49ers v Jets All 22 REVIEW Film Don't Lie 👀

Victory Tuesday feels almost as good as victory Monday hell it feels better a prime time win week one against a Jets team that had all the hype in the world in the off season and the 49ers absolutely take care of business in a dominant dominant fashion last year they started out hot beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road a team that we expected that they would win but a blowout was a bit surprising because the Pittsburgh Steelers are always ready and then we saw what the 49ers were able to do they were able to carry that momentum through the season all the way through the NFC Championship eventually losing in the Super Bowl what will this season hold well it's too early to tell that necessarily but starting out hot week one not only beating a Jets team but blowing them out I think is very very impressive and now we got film we can watch we're going to watch the all 22 of the offense only I put out a poll earlier and said hey do you want to watch the defense and Bosa a lot of people were giving Nick Bosa tons of crap about how he played so I thought maybe people would want to check that out but people said they'd rather watch the offense and puny in particular so that's what we're going to do we're going to quickly run through the offensive film I got about an hour before I got a show on Roundtable Sports over there talking trash to the NFC West guys can't wait for that but until then we got a film revieww to get into too so we'll get into it we'll get into it [Music] next all right welcome back to last second Sports we are giving you our take down to the last second and it's a film review day no seal so riding uh going to ride a little solo Doo and uh let's just get into this film I haven't watched it yet myself so I always like I always like waiting on watching it and then watching it with y'all because it's like first time through you guys catch some things that maybe I'm not catching vice versa we can just watch it it's like rewatching the game but in all 22 version and it makes it kind of nice I'm not going to lie it's very very nice to watch it from this angle because there's so many little things that you don't catch now Dominic puny for all intents and purposes we heard he had a good game PFF graded him out is one of the best run blocking guys in the NFL this past weekend now Colton mckivitz by all intents and purposes did not have a great game he had a couple penalties clearly he was overwhelmed on a couple of these plays but is that the case throughout the game did he play relatively okay outside of those not quite sure that's why we have film to review before we get to that let me get to the comments make sure I don't miss anything here gav I see you're here dude it's 1 in the morning for you you literally are here just to watch Kyle juice and his one big play his one catch is that what you're here to watch I know you I know you sly guy being juice fan love you some Kyle use Che so all right let's get into it first play from scrimmage now remember the the Jets had just gone three and out I keep wanting to say Packers just because Aaron Rogers on the team I liked what I saw from puny there just getting up to the next level immediately look at him right here good job boom gets up to the next level Jets were just ready for it I mean usually it's pretty clear first play of the game and you're backed up inside your own 10 it's almost guaranteed to be a run so they were prepared as prepared as you're going to get no surprises all right second and eight we got juice lined up to the right Debo in motion I UK down at the bottom of the screen here good quick decision by perie and what does the offensive line do here nice little double team over there brindell and puny this is what one thing I noticed about puny during the preseason we'll see if it plays out here today when we're watching this but pun's always trying to find work always trying to find work like a lot of the offens a lot of offensive lineman across the league they'll do their duty but if there's nothing around they're not looking to get dirty if that makes sense pun's always got his head on a swiv he's always looking for cont or contact always looking to help out I love that about him look at him that's a great example right there quinnon Williams just torched mckivitz by the way but look at what puny does they fake the blitz so watch this guy over puny is going to fake the Blitz and then he's in a back off they've got five men up on the line really I mean you could have a six guy depending on how you want to look at that that could blitz so you have six people that are threats potentially you're going to get a simulated pressure and a back off once he realizes there's nobody in front of him he's going to try to help out mckivitz now mckivitz gets beat so bad that he can't help but still I love that from puny I mean Quinton Williams is one of the best I get that but dude dude mckivitz but watch puny watch what he does okay nothing let me try to help it's too late too late he's already beat is what it is yeah Colton is getting walked into pretty's lap a lot I see you Otis Otis sweatpants it's a funny name look at puny man good job