The BEST VALUE Pick in Every Round of Your Fantasy Draft

Intro what's going on man welcome back to the basem omon and your league mates are going to show up to your fantasy draft unprepared and draft straight off the default rankings on your site not off of ADP but off of things like the X rank on Yahoo which is just some random experts rankings out there that are now plaster to the site and what happens is is that these are very easy to exploit and they're incredibly soft So today we're going to leverage the default rankings on Yahoo sleeper and ESPN and compare them to high stakes fantasy football leagues where hundreds of dollars are being played every single draft and we can then cross reference them and find the best value in every single round of your home League fantasy draft so if you enjoyed today's video make sure down below subscribe leave a like let's [Music] go and for this video the ADP we're Using High Stakes ADP vs Default Rankings going to use from high stakes is from The rotal Wire online championship this is a $350 contest redraft managed League there's waivers but no trades and it's over on the NFC which is just a high stakes platform and it's a three wide receiver One Flex full PPR format and to me this looks like what a Sharp home League should look like right we have Devonte Adams in the second round Aman R st Brown Justin Jefferson AJ Brown is first round picks across the board to me it passes the sniff test right Derrick Henry in the second round metf in the third Josh Allen at the 34 turn this is about what a home League should look like if everybody knows what they're doing but in your home League not everybody knows what they're doing and the most popular home leagues I found when I asked you guys was sleeper ESPN and Yahoo now this took a while I'm just going to be straight up because there is a cool tool over on 4 for four where they have the ADP from ESPN Yahoo sleeper but again it's the X ranks that is the default in each platform not 80 so what I had to do is join a couple mock drafts take screenshots of the rankings there put them into an Excel sheet right we have this ESPN one as well where they update this every few days their top 300 cheat sheet that's the one where if you do any Draft on ESPN these rankings are the presets we put it all together into one Google sheet where we now have our NFC ADP which is high stakes this is the fourth round by the way of consensus drafts our consensus ranking here right 37 from leak neighbors is the average of ESPN sleeper and Yahoo's default rankings we used ESPN's PPR but I think that they use the same for half uh yaho has the same for half and PPR and then we used sleepers half PPR ranking so now we have a really cool kind of like Matrix master cheat sheet here of high stakes ADP right the NFC ADP and then we have the consensus ESPN sleeper and Yahoo and then we have the value right where we see the difference between NFC and the average of all three versus ESPN sleeper and Yahoo individually right so when we look at Malik neighbors here he is going on average between ESPN sleeper and yahu at pick 37 in high stakes he's going at pick 25 making this about an 11.6 pick value on ESPN only 1.6 because they've actually caught up on Malik Neighbors on sleeper 39 so that's a 13.6 point value and then Yahoo 45 making it a 19.6 pick value which is pretty crazy so now we can then apply these round by round and find the best values across every home League platform now this sheet here I was debating putting it behind the pay wall and putting it on the patreon but I'm not going to all right this will be for now with that being said let's talk about the first round and first up here you're not going 1st Round to find any huge values early on in your draft it's just not how it's going to happen but beon stuck out a little bit here as somebody that's probably going a little bit too late not on ESPN but on sleeper and Yahoo's going at the 104 in high stakes but he's the consensus 105 which doesn't sound that big of a deal but the way that I see first rounds of Home leagues right now is three tiers right mcaffrey lamb Tyreek Bree beon tier break to chase Jefferson Aman rosin Brown tier break to AJ Brown JT Wilson and Gibbs and if bejon is going on these platforms like sleeper and Yahoo at the 106 then a pick in the past that I felt like man the 106 sucks because I'm just getting the top of a tier if Bean's going to fall to that 106 spot that is a massive value and even on sleeper this is their full PPR pre-draft rankings here which is why I didn't use their full PPR cuz I thought that they were a little bit out of whack Bon's the 108 on there so if bishon falls to the five six seven eight spot he is a smash pick in the first round this is somebody who now has no Arthur