Star Wars Explained Cancellation Attempt BACKFIRES

well let's tell the story we woke up on a Wednesday morning I was not on daily thank god um I had the day off so I got started a little later around 10 a.m. I get a DM a message request from somebody I didn't follow didn't know with a tweet with a meme attached to it a cancel culture meme I already know the story and I'm so interested just based on the way that you're presenting this I'm teaching you how to stream jery okay real quick so me and Jay were on a stream that morning and Jay told me about the campaign before the stream started and I told him I don't want to respond to it I'm not going to give it any I'm not going to give it any attention it's not worth it let's just see how it plays out halfway through the stream he sends me Molly Damon's tweet and I was like okay then there's something more like this is like if you started looking at it but so that's when I decided to address it on daily now I'd messaged Ryan I believe didn't I message you before daily too and asked you like do should I respond to this messed me during it okay and you said should I respond to this yeah and I was like honestly I don't know but I think it's getting kind of big yeah and then uh So I responded to it and uh you know talked about it on daily and at that time Ryan you were getting DMS about it correct yeah yeah so you were getting DMS about it so we started to realize like okay this thing is weird and then you started looking into it more and and you said that around 10:00 a.m. you had the rewriting Ripley video drop but at the same time all of these accounts simultaneously all started tweeting out similar stuff tagging team YouTube and it was so obvious that this was coordinated was so OB it was not organic at All Star Wars explained at this point in time their channel is essentially dead based on the amount of subscribers they have like they they are they aren't that relevant anymore and this is one of the reasons they're so angry because they are not relevant anymore mainly because they're talking about a show that nobody likes when I started seeing how coordinated all of this is I'm like guys your tweets you look at their Twitter account their Twitter account isn't that active anymore either they don't get well mainly because they blocked every [ __ ] body and then they turn replies off of every tweet that they make so it was obvious that this was more like this was some kind of Discord server or Discord group chat or whatever where they coordinate and all of that the thing they accuse of of all the time which is we don't have that type of [ __ ] um so this thing really starts to get a lot of traction um throughout the day but also gets a lot of resistance and you started to see a lot of people speak up and you worry at that point like how is this going to you know what's going to happen here because we've done nothing wrong we haven't broken any terms of service we haven't violated any rules I know that everybody in the chat knows that all of this stuff is being manipulated and taken out of uh context okay this is obviously like coordinated a couple people pretty much everyone that was tweeting it out initially were also people that had been trying to get the acolyte renewed and [ __ ] like that but the verbiage of the the images that they were sharing around the verbiage of the images I knew like [ __ ] immediately that this had to be involving the rewriting Ripley people the same people who back in March of 2021 organized a campaign and attempt to get us deplatformed and demonetized from YouTube um because th this [ __ ] first paragraph where it's all about Milo yannopoulos criticizing Ghostbusters I said in my stream yesterday very famously Milo yannopoulos is the first person to ever criticize a movie you know so the playbook for criticizing movies clearly came from Milo yannopoulos um so when I saw that in the first paragraph like these [ __ ] have to be behind that so I switched over to account where I'm not blocked by them and checked out rewriting Ripley and sure enough at 959 one minute before all of these other people had started coordinating and tweeting this thing out at the same time at 10: am Eastern one minute before that rewrite and replay dropped yet another video calling for action and calling for demonetization of myself you and Gary like this is who was behind it um this very same people combined with a couple acolyte fans and who knows if Star Wars YouTubers were involved in this or just were made aware that this was happening and decided to signal boost it kind of tough to tell it's really no no evidence of one thing or the other uh but certainly a lot of Star Wars YouTubers some of them which have you know access to Lucas film who have pictures with Dave filon and Leslie headin and get these trips out to Lucas film people like that very much involved with trying to read this targeted attack and get us demonetized like that was very obvious from the start and we're talking about hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of posts like that's the number of posts I feel like we're talking about when you scrolled through it on that day and you know what these people have had rough lives Jeremy they haven't had many wins in fact they've taken a lot of L's had a lot of losses when they decided a couple years ago to come out to tell their parents that they're gay or trans their parents probably disowned them that didn't go over well for them they said you know what I've got this new Star Wars show coming out it represents me and I'm so happy for it it's called The acolyte I can't wait to watch five seasons of this and they loved it when it was on not because of the story but because it was representative it was diverse they thought finally I have something for me well that got [ __ ] canceled because nobody watched it oh another blow