🔴 LIVE - KEIR STARMER'S SPEECH

e e e e e well hello everyone Welcome to our first live stream on audits like this got some viewers in already um this is the first test of this kind right now because usually you see me out and about with the GoPro filming um but no today I wanted to give you a live stream from the desktop in the comfort of my own home as well already got some um comments leave my rights alone our fearless communist leader is going to address this I wonder if he's going to be like I hope not leave my rights alone I really hope not um so the situation here is that like you said Kia Jong-un is going to be going live um from Downing Street soon to talk about policies and commitments that he made during the election campaign and things he's already reneged on uh I will say that this guy has actually scared me more than Corbin I didn't think it was possible you know at least with Corbin you knew he would turn everything into one massive goolag um dismantle Trident and well send us back to the Middle Ages but with Kia absolutely nothing haven't got a clue what is going on there [Music] um but right here zero yeah yeah maybe I'm being too optimistic there Michael Al how's the stream quality everyone hopefully it's a lot better than uh out on the streets it's interesting take leave my rights alone very interesting that's what Nigel farage did didn't he he made a contract so promise but you know I'm not shocked again we've had another stabbing in Bournemouth in the last 24 hours um and I'm just so desensitized to it which is very sad all right let's sort this out this the first time I've been using this so um excuse me if I'm a little slow uh but by the time we have these weekly live streams I will know what the hell is going on all right let's get my let's get my face down here we go so hopefully you can see AMA bin Ladon now rather than me I love that emoji [Laughter] Jason oh excellent thanks Michael that is a good thing um if you could just smash that like button as well I'd really appreciate that because that helps it go out even further let me just see what our fearless leader is up to on the stream see if it's uh live yet no he's not live yet absolutely leave my rights alone it's kind of similar to when I went to I don't know if you've seen any of my Football Stadium tours but I went to R and FC a couple of weeks ago and I was talking to the chap and he gave me a tour just out the blue which is really great and we were speaking about how these people that come in and buy football clubs aren't owners they're custodians and I see that as a similar situation to the UK now yes you may be elected but you don't own the country you're a custodian your job is to serve the people not to arrest them and parade it all over social media which funny enough hasn't seem to have happened with the was it 50 people that arrested at the Notting Hill Carnival H um Pennywise the dcing clown is on in about a minute he so I'm just waiting for that to to load up and then we can see what he has to say I'm refreshing it just thought it would have been on by now oh there we go is starting soon out that done [Music] here we go be me a second ah there we go he's late why aren't we surprised still got some funky music playing over it [Music] shut after now all right while we're waiting for K Jun to come on let's have your predictions what's he going to talk about think he's going to condemn anything that happened in not in Hill Carnival do you think he's going to apologize to the pensioners he's stealing money off um or do you think he's just going to talk about this uh National you know the Sovereign wealth fund the uh Brit big British energy scheme he's got going on let's see your predictions that'll be good also brought some water definitely needed yeah I know the man has created more Division and anxiety in a week than any incumbent prime minister I've ever seen before yeah Andy I agree with you on that a sovereign wealth fund Great British energy um as long as it's directed in the right way will have have you know have a net positive um but I just hope it's not smoking mirrors um to as politicians are so absolutely uh good at um avoiding oh here we go right no wind probably tempting fate but it's really good to see you all here see familiar faces uh in this Garden so thank you so much for coming along this morning when I stood on the steps of Downing Street uh just over there two months ago um I promised that this government would serve people like you apprentices teachers nurses small business owners firefighters those serving our community and our country every day I promised that we would get a grip on the problems that we face and that we would be judged by our actions not by our words I said before the election and I say it again really clearly today growth and frankly by that I do mean wealth creation is the number one priority of this labor government and that's why in our first few weeks we've set up the national wealth fund because we want every person and every Community to benefit it it's why we've unlocked planning decisions because we're going to build 1.5 million new homes it's why we set up Great British energy to create good jobs and cut people's bills there you go mentioned it already and it's why we ended the national strikes that have crippled our country for years because I defy anyone to tell me that you can grow the economy when people can't get to work because the transport system is broken or can't return to work because they're stuck on an NHS waiting list we've done more in seven weeks than the last government did in seven years and these are just the first steps towards the change that people voted for the change that I'm determined to deliver but before