Smith revamped offense with Zack Robinson and Kirk Cousins this could be the crazy breakout season for bejon Robinson legendary upside the whole nine so if you can get him at the 105 6 7 8 uh that is massive massive value now I will say for this video we're not going to go too into depth on each player it's 2nd Round really more who's the biggest value uh and for this second round we have Devon Anan he's barely a second rounder he's really more of a a third rounder right his consensus ranking at 28.7 is about the 21231 when I put them all together I will say to the pick at the end what I did is I just sorted by consensus and I just made okay 101 102 103 so we can kind of see you know the consensus pick in a given draft hen just barely misses it but he is a second round pick on sleeper he's a second round pick on yahu but he's like a late third or no he's like a fourth round pick on ESPN which is just Bonkers but in any given League that's not ESPN I'm very much fine taking Devon hen in the second especially because we know in those leagues it's going to be so RB hungry that Pacho etn Kiren they're not making it to the third round so if you need to take a running back hn in the second is very much fine to me and then you also have to understand the opportunity cost at play where when we look at the third and fourth rounds there's nothing but wide receiver value right Nico Collins Debo Samuel Michael Pitman I have all the receivers highlighted in green here DJ Moore DK Mecha Malik neighbors like all of these guys have green values in the consensus columns and then almost across the board as well so we know we can get a niik Collins in round three adbo in round three DJ Moore in round three Wadd in round four when we know that that's coming I'm fine taking Devon Anan anywhere in the second this is somebody who is one of the craziest efficiency rookies we've ever seen uh I have a stat here he is one of just seven rookie running backs since 2009 toit three or better FPE per game since 2009 as a rookie and FPE per game is Just fantasy points ere expected per game that's just your efficiency over your expected volume so expected points per game is just how many carries you had targets Red Zone attempts and he out produces expected output by 6.7 PPR points that is the highest on the entire list even higher than Alvin Kamar and every rookie running back to hit three plus has then gone on to hit 20 plus points per game in their second year we are all over Devon aan to put it lightly then in the third round our best value here is Nico 3rd Round Collins he just barely misses the second round of high stakes leagues right his NFC ADP is 24.6 that's like right there that's just barely not a third round pick or not a barely not a second round pick and with Nico Collins he to me is one of my favorite picks I will say in the third round you're not getting like crazy crazy values here but you're getting him in the late third on sleeper ESPN is actually priced pretty well uh in Yahoo you're getting him in the mid third so you're getting a guy who's in my rank is as a midc in high stakes he's like a late second really really early third and you're going to get him in the middle of the third as a stud receiver he was the wide receiver seven in points per game last year and now he gets CJ St in his second year I know that the room is a little bit more crowded but we're talking about a guy who again was the wide receiver seven in points per game strout had just like 23 touchdowns if strout comes out comes out here and balls for like 35 plus touchdowns 4,000 plus yards Nico Collins is going to absolutely eat up like I would prefer Nico a wide receiver one in a crowded offense but a really good offense over Calvin Ridley the wide receiver one in a high volume but low efficiency offense or you know like a Deontay Johnson and with niik Collins we know that he's a good player he joined this list of wide receivers to run 300 or more routes and average three or more yards per out run and he was the youngest player to ever hit a season like this according to Jacob Gibbs over the last 10 seasons it is a list with Brandon auk Julio Jones Cooper cup Tyreek Hill that's the kind of rare air Nico Collins was in last year then we have round four where I'm 4th Round actually going to start using a couple of players here I listed Malik neighbors and Jaylen Wadd now I will say do not be greedy with Malik neighbors I know that he is very much the poster boy right now for like oh my God he's going to go so late in your home leagues they're wising it up this ESPN ranking I was Flor they have on ESPN they have him as their 27th ranked player in high States he's 25th so he's going in the early third on ESPN meaning that the value is all gone I will say sleeper and Yahoo