by brindell too actually brindell had a nice little help there push his ni 4 over so that puny can carry him now it's tough for him to get back but ultimately overall does a pretty good job look at he pushes 94 then he gets back tries to get to the linebacker linebacker is a little too quick is able to beat him to the angle that's Mosley I believe I mean these guys are asked to do a lot and that's that's kind of the frustrating thing though right is that K Shanahan does expect a lot from his offensive line and then he goes and like drafts guys super late undrafted guys just expects him to perform at a high level like there's a lot on these guys' plates man it's not easy yeah I remember Debo kind of complaining about the ball placement here let's see if my first thought was like dude it's a linebacker you can't even separate from a linebacker like what are we actually doing here like what kind of ball placement are you looking for how about just separate from a linebacker I mean I don't know that that's ball bad ball placement I mean could it have been out in front of him by another 6 in possibly sure was it perfect I guess not but it was out in front of you and the linebacker just makes a really good play on it and you got zero separation I don't I don't know what to tell you oh you guys see what I saw you guys see what I saw watch brendell here I mean just okay all right he ends up on his butt way more often than he should he doesn't he but it was a good save oh he does there never mind he ends up on his knees he there's like once a game where he does that is there other I don't know I guess I don't watch enough offensive lineman offensive Line's not my forte I like to watch the play develop I like to talk quarterbacks really that's what I I really enjoy doing um but you know when we're talking 49ers the offensive line so important that we've got to discuss it you know technique wise I'm not going to be the most sound as far as breaking that down but you know when it's supposed to look good and that doesn't look good now that looked pretty good did you guys hear last night when uh who's it Aman said that Mason looked like Marshon Lynch and when you heard that were like duh of course he does we know that we know he looks like Marshon Lynch he runs just like him we've been saying it uh Kyle's proven he can win with a less than Adept oine uh and I think sometimes we're overcritical of the o line well I mean I think it it depends on what's the talking point gav if the if the conversation is well listen these guys aren't uh they're not high draft picks they're living up to expectation technically I mean yes they are they're living up to expectation but within the confines of what else is across the NFL with these teams that really put a lot to their offensive line it's just not acceptable and and again you know I think this is the hard part the 49ers are in a position where they're they were this close to winning a Super Bowl this close so if we don't get nitpicky and granular with this team to figure out what can push them over the top what can be the Difference Maker to finally win a Super Bowl then it's really tough to have conversation I mean if we're just excited with the team being good we can do that that um but I feel like that was like if we were Detroit Lions fans last year just being excited would be acceptable but I bet you Detroit Lions fans this year have a whole different expectation and the way they talk about their team will be much different than the way they talked about their team a year ago right because that excitement's kind of worn off now you have expectations now you're trying to figure out how do you make that next step and so I think a lot of times when we discuss the 49ers it can be looked at as like negative or what have you and really it's like yeah we're we're being very hypercritical of the team but that's because that's what this team has earned like if you if you I don't know if you've ever coached anyone or you know if you have kids but if you believe in somebody's potential usually you're you're almost hypercritical on them because you believe they can do so good if you didn't believe in them you just kind of let them be you'd be like eh I mean whatever that you know you did you tried you did your best but I don't really expect anything else but when you truly believe in someone and you expect good things from them you kind of are overly critical I think that's just life s Gardner man good defense here did you know I don't know if you guys knew this but Brock P went six for six when s Gardner was off the field if you I mean if you don't think SAU makes a difference uh he definitely does he's a hell of a player man he's a really really good football player really good football player man even on that catch I auk was kind of like like little bobbly he just didn't seem confident or sure of himself last night it definitely wasn't the Brandon iuk that we've all enjoyed watching the last couple years you know what I mean he he just he was just off but that's what happens when you miss all of training camp that's what happens so I like what py did uh did there just getting down protecting himself good job by juice gav gav your guy