there but then they said there are more of us we know if we get enough attention we can get this show renewed I know there's people out there that love it that didn't work out very well for him either 70,000 70,000 Subs uh signatures on their petition last I look 70,000 signatures on a Star Wars project are you kidding me yeah but then JY listen they they failed there too right fail fail fail fail fail but then they had an idea a terrible awful idea what if all these people that are talking bad about our show you know the reason that people don't like it just because these YouTubers probably mind control them and not liking it couldn't be possible that people don't have the same opinions as we do we need to take them down we need to coordinate we need to launch a targeted attack we need to tell team YouTube what's going on we need to demand that they get demonetized and for 24 hours in these people's miserable pointless stupid pathetic lives they thought they had done something so many people were talking about this team YouTube was replying to them encouraging them to report these videos of course all of them said I've been reporting them for years and you've done nothing but for 24 hours they felt like they had a victory until team YouTube responded and said go [ __ ] yourselves you losers team YouTube coming through with a big old w team YouTube Dropped a Bomb on them and essentially said we know this is probably upsetting to you but none of this content violates our policies we took a careful look at all the videos involved and these videos will remain up and after that response the same crowd that preaches about love and tolerance and uh we need to stop the hate you saw people sending death threats to the team YouTube or to YouTube C o that's been documented it's in my video it's in asmin Gold's video you saw a meltdown of like insane proportions then you start seeing the same people that were co-signing this were then suddenly distancing themselves from it Molly Damon Star Wars Newsnet and others were like well I didn't have anything to do with the creation of this I was just sharing it for awareness it's like that is not what you said you you put your stamp approval on this when you were sharing it out now if you don't know in the world of the the YouTube game the absolute worst thing you can do as a YouTuber is to false flag another YouTube channel it's the it's it is the worst thing you can do you can recover from a lot of things false flagging other YouTubers that this is the worst play possible right here for for anybody if you don't believe me ask mundane Matt okay you don't recover from these things you just don't do it it's the worst thing you can do and that is that is exactly what a lot of these uh you know Pro acolyte Star Wars YouTubers have done now they have theyve went on a false flagging campaign a mass false flagging campaign against people that they disagree with worst thing you can do I do not support it and 99% of all normal people just will not support that action because it's truly Next Level that's the path they've chose to go down so yeah so that's the that's the path that the uh the critics of ours have chosen to to take and um ultimately um I don't endorse going after them I don't endorse flagging their channels or anything like that even though I do have every right to I don't um because you know I know that there's been a lot of discussion about we should sue them and all of that I mean as I said in my video last night um there's no damages at this point in time now if the they do end up getting our channels false flagged then that's a whole different discussion but at the time of this uh there's been no damages and that's ultimately what that comes down to is actual damages they have been after us for three years three years now there's a ton of receipts that have been collected there's a ton of receipts every time you freaks start tweeting out about us and lying and slandering it's all being uh screenshotted it's all being filed away it's all being there to build something in the event that we actually needed so I would encourage people to continue don't go after these people but screenshot and document and internet archive all of their stuff that's what I would encourage people to do and that's what people have been doing because it is continuing to build a pattern of behavior over years to go after us and slander us and lie about us in the event that something does happen all the documentation is there and we will continue to document it every tweeted doesn't matter how many followers they have it doesn't matter what type of if they have YouTube channels or what any of this behavior that is pointing towards this coordinated effort towards us documenting it is all a good thing yeah and I've said repeatedly time and time again whether we're talking about an actress or a show or some YouTuber says something we would never encourage anybody to go over to their Instagram and leave a comment or go [ __ ] downvote their [ __ ] it or say like nasty [ __ ] we've never done that ever we're simply putting out our opinions on things for those of us that agree uh on what we think about the shows that's great there's going to be people that don't agree with us that's just the way it is um yeah and like you said Jeremy there's not really any damages uh I think there's actively a lot of people that also maybe don't like uh some of the people that are involved in the hate campaign against us that desperately want us to sue them because they know it would be bad for them even though that's a pretty big task to put on us to do uh but like you said at this point in time all we've done is benefit from them coming after us at least as of right now yeah and um we'll see what the future holds but as of right now um we're continuing to move forward and there's nothing these weirdos are going to do
