SO AN ARREST WARRANT SAYS THAT 32 YEAR OLD JOSEPH COUCH TEXTED A WOMAN WRITING, I'M GOING TO KILL A LOT OF PEOPLE. WELL, TRY AT LEAST. THE SEARCH FOR. COUCH IS UNFOLDING RIGHT NOW IN LAUREL COUNTY. THAT'S NEAR LONDON, KENTUCKY, ABOUT 75 MILES SOUTH OF LEXINGTON. WLWT NEWS FIVE'S TODD -- IS LIVE NOW WITH THE MANHUNT AND THE NEW DETAILS ABOUT THOSE SHOOTINGS. TODD. WELL, WE ARE NOW IN DAY THREE OF THE MANHUNT AND THE EXHAUSTIVE SEARCHES ARE HAPPENING IN HEAVILY WOODED AREAS. I KNOW THE CITIZENS OF OUR COMMUNITY IN BOTH ROCKCASTLE AND LAUREL COUNTIES ARE STRESSED TO THE MAX AND LAW ENFORCEMENT IS WORKING TIRELESSLY TO BRING THIS TO A CALM AND AN EASE FOR THEM. YEAH, THE STRESS THAT PEOPLE IN THIS PART OF SOUTHERN KENTUCKY ARE FEELING BEGAN ON SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN POLICE SAY COUCH USED AN AR 15 STYLE ASSAULT GUN TO SHOOT AT CARS ON I-75. INVESTIGATORS SAY COUCH USED DIFFERENT POSITIONS ON A LEDGE OVERLOOKING THE HIGHWAY TO SEND BULLETS DOWN ONTO THE HEAVILY TRAVELED ROADWAY BELOW. AT THIS POINT, POLICE SAY FIVE RANDOM PEOPLE WERE HIT BY BULLETS. THE GOOD NEWS ALL ARE EXPECTED TO BE OKAY. NOW THE FOCUS IS ON THE PAINSTAKING PUSH TO FIND THE 32 YEAR OLD JOSEPH COUCH, WHO IS BELIEVED TO BE HIDING SOMEWHERE IN THE DANIEL BOONE NATIONAL FOREST. THIS MANHUNT HAS BECOME A METHODICAL EFFORT, SIMILAR LIKE A HIDE AND SEEK. WE'RE FOCUSED ON PROTECTING THE RESIDENTS AND THEIR HOMES AND THE BUSINESSES DURING THIS CRITICAL TIME. ALSO, SHERIFF'S INVESTIGATORS HERE IN LAUREL COUNTY, THEY SAID THEY'RE GETTING THOSE CALLS FROM SCHOOLS THERE, GIVING THEM THEIR HONEST ASSESSMENT.