good job by juice man that was a defensive end one-on-one you did a good job holding up there really good job actually look at this they expect him to block 72 all all on his own he gets in free juice comes across the formation it's one on one does a good enough job oh no Scott I I saw that though s definitely didn't like tackling Debo twice he pulls up lame with the shoulder tackling Debo so but as far as a coverage Corner man SAU is really good SAU is really really good great run here see how it opens up Banks getting mobile good job nice work nice work by the offensive line they really gave him two options he could have cut in right here could have cut in there or could have bounced it out did a good job I think he made the right decision because if he would have cut in he would have probably made contact earlier but ultimately I think they gave him good running lanes for sure this play right here Kyle dude there's a third and five and they're running a trick play it's like why not throw the football and then you lost three or four yards you turned a 47 yard field goal into a four yeah 51 yard field goal I don't know I think he got too cute here there was a couple instances where Kyle I think on third down fourth down decisions just unnecessary in the Debo dude protect the ball look at this look at Debo just letting it just hanging the ball out there for anybody to grab look at him yeah don't do that don't do that d That's how you fumble fumble there would have been disastrous oh that's the play from training camp the one that everybody was excited about god dude they just bit on that play action so hard Brock just had a free 10 yards basically look at this look at everybody on the screen they just completely go with Mason my gosh every there every single person there's nobody there how can you not take that he's like all right free 10 yards let's go great job great fake by everybody nice just green grass in front of him yeah stoie I saw that um I think quarterback sliding is like a lost art and he played baseball I'm pretty sure I mean it's just a baseball slide see this where I think Debo's at his best these types of plays I don't like Debo just lining up in the back field I like to get him on the edge cuz usually he's going to go against Corners you know obviously you've got a chance of a linebacker and I think a linebacker makes a play here but you know a lot of times you get on the edge and it's you and Corners oneon-one that's why he was able to break that first tackle right that that was a corner and that's much different than lining up in the back field than just running behind a fullback like that's a whole different ball game you know what I mean I like Debo when he's in motion like that gets a running Head Start because Debo's all about momentum you give him momentum and he's just a handful and on plays like that you're guaranteeing momentum before he even gets the ball so for me that's that's where Debo's at his best jet sweeps all that type of stuff I I love it orbit screens just get them in motion and get them the ball and let Mason and CMC and gendo and all these other guys take these big hits from the big bodies up front they're built for it Debo losing weight I don't necessarily want him taking those shots I don't think it's ideal great block by uh sabert there lined up as a fullback good job KD of course doing great work I mean that was all the tight ends that whole running Lane was because of those tight ends look at this sober man heck yeah heck yeah great block by both those tight end Mason man he just find me a play where he runs into somebody and he goes backwards have we seen that yet like not just in this game have we seen that period he doesn't go backwards he hits you and he just keeps moving forward every single time man it's just cheap yards and not all running backs can do that it's fantastic he's a handful I mean three broken tackles and then in a pile of three guys and still moves forward a half a yard that's just dude he's incredible he's incredible oh man he's just so fun to watch so fun to watch mots man gosh dude man was that just another good play by the DB his DBS were tough man they battled I mean every single time not every time but that's hyperbole but most of the time these guys were making tough catches like there was a hand in there from a DB these guys they play tough It's a good secondary puny man great job by him Jan Jennings tell me if you guys agree with this I'm not a Golden State Warriors fan but offensively Jennings is kind of Draymond Green right like if you were comparing these guys to Golden State Warriors he's kind of the Draymond Green he just grimy gets in there isn't afraid to do the dirty work and then it's like out of nowhere when you need him to make a catch or a big play he just does it just does it man great throw catch gosh another one Mason just getting robbed of yards man robbed of yardage I mean it's definitely a hold it's definitely a hold I feel like it didn't have to happen either I don't know that s Gardner was excited to go T Le uh I mean he literally almost shielded himself from Mason and then like pulled Debo into him too like keep hold me man I don't hold me back hold me back I swear