quarterback from Gaining confidence with his legs we got some things to do with him in the second half to slow him down and mclen without a catch at that first half but to try to change that here just outstretched Daniels going deep against Jamal Dean for mclen but he could not pull it in and it's second down and this is one of the areas where jayen Daniels is outstanding and you just see right there Jamal Dean get stuck and and Terry mclen runs right past I mean just overthrown by a little bit by Jaden Daniels love the aggressive shot to start to start the second half so second down and 10 from the 30 Daniels over the middle in all kinds of traffic and that's incomplete pass broken up by Jordan white as he tried to fit it into Zack Herz and it's third down and 10 now Jordan Whitehead coming back in his second s with Tampa Bay played with the Jets the last two years you asked Antoine Winfield what it was like to have him back there he lit up like a Christmas tree he was fired up to and out of the Huddle getting to the line of scrimmage it was something that they didn't really struggle with during the course of training camp and through the preseason but like always you know this is regular season it's very different uh you're doing a lot more you're not running a basic offense so struggling a little bit you know getting back to that line of scrim and have to use a timeout in team and continue to grow and that that is going to be the big question mark here and everything I've read every quote I've read from a coach a player about how Jaden Daniels prepares everything that that we know about him physically as a quarterback playing the college game transferring up here it it's seems like this is the best opportunity they had in a long time third and 18 mcaffrey former going to be a big deal and that you can come back and just go into that next series and start playing again and I was very impressed I had him last year during the course of season a couple of times and uh just really Embrace that opportunity working up the middle Rashad white finds nothing excellent defense Frankie louu dorren Armstrong there to close the door that's one of the the big ads by Washington in the off season Frankie louu uh versatility you know that's that's one of the things that a lot of these coaches will talk today about today is is position versatility and that's Frankie Lille off the ball linebacker really good pass rusher from the line of scrimmage just one of those really good high motor guys can do a lot of different things going to be interesting to see that chess piece in this defense no doubt as this team grows he will be a big player for them in that linebacking spot five for eight on third down as Mayfield going for it all in the end zone and flags to make that play fight back through make sure that ball is not intercepted considering how short-handed that secondary is right now with injuries across the board that's an excellent play Christian in Cleveland walk on to first pick to playoffs it was a fairy tale until it wasn't she told me Baker wasn't his best self there and stuffed it down football was spiraling personal life was tense and they were struggling to have a baby she said it took leaving for Baker to do internal work and he did a lot which led to LA to Tampa and baby kova who was at her first NFL game today said Emily seeing him this happy on and off the field makes my heart [Applause] explode well Laura Baker Mayfield we saw kov Jade on the field earlier today with his wife Emily and the dog the dog's not on the field but there they were before the game absolute delight and the change that you notice in Baker ability some good things on the short passing game we haven't seen him hit on the Deep ball that was one of his best throws in college deep down the right side or deep into the middle of the field pressure comes it's picked up and Daniels with time finds his tight end Zack Herz and that'll be a first down at Midfield been a while since those two have been able to connect with this heat so they've re they've taken another look at this and it is going to be just short of the first down so the spot just shot of Midfield so now second and one instead of first down and 10 so gives zurt a nyd gain and not a 10 yard game as you keep your stats at [Music] home still not one catch today for Terry mclen who's LED Washington in catches and receiving yards each of the last five years he's at the top of the screen on second down and one the hand off to Robinson and Robinson tripped up by Brit as he gets to the 45 yd line but a first down for Washington you pointed out Kevin there's plenty of time right here just be patient you can continue to play this thing on we got 405 coming up on four minutes left here in the third quarter the one shot to Terry mclen the the big deep throw that Jaden Daniels just missed by a couple of inches so we'll see if CLI Cliff kingsberry can find a way to kind of dial up something to get Terry mclen in the involved in this game and and let's not forget you know Todd BS spoke very highly of Terry McLaren so he knew that he was one of the guys that he had to workable what he's been able to do despite that revolving door at that key position yeah just a Pros Pro and you know that that that's something right there let's just get him the football in his hands let's give him something easy we haven't been able to get him involved in this game Ju Just so he knows we're still we're still aware of him being out there and see if we can build off of that last completion on second down it's Robinson who cuts it back for a first down and Washington on the move down to the Tampa Bay 33 yd line you think about Brian Robinson in the power but you see right there the ability to get back inside on the cut he's very very agile as well and here's that pace that Cliff Kingsbury has employed throughout his career Daniels finding Robinson steps through a tackle Robinson with another cut back weaving to the five diving towards the goal line touchdown Washington one officials got him spotted down at the one the other put his arms in the air they're going to confer and I believe he's going to be spotted short so not a touchdown yet for the commanders yeah but they're going to go quick right here great job by Austin Eckler got a Daniels with the in play in that Landing Zone and and trust their coverage and it's worked out they they've had tackles inside the 30 yd line a couple of times right here gradually kind of build up to that but I I do like the teams that are now allowing the return to become part of the game tight end Kate uton on the reception to the 34 yd line that's the 19th completion thrown by Baker Mayfield who's had a tremendous day comes out to a rousing offensive line immediately upon his arrival last season and now continuing to build that chemistry with Mike Evans and Chris go and they set it up for white Rashad white with blockers in front and a lot of room to ro into Washington territory white knocked out of bounds inside the 35 Cody fcon Graham Barton ushering white down the field but a flag down back on the opposite side of the field near the 38 yd [Applause] line in El receiver downfield offense number 62 5y penalty second down that's Graham Barton negates a 32 yd pickup to Rashad white now we saw a screen play earlier where they had an in so it's going to be the center pick I don't know I I really think on that one the way you look at it right there I think Grant Barton just got a little bit anxious and got down the field because you could see his other players so now replay has gotten involved and replay is saying he was still within the um the yardage needed to stay as an eligible blocker so replays got involved in this and said nope it's a 32 yd gain and a first down to the Washington 35 yeah great job clearing this up so watch your Center so they're at what is that the 32 and a halfers we're good we're good first down and 10 off the play fake Mayfield wants the screen again and he throws that one out of bounds looking for Irving with Don Payne rushing and our