have not caught up yet right sleeper has him at 39th yaho at 45th but there's so much Buzz out out of training camp and there's so much just buzz around Malik Neighbors in general I wouldn't get cute and try and you know push him to the fourth round and see if I can get him to fall to that pick 39 or pick 45 I think if you want him you're going to to take him at the three four turn uh you know probably around like pick 36 35 in those leagues but he's a good pick I know that we were fading him early on but I'm coming around in the idea of him especially in the late third I think here like that ESPN price is pretty brutal to me I wouldn't take him in the 27th pick but in the late third I'm fine with it because he is very similar to your Chris olve uh Drake London or not Drake London I actually put Chris olve and like Devonte Adams as like Target Hogs and bad offenses we know Le neighbors is going to be the focal point of this Giants offense but if they suck then it's going to be very frustrating but you can again say that about Devonte and aave guys who go earlier than him and then we'll also talk about Jaylen waddle who's just a massive value across the board right consensus 38th pick high stakes he's the 23rd pick so he's actually like a second round pick on high stakes that's crazy a guy who's pretty much almost a fourth round pick across the board or he is a consensus fourth round pick if I can get Jaylen WD in the fourth that is massive I know that he had a tough year last year but he did leave a lot of games early he is also somebody that we've seen before hit 15 points per game next to Tyreek Hill and last year on a proute basis he absolutely crushed man 90 plus PFF receiving grade seventh in first downs per out run sixth in targets per out run seventh in yards per out run he was just an absolute monster and then you also have the upside that this defense isn't going to be very good right they lose Christian Wilkins they get Jaylen Phillips and chub they're hurt there could be shootouts here and Jaylen Wadd could be a very big beneficiary from that next we have the 5th Round fifth round tier and we're going to have two players again I have Amari Cooper and T Higgins in the fifth Amari Cooper is a crazy value on ESPN and sleeper here where he is a you know mid fourth on high stakes he is a late fifth on ESPN and sleeper as a really good value and he's just always pretty damn good like I'm sort of coming around to Amari Cooper as someone that's just going to finish and flirt with like top 15 Point per game numbers and in the fifth round you could do a lot worse than that and if you want to have the bull case here in the nine games that he played Without PJ Walker or Dorian Thompson Robinson throwing over 20 passes he averaged 19.9 points per game which would have been good for the wide receiver six in points per game last year I'm not saying he's going to be the wide receiver six in points per game but he was really really good last year and I don't really anticipate that falling off we'll see if DeShaun Watson can bounce back but in the fifth round to me he is great now our next player here is T Higgins crazy value somebody that actually just mooved up in my rankings and I made him a must draft like I put him as a Target in the rankings which you can find over on is somebody that actually moved up again and then I put him as a must draft player actually like put him in green as a Target because because I kind of just came to the realization that remember last year in like the two3 turn he was right next to Devonte Smith Jaylen waddle Chris olve and all of them did poorly but now olve is a second Devonte Smith is a fourth Jaylen wad is a fourth and now T Higgins is the cheapest one even though his career high of 15.7 points per game is the highest on the entire list there so to me I think that it's just people are very upset I guess or I guess like a sour taste in their mouth over T Higgins busting last year and being hurt for most of the year but if he's back and healthy and he's playing with Joe burrow he's going to be a guy who's going to fight for top 15 Point per game numbers and be a similar value to those guys like Devonte Smith and Jaylen Wadd you can just get him one to two rounds later so T Higgins for me huge value pick then in the sixth round we have Dalton King Kade where if you want to take a tight 6th Round end he's actually a really good value where he's actually kind of seen more in the Kyle Pitts KD tier but in high stakes leagues he's seen more in the trey McBride Mark Andrews tier we can see if we look at the top seven rounds of ADP I put a green square over concade he's in between Mark Andrews and Trey McBride uh a full round ahead of your Kyle Pitts Evan Ingram George KD tier as we can see with cancade