I want to tackle him he didn't want to tackle Mason come on nobody wanted to tackle Mason that was like a middle school fight where it's like no you throw the first punch no hold me back hold me back come on he didn't want to tackle him he didn't want to tackle him I think he was held but he he was totally fine being held he encouraged it I remember when I thought this was a penalty I was like all right Niners three penalties one drive man this is super undisciplined football but they ended up pulling that flag back that was because they threw it behind the line of scrimmage it was technically a run or threw it backwards so it was a technically a run run or whatever have you Mason is just a handful yeah Mason's not only his hands but his route running is block I mean everything Mason's just better there he goes balling forward again that's the goal let's see if we can find one play where he gets hit and gets driven backwards I don't think it exists and yeah I think they should have let him run this one in I think that is this when Debo takes it yeah but see Debo's all he's just more effective when he gets to the edge way more effective when he gets to the edges he just is I mean that's twice now we saw him get to the edge on a play like this and he got yardage positive yardage both times but when you run him up the gut it's like yeah you know he'll get a few yards maybe but he's taking much bigger hits I don't know I just I mean these are Corners corners and safeties hitting them he can take those it's not linebackers and linemen and yeah Mason definitely should have gotten TD Trent just swatted that man yeah he definitely did definitely did oops here we go nice layered throw from pie Ronnie Bell blocking downfield look at him Ronnie Bell Ronnie Bell may not be the best receiver he may not pan out totally we'll see but man he is not afraid to get get dirty he's definitely a Niner the way he plays he's very physical I like Ronnie Bell a lot of effort and that's the other thing about Debo in the back field it's almost a guarantee he's going to get the ball when he's back there so you're not fooling anybody like who's fooled when deo's in the back field eight times out of 10 he's getting the ball ran you know handoff to him the other time they're going to throw to him on a Texas route and then one time out of 10 it's like okay we'll play action and do something different like it's pretty clear when Debo's back there he's most likely touching the football so it just doesn't it's kind of lost its luster now I think if you put like him and Mason or him and CMC back there together you can have some fun right you can do some really cool things but when he's back there as a single back he's he's usually getting the ball Mason's still falling forward I'll say this stebo had a penalty earlier he might have been able to have one here too cuz that's a hold as well um but but effort wise Debo's not a great blocker he's not but the problem I've had with Debo in the past is a lot of times he hasn't been a willing blocker he's been a willing Blocker on this film which is great to see great to see Mason made a few of these catches in uh training camp as well when I was there had guys draped all over them contested catches I mean that's a that's not an easy grab for a running back you got a linebacker hanging on you it's a really really good catch from Mason good route jugs machine helped him that's probably I talked about it during I think the last film session we did but that's probably my favorite thing from Brock it's just his ability to stop at a moment's notice look at this stop get his feet set fire the ball again I talked about it then and I'll talk about it here these are not sexy plays they're not plays that are going to make ESPN they don't even really do anything in the box score if we're keeping it a buck but being able to stop protect yourself change your arm angle and fire completion there to keep the ball out of Harm's Way I mean those things matter they just add up and I know a lot of people were really critical of Brock you I didn't play well and was six for six when s was out if s had played that series maybe it wouldn't have been blah blah whatever all I know is I I agree I think for Brock pie I think for any any quarterback in this offense with these weapons and Kyle Shanahan it might be easier than it is for a lot of people a lot of quarterbacks across the NFL but easy isn't always easy if that makes sense like the way that I see it is the Tennessee Titans lost this week when all will Levis had to do was the easy stuff if he had just played basic football and played within the confines of that offense they would have won that game no problem but will Levis couldn't make the easy look easy and so they lost Brock P makes the easy look easy but that's a test to him being able to execute Shan Jennings just gets open man he's such a big body and he just gets open I mean the way he can separate with the lack of speed he has is impressive Jawan Jennings is an impressive football player I remember two years ago and Fred Warner said he's one of the best football players on the team and I was like Jan Jennings like really you guys think that highly of him it's clear