Introduction yesterday I showed you exactly how I would build the best team if I was drafting on ESPN now I'm going to do it for Yahoo and just like in that video I'm going to show you how I would build a team if I had an early pick a middle pick or a late pick and the team I would have at the end of the draft I'm going to go round by round and give you the exact pick I would make in each spot about Yahoo let's build the best team on Yahoo fantasy football and just Build The Best YAHOO Team From An Early Draft Slot like on ESPN I'm going to start this draft with Tyreek Hill at pick number two talked about him in that video yesterday but if you haven't seen it yet Tyreek Hill last year was absolutely smashing even Christian mcaffrey on a points per game basis prior to his week 14 ankle injury I'm going to pass on mcaffry here in CD lamb and just take Tyreek Hill and call it a day then at Round number two I'm going to take the value on Drake London at pick 21 again this is a guy that goes early second in a lot of drafts so if I can get him towards the end of the second round willing to gamble on Drake London having a breakout year this year with Kurt Cousins with this new coaching staff Drake London has all the talent it should happen this year I'll take him at the end of round two and then early in round three once again I'm going to take Devon Anan at pick 25 as my rb1 this is where I feel comfortable with hn every week that he is healthy he could win your week for you so in the third round at pick 25 willing to gamble on him especially because in round four at pick 44 I can get Kenneth Walker another guy I think has League winning potential at running back back we're hearing talk from this new staff new offensive coordinator they want to use this guy in the passing game as a receiver that is what has always held him back in fantasy if he's getting that receiving game work he could absolutely Smash in fantasy this year so getting aan and Walker back to back is a reason why I can just take Tyreek Hill with my first pick and not worry about it now in round five back to wide receiver tank Dell at pick 51 love the upside is this guy as my wide receiver three potentially your Flex depending on your league settings here even with Stefon digs even with Nico Collins this guy is going to have some monster weeks he's still going to be great he's looks fully healthy in the preseason nothing to worry about here so tank Dell pick 51 as my wide receiver three in a heartbeat then I'm going to go back to running back in round six pick 70 I'm going to take zamir white another guy I think could be a true rb1 this year he's going to be the Workhorse in this Raiders offense he's got that explosive ability he caught more passes than I think people realize no he's not going to be one of the leaders in receptions among running backs but he'll catch enough in this Raiders offense as our rb3 feels great to me now in round seven pick 75 let's grab our tight end Kyle pittz I know it's scary to take Kyle pittz but you got to take the gamble here just like we did with Drake London because this Falcons offense should be much better they have a real quarterback they have a real offensive coordinator sorry evil Arthur Smith Pitts is still extremely young extremely talented no reason to think he can't break out this year so let's gamble on pits at pick 75 and then round eight at pick 95 let's gamble on our QB let's take rookie Caleb Williams he has looked like like that guy so far in the preseason weapons all around him DJ Moore Keenan Allen Romo dun Swift Out of the backfield Cole KT one of the best offensive lines no reason Caleb Williams shouldn't succeed and potentially be this year's CJ Stout now in round nine at pick 99 we're going with rookie wide receiver Xavier worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs another guy that's going to have incredible weekly upside this guy is an absolute burner he's going to hit so many home runs so many long touchdowns with Patrick Mahomes getting him this late feels like a discount especially because Hollywood Brown likely going to miss at least two three maybe four weeks to start the season so we could legit have one of the best wide receivers to start the season and we're getting them at pick 99 then in round 10 at pick 124 let's go with another rookie wide receiver that's Keon Coleman of the bills he's actually going last of all the Bills wide receivers on Yahoo so let's go ahead and take him let's gamble on the fact that they drafted this guy for a reason and they want him to be that Diggs replacement will he be maybe maybe not but in round 10 it's worth it gamble in round 11 let's get one more running back Rico D at pick 127 he could be the lead back for the Dallas Cowboys one of the best offenses he's a good pass catcher he's a decent running back nothing special but this late to shore up our running back depth it makes a lot of sense and then finally round 12 pick 38 let's get one more upside wide receiver that's davien Wicks of the Green Bay Packers talked about this guy all offseason I think he could really have a year two breakout in this Packers offense sure he's going to be volatile because there's a lot of mouses defeat here but he's got that upside you're looking for with your last pick so that makes our team on Yahoo with an early