in today's matchup so let me know it's not CJ strout a lot of the starters won't be playing who are you looking for who are you looking for I see a British Brooks maybe a British Brooks kayin Bullock I don't the the some of the starters aren't playing but since kayin Bullock is a rookie will he be playing hoping to see a lot of DP from dime yeah Damen Pierce he's got a lot to prove he's got a lot to prove if he wants to make this team if he wants to be a contributor on this team because so far during preseason the other running backs have definitely been outplaying him so far the other running backs have been outplaying him to this point so I want to see what Damen Pierce has JJ Taylor from htown Tony he's been looking great as well same with British Brooks same with jaar Jordan same with Cam Acres I want to see Kamari Lasser as well realist one here the the locksmith I want to see him in action he looked pretty good up against Cooper cup now Cooper cup got the best of him on a couple plays but still it's you know it's Cooper cup he was a triple crown win winner he's a great wide receiver in his own right but I think Kamari ler going up against him going up against Stefon Diggs Nico Collins tank Dell in practice all throughout the preseason and training camp that's going to 100% payoff during the regular season and help him out it's going to make him a much better player when it comes down to the nitty-gritty during the regular season almost want to put Acres at rb2 says toxic redhead you're not alone a lot of Texans fans like what they see out of Cam acres and are more leaning towards cam Acres being the guy at rb2 because Damen Pierce hasn't been amazing so far as the rb2 we'll get into more questions here in just a moment and I want to hear from you folks if Keenum on today's show but I'll be I'm going to be looking out for quite a few guys on today's game I mean even though there's some starters that won't be playing I have some guys that I am really going to be looking out for in today's matchup first up Xavier Hutchinson the wide receiver I I still think he's fighting for a roster spot even though he's played magnificently throughout the preseason throughout training camp I think Xavier hutchon still fighting for that last wide receiver spot you have tank Dell Nico Collins Stefan Diggs you have John mie you have Noah Brown who's that six guy is it Ben scanic is it Xavier Hutchinson is it stevenh Sims is it I know a lot of you say no is it Robert Woods so let me know who you're looking out for one of the guys I'm looking out for is Xavier Hutchinson another guy rookie Blake Fisher out of Notre Dame the offensive tackle has been stepping in a ton for this Texans team so far laremy tonsil you know had that you know knee scope surgery that non-invasive knee surgery this offseason so they've been working him in slowly and slowly Blake Fisher's been getting a ton of reps at left tackle and then even Titus Howard had a little bit of an injury this off season also got injured a little bit during training camp as well so Blake fiser he's been a true swing tackle he's been stepping in on the left side he's been stepping in on the right side so Blake fiser is somebody who I'm going to be keeping an eye out for because I think Nick cerio Deo Ryan they said hey we don't want what happened last year to happen this year where all the offensive linemen got injured and there was really no good depth behind the top guys now that you add a guy like Blake Fischer if you do need to move some people around I think he's a pretty decent tackle option for this Texans team running backs the whole running back room Damen Pierce cam Acres I talked about it earlier um I don't know if we moved over depth charts but it okay yeah if we could go to the running back depth chart real quick I mean these guys are fighting for their life besides Joe Mixon honestly everybody in this wide or running back depth chart they're fighting for their life besides Joe Mixon I mean Damen Pierce cam Acres agumba W ja uh jaar Jordan JJ Taylor British Brooks they're all looking to make this roster and the only one I think is a certain lock is Joe Mixon I mean I think cam acres is is a decent lock I I'd like to think Damen Pierce is a lock jaar Jordan you drafted him JJ Taylor he's looked really good during training camp in the preseason British Brooks has looked really good and then a gumba wall is somebody who really helps you out in special teams so who's going to make this team as a running back I'm not sure I think a lot is going to come down to you know this final week of practice in this game so I really want to see Damen Pierce get some run today even though you know he's been listed as the rb2 all off SE I I want to see him fighting for his roster spot today in today's game I mentioned a lot of the starters are going to be sitting out I don't know if kin Bullock is one of them but I want to see more of kin bulock as well because the rookie safety out of USC has been impressing a ton he looked great in joint practice up against the Rams and with them playing Jaylen Petri Jimmy Ward close to