now right like you watched Jaan Jennings last year and now you watch him early this year it is clear why Fred said what he said he is a really good football player a really good football player and it it seems like every time he's on Prime Time a new group of fans realizes how good he is but man we know we know how good he is he's an important piece to this team offensive Line's kind of holding up right like they've done a good job I feel like for the most part mckivitz you know penalty a couple blown passes blocks what have you but I think for the mo and you know listen he he's always the first one to give it up like look at no the offensive line does good and he's always the first one to give up the pressure but overall I mean he gave enough time was such a good throw by perie golly midseason iuk makes that catch but also I don't know I feel like auk's dropped kind of those diving things quite a bit throughout his career it's just not a catch he's perfected actually no issue with mckivitz there he does a good job gets his guy on the ground gives room for pry to climb the pocket might have been a Hold by Banks I think banks was probably holding there I think banks was probably holding we'll see I got a jet at like 8:55 to get ready for that other show so I don't know that we'll make it through all of it but they were ready you know the Jets were definitely CH at Halftime by uh Salah andri they just were getting gashed and I think they were certainly challenged and they came out as fiery as they could have I think they held up pretty decent early in the Run game but ultimately they just they couldn't do it they couldn't handle it they really couldn't see I like that wrinkle start with dbo in the back field motion him out get him a free release because he's coming out of the back field and then great play by py here just get the ball out keep it safe allow your player to go make a play I mean there's a lot of quarterbacks get sacked there a lot of quarterbacks get sacked there it's not easy to keep your eyes down field when you've got pressure in your lap and he does a great job of it I mean that's a sack for probably 15 starters in the NFL or an incompletion maybe an interception for a couple of them will Lis Daniel Jones now they're just getting the ball out quick let me skip through a couple of this here see if we can get through most of this ah brendel just got blown up pressure immediately up the middle Mason has to slow down it allows people on the edge to get the beat just not a great rep there from Jake brendell gosh man the whole right side fell on their backs I think puny held up pretty good though he definitely got pushed over and I think he probably tripped on a foot but he held up pretty good look at this formation that's interesting huh you guys see that look at this I don't know that I've seen that one very often I like it though apologize guys I got the sniffles I've been under the weather since Friday I just can't seem to kick it man it's head cold it's killing me oh that was the quote unquote could have been a hip drop tackle huh yeah I don't I don't know the rule on it man that one's tough you saying uh Feliciano at Center when he gets back yeah Daniel maybe I don't know that if that that's a penalty by the letter of the law though like hold on let me look at I'm going to read it real quick while we're at it 3 4ish minutes hip drop tackle roll grabs the runner with both hands wraps them with both arms okay swivel or rotates their hips unweighting themselves lands on the runner's legs and feet I mean he kind of did all those things right some say that the ban is difficult to enforce because it's hard to determine tackle is a hip drop or not others say the officials can use their discretion to call a hip drop when it looks like one even if it's not yeah I mean by the letter of the law I feel like feel like that was probably a hip drop great job up front it's good catch by juice yeah that was the one J JV andr we just saw that play that's why I was talking about the hip drop Mason still has not been pushed backwards on a tackle maybe next week right maybe next week Minnesota will be able to get it done I don't know yeah Gojira listen I I don't necessarily disagree um you know the 49ers hip drop quite a bit actually uh the linebackers in particular green law and Fred Warner so um it's something they've got to change in their game I I'm not necessarily um against the rule being um taken away you know tackles are tackles I get it but if the rules in place I mean by the letter of the law that certainly should have been enforc right I mean he did all the things necessary the three things in order for it to be a hip drop in my opinion yeah but cryptic this happens every year with every rule change I feel like we get into the uh we get into the playoffs things are called a little bit different and then it's like oh the new stupid rule affects something again juice there it is gav we made it at at least to that for you bud there you go there you go there's your guy great protection up front good route by juice dime by py bang bang bang great execution all the way across the board perfect I don't know that I mean how many fullbacks are there realistically