Introduction [Music] greetings and salutations everyone my name is an kof and welcome to my YouTube channel today I'm going to be talking about my week 2 waiver wire targets for the 2024 fantasy football season now considering all the dud performances and injuries that took place in week 1 it's only appropriate that we hit the waiver wire in order to find players that can make an immediate impact for our rosters come week two so over the course of today's episode I'm going to be talking about the best available running backs wide receivers tight ends quarterback kickers and defenses on our Waiver Wires players that are available in majority of leagues so that we can of course help our lineups not only for this upcoming week but for the remainder of the 2024 fantasy football season because again our singular goal is to capture a 2024 Fantasy Football Championship so as you can see to the right side of the screen we're going to begin by talking about running backs individually talking about each of these players and sharing with you guys my thought process and opinions while also presenting statistics as to why I believe they are ranked as such going into this upcoming week's waiver wire now if you're looking for my thoughts on a specific player you can travel down to the description of the video down there I have time stamps for each individual player that I'm going to talk about over the course of today's episode while you're down there if you have not yet already subscribe to the channel because we're making daily fantasy football content for the entirety of the season after tonight's Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers I will be streaming here on the channel so if you have any questions be sure to swing on by outside of that let's go ahead and begin by talking about the running back position in regards to our week two Waiver Wires of course because of the injuries and dud performances that happened this week many of us may feel that our players are lacking in terms of overall production or perhaps you're dealing with players with injury Week 1 Injuries I mean week one before the week even started of course we had T Higgins Maris Hollywood Brown Russell Wilson with injuries pukaa Jordan Love David and joku Jake Ferguson Kenneth Walker Jordan Addison all dealing with injuries after their week one efforts and even romad dun scheduled for an MRI on his knee we're going to have to wait and see the results of that but let's talk about our J.K. Dobbins number one running back going into this week it is JK Dobbins a player that at this curent moment in time via ESPN fantasy is being rostered in 77% of leagues and on Yahoo fantasy 49% of leagues if in fact he is available he's coming off of an incredible week of 21.4 fantasy points and a half PPR scoring format three targets three receptions 10 rushing attempts for 135 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown between him and Gus Edwards Gus Edwards was primarily the guy that we all thought was going to be the number one considering of course JK Dobbins is coming off of a season in which he tore his Achilles we would have assumed that JK Dobbins would have had a slower start but considering JK Dobbins out snapped Gus Edwards 33 to 24 also was given a greater opportunity share within this backfield 13 compared to Gus Edwards 12 and the fact that JK Dobbins ran far more routes 17 in comparison to Gus Edward 6 it looks like the Los Angeles Chargers really were running with the hot hand I mean we heard earlier in the week Greg Roman the offensive coordinator of this team come out and say that we are going to give our running backs the ball based on their hot hand and JK Dobbins demonstrated that in this game now in the first half of the game had only five total yards combined but in the second half took over he had rushes of two 0 46 1 12 27 and in a 61 yard gash against that Las Vegas Raiders defense obviously he was hawked down twice was able to score himself a 12 yard rushing touchdown But as time progresses this really does remind me of 2023 Breeze Hall in the form in which week one of last season on that Monday Night Football game Breeze Hall got hawked down in time the legs will get underneath JK Dobbins he will be far healthier as the season progresses and he'll begin to feel more confident and these opportunities that he gets to break off big runs will lead to touchdowns ultimately this is a run first offense in fact the Los Angeles Chargers had more rushing attempts as an offense than passing attempts in yesterday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders so as long as you're going to have the lead back of a run first offense a player that if we go back to 2022 from weeks 14-9 as a member of the Baltimore Ravens offense with Greg Roman as the offensive coordinator from weeks 14 through 19 was averaging 15 touches per game and 13 fantasy points per game that was the last five full games that he you know obviously Pres presented to us for Fantasy purposes we know that he is a Dependable back all we need to do is of course get him on our roster because he is going to potentially be the lead back of the Los Angeles Chargers for the remainder of the season now in terms of Fab potential going into this upcoming week it really is going to be dependent on how much you need a starting running back in comparison to other teams in your league you may be dealing in a situation where you might want to pick him up in order to be a bench stash or potentially pick him up to trade him in those kind of