the election I also gave a warning I said change would not happen overnight that's fair when there's a deep rot at the heart of a structure you can't just cover it up you can't just Tinker or rely on quick fixes you have to overhaul the entire thing tackle it at root even if it's harder work and takes more time because otherwise what happens the rck returns here all the same places and it spreads worse than before that you know that I know that and that's why this project has always been about fixing the foundations of our country he's going after the past 14 years now things are worse than we ever imagined in the first few weeks we discovered a 22 billion pound black hole in the public finances and before anyone says oh this is just performative or playing politics let's remember the OB did not know about it they wrote a letter setting that out and they didn't know because the last government hid it and even last Wednesday just last Wednesday we found out that thanks to the last government's recklessness we borrowed almost 5 billion pound more than the obr expected in the last three months alone that's not performative that's fact but as well as the things that we've discovered we've also seen shocking scenes Across the Nation a Mindless minority of thugs who thought that they could get away with causing chaos look leave my rights alone we are still British after all that's how we do things terrifying minorities send a letter Iz in and destroying people's property exactly my point UK to set fire to a building with human beings inside it and as if that wasn't despicable enough people displaying swastika tattoos shouting racist slurs on our streets Nazi salutes but the senator the senator the very place we honor those who gave their lives for this country desecrating their memory under the pretend and it is a pretense of legitimate protest now they're learning that crime has consequences that I won't tolerate a breakdown in Law and Order under any circumstances and I will not listen to those who exploit grieving families and disrespect local communities but these riots didn't happen in a vacuum they exposed the state of our country revealed a deeply unhealthy Society the cracks in our foundations laid be oh absolutely that wed minority by a decade of division and decline infected by a spiral of populism which fed off cycles of failure of the last government oh here we go every time they faced a difficult problem they failed to be honest they offered the snake oil of populism we go which led to more failure round and round and round stuck in the Rut of the politics of performance I saw the beginning of that downward spiral firsthand absolutely this UK back in 2011 you know I've seen the other when RI RI through London and across the country I was then director they get slap on the wrist and when I think back to that time I see just how far we have fallen because responding to those riots was hard of course it was but dealing with the riots this summer was much harder back in 2011 I didn't doubt that the courts could do what they needed to do this time to be honest with you I genuinely didn't know let me tell you this every day of that disorder literally every day we had to check the precise number of prison places and where those places were to make sure that we could arrest charge and prosecute people quickly not having enough prison places is about as fundamental a failure as you can get and those people throwing rocks torching cars making threats they didn't just know the system was broken they were betting on it gaming it they thought ah they'll never arrest me and if they do I won't be prosecuted and if I am I won't get much of a sentence they saw the cracks in our society after 14 years of failure and they exploited them lot of interesting things in the comments inherited not just an economic black hole a societal black hole and that's why we have to take action and do things differently and part of that is being honest with people about the choices that we Face how tough this will be and frankly things will get worse before they get better oh ready for this I didn't want to release prisoners early I was Chief prosecuted for 5 years it goes against the grain of everything I've ever done but to be blunt if we hadn't taken that difficult decision immediately we wouldn't have been able to respond to the riots as we did exactly that Neil and if we don't take tough action across the board we won't be able to fix the foundations of the country as we need I didn't want to means T the winter fuel payment we'll discuss this you can a choice that we had to make a choice to protect the most vulnerable pensioners while doing what is necessary to repair the public finances because pensioners also rely on a functioning NHS good public transport strong National infrastructure they want their children to be able to buy homes they want their grandchildren to get a good education so we have made that difficult decision to mend the public finances so everyone benefits in the long term including pensioners now that is a difficult tradeoff and there will be more to come I won't shy away from making unpopular decisions now if it's the right thing for the country in the long term well just energy a country where people fear walking down their street their TV showing cars and buildings being set on fire this shouldn't be a country where the Prime Minister can't guarantee prison places there shouldn't be a country where people are paying thousands more on their mortgages or waiting months for Hospital appointments they desperately need where our waters are filled with sewage where parents worry that their kids won't get the opportunities that they did where nothing seems to work anymore so