Breaking Down the Raiders' First Preseason Depth Chart! | NBR Podcast

Intro um I wanted to throw this out here because this is like the unofficial um depth chart for the preseason game for um you know the the game against the Minnesota Vikings and you know right now A noono is going to you know start you know he's gonna start the game but we are going to see gardam menu um you know as of right now you see when it comes to I don't know if y'all can see this I don't know if you need me to zoom it up a little bit more um but basically you know you see Devonte Adams there you see the you know keelen doses you see uh Christian Wilkerson another guy that was really good um Jaylen G is on his um on his depth chart uh raml Keaton oh Tennessee volunteer all day baby I love the way he's I love the way he's playing in Traer cat right now when you talking about somebody that's fast and that get yards after the catch that is your guy tall too um but if you see offensive line that's what I really wanted to look at you know C Miller's on here Cody white here Andre James Dylan par here they they monther um and then you see you know uh arre Pete Jackson power Johnson uh Ben Brown Jordan meridith DJ glaze Harrison Bryant you know as far as tight ends Zack Gentry um wide receivers Trey Tucker um you know def defensively I mean what what do y'all see on this depth chart that like what what is like the P like what is a few people on this depth chart that y'all see right now that you're looking forward to seeing like excited to see for going into week one of this preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings yo let me shout out to Jaylen Heiden Jaylen Heiden man because uh you know he's got that speed factor and um I know Tesco loves him um shout out to his mom Brandy giden we do a show called the real moms of The Shield Randy giden um of course mom of Jaylen and Jennifer Cony Shepard mom of ran Gary of the G of the Green Bay Packers she is over the moon excited uh he was actually re he was activated off the pup list I think it was yesterday um nice and I think he is going to he's going to be you know with Trey Tucker um and him with that speed that that's some speed right there that is a lot of speed um I'm looking forward to seeing and he used to kill the Raiders when he was with the Chargers too by the way um I'm looking forward to that kid getting out there and and and doing what he does talented I'mma go I'm g go Anthony Brown Jr quarterback because I understand we want to see aan okono and Gardner minu but I really want to see what Anthony Brown Jr does in this game um I've been hearing a lot of talk about Anthony Brown Jr um in training camp so that's going to be a very interesting exciting one that I want to see at the quarterback position position um I want to see you know I'm going be biased Tennessee another Tennessee evve Matthew Matthew Butler I want to see how he improved from last year um him and Byron young I want definitely want to see them two uh it it's very interesting I definitely you know of course the you know Tommy anenberg and most of the rookies I really want to see but Anthony Brown Jr is the one for me and of course you know I want to see Ral Keaton you know see if they could do a connection where they have Anthony Brown Jr and him in at the same time um that would be very interesting to watch because I know most of the starters is not really going to play here of course you still have CER McCormick there still got Britton Brown has been there for a couple years at the running back position um and um I don't know how to pronounce his last name but Dylan number 23 I heard a lot about yeah I learned a lot I heard a lot about him in Camp as well so hopefully I get to see a few of those ones but the main one I'm excited for is Anthony Brown Jr I know he's going to get some time and I want to see Ral Keon offensively defense I want to see Byron young and Matthew Butler in their defensive tackles and as far as like you know linebackers Tommy ikenberg U Amari Bernie I want to see how he progressed from last year you know coming out of Florida so he's another one um I'm not really looking looking too forward to the to the starters I'm really looking forward more to the rookies than Rookies anything for me I mean on offense um I'm excited to see Brock Bowers and how they use him so I think there's going to be a lot of Versatility some cool stuff goinging out there um I want to see some of the the uh undrafted guys on offense and how they play like uh Tulu Griffin um you know I'm really excited to see what happens with him um I think he can make some some plays uh on special teams too um not just on offense um I want to see uh Dylan lby that he's he's uh I think got a chance CH to steal that job away from Amir Abdullah I love Amir he's made some clutch plays for us and stuff like that but I mean lby is just overall more talented and so um kind of be gonna be interesting to see what he looks like in pre-season um on defense um my boy Jack Jones is because he the president but then I want to see some of the depth um the death pieces and how they uh how they blossom I'm like some no-name guys like ellerson Smith and Charles Snowden who are like extremely athletic players um who you know coach Pierce picked you know handpicked out of off of other people's rosters last year when no one was paying attention um and these guys are both 65 270 is you know raw talent that really never kind of developed Ellison Smith was something that I was watching when he got drafted so those players are really interesting want to see you know Jus Robinson is still on the team for a reason I thought he he may not make the team after what he did but he's still here so that tells me something let see what happens there um yeah so it's you know Ron Stone Jr we got a lot of like really athletic uh defensive ends and I'm just kind of see what the pass rushers look Defensive Ends like um Willie is there anyone that you you know you want to see I already went oh listen my listen my mind is all over the place don't mind me um black are you looking and are you uh actually I am watching watching the preseason game this no I am for sure I am this who I'm looking this is who I'm looking uh got my eye on under the microscope You Know Jack Jones I got Nate Hobs so the thing about it is like our our uh our defense is I think it's we go we come and go with our secondary I kind of think that's how we kind of are right so when our secondary play solid then it seems like our defense is solid I mean because you know Max could do what he do what he does or whatever and the line can kind of get off but if our secondary can hold that back in then it's good so I'm literally looking for that to see if we can keep that consistency and I and I expect it um and and they coming in with that with that bounce like that that's what they going to do and I like that you know so I just I'm looking forward for that now what I'm looking for on the other side of the ball I'm looking for this running backs these running backs y'all talking about I ain't saying they not gonna be cool what I'm saying to y'all is I don't think they're gonna be able to give us that that that punch that we gonna need like I don't I but like I said I don't know though I don't know so I I reserve myself to be wrong with this and I hope I am wrong with this but that's what I got my eyee on because I'm just not sure about RBs it now Brit Brown's been around for a couple years I think he came out around I think we drafted him the same year is Zeus if I'm not mistaken and Brit Brown he's just been he's been hurt with he's been messed up with injuries it it just never fails or he's always been a healthy scratch on the roster but if you ever go back and look at him when he played at UCLA he is uh he was he was really good coming out of UCLA so um if you definitely want to go look at that um sin McCormick was definitely highly they was highly on him last year um I think he was made it to the practice squad I think he sued up a few times last year um Amir Abdullah if I remember Amir abdulla when he was back in Detroit when he was a great pass catching um third down type of back you know injuries kind of killed him but he's been but he's been healthy since he's been with the Las Vegas Raiders so I like like you said I'm looking forward to it to I'm looking forward to see Alexander M Madison um I think he's another one that came up from Minnesota I think he's gonna be um he was a backup to dvin cook in in U Minnesota when dvin cook was there and he did put up some numbers he's definitely a Red Zone type of guy that uh um when it when it comes down to it um if if Zeus not in there and they they gonna put Matt Madison in there offensively they gonna put him in there if they don't put Zeus in there depend on the scheme oning the situation but I do I did like that pick up at the at the running back position but um overall you know linebackers of course you know we might we might not see any of our Prime linebackers like devono or Robert Spain we just never know um they didn't put um everything this is just the unofficial depth chart as of right now they didn't put the official depth chart but at the end of the day I think these these players has been pretty impressive um overall like especially the rookies they've been pretty impressive it been good things about them um so it's it's going to be interesting to watch though is is it's definitely going to be interesting to watch um [Music]