circumstances you'll need to spend somewhere probably between 15 to 20% now if you're in a for far more desperate situation which I don't think many of us will be considering there weren't any major running back injuries but if you're in a far more desperate situation and you know your league mates better than I do you might want to spend more than that 15 to 20% overall Fab Capital Zach Charbonnet now let's move on to our number two Zack shanet we were just talking about running back injuries moments ago and the reason why Zack shanet sits at number two currently rostered on 47% of Yahoo leagues 60% of ESPN leagues is primarily because of Kenneth Walker's injury that he sustained yesterday he's obviously dealing with an abdomen injury after the game he did tell the press that he is going to be fine but we also heard from the head coach Mike McDonald come out and say that we haven't heard any updates regarding the injury yet the yet within that overall statement does give me a little bit of you know hesitation we're going to hope that Kenneth Walker is right and we're going to take his word and that he's going to be perfectly fine and he'll start this upcoming week for the Seattle Seahawks taking on the New England Patriots but if in fact we are going to be in a position in which Zack shanet may have to go ahead and play far more or potentially even be the lone you know lead back of the Seattle Seahawks he would have a lot of value especially considering of course Zack shb is coming off of a week in which he scored a touchdown within the receiving game had himself over 10 fantasy points had himself over 10 touches if we're able to combine all of the touches that shanet and Kenneth Walker had in that game and attribute it to One Singular back there is a lot of value to be had in this circumstance this is really just a handcuff protection as our number two with the potential of him being a lone potential starter if in fact Kenneth Walker is doing worse than initially expected now before before I continue to 2024 Weekly Rankings talk about Jalil mlin as our number three I want to remind you guys going into tonight's game between the New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers you can take advantage of the underdog free pick of 0.5 total yards for Aaron Rogers again all rankings for the remainder of the season and ask me unlimited questions there thank you very much for all the support okay so let's get back into talking about the Jaleel McLaughlin running back conversation in regards to julil mlin Jalil really had a lot of opportunity within this game a total of 15 touches 10 on the ground five through the air but only scored 3.3 fantasy points last season in 2023 as a member of the Denver Broncos in games in which he was given 10 or more touches he was averaging 12.68% putting it into perspective obviously this last performance against the Seattle Seahawks wasn't a great one but the volume of opportunity that he was given and the volume of overall snaps that he played in comparison to gavon Williams is Major I mean he played 24 snaps in comparison to gavon Williams 36 I really didn't expect to see Jalil mcglen play at this rate additionally in terms of total opportunities had more than javante Williams 15 compared to javon's 10 a player that is currently rostered in 38% of Yahoo leagues 44% of ESPN leagues honestly is a great PPR up side player especially considering his implied receiving utilization that he's going to have on a consistent weekly basis especially considering that b knck in his first game of his NFL career had 42 passing attempts if they're going to be throwing the ball at this volume for the remainder of the Season expect Julio mlin to be a great value for full PPR formats at the running back position on Tank Bigsby number four we have tank bsby the reason why tank bsby is here is because he had himself a lot of opportunity now even though he didn't play nearly as many snaps as Travis etn Travis etn playing 37 total snaps in comparison to to tank bby's overall 17 that the fact of the matter was that the opportunity share was very much so in favor of tank bsby despite the overall snaps Bigsby total 12 rushing attempts for 73 rushing yards 7.3 fantasy points honestly this is something that we have seen in the past but going forward if this is going to be a normal thing for this backfield tank bsby is not only going to be a handcuff but have Standalone value considering his Effectiveness with those runs but going back to 2023 Week 1 in tank bigsby's rookie season in week one seven rushing attempts and scored a rushing touchdown in my mind it's not out of the realm of possibility that tank bsby will continue a similar workload of somewhere between 8 to 10 attempts per game but that's only in positive game scripts in this game the Jacksonville Jaguars were quite literally winning or tied until the final 4 seconds of the game when the Miami Dolphins made the game-winning field goal otherwise they had a commanding lead and they were trying to run out the clock with their running backs therefore that is why I think bsby saw himself a lot of overall opportunity within this game now going forward this may have earned him more opportunities but I don't believe it's going to impact Travis etn much a player that is currently rostered in 5% of Yahoo and ESPN fantasy leagues a player that again is primarily a handcuff but could have standing alone value if the Jacksonville Jaguars continued to be in game scripts in which they're winning the majority of Alexander