when I talk about the inheritance we'll have a chat about this after the 22 billion pound black hole in our finances that isn't about a line on a grath that's about people's lives your lives and the tourist are still not being honest they know their recklessness cost them the election but they won't accept the cost that they've inflicted on the country and they won't apologize for what they've cost you they're just still thinking about themselves and this government won't always be perfect but I promise you this you will be our the heart of it in the Forefront of our minds absolutely Sten got we do and that's why I wanted to invite you here today to show that decent hardworking people who make up the backbone of this belong here how Democratic is first this is a government for you a garden and a building that were once used for lockdown parties remember the pictures just over there of the wine and the food well this garden and this building and now back in your service it's not just that the last government relied on easy gimmicks and bad ideas those things happened precisely because the government itself lost its focus on the hopes and Ambitions of working people during those recent riots I made huge asks of the police and of the Criminal Justice System people already stretched to the Limit they knew I was making big asks of them and I'm not going to apologize for it but let me tell you this they delivered they deserve our gratitude and that's why I went to Southport to amth to Belfast to thank them personally to shake the hands of the first responded Who Rose up to the ask I was making of them they deserve a government that trusts them supports them and works with them that is the sort of government that we will be one that works with people not does things to them one that believes in hard graft not gimmicks or honest about the challenges we face and working tirelessly to fix them and that is how we will always work it w TR sorry Parliament returns I tried the business of politics will resume but it won't be business as usual because we can't go on like this anymore things will have to be done differently we will do the hard work to root out 14 years of rot reverse a decade of Decline and fix the foundations between now and Christmas we will carry on as we've started action not words we will introduce legislation and take decisions to protect taxpayers money to take on the blockers by accelerating planning to build homes and boost growth we will forward this Autumn to harness the full potential of AI for growth and for the public good we'll bring rail service into public ownership putting passengers first the biggest leveling up of workers rights in a generation to give people security dignity and respect at work and Great British energy will be owned by the taxpayer making money for the taxpayer producing clean energy and creating good jobs that is our Focus for the rest of the year but I will be honest with you there is a budget coming in October and it's going to be painful we have no other choice given the situation that we're in those with the broadest shoulders should bear the heavier burden and that's why we're cracking down on Noms those who made the mess should have to do their bit to clean it up and that's why we're strengthening the powers of the water regulator and backing tough fines on the water companies that let sewage flood our rivers lakes and seas but just as when I responded to the riots I'll have to turn to the country and make big asks of you as well to accept short-term pain for long-term good the difficult tradeoff sounds like for the genuine solution and I know that after all that you have been through that is a really big ask and really difficult to hear that is not the position we should be in it's not the position I want to be in but we have to end the politics of the easy answer that solves nothing but I also know that we can get through this together because the riots didn't just betray the sickness they also revealed The Cure found not in the cynical conflict of populism but in the coming together of a country the people who got together the morning after all around the country with their brooms their shovels their TRS and cleared up their Community they reminded us who we really are I felt real pride in the those people who cleaned up our streets rebuilt the walls repaired the damage and I couldn't help thinking about the obvious parallels because Imagine The Pride we will feel as a nation when after the hard work of clearing up the mess is done we have a country that we have built together built to last that belongs to every single one of us and all of us have a stake in it all of us our hard work rewarded a dozen times over because we'll have an economy that works for everyone an NHS not just back on its feet but fit for the future streets that everyone feels safe in no longer dependent on foreign dictators because we're producing our own clean energy right here and giving every child wherever they come from whatever ever their background the chance to go as far as their talents will take them oh absolutely stepen it' be interesting I won't lose sight of that contracts that I won't lose sight of what we were elected to do and most importantly I won't lose sight of the people that we were elected to do it for you this is our country let's fix it together thank you very much thank [Applause] okay well there you have it guys what's everyone's thoughts then before we uh before we kick off about what I reckon what's going on here let's get rid of waffle nothing new said um Andy you raised some interesting points and I'd just like to clarify where I am in all this um while I work out what the [ __ ] is going on with this live streaming