going at pick 64.3 by consensus he's seen as like a tier below that I want to say ESPN actually has conc and Kyle pits back to back which is probably wrong just considering the fact that Kade is the number one target attached to Josh Allen and we actually have a really good chart here shout out to Ryan Heath he has an age Cliffs and curve article he puts out every single year on fantasy points he just dropped it and you can see second-year tight ends are kind of a cheat code uh his key takeaway was the sophomore Titan breakout is among the most powerful and reliable laws of fantasy typically they hover around this Baseline for two more years before hitting their Peak seasons in year five and six so we should see a big jump up for concade we saw with Trey bride last year and if that takes place next to Josh Allen he's an absolute smash now you're going to see as well in terms of the values here he's a value on ESPN he's a value on Yahoo sleeper not so much and sleeper is a weird platform where all of the wide receivers are way pushed up here like I brought it up here across the board sleeper terrible values at tight end so like minus 3.9 on sleeper is actually a pretty big value so can's actually good on sleeper I would highlight McBride Kyle pittz and Ferguson as well as guys that they're not a full round more expensive than they are in high stakes leagues like guys like Travis Kelce and George KD who are way priced up on sleeper for whatever reason again sleeper really pushes up those tight ends so if you can get cancade or McBride in like that round five area or if you can get a Kyle Pitts at that 56 turn uh I'm very much for that on sleeper our next round here 7th Round is round seven and we'll highlight Rashi rice and Jaylen Warren somehow Rashi rice I mean we've gotten to this point where there's no word on a 2024 suspension it's a redraft manage league as well right so if he does get suspended you're going to know about it you're going to be able to either make a trade or hit waivers or have your team set up by the time that a suspension comes in you'll be fine his price is absurd all right we've gone to a spot now where suspension doesn't look likely and again if it does you're going to be fine in a managed League he is going in high stakes at the 49.8 pick which is like the 45 turn right that's going to yeah it's like the four that's like the 502 so we're getting him in the seventh round in home leagues 25 picks of value across the board 33.2 on sleeper and if he doesn't get suspended that's a smash he is a year two breakout candidate Hollywood Brown is hurt he is the wide receiver one attached to momes and he looks a lot like Aman Ross Brown's rookie year where his yards PR run was amazing his PFF grade was good his points per game was good uh he hit 18.5 points per game down the stretch and he to me just a massive value in terms of a year two breakout and then I also wanted to mention Jaylen Warren who's only really a value on sleeper here at pick 94 but he's also somebody that's this is just a gut feeling but he's a less popular name that I think a lot of your league mates won't know about and I don't see them taking him you know pick 79 on ESPN he's probably going to be more of like a ninth round guy and at that price I'm all in Arthur Smith is annoying yes but he has had top 10 rushing yard and rushing attempt seasons four of the last Five Seasons that he's been a play caller Jaylen Warren has led all running backs Miss tles Force per attempt over this last season so if he can find a way to force a time share with niji or if niji gets hurt Jaylen Warren is an absolute stud after that we have the eighth round and we're going to 8th Round highlight Christian Watson here who is a what that's going to be like a sixth round pick on high stakes he's an eighth round pick in your home leagues 25 picks of consensus across the board somehow he's outside the top 100 picks on sleeper and to me that's perfect like any concerns you have about Christian Watson it's Health well if you can get him in the eighth round he's likely not in your starting lineup and he can just be a perfect boom bust flex play he reminds me a lot of will Fuller where as a rookie he was the wide receiver eight in points per game from weeks 10 on he also leads all wide receivers since getting drafted with a 50% Endzone Target share when he's on the field so he's this big play guy he scores touchdowns he's attached to Jordan love of course there's a lot of risk here but this is also somebody in just 23 career games already has six games of 20 or more PPR points he is pretty much will Fuller 2.0 and in the eighth round in the home League sign me up that's really all I 9th Round can say then our ninth round players here values we have Jonathan Brooks and Chase