Mattison the game Alexander Madison's are number five I think it's pretty short and sweet Alexander Madison out snapped zir white 36 to 23 primarily because of the receiving upside that Alexander Madison presents six targets four receptions 43 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown was able to put up 14.2 fantasy points this Las Vegas Raiders team is going to be in negative game scripts for majority of this upcoming season and going into this upcoming week against the Baltimore Ravens it should be the same therefore we should see a lot of Alexander Madison in comparison to zamir white based on the overall game script that is going to approach now the Jordan Mason final running back that we have is Jordan Mason in this circumstance I want you to pick him up before tonight's game especially if you were a Christian mcaffry manager at this current moment in time it was shocking for me to find this that Yahoo only 38% of leaks roster Jordan Mason and on ESPN fantasy only 24% of leaks this is your insurance policy for your number one overall selection and even if you don't have Christian mcaffry and you have someone on your bench that you're going to plan on dropping anyway you can drop him now pick up Jordan Mason and have the insurance just in case all right let's Brandin Cooks move on to the wide receiver conversation with our number one Brandon Cooks considering Jake Ferguson's injury the implication is that there may be more Target opportunity for someone like Brandon Cooks going forward a player that is currently only rostered in 33% of Yahoo leagues and 30% of ESPN fantasy leagues coming off of a performance of four catches on seven targets for 40 yards and a touchdown 12 and a half fantasy points and a half PPR scoring format he's a wide receiver that ranked as the number 36 overall wide receiver in 2023 fantasy football considering he scored eight touchdowns again with Jake Ferguson gone the Red Zone opportunities for this offense are going to spread out and specifically go in the direction of Brandon Cooks last season amongst all players in the National Football League Jake Ferguson was number five in terms of Red Zone targets now Jake Ferguson is not out for the remainder of the Season he's dealing with an MCL sprain but that may cause him to miss multiple weeks on hand which is only going to increase the potential value of Brandon Cooks for Fantasy purposes number two another Demarcus Robinson player that is going to potentially benefit due to the unfortunate nature of injuries pukan AA of course is dealing with a re-aggravated knee injury something that he sustained during training camp and considering this is back the implication is that in the absence of pukan nakua Demarcus Robinson the next most veteran wide receiver on this team is going to get himself more opportunity he's coming off a performance of seven targets four catches 42 yards and 6.2 fantasy points in last night's contest against the Detroit Lions but when you go back to 2023 from weeks 13 through 17 in those games in those five games in which he played as one of the primary starters of this offense was averaging 13.34% of Yahoo leagues 15% of ESPN fantasy leagues could be of value especially in the absence of Puka nikua Rashid Shaheed Rashid Shahed is our number three the fact of the matter is Rashid Shahed is always going to have the opportunity to make a deep ball into a receiving touchdown and make his weak on One Singular play but my expectation for someone like rashed Shahed currently rostered in 55% of Yahoo leagues 42% of ESPN fantasy leagues is that most likely we're going to be in a situation which he's not going to be given enough targets when Chris olve begins to Garner all the targets he deserves within this offense it is going to take away from Rashid Shahed again like I said earlier it's not out of the you know the realm of possibility that he can make his single fantasy week within a singular play down the field but when you play against the Carolina Panthers and they can't stop a soul in comparison to this upcoming week when you take on the Dallas Cowboys there's a huge difference between those two now Rashid Shahid is always going to have the value of the potential of a kickoff or pun for return considering he is the return specialist for this team but again with not a major volume of opportunity going in his Direction every single week he really does become a risky play especially esally if he's not scoring touchdowns our number four is Wanda Robinson a Wan'Dale Robinson player that got himself a lot of opportunity an elite level of opportunity 12 total targets six receptions 44 yards currently only rostered in 10% of Yahoo leagues 7% of ESPN fantasy leagues coming off of an 8.8 Fantasy Point performance now last season within this offense in games in which he was given eight or more opportunities was averaging 13.87% games and because of this they're going to be throwing for the entirety of their contest therefore we're anticipating that wand Robinson is going to maintain his starting role within this offense and Garner a lot of opportunity from Daniel Jones which again Daniel Jones needs to still get the ball out of his hands quickly considering this offensive line not the greatest still regardless of all of the improvements that they quote unquote made this offseason the expectation is that Randa Robinson with this kind of level of opportunity continuing in his direction is going to be certainly of value for Fantasy purposes number 15 is Xavier Legette the Xavier Legette