thing um I always said that I'm center right with some socialist Tendencies because that I grew up on a on a counselor State my mom's been disabled I'm used to it um so I'm up for all forgiv people a fair chance but from what I saw in this live stream um there was a lot a lot of focus on the word populism and passing the blame toward towards people who are concerned about what's going on in our country now I will say totally agree with you riting destruction of property all of that should be dealt with even though someone did say to me um was it rioting is the language of the desperate um but it's an interesting one uh yet again despite all that he is demonizing people that I know who are very hardworking lovely people that don't have a racist bone in their body and boxing them into a category um and again still not answering questions we've got see that's why we get on Andy that's why we get on I don't know why it's still showing kissed armor in the back what can everyone see on this cuz I'm trying to put it as me but it looks like it's still showing his K armor in the background it's weird so what was everyone's takea away from that then Guan um let's let's get let's have a chat going on in we can't trust him lost all respect taking our rights away well Neil you again you ra you raise a fair point um I have seen some of the more rightwing leaning media say put in jail for a Facebook post um and there was this one lady who okay she did write something like up the mosque um which isn't the greatest thing but to put her in jail for two years alongside someone has thrown a brick at police that is dystopian that's a welli and that's that's concerning um yet a labor Council like we already said can go about people and he's still under investigation and the legal process seems to have um not gone as quickly for that chap or reflecting on Manchester Airport as well I know that the um independent police commission is still doing their investigation however that is separate to the criminal investigation so what's going on exactly this UK UK transparency um he he kept saying action not words and he's definitely taking a lot of action um not the right sort of action though and he's talking about populism in a negative light yet was constantly referring to the 22 billion pound black hole in the finances which supposedly the obr had no idea of yet Rachel Reeves had mentioned it a few times in prime minister's questions prior to July the 4th so unless someone has some sort of time traveling device like my wall behind me it does look like the inside of the TARDIS um not sure what's going on there uh I can't see any more chat so guys if you could let me know some more your thoughts I've enjoyed this interaction let's have a look you raised a good point Michael yeah um and interestingly enough when you look at the social classes of the people who've been through this court process the judicial proceedings they tend to not have the capital required to hire a private lawyer rather one state appointed which naturally they just want to get cases completed processed signed off because you know they're on targets to complete everything they they don't really care about the outcome of the case they just want to get the case finished so they would advise their clients to um take a plea deal um and then get rushed through the courts which is that fair yeah they should hire Kia um Andy good point there on GB energy and new homes um and also the national wealth fund as well these were two of the policies before Kier was elected that I thought actually I could get behind those two I've been calling for a sovereign wealth fund for a long time you've got a lot of Middle Eastern and Far East countries that are benefiting from this especially from um purchasing National infrastructure not critical National infrastructure of course that would be a security risk but National infrastructure um within the UK and hence that's why a lot of properties are going up in in London as well the the prices um but the Great British energy would be an interesting one as long as they get it right um taxpayer owned also I noticed that they were talking about the rationalization of Railways what's everyone's thoughts on that because we've just seen that they caved into the unions demands shock um over pay Rises for rail workers and again had an interesting conversation with with a chap on X um who criticized our criticism of an increase in public spending when they said well actually the rail workers work for private companies and I said yeah that that is true however um National Rail own the rail infrastructure therefore the UK government is a stakeholder so it's in their best interest to keep everything going um so it'll be interesting to see what happens if they renationalize that'll be even more money spent yeah absolutely Andy I mean you see in some of the Scandinavian countries um and before the last 10 years uh they were aspirational level um not so much at the moment what this sour Crow water is critical infrastructure foreign owned I'm pretty sure there's some legislation there on ownership of critical National infrastructure but the companies can be foreign owned sour like um EDF you know French company but the actual running and security of these sites is is is is government um leave my rights alone don't don't let the French own the trains yeah it's kind of interesting actually cuz I remember I think it was about 10 years ago when um the government at the time were looking to sell off some of the motorways or dual carriageways to French own companies who were considering sticking up toll booths so I'm glad that didn't happen interesting one Andy um never gone on the shin Canen from Tokyo you know the bullet