FOR NOW, BACK TO YOU. LESLEY: THANK YOU. THE LINE OF FIRE IS QUICKLY BECOMING ONE OF THE LARGER WILDFIRES IN CALIFORNIA THIS YEAR. GIO: AND CAL FIRE SAYS CONTAINMENT IS 0%. HERE'S A LOOK AT THE MAP TON TONIGHT. AREAS IN AND READ OUR MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDERS. AND IN ORANGER THE WARNINGS. LESLEY: THE LATEST ORDER ISSUED JUST A SHORT TIME AGO AND COVERS GARNET STREET EAST TO THE 138 AND MILL CREEK NORTH TO THE FOOTHILLS. GIO: REPORTER LAURIE PEREZ RIGHT NOW WITH THE LATEST EVACUATION AREAS. >>REPORTER: THAT'S RIGHT. WE ARE TONIGHT WEST OF WHERE WE WERE LAST NIGHT ON HIGHWAY 38 JUST OUTSIDE A FEW QAEDA. I WANT TO STEP ASIDE SO YOU CAN SEE THE HAZE LINGERING ABOVE THE MOUNTAINTOPS BEHIND US. THAT IS WHERE THE LINE FIRE CONTINUES TO SWEEP THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS FUELED BY A DRY HOT WIND AND DENSE BRUSH FOR AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE. THIS AS EXPLAINED IS THE WEATHER AGAIN HOT AND DRY BUT ALSO THUNDERSTORMS. WE DROVE UP HERE THROUGH RAIN AND LIGHTENING. NOW AS THE FLAMES ERUPTED THEY ARE GETTING DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO DEVELOPMENT WHICH IS WHY TODAY WE ARE SEEING AS YOU JUST MENTIONED MANY MORE WARNINGS AND ORDERS FOR TWO DAYS NOW WE HAVE BEEN WATCHING AS THE WILDFIRE HAS GROWN WITH SO MUCH SPEED WITH OUR OWN EYES SEEING AS IT MOVES THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN SIDE LIKE A WAVE IT IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ARE NOW NEW EVACUATIONS FOR AS YOU SAID GARNET USED 238 AND MILLCREEK NORTH TO THE FOOTHILLS. IT'S VERY ERRATIC AND VERY AGGRESSIVE. AND AT THIS POINT SHOWING NO SIGNS OF STOPPING. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE ME BACK HERE I WILL SHOW YOU JUST AROUND THE BEND BEHIND ME, WE WANTED TO GO LIVE UP THERE TO SHOW YOU BECAUSE OF THEIR YOU CAN REALLY SEE THE FLAMES THAT ARE THREATENING TO COME DOWN OVER THE RIDGES AND THAT'S WHERE THERE ARE A TON OF FIRE TRUCKS AND FIRE CREWS STATIONED JUST KEEPING AN EYE ON IT THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT IT DOES NOT, YOU KNOW, COME DOWN THE RIDGE AND GET CLOSE TO DEVELOPMENT BECAUSE WE ARE PRETTY CLOSE TO WHERE THE TOWN BEGINS HERE, SO LOTS OF CONCENTRATION ON THE AREA BEHIND US. THE FLAMES AT THIS POINT HIGH UP ON THE RIDGES BUT AS WE HAVE BEEN SEEING OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT FOR THOSE TWO REALLY SWIFTLY MOVE DOWN THE MOUNTAINS AND THE TERRAIN AND BEC CAUSE SOME DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. THAT IS THE SITUATION HERE FOR NOW. WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO GO BACK AND SEE WHERE WE CAN SEE ON THE VIDEOS HERE SO YOU CAN SEE HOW AGGRESSIVELY THIS IS STILL MOVING. BACK TO YOU. GIO: THANK YOU.
