The BEST Draft Strategy For 2024! (Picks 5-8) | Fantasy Football 2024

hey welcome back to the endgame a few days ago I broke down exactly how I would draft if I had an early pick pick one through four in fantasy football this year but look you might not get an early pick maybe you're going to get a pick in the middle of the draft not my favorite spot but I have plenty of experience this here drafting from picks 5 through eight so let's break down exactly how I would draft if I had one of those picks to dominate my league mates in fantasy football in 2024 now in that previous video when I talked about being on the clock in round one I mentioned there are other spots in round one where I may not go running back early and this is one of them but I will say sometimes in some leagues in many leagues honestly maybe Bree Hall maybe bejan Robinson are still here available for you in this spot so if you do want to go running back with one of these middle picks and Bean or Bree are on the clock go ahead pull the trigger on those guys they're going to be great but please don't pull the trigger on any other running backs in these slots cuz you can still get stud wide receivers like Jamar Chase Justin Jefferson Aman Ross Brown AJ Brown these guys all have the potential to be the top scoring wide receiver in fantasy football so unless Bree or beon are still on the board I am almost always going wide receiver with one of these picks in round one and the reason why I'm so okay going wide receiver in round one when I have one of these picks is because we can still get running backs like kyen Williams Derk Henry saquon Barkley often falling to us in the middle of the second round so I don't feel like I need to force running back in round one when I can get one of the these guys in round two and still feel great about my rb1 now wide receiver's a little trickier in this range which is why I prefer to go wide receiver in round one if possible when I'm on the clock with one of these picks but you can sometimes find wide receivers like Marvin Harrison Jr maybe puka Nua could fall to you at this spot people worried about that knee injury his ADP has started to dip but if not you're probably going to have to reach a little bit on guys like Chris ol La Drake London if you want to go wide receiver in this range but again this is why I prefer to take wide receiver in round one I can feel good about the running backs I get here in round two and feel good about my build through two rounds now heading into round three if you haven't gotten a running back yet and you're like hey I really don't want to go any longer without running back I do like James Cook here in this range I think James Cook can be great this is where I feel like he should be going but really not a lot of running backs in this range that are going to fall to you too often that I like here so James Cook if you really want a running back but even and I'm okay if you pass on him in this spot to be honest but on a lot of sites you can still find wide receivers like Nico Collins Mike Evans Deo Samuel Michael Pitman in this range so again I I'd prefer to go wide receiver here if possible hopefully you already got a running back in one of the first two rounds and if you didn't zero RB is a great strategy don't feel scared about it or anything it's going to work just fine this year like it always does but if you grabbed one of those early running backs the wide receivers here are good I'd be happy with any of these guys hopefully as at least your wide receiver too now if you get into round four and maybe you like still need your rb1 or maybe you're looking for that rb2 kind of early in your fantasy drafts I think Kenneth Walker is a great pick here talked about him recently it sounds like he's not just going to be the first and second down guy it sounds like he's really going to be a three down back he's going to catch more passes this year I'll happily take Kenneth Walker in round four but he's really the only running back I want in this range because as we'll see you can just wait and get good running backs later in the draft I don't feel like I have to grab one of these kind of Soo running backs this early now obviously every site is different and I Tred to go with the guys that are available on most of the sites in this range so maybe not all these wide receivers will be available here but on the more common sites like ESPN Yahoo and sleeper in round four you can find wide receivers like Jaylen wad which seems shocking to me but if Jaylen waddle is still there I think he is a smash pick you can also find DK metf DJ Moore devont Smith I really like all of these wide receivers I think they should be going much higher so if you get to round four and these wide receivers are still on the board especially if Jaylen waddle is still on the board grab them you won't regret it now into round five and this is where I think you can start to think about tight end and QB because there are still some really good tight ends on the board that I think can be elite you know no doubt set and forget tight ends like Trey McBride and Dalton concade if you can get either of these guys in round five as your tight end one you should be feeling great quarterback here you're looking at Anthony Richardson is pretty much the only quarterback I really want to grab in this range I know people are worried about the rushing upside the injury but I'll take the risk for a guy who can absolutely be one of the top fantasy quarterbacks this year if you don't want to go tight end or QB yet or maybe you get sniped on those guys there's not really a running back I want to take here again there are some running backs that are fine in this range but I think there are also running backs that are fine later in the draft so I don't feel like I need a running back in round five but there are definitely some high upside wide receivers here I also like if you don't want tight Ender QB looking at guys like Amari Cooper Z flowers George Pickins yeah they're a little boom bust but we're talking hopefully your wide receiver three flex play here I don't mind that volatility at my wide receiver 3 Flex position and you shouldn't either so I think when you're on the clock in the middle of round five here your choices are am I going Elite tight end am I going Elite QB or am I just waiting and taking one of these wide receivers and whatever decision you make it's going to impact the rest of your draft so Choose Wisely but I think any of them are okay now into round six and this is why I say I think you can just wait on running back in round six you're going to see guys like randri Stevenson zamir white quite often going to drop to the middle of round six and look you can get guys like Aaron Jones Alvin Kamar Joe Mixon a round earlier a round or two earlier but are those running backs going to be significantly better than these guys I don't think so I'd rather just wait a round or two and get one of these guys if you're in round six looking to take a running back not really a lot here for wide receiver and we're actually going to see that for a while and this is kind of the theme of drafts this year wide receivers go very early and then you get a lot of good value at running back and then it kind of balances out towards the end so this is why I kind of want to have more wide receivers early than late but if you get to this spot and maybe you did take a elite tight end maybe you grabbed an even earlier QB maybe you grabbed a couple running backs T Higgins and tank