NFL Week 1 Spread PICKS & Predictions 2024 | EVERY GAME

Intro yo what is going on NFL fans welcome back to the JL day sports show in today's episode we're going to talk about all the games for week one with the spread who am I betting for the spread against the spread I'm going to give you all my picks and some of the bets I'm circling as we get closer and closer to week one a lot of these rookie quarterbacks are looking great and they're opening preseason games Caleb Williams looked great Jaden Daniels JJ McCarthy all looked really really good so this is exciting news for NFL fans some of these teams that have been struggling a little bit like the commanders and the Bears over the last I don't know 30 years maybe they'll actually be competitive in years to come let's get into these games first we're Week 1 Picks starting with the Baltimore Ravens and the Kanas Kansas City Chiefs the Chiefs are giving the Ravens three points guys what do you think about this spread I'm going with the Chiefs in the minus three points I think they cover this spread the Baltimore Ravens I mean their wide receivers aren't too impressive in my opinion I know going to want to run the ball a lot with Derrik Henry but on the defensive side of the ball they have like 20 free agents that are gone out of the mix they lost Patrick Queen in the middle of that defense I really think but Nate Wiggins did look really good in that first game against the Eagles even though he did give up that touchdown pass to Shipley in the flat but he looked really good he does look a little small though but I think Kansas City Chiefs exploit this defense with the new defensive coordinator a lot of new moving Parts I'm going with the Chiefs to cover the spread then the next game we're going to move on to the Philadelphia Eagles playing the Green Bay Packers in Brazil nobody's got HomeField advantage in this game looks like the line bumped up it was at one before now the Eagles are given two points so that makes me even more want to take the Green Bay Packers guys a lot of people are jumping on the Eagles line but the Green Bay Packers and that young wide receiving core they draft it really well bringing in guys like edrian Cooper the linebacker who I really really liked in the draft process and they also brought in Xavier mckin to shore up the safety position I really like what the Green Bay Packers are doing right now they got a really good young core of wide receivers and they also brought in Jacobs from the Raiders right I'm going with the Green Bay Packers in the two points to cover the two point spread then we move on to the Arizona Cardinals Cardinals vs Bills at the Buffalo Bills I'm taking the Cardinals and the 6 and A2 points guys the Buffalo Bills were one of the worst teams against the run last year absolutely Dreadful against the run I think they gave up like 4.6 yards per carry and guess who was one of the better teams at running the football last year that's right it was the Arizona Cardinals and they got that great tight end Trey McBride who I think is going to be a top five tight end when the dust sidles at the end of this season and then you also got Marvin Harrison Jr to pair with Kyler Murray I like the direction the Cardinals are moving in and the bills looked abs absolutely Dreadful in that opening game versus the pa the Bears excuse me Caleb Williams lit them the up I like the Jaguars vs Dolphins Cardinals to cover the six and a half points all right let's move on to the Jaguars at the Miami Dolphins and this three and a half line this is one of the hardest games to predict in my opinion the Jacksonville Jaguars lost Calvin Ridley but they brought in Gabe Davis Evan Ingram had a really good year I like ncn the running back but the Dolphins got that high flying offense man with wad Tyreek Hill the running backs are both really really solid and their coach is one of the most creative offensive Minds in the game today can the Jaguars keep up with the dolphins I don't think so I like the Dolphins and the minus three and a half points to cover the spread then we got the Patriots plus n against the Bengals minus 9 it's hard for me to pick any team in week one with giving up nine points I'm don't want the Patriots to cover the spread I think they lose this game but I think the Patriots can keep it close is is I look for the Bengals to struggle offensively a little bit they lost their offensive coordinator who really worked hand inand with Joe burrow for the last few years and Joe mixon's gone they also lost Tyler Boyd who was a staple in that locker room for years I think the Patriots can cover the nine points all Vikings vs Giants right next up on the Slate we got the Minnesota Vikings on the road versus the Giants the Giants improved Pro that dline by bringing in Brian Burns the secondary still a little suspect especially the corner position and when you're dealing with the Minnesota Vikings and that wide receiving core with Addison Justin Jefferson I'm going with the Vikings and minus one but this is not a game I'm interested in betting at all whatsoever I like the Vikings in the spot all right let's move on to the Texans at the Colts another game I don't want anything to do with but man CJ stral in the PR season left off right where he ended the year last year just dominating from you whistle to whistle he is just he's unbelievable he's got like the most compact throwing motion I've ever seen he can throw all the routes he can throw in the middle of the field on the outside with the banana routes and the Fades he's so goddamn good I'm going with the Texans to cover the one and a half points guys Tennessee Titans at the Chicago Bears I thought the Titans had a chance to cover the four points but man after watching Caleb Williams dropping dimes in there all game long oh my God he just look he's got the his arm strength is unbelievable if this offensive line can give him time to operate he is going to shred defenses all year long with radun DJ Moore Keenan Allen DeAndre Swift I'm going with the Bears to cover I originally the last few weeks I was like the Titans I think can cover the spread they might even have a chance to win this game I don't know about that I mean Caleb Williams just just looks so good Steelers vs Falcons we'll see how he looks in the regular season the preseason is the preseason