pick Caleb Williams at quarterback Devon Anan Kenneth Walker zamir white and Rico dle at running back you got to feel good about that running back room four potential starting running backs in your running back room then we got Tyreek Hill Drake London tank Dell Xavier worthy Keon Coleman davien Wicks at wide receiver it's a little risky but it's also oozing with upside here if one or two of those rookies hits this wide receiver room is going to be stacked and then we got Kyle pittz at tight end hoping for that pitch breakout now let's take a look if you have a pick in the Build The Best YAHOO Team From A Middle Draft Slot middle and once again in round one I'm going to start with a Monro St Brown going at pick number eight I've talked about it all off season I really think this guy has a chance to be the wide receiver one this year so let's grab him at pick eight in round two at pick 17 let's grab a running back kyen Williams typically will fall to you here in drafts if he does I think you got to grab him he's still going to be the Workhorse running back for the Rams one of the fantasy friendliest offenses for a running back no reason to fade Kyon Williams at pick 17 in round three at pick 34 I've called a League winner DK meaf wide receiver for the Seahawks I think this Seahawks offense is going to be drastically different the way they're going to use DK meaf is going to be drastically different and both those things are going to contribute to DK meaf potentially having his best season ever in round four I pick 43 another upside wide receiver Amari Cooper of the Cleveland Browns I know there's some worry about Deshawn Watson but I'm not worried you know why cu the backup is jamus Winston either way it's going to be good for Amari Cooper I might even prefer jamus Winston honestly just out there slinging it to Amari Cooper but either way as our wide receiver three in round four he gives us the upside we're looking for as does George pickings in round five at pick 55 as our wide receiver four or Flex weekly boom potential weekly upside potential whether it's Russ whether it's field it's better than Kenny picket no doubt about it pickin's the only guy in town at wide receiver could explode this year happily will'll take him in round five now on round six at pick 68 let's grab an elite tight end because somehow this is where Dalton concade falls on y who drafts this guy has the potential to be the overall tops scoring tight end and we're getting him in round six Nob brainer pick here grab King Kade and move on in round seven at pick 80 we've waited on our rb2 but I'll happily take javante Williams as my rb2 another guy I've called a League winner he's going to be the clear warh course running back in Denver Shawn pyton offenses Target the running back relentlessly this guy could be one of the leaders in receptions even if he's not racking up a ton of yards a ton of touchdowns his pass catching alone will make him a high upside rb2 and then one more high up side wide receiver in round eight at pick 92 that I can't pass on Christian Watson this is too much of a value here I know he's burned US every year the injury history I get all that but if he's healthy the upside is through the roof and so far we haven't heard anything about him you know being banged up in Camp that's a positive sign how long will it last I don't know but at pick 92 it's worth it all right we only have two running backs so in round nine it pick 108 let's grab our third that's gusb of the Los Angeles Chargers I really think this guy is going to be the lead back for for the Chargers I think he has double digit touchdown upside in this offense behind this offensive line so getting him as our rb3 in round nine feels pretty good and now that we have three potentially starting running backs we can grab a handcuff in round 10 at pick 120 and that is Blake corm we got kyen Williams let's back him up with Blake corm if anything happens to Kiren Blake corm could truly be a League winner so it's nice having both these guys on our team all right as we head into round 11 we have punted quarterback but at pick 129 let's grab Kurt Cousins talked about this Atlanta offense it's going to be much better Kurt Cousins one of those QBs that nobody ever seems to want to draft but he's always great in fantasy he puts up yards puts up touchdowns he's got weapons he's in a good offense if I'm punting QB I'm fine with Kurt Cousins in round 11 and then finally in round 12 at pick 132 let's get one more running back one more potentially starting running back and that is chuba hubard of the Carolina Panthers look Jonathan Brook's not back until at least week three maybe week four maybe even later we don't know and then when he comes back he's going to be eased in this is more than likely going to be chuba's job to start the season so getting a starting running back with our last pick especially for a team that kind of ignored rb2 for a while feels good so that makes our final team from the middle spot ktk cousins at quarterback Kyon Williams javante Williams Gus Edwards Blake corm and chuba hubard at running back solid there at running back for sure and then am mon rosain Brown DK meaf Amari Cooper George Pickins Christian Watson at wide receiver I mean upside across the board here absolutely love it and then we got an elite tight