in the league 10 cryptic I mean no I think your answer is no there's not a a pass catching fullbacks as good as juice but to be fair I I don't know that there's more than 10 fullbacks on NFL rosters I could be wrong maybe 15 but I feel like there's not a lot you know and then you got guys like Ricard and Baltimore that it's like they're I mean they're listed as fullbacks but they're really an extra offensive lineman I mean that guy's massive absolutely massive gosh Mason dude he's just anybody else won fantasy football this week because of Mason I did I did felt pretty good about that had CMC found out he was out went and picked up Mason in my 10-man league and won coming from behind I felt great I think most 12-man leagues he was definitely picked up I know he was in my my uh money league but I have a work league as well and uh it's 10 of us and he was available and well I won I definitely won I mean just to even get that throw off is so damn impressive look at this I mean it looks awkward but just to protect himself from getting blasted that's so hard to do get the throw off and protect yourself from getting hit that's just not he's just super agile gosh dude Mason's can't I dude every time he runs it's just so exciting to watch my gosh man how can you not be geeked for Mason after last night wow should we talk real quick about uh are you being are you being factious Jedi are you being factious yes it was an incomplete pass I feel like you might be being factious but maybe maybe you're actually you do mean it you're saying wow I don't know it's hard to readone but dude that was an impressive play even though it was incomplete um you are okay all right I knew it um but let's talk about Mason last night right he has the game of his life finally gets to start you got Kyle Shanahan allegedly making his decision and telling Mason Friday he's starting you're not hating oh okay um I like how you preface you're saying you're not hating today by the way Jedi but anyways Mason has the game of his life finally gets start presumably is told Friday he's going to start now by league rules if you knew that CMC wasn't playing you're supposed to report that at least list him is doubtful what have you they didn't do that so Kyle doesn't let Mason in on the hey make sure you don't tell anybody tip probably doesn't account for he's going to have the game of his life and get interviewed after the game but then he comes to the podium and is visibly like oh what I mean no we you know that we didn't say that I mean he must have misunderstood you know Mason gets reamed behind the scenes for it and then Matt mayoko asks about it I know fans were frustrated like oh why do you even ask him it's like come on the question's not a bad question he trying to get clarification there's nothing wrong with the question Matt mayoko is great at this like let's calm down on that but Mason visibly upset because you know know he got read the riot act for telling the truth and it's like man come on that was on Kyle that was his flub if he was in fact told Friday that he's starting again wasn't there who knows I'm sure he was and it's not like the 49ers are the only team that does this I know I'm it is what it is but like Mason's night probably wasn't ruined but definitely got a hiccup that wasn't needed and it could have been avoided like that's on Kyle you got to do better man you got to do better for that you guys got to get him prepped he doesn't know any better he's just telling you what happened I hate that his KN was had anything in it but flowers cuz that's all he deserved yesterday hell of a game by him big reason they won coming out party I mean just fantastic fantastic evening I hate that it it had a damper in it because that other BS also I do want to say this about CMC as well so we're talking running backs um you know listen CMC we'll see when he's able to return um but this is exactly why he wanted guaranteed money you know I remember talking all offseason Hey listen he's 28 you never know when the wheels can fall off and people are like oh he's it's CMC he's going to be great forever like sign him and tell he's 50 if he wants okay he's a running back that's all I know and I'm not saying he's lost a step when he does actually return I'm sure he'll look great but there's a reason he wants guaranteed money much like Trent Williams more so for CMC he knew how good Mason was let's not forget that in training camp he talked him up he knew how good Mason was and he knew that that if he got injured no guaranteed money that he'd be gone after this year because Mason would come in and play really good football and guess what he got hurt Mason came in and played really good football and now if he is gone next year which I doubt he's protected and he'll make money guaranteed money so that's why CMC and Trent did what they did is for that exact reason right there Jus what I'm saying is NE if if C if Mason continues to play well and cmc's in and out of the lineup throughout the course of the year a little bit why would you bring back a player for what 124 million when you can just get out of the contract turn things over to Mason save the much needed money probably bring back both of your Corners