train uh but I've seen how they operate over there and you're getting shoved onto trains um so that's the only thing that comes into my mind when I think about that government is critical infrastructure foreign owned um M6 is actually a nice road yeah and I just criticized the potential um implementation of toll roads but I whenever I go on the m6 I always pay for the the fast one um and you just look around you think it's like something out of a zombie movie 28 Days Later no other cars great yeah interesting one UK transparency you're going to have to talk more about that because some people have been speaking about 15minute cities and implementation in Oxford and things like that is that similar because again I'm I'm looking at it from two sides I always like to look at a balanced argument and it's going to get very expensive for people who drive regularly you know like I'm all around the country doing my filming so I don't really fancy paying lots of tax when my car is actually efficient it's a euro6 um so it's a lot more efficient than other cars uh but also I can see that it wouldn't be fair on people to pay as much tax when they don't use their cars but then why when you use public transport again there are so many different questions how' you get it right I'm glad I'm not in [Music] government all their plans have to be done by 20130 why is that are you talking about the Net Zero climate promise also guys if you haven't already please smash that like button please do subscribe to the channel um it definitely helps us grow I was thinking about getting an EV Andy um apart from the fact they make a horrible wearing sound I don't like that um I'm still a bit of a petrol head I like my car to Roar at me when I turn it on it was the infrastructure that let it down plus I used to work for a very big well-known consulting firm um won't name them um but you will have heard of them and there was a lot of talk around the expense of producing them and also the short-term environmental impact um outweighing the long-term Environ environmental impact from a you know a net positive side of things and it was it was an interesting one um someone who worked there was always banging on about hydrogen cars but I do believe they are not as efficient in terms of the whole manufacturing process and I think they they've just banned them somewhere I read somewhere I can't remember don't quote me on that there was something negative in the Press about the hydrogen cars and that things were being stopped good point UK transparency absolutely on both points you know the tax on fuel and then the additional tax I mean let's let's face it we get tax on everything nowadays so I have just add another tax um ah Andy see he'd be an interesting one then to talk about sorry UK transparency uh let me just go back to your point and then I'll cover Andy yeah these superchargers I think um they're a lot more efficient on the batteries now I've been looking I've been looking at a few because I follow the likes of Harry's Garage and shme 150 who cover a lot of these things and seen through glass and supposedly the range on a lot of these EVS are increasing because they're refining the batteries like anything you know the first 10 to 15 years aren't going to be great but it's how you refine it and improve the process from there I've seen a lot of supercharges that can whack your battery right up to full charge in 15 minutes so go off and have a coffee or a Macky um but Andy please talk about hydrogen being terrible because everyone else in the chat is is quite positive about it but as an engineer uh you can let us know give us some insight with your um technical knowledge while I have a drink this is Water by the way should be after that with Kia I've just had a great vision of the future can everybody remember the Kevin cner film Water World boom that's our future I love it Water World meets Mad Max so half the planet is covered in water the rest is just a big desert done done done vote for me 2029 uh anyway I'm going to wrap this up soon uh appreciate everyone joining um are there any more points fundamental points from starma speech that we you'd like like to cover or debate so I've written a few more interesting things down but I'm I'm conscious of Time Radioactive Diamond batteries okay I'm I'm just dissecting that radioactive sounds scary as hell Diamond sounds very expensive we love a good tangent Andy I do it as well how my brain's wired hydrogen is an energy not a storage because it stores in the seas and rivers just trying to think oh no I'm thinking of carbon offsetting where you're seeing these what is it Farms these seaweed and Kel Farms um to capture carbon emissions at the source which supposedly has a better rate of capture than trees so quite interesting sharks with lasers okay so UK transparency his past views on abor Behavior says to me he has he's no way any kind of Savior um can you just elaborate on that please no such thing as free anything really anyway I've taken up enough of your time um thanks everyone for joining and watching the live stream with me and providing the the the commentary um look reflecting on the recent poll I did it seems that the majority are looking for my weekly live streams on a Friday so they will incorporate things that happened in the UK uh things that kier's done or not done interesting videos from other Auditors so probably a lot of DJ media stuff's going to go on there from a lot of the protests that he's covered live um as well as then a Q and A like this cuz I find it quite interesting to get that engagement up um but yeah if you could all like the video subscribe if you haven't already really appreciate it um but we'll see you on the next one so uh you