for a reason right defenses are very vanilla not a lot of blitzing so we'll have to see but man his arm strength looks like the real deal Pittsburgh Steelers at the Atlanta Falcons Justin Fields look not good to me man him and Russell Wilson both hold on to the ball really long they're going to take a ton of sacks the defense for the Steelers is Elite right but I think the Falcons could do enough I've been going back and forth on this game all off season long but the Falcons Kirt cousins as long as he's healthy with bejan Robinson Kyle pittz Drake London I think they could do just enough to win it's gonna be a close game it's going to be like a 174 ugly game in my opinion but they but if they can't protect kurk cousins they might lose this game but the Falcons have a really good offensive line and if TJ Watt and heith can't get the Kirk Cousins he's going to shred them and I think that's what happen the Carolina Panthers vers the Saints the Saints offensive line is horrendous alive has been banged up a lot I like the Carolina Panthers this is a bet that I'm circling I like the Panthers they added Robert hunt from the Dolphins to protect Bryce young they added some other players on the o line as well they brought in Xavier Legette Jonathan Brooks is not going to be ready just yet coming back from that knee injury but it's going to be a close game I think the Panthers cover the plus five points man the Saints just they're going to be Bush this year they're going to be booty cheeks all right Denver Broncos at the Broncos vs Seahawks Seattle Seahawks this is one of my favorite bets of the week I think the Seattle Seahawks easily cover the four and a half points we'll have to see how bonck looks tomorrow night but going to Seattle and winning a game on the road for a rookie or Jared stenham who's not very good in my opinion with a limited offensive Weaponry I find it hard to believe Gino Smith is a mediocre quarterback at best he's been dealing with some injuries but he looks like he's getting healthy they're going to really bring him along slow in the preseason so he's ready to rock and roll week one I think the Seahawks that's one of my bets of the week to cover the four and a half points then we got the Raiders at the Chargers Raiders vs Chargers yo I'm taking the Raiders all day in three points I don't see them winning by more than three and then worst comes to worst if they lose by three it's a push I'm hoping that Raiders line gets to three and a half and I'm jumping on that all day long but minus 110 odds they added a huge addition to that dline to help Max Crosby yo Brock Bowers I'm telling you guys Raiders fans get ready because this guy Brock Bowers is going to bring a whole another level to that offense we'll see who the quarterback's going to be we don't really know yet is it going to be Garner muu who played really well got a pro ball nod last year you know so I like the Raiders give me the Raiders in plus three give me it give me Cowboys vs Browns it Dallas Cowboys Cleveland Browns guys the Cowboys are just a dumpster fire man yo Jerry Jones oh man I can't wait to see him not be the owner of the Cowboys anymore this is the perfect reason why having an owner in a GM will never work there's a reason why the Cowboys haven't won a Super Bowl in 30 years it's because of Jerry Jones I'm in no rush to get a deal done you're not cidd lamb Bros is your entire offense you have no cidd lamb you're not going to win seven games this year no cidd lamb no wins the only chance of them even sniffing the playoff is if they give cidd lamb the deal he deserves he's a top three wide receiver in my opinion he GNA throw the ball to Cooks and run the ball at zek get the out of here Jerry Jones Pay The Man Pay The Man Cleveland Browns minus two all day long this is my next B of the week give me the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and three and a half points all day long unless Jaden Daniels has the game of his life to go on the road with that humidity in Florida in September it's going to be like 90 degrees with 900 plus humidity bro give me the three and a half points they got a veteran roster with Baker Mayfield they're going to run the ball 30 times that game down the Commander's throat Mike Evans is there Chris Godwin yo give me all day Tampa Bay Buccaneers three and a half points Bucs vs Lions all day long that's my pick of the week Dude any juice I'm laying on the spread is the three and a half points with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rams Lions puka n is dealing with that knee injury it's something we got to keep our eye on they don't have puka or he's hurt or limited as we approach game day the Lions might cover the three and a half points but if everybody's healthy I like the Rams plus three and a half last year I think they open up the season too they won by one point the Lions did right or whatever so plus three and a half you know they went by a field goal last second you still make that money you get paid still Rams plus three and a half bucket I do think the Lions win though Jets at the 49ers I like this too give me the Jets and Five Points I like the Five Points there this defense is really going to sty me what Brock py wants to do this Brandon auk Situation's kind of touch and go apparently there was a deal in place with the Browns but auk was like f that I'm not going to Cleveland phrasing my nuts off he didn't want to go to Cleveland I get it deshun Watson is not that guy looks like he wants to go to the Steelers will the Steelers move on this could be huge for them Pickins auk yo dude yo dude that offense looks a lot better then even though Fields he's still holding on the ball too long godd damn it Fields get rid of the ball I'm going with the Jets plus five I think this is going to be a close game one point three-point game two-point game I like the Jets the Jets could outright win this game I think they could force some turnovers with Brock pie they're going to be in his ass all night long the Jets have the best defense in the NFL in my opinion and Aaron Rogers is coming for blood they got big man Olo fashu blocking for Aaron roders dude they got Bree Hall great with catching the ball out of the back field I think the linebacking situation is I think what's his name is still going to I think Greenland his name he's going