Dell typically go in this range on the more common sites like ESPN and Yahoo and sleeper so if you get in this range and you're like hey I only have one or two wide receivers for some reason which I hope you don't cuz you're following this guide but if you do these guys should be fine and even if you don't necessarily need a wide receiver these guys should both be great anyways in this spot if you want to add to your wide receiver depth now if you haven't gotten an elite tight end yet there is one guy I do like to Target here although I've been sniped on him so many times this year is actually shocking to me like I haven't been able to draft Evan Ingram one time I have literally been sniped on him in five to six drafts this year I don't understand why but you usually can get Evan Ingram in this range this is just a guy who's been a top five tight end both years in Jacksonville just a set and forget tight end one and you can get them much later than the other tight ends and then this is a great spot to take your QB if you waited and haven't grabbed a QB by now cuz you can still get quarterbacks like Dak Prescott Jordan love Kyle Murray these guys have incredible upside I mean Dak Prescott was a qb3 last year Jordan love the second half of the season was one of the best QBs Kyler Murray's been a top five QB every year he's been healthy like these guys give you tremendous upside and you're getting them later in the draft so if you've waited on QB this is a great spot to grab one if you don't want to continue to wait do you want to win your fantasy league but don't have time to do all the research are you ready to dominate your draft now in round seven at running back again it it depends what site you're on it depends on your league but on some sites Raheem moard and Naji Harris can fall to this range and if they do and you still need a running back maybe you're still looking for your rb2 maybe you're just looking for an rb3 for depth I think these guys are fine in that slot we know most start's got that touchdown upside I think Naj is going to have more upside than people want to admit so if you still need a running back here or you just need some depth those guys will work at wide receiver we're looking at guys like Terry McClaren Chris Godwin and rashy rice now I'll say one thing about rashy rice with the Hollywood Brown injury his ADP is starting to climb so by the time you draft he might be going a round or two higher so you're going to have to pay attention to that but I would also be happy with Terry mclen or Chris Godwin in the spot if I'm looking for wide receiver and if you're still looking for tight end this is a great time to pull the trigger because you can get guys like David and joku and Jake Ferguson in this range both these guys should be fine as like a low-end one look I think Jake Ferguson might surprise a lot of people this year and be a top five tight end in that Dallas offense so if you're looking for tight end still this is a great time to pull the trigger now to round eight and this is exactly why I say I don't feel like you need to force running backs in early you got javante Williams here who's going to be the clear rb1 in Denver you got Brian Robinson the lead back in Washington you got Tai J Spears sure he's in the split with Tony per but this guy has the kind of upside and Juice you're looking for probably as an rb3 or better in terms of on your depth so yeah this is an example of why I'm just okay waiting on running back getting that one early hero RB so to speak that one Elite RB and then just grabbing a bunch of guys that kind of all feel very similar but have upside to be a solid week in week out rb2 and again not a lot of wide receivers I like in this range if Deontay Johnson is still here I'll happily grab him if Xavier Worthy is still here I'll happily grab him but again like I said with Rashid rice with that Hollywood injury his ADP is starting to climb so by the time you draft he may not be here in this range but if either of these wide receivers here I'll go for it and there's really no tight ends or QBs I like in this range so if you haven't taken one by now just keep waiting now into round nine this is the first kind of late round where I don't like any of the running backs here but I like a lot of running backs round 10 plus we'll talk about them in a second so don't feel like you have to force running back here but there are some good upside wide receivers like Hollywood Brown talked about his ADP is falling because of that injury but it doesn't sound like he's going to miss significant time maybe two three weeks so I'll happily take the injury discount here rookie Romo dun who's looked great in preseason Caleb Williams has looked great Jackson Smith and jigo who I think can have a year two breakout so if you're looking for depth at wide receiver or maybe you're still looking for that Flex start at wide receiver these guys will do the trick and if you got into this range and you still don't have a tight end Dallas GD is fine here I think Dallas SCD is being slept on there are some other tight ends I like later as well so don't feel like you have to take Dallas Goddard but if you're in this spot you need a tight end Dallas GD would do and if you've punted QB to this point I'm okay with either the rookies Jaden Daniels or Caleb Williams I think these guys can be great for Fantasy this year so if you've waited on QB to this spot look to see if the rookies are out there I don't think they'll let you down in 2024 now I'm not going to go round by round from rounds 10 on I'm just going to give you the guys at each position that I like late that you can Target in the later rounds of your fantasy drafts let's start at running back you can get guys round 10 plus like Jerome Ford who is the rv1 in Cleveland Gus Edwards who's the rb1 for the Los Angeles Chargers Chase Brown who's probably the 1B for the Bengals but has incredible upside and Blake corm who is one of the best handcuffs you can get in all of fantasy football because if anything happens to Kiron Williams this guy will absolutely be a League winner at wide receiver you can find guys like Jameson Williams who I think's ready for a Breakout corland Sutton who's no doesn't have the highest ceiling but this guy's going to be solid he's got touchdown upside B Knicks actually looks pretty decent rookie Brian Thomas Jr who I talked about on a recent video I think he's going to be great and even Curtis Samuel of the bills doesn't sound like that foot injury is anything to worry about I think he's going to be one of the top wide receivers in that bills offense and of course if you get to this range and you still don't have tight end my favorite one here is Pat fouth I think he could truly be a league winning tight end this year talked about him on our League winner video you could check out after this one but I also like Cole KD of the Bears or Luke Musgrave of the Packers if you just punted tight end and if you completely punted QB the guys I'm looking for in this range or Matthew Stafford Kurt Cousins maybe Tua will fall to you at this range but these guys will be fine they're not the most exciting they're not going to run but they're going to be solid for you week in and week out pretty much and then I got to say it once again please if you play in a league with kickers and defense don't take kicker and defense until the last two rounds I promise you you can win a fantasy Championship with any kicker with any defense it's not that important let your Noob