rookie wide receiver that is a first round pick and based on the history of fantasy football success over the course of the last five years we have found that if a rookie wide receiver that is a firstr selection is able to stay healthy for a full 15 games they're going to be ranked within the top 36 wide receivers by the end of the season now in the case of zavier Legette this Panthers team is just bad and they may honestly be looking in the direction of just giving their younger players more opportunities and building experience and building a rapport with Bryce young going forward I mean amongst all wide receivers he led the team in terms of total targets seven targets four receptions 35 re giving Yards player that's rostered in 29% of ESPN leagues 16% of Yahoo leagues honestly considering they're going to be in negative game scripts the entire year zavier lagette could be of value especially considering he is a first- round wide receiver and the potential that those players have going into year one the final wide receiver I wanted to Greg Dortch mention is Greg dorch in the past Greg dorch has been of value but we weren't expecting him to find this much value early on because again there was an absence of targets for Marvin Harrison Jr so don't be surprised if Greg Pugo is disappearing in the future but coming off of a week in which he had six receptions 47 yards on eight targets player that's only rostered in what less than 5% of Yahoo and ESPN fantasy leagues playing 73% from the slot position if they're going to be throwing for majority of games he's going to have value now the final couple players I WR Honorable Mentions wanted to mention in regards to honorable mentions are Josh Reynolds and Devon V both these players members of the Denver Broncos had themselves eight targets within this matchup if that Denver Broncos team is going to continue to throw the ball at that kind of a rate they're certainly going to have value let's move on to tight ends and Isaiah Likely quarterbacks let's talk about our number one tight end and potentially the most valuable player within this overall waiver wire period it's isaa likely currently rostered in 28% of Yahoo leagues 10% of ESPN fantasy leagues obviously coming off of a huge performance of 111 receiving yards a receiving touchdown was one shoe size smaller from scoring a second touchdown within that game and forcing overtime within that contest played less overall offensive snaps than Mark Andrews ran less routes than Mark Andrews yet was able to Garner 12 targets which really led him to the promis land considering his efficiency after the catch if the Baltimore Ravens are going to continue to utilize Isaiah likely within a primary receiving role within this offense the expectation is that both Mark Andrew and Isaiah likeley can coexist and find Value we have seen it in the past I've mentioned this in the recent live streams that we've conducted over the last couple days the Philadelphia Eagles were able to support two top 10 fantasy tight ends and a half PPR scoring format that being Zack ZZ and Dallas Goddard the only difference is that offense targeted their tight ends 200 times in the given year here so in order for Isaiah likeley and Mark hes to coexist both of them are going to need to score touchdowns and both of them are going to need to see an equal opportunity share within an offense that of course is going to have to Target their tight ends somewhere between 190 to 200 times they're going to have to lead the league in tight end targets which isn't out of the realm of possibility especially considering they targeted their tight ends 14 times in week one against a very difficult matchup in a match up in which Mark Andrews was bracketed for majority of the game so as we continue for the remainder of the Season we're not going to see Isaiah likely's Target numbers continue at this rate if they do then obviously Mark Andrew has washed away but I'm anticipating his numbers to scale downward if we remember last season weeks 14- 21 in the absence of Mark Andrews in those games Isaiah likele from weeks 14 through 21 averaging four targets three receptions 47 receiving yards nearly a touchdown per game and 11.39% both these guys are going to be relevant both Isaiah likeley and Mark Andrews that's not out of the realm of possibility going forward in regards to the potential Fab that you spend on Isaiah likeley it's very much so dependent on whether or not you own Mark Andrews if you are a Mark Andrews manager you may want to spend up more if you do not have Mark Andrews and perhaps you lost David and joku and or Jake Ferguson you may have to spend far more considering I'm thinking somewhere between 15 to 20% but if the mark Andre's manager is going to go and put up a 35 or 40% it's ultimately going to be very difficult to be able to get this guy on your roster considering he is the most valuable kind of waiver option going into week two now when we talk Colby Parkinson about Kobe Parkinson another option you may have to go after considering the cost of Isaiah likely based on Fab may be too expensive Kobe Parkinson based on the fact that pukaa of course is re-aggravated his knee injury and is going to potentially miss some time that implies that there's going to be opportunity for Kobe Parkinson the current starting tight end for this team in the absence of Tyler higgy who of course tore his ACL last season Kobe Parkinson had himself a solid game for four receptions 47 receiving yards in comparison to the rest of the tight end position