instead of having to choose potentially like that's a no-brainer I mean that's just smart or you can pay $14 million for a 29y old running back that has just played another year of football knowing you've got a young lion ready to go on the bench like I don't know I I just what CMC did was smart business on his part and I totally understand it I just think that was a reason why we kind of saw it in in Full full display yesterday in my opinion jet gang hey Jets gang we had a hat bet you have to get a 49er hat and you have to call in and we have to bring you up and see you in that 49er hat we did have we did have a hat bet if I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure and also so respect to you for coming in the chat it's been a day I'm not even going to go tough on you now I don't know if you're familiar with King lki he's about to get it on that round table but uh all right appreciate you jet King I'd have been looking dumb up here in a Jets hat if I had to but G that have been awful I mean the Green's even ugly who likees green anyways just a awful color I'm just joking I'm wearing literally wearing green right now I'm wearing green right now I'm just joking those helmets are actually pretty fire I'm not going to lie I do like their their UNIS if if that was Jimmy G pointing that would have been an interception guaranteed how much you want to bet yeah Mo I think Eric looked really good actually um we've pointed it out a couple times he's looked good puny I think looked every bit as good as what people thought he did on second notice I mean here's a great play from him right here being able to cut over and Shield off this Defender super impressive I mean he's able to hold him back from Mason get his body in front that's an athletic move from a big guy that's not easy I mean look at where 94 starts and look at where he is and he's able to just boom cut him off get on that side of him it's really good this is a great play by Debo really really good play by dbo yeah they were there were some good running Lanes um big Dez I agree with you listen this was game one I'm not going to nitpick too much but if Mason just becomes CMC and starts running the ball like 30 times a game and gindo doesn't spell him we're going to have the same conversation that we did we're going to have the same exact conversation we did with CMC where it's like man just keep them fresh e Jus says 49ers win the Super Bowl if uh Mason closes yeah maybe maybe I felt like he could have been closing all last season though you know I mean it was clear to me why he wasn't getting a lot of playing time I mean listen I talked about it all season I know we all wanted him to play but he didn't know his assignments he wasn't a good blocker consistently running the wrong routes wasn't great at pass catching but he's literally improved at all those things that's why he's able to get on the field this year but as a runner I think he could have closed out a lot of those games when they had a lead and it's like you know defenses knew he was running you know what I mean or or knew that the 49ers were running why not just put Mason in there cuz you know he's going to run tough yeah Jus I mean it's over five yards a carry right what did he 5.6 yards per carry coming into last night and then he averaged over six a carry yesterday like dude just an impressive football player that was like the one throw and catch where auk looked like he looked like auk like he felt comfortable he didn't Bobble the ball ran a clean route timing was good with pie that was like the one play Hey Jets gang how come you guys didn't play your I think what rookie right you guys have a a rookie I think he's a rookie running back number zero he came in like really really late in the game how come you guys didn't play him he's tough felt like he could have done some things like Bree hall underwhelmed yesterday I feel like jetking you know what I mean feel like he underwhelmed yeah Allan there you go he's tough he's a good runner I mean he's kind of like your version of Mason a little bit I feel like he could have played and made a little bit of a difference in that game I want to say this too I said it yesterday but I'll reiterate it a lot of people are given giving Aaron Rogers crap and maybe he's washed I don't know I I felt like he made three really really good throws that a lot of quarterbacks in this league can't most quarterbacks in this league can't um he definitely looks slow-footed a lot slower footed than what I remember um but that's to be expected I I'm going to give credit to the n defense yesterday and we'll see how Aaron Rogers plays out maybe I'm just dead wrong on this maybe he is shot but I feel like over the course of the Season he's going to be pretty good for most of it and I think the I think saying he's bad at this moment we don't fully know is just taking away credit from this defense who did a great job on Bree Hall and and a fantastic job on Rogers as well outside of a couple plays so I'm just going to give full credit to the 49ers defense I think the Jets will probably bounce back and I think Aaron Rogers is still pretty good but we'll see we'll see um that being said I do got a run everybody come
