how's it going everyone it's now officially about 2:00 and another hour has pass and we are getting a lot more roster news not just who got cut but we also have a player that has kind of officially made the 53 man roster so starting with that Matt schneidman has reported that the Packers are keeping wide receiver Malik Heath on the 53 per source so it looks like he has definitely made the roster and now it kind of goes to Bow mountain and Grant the Bose hopefully they both make it but nothing official on those two sides but it looks like at least Malik Keith has made it now going on to the roster Cuts there are four more roster cuts and couple of big names on this one so starting off uh match nman also reported that the Packers have released defensive end Deslin Alexandri P source and also from Ryan wood he has announced that Packers are releasing defensive lineman James Esther per Source expect him back on the practice squad so two players that were pretty far down in the roster and in the depth chart didn't really expect them to make it it's kind of just an official part now there are two other players that were it was kind of a battle between the two well it's no longer a battle because yesterday we traded for Malik Willis which kind of put a wrench into the backup QB competition so Ian Rapaport S as uh tweeted Source the Packers are releasing QB Sean Clifford which was rumored yesterday that he would get released but then Bill Huber added on to this and tweeted out as I wrote yesterday Sean Clifford would be released Michael Pratt just was to a source confirmed so the Packers are releasing both QBs in sha Clifford and Michael Pratt now uh the apparently the Packers front office I'm not sure how they exactly do this they probably ask other GMS which I don't know why other GMS would kind of want to show their card but apparently they asked around and the report is that if they did get cut they would clear waivers and should like no one would pick them up essentially which I did find that a little bit hard to believe initially but it can make sense considering how much uh quarterback carousels typically go but essentially the Packers asked around and pretty much everyone that they asked said no we wouldn't put in a waiver claim or try to get Sean Clifford or Michael Bratt so they have a high expectation that they should clear waivers and that maybe potentially both of them will join the practice squad there was also a slight another report out there that there's a big belief Sean Clifford will actually clear waivers and that he'll be put on the practice squad and then come like week one they'll kind of elevate him as QB number two considering how new Malik Willis is to get him up to speed but to have three quarterbacks onto the roster in the first week at least considering like I said Malik Willis is so new to this team and in the offense they kind of have a super backup plan in where Sean Clifford knows the offense and then after week one he would go back down to the practice squad and probably stay there until he needs to get called up again or any other scenario outside of that but just once again coming out with another update this one a lot more bigger players are actually getting announced and we're starting to get into more of those tougher decision players getting cut so expect a little bit more no names to get cut as the hours progress we have until 4:00 so only a couple more hours to go and we'll be down to a 53 man roster but let me know what you think down in the comments if you like the video hit the like button subscribe to the channel and as always go pack go
