THERE'S A WHOLE PACK. THE LINE SO MUCH STUDENTS CHECK IN WITH THIS NEW PROCESS. LOOKING GOOD. IT IS WORKING THAT I HAVE TO ASK. DID YOU OR YOUR GREEN FOR US IS EVERY TIME LOVE THAT. WE KNOW YOU'RE A PROUD ALUM AND WE ALWAYS LOVE SEEING YOU BUT GOT AN EXCITING TIME. WE >> REALLY WANTED TO IMPLEMENT A PROCESS WHERE IT'S VERY, VERY FEW STRESSFUL MOMENTS. IT'S AN EMOTIONAL TIME, RIGHT? IT'S BITTERSWEET. IT'S HAPPY. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, YOU KNOW, YOU'RE DEPARTING FROM OHANA TO AS YOU DROP YOUR STUDENT OFF. BUT WE HAVE FAMILIES INSTEAD OF WAITING IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC. THEY PARK IN THE STRUCTURE. THE JOIN US HERE AT STAN SHERIFF. AND IT'S KIND OF LIKE A WELCOMING AN ORIENTATION. YOU GET TO MEET OTHER STUDENTS. WE HAVE SELFIE CENTER. YOU KNOW, IT'S IT'S ALL FUN. BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU KNOW, THE CAMPUS IS REALLY WORKING TOWARDS ELEVATING THE STUDENT OVER THE SUMMER. WE WERE VERY BUSY. MANY OF OUR STUDENT HOUSING UNITS GOT MAJOR RENOVATIONS OR UPGRADES. YOU KNOW EVERYTHING FROM SWITCHING OUT BED MATTRESS IS TOO AC UNITS. UPGRADING WI-FI, TOWERS WHERE MORE THAN 1000 FRESHMAN WILL CALLING HOME THIS THAT WENT THROUGH SIGNIFICANT MODERNIZATION. SO OUR LOBBIES ARE ON CENTER AREAS. THEY'RE ALL EQUIPPED WITH NEW FURNITURE, MORE BIG SCREEN, TV'S LIGHTING FIXTURES AND ALL OF THAT. AND SO AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE JUST WANTED TO ENCOURAGE MORE FACE-TO-FACE INTERACTION. CAMPUS LIFE, OF COURSE, IS IT'S IMPORTANT NOT JUST ABOUT STUDYING, BUT ALSO MEETING NEW FRIENDS MAKING MORE LIFETIME MEMORIES. YES, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT. I THINK THIS WHOLE NEW PROCESS REALLY AT REALLY EXEMPLIFIES OUT BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN SEEING STRESSED FAMILIES. YOU CAN SEE THE PARENTS OF BEHIND HIM BE ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES. SMILE REALLY SAY GOODBYE IN THE RIGHT WAY TO THEIR STUDENTS AS KIDS AS THEY GO AND MOVE IN. SO A LOT GOING ON. BUT ALSO THIS IS JUST THE SECOND DAY WHAT'S GOING ON THROUGHOUT THE WEEK? >> THROUGHOUT THE WEEK, YOU KNOW, KIDS ARE JUST GETTING COMFORTABLE WITH THEIR NEW SPACE. WE ACTUALLY TONIGHT ARE EXCITED TO HAVE WHAT WE CALL OUR PARENTS 10 OR SO THE MOCK WELL, WE GET TO, YOU KNOW, JUST TALK STORY WITH THEM. MANY OF THEM HAVE TRAVELED FROM AFAR FROM NEIGHBOR ISLANDS, EVEN FROM YOUR ACROSS OAHU. AND SO WE JUST WANT TO WELCOME THEM AS WELL AS MAKING THEM FEEL LIKE, YOU KNOW, THIS IS WHERE WE WANT TO ESTABLISH A HOME AWAY FROM HOME AND SET UP THEIR STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS AS WE FALL INTO THE UPCOMING SEMESTER. YEAH, A LOT. YEAH. THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS COMING IN THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE WEEK. SO LOTS OF TRAFFIC, BUT A LOT OF THAT MITIGATE ALREADY. BUT ALSO BIG GAME HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND. WHAT ARE SOME TIPS FOR PEOPLE THAT FOR PARKING COMING IN ATTENDING THIS AS BIG HUGE GAME HAS ALWAYS PREPARE EARLY. EXPECT DELAYS WILL HAVE HPD ON HAND, HELPING TO DIRECT TRAFFIC. BUT REALLY IT'S ALL ABOUT CELEBRATING, YOU KNOW, THE WOULD WE ALL LOVE AND AS WE SAID, YOU KNOW, YOU'RE A PROUD ALUM.