that's actually a solid week based on what we you know were given in week one based on all of the overall contributions now the final Titan I Luke Schoonmaker wanted to mention is Luke schacher as it currently stands with Jake Ferguson dealing with the injury the implication is that this former second round pick in the 2023 NFL draft is going to be the next man up over the course of the last five seasons we have seen the Dallas Cowboys regardless of who their tight end is Elevate them to another level we're talking about Jason Whit 2019 finishing as tight end number 12 Schultz in 2020 2021 and 2022 finishes tight end 14 3 and 10 and most recently in 2023 Jake Ferguson finishing as the number eight overall tight end Luke schacher in the absence of Jake Ferguson should be a value when we move on to the quarterback Baker Mayfield conversation I look at Baker Mayfield I didn't even know he had a beard like that I actually had no clue until I was putting together these Graphics uh that's ridiculous anyway Baker Mayfield's coming off of an incredible week the reason why I want to suggest him besides the fact that he's coming off of a game in which he had an 80% passing completion percentage nearly 300 passing yards four passing touchdowns is because of his upcoming matchups week two against the Detroit Lions if you are missing Jordan love again back in the 2023 NFL playoffs Detroit versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in that game Baker Mayfield 349 passing yards three passing touchdowns the week after in week three the Tampa Buccaneers take on Denver then the week after Philadelphia the week after Atlanta these are advantageous matchups in the favor of Baker Mayfield Geno Smith when we talk about Gino Smith he's in a very similar situation had himself a great game 72% passing completion percentage two touchdowns a huge you know run for a rushing touchdown Which really did make his overall week 32% rostered on Yahoo 15% rostered on ESPN if you are in the absence of Jordan love and don't have an opportunity of picking up Baker Mayfield you can start goino Smith for the next couple weeks based on matchups New England Miami Detroit and the New York Giants the final Justin Fields quarterback I wanted to mention is Justin field under the assumption of course that Russell Wilson is going to miss an extended period of time which will allow just fields to maintain the starting quarterback role even though he wasn't great in terms of touchdown scoring because he didn't score a single one this entire offense didn't they were six for six in terms of field goals 17 of 23 passing is great 14 rushing attempts for 57 rushing yards is even better that's only going to continue to build as he builds a report within this offense the upcoming matchups Denver Los Angeles Chargers Indianapolis Colts those are advantageous ones in my perspective for a quarterback like Justin Fields now let's move on to special teams and defenses let's talk Kickers about Cairo Santos Cameron Dicker and Chris Boswell it's pretty simple all three of these kickers had incredible games like I mentioned earlier Chris Boswell was six for six in week one against the Atlanta Falcons now has an opportunity of taking on the Denver Broncos we have Cameron Dicker who takes on the Carolina Panthers this upcoming weeks there should be a high volume of potential points scored and especially if in fact the Los Angeles Chargers stall within the red zone or in the Carolina Panthers territory there will be a lot of field goals made of course one of the better kickers in fantasy football late last season now when we're talking about great kickers from 2023 kairo Santos is implicated within that conversation he was the number three overall kicker in Fantasy last year coming off of a week get 13 fantasy points again all three of these guys putting up double digit fantasy points we're trusting them going forward once again now when we talk about Team Defense potential defensive plays going into this week for potential streaming options if in fact the Seattle Seahawks were already picked up you don't have an opportunity of picking them up that's fine they do take on the New England Patriots that is an advantageous matchup if in fact the Chargers are available which they should be coming off a performance of 14 fantasy points against the Las Vegas Raiders as a defense should be able to pick apart Bryce young who did not look great the first passing attempt for Bryce young was an interception in week one the final defense I wanted to mention is the Indianapolis Colts in regards to a potential pickup and play if in fact the Green Bay Packers are not going to have Jordan love and Malik Willis is going to be the starting quarterback which is the anticipation this makes the Indianapolis Colts defense a fantastic play going into the given week the only other honorable mentions that I do have is the Houston Texans defense at home taking on the Chicago Bears offense which again could be a great play and the Philadelphia Eagles defense taking on the Atlanta Falcons Kurt Cousins and the boys did not look great considering the offensive line did not give him time to sit comfortably in the pocket that's going to cover it I want to thank you all for watching again I'll be back later tonight after the Monday Night Football game if you enjoyed today's content click the like button down below I'll be back tomorrow with my top 40 running back rankings for week 2 and until next time thank you everybody for watching and I'll see you guys peace [Music]