end in Dalton Best YAHOO Team From A Late Draft Slot if you get a pick late don't worry I actually love this spot and let's start with AJ Brown at Pick n at wide receiver I'm coming around on AJ Brown potentially being a league winning wide receiver this year in this Eagles offense Jaylen Herz has looked phenomenal this off SE season I love the way they're going to run this offense with more pre- snap motion moving AJ Brown around so take him at pick nine as your wide receiver one especially because you can get jir Gibbs running back at pick 15 on the way back as your rb1 no worries here about the hamstring going to be totally fine for week one he missed two games with the hamstring last year came back was totally fine no reason to worry about him this guy has overall rb1 upside and we're getting him in round two back to wide receiver in round three taking Jaylen waddle at pick 35 another guy I have called a potential League winner I think he's going to bounce back in a big way this year have a huge season him and Tyreek Hill getting all the Targets in this Dolphins offense he's healthy happily will'll take him in the third and then when it comes back to us in round four let's take another wide receiver I love this year and that is Devonte Smith at pick 37 I know we already have AJ brown but that's fine with me I'm fine with having both these guys on our fantasy team especially when dvon Smith is our wide receiver three it's okay to have a little volatility in your wide receiver three slot but I think D Smith and AJ Brown are going to eat this year so I'll take both then round five at pick 58 let's take the Ravens number one wide receiver Z flowers for some reason being slept on a little bit this year but he had a great end of the season last year I think he only takes another step forward in year two and does even better get him in round five feels like a nice discount now on round six we've waited on our rb2 but it's okay cuz at picked 63 we can grab James Connor he's going to be the war course running back for Arizona which is going to be one of the better offenses this year for sure we know he's a good pass catcher he's got touchdown upside he's been great in this Arizona offense so far no reason to think that changes this year let's take Connor as our rb2 at pick 63 and then let's follow that up in round seven at pick 82 with Brian Robinson Jr clearly the number one back for the commanders catches more passes than people think he's an underrated pass catcher he's got decent touchdown upside in this offense this offense is going to run one of the fastest Paces in the NFL which means more snaps more touches they got an upgrade at quarterback yeah there's some worry about the offensive line but I I think he's a good enough player to overcome it and he'll get the volume in round seven take him as our rb3 then at round eight at pick 86 another upside running back that's Tai Spears of the Tennessee Titans yeah I know he's in a split with Tony per but I like Spears a little bit more I think he has a little bit more juice a little better in the passing game so as our rb4 now loving this now on round nine at pick 107 let's gamble on another upside wide receiver Jameson Williams potential year three breakout here which if he does anything it would really be a breakout to be honest but love the way Dan Campbell's been talking him up love the way the Lions been talking him up I think we finally see Jameson Williams come close to his potential so we're getting him in round nine we're taking that now we punted QB but it's okay cuz in round 10 at pick 111 we can get twoa with this pick plus we get to stack him with Jaylen Wadd not a bad thing look Tua led the league in passing yards last year didn't have a ton of touchdowns but that could definitely change this year in one of the best offenses in the NFL getting him as our qb1 this late feels great now as we go into round 11 we did punt tight end there's not a lot of love in this range I'll be honest but let's take Dalton Schultz pick 130 tight end for the Houston Texans he's going to be volatile sure because he's you know playing with Nico Collins tank Dell Stefon Diggs but I still like Schultz I still think he'll be a red zone threat so considering we punted tight end getting Schultz isn't that bad and then with our final pick in round 12 at pick 136 let's gamble on Josh DS people have forgotten all about this guy cuz he got injured early in training camp but he was getting rave reviews before that injury I still think he's going to have a great great season yeah he's going to start the season a little slow maybe even miss a game or two but he's our last pick it's okay as long as he comes on at some point relatively early we're going to be very happy with this pick so that makes our Yahoo team with a late pick Tua at quarterback fine with that jir Gibbs James Connor Brian Robinson Tai J Spears at running back three absolute workhorses plus another upside 50/50 guy then a wide receiver we got AJ Brown Jaylen Wadd Devon Smith Z flowers Jameson Williams upside upside more up side can't ask for anything more we did punt tight end with Dalton Schultz not my favorite but worst case you can drop them and stream but I would still be more than happy with this team on my Yahoo league so there you go that's how you do it on Yahoo that's