Brown uh these are just like two fun zero and hero RB draft targets Jonathan Brooks is going to be a huge value on ESPN and Yahoo and then also just because he tore his ACL in college he's also rookie where if you know the second round pick for the Carolina Panthers you know ball so he might be somebody that really Falls in your home League Draft and he gets a boost as well if you're in a home league with ir spots because he's probably not going to play the first few weeks but the hope is not quite Todd Gurley rookie season because Todd Gurley was a really really damn good running back Prospect but if Jonathan Brooks can be like 80% of Todd Gurley where he misses the first few weeks then he slowly ramps up and then by week 8 9 10 he's startable and then weeks 10 on he's a top 12 running back that's a very much fine use of a ninth round pick in my book especially in a weaker running back room uh we also know that Canalis the coach from the Bucks that are not is now coming to the Carolina Panthers he runs the ball a ton he feeds a Workhorse we saw with Rashad white last year we could very much see Jonathan Brooks in a Rashad white type of role and then we have Chase Brown who is just a value everywhere 20 picks of value by consensus 35 picks of value on sleeper he is now going to pick 85 in our high stakes leagues that's even too high for me but at these prices right like ninth round in your home leagues pick 120 on sleeper I'm very much in on Chase Brown there he has a ton of juice he recorded the fastest miles per hour among all running backs tracked last year even ahead of a guy like Devon Anan he's really exciting that brings a he's a guy who brings a lot of juice to Cincinnati who's going to be a good offense this year and you also have Zach Moss there which I understand but Zach Moss is also never finished as a top 24 running back he's also never hit 1,000 plus rushing yards so Zach Moss could be the lead guy but he could also be what he's been his entire career as just a replacement level back and then we have our round 10 plus targets here that we're just going to sort of rattle off rapid fire uh first you have Jameson Williams which honestly I was pretty shocked by this Round 10 he's going like pick 90 and high stakes you can get 40 picks of value on him on ESPN 20 picks of value on sleeper and he's not super sexy but he's a fine boom bust Flex as well as a guy where the Lions added nothing at wide receiver 2 right they let Josh Reynolds walk they don't sign anybody they don't draft anybody they're fully planning for Jameson Williams to be their wide receiver too and in that offense where they're going to score a lot of points in Dome games and the kind of like electricity that Jameson Williams brings he's really fun uh so in the 10th round he's very much fine for me like he's one of those guys where we talk about in the strategy videos wide receivers through the flex plus one or two he to me in round 10 is like the perfect plus two where he's like the second guy on your bench you don't have to rely on him uh but he's a fun flyer at receiver then you have Jerome Ford who's like about a round of value across the board you can get him in the 10th round in your home League I'm not crazy about drone Ford but he is a value and he is somebody that you can just sort of throw out there if you draft like a Jonathan Brooks and he can start early on in the season while Nick chub is healing up from his ACL injury uh we also have Rico D this one was screaming value 70 picks of value on ESPN for Rico da he's somebody where if I'm going hero RB or zero RB he is outlined and Sharpie on my draft board on any of these platforms and you get him instead of like the 13th round by consensus you can get him maybe more like the you know 11 round and to me that's a smash uh Davon Wix I like or let me actually say why he's a smash Rico D it's not just that he's a value it's that he could be the rb1 on the Dallas Cowboys which is pretty simple there uh then you have Davon Wicks per route stud the issue is that he needs to get the routes but in the 13th round in your home League you could do a lot worse we just talked about Christian Watson if he gets banged up Davon Wick could be a guy you could start every single week and he's attached to Jordan love um then you have Jaylen Wright who is a huge value across the board he has picked 171 over on y but he's going at pick 128 in these high stakes leagues give me Jaylen Wright anywhere in like the 12th 13th round in your home league as a handcuff to Devon Anan and rahee moer we know we know that mcdel is going to use two running backs at a time and if either of those guys go down sub 200lb backs that have been fragile in the past Jaylen Wright could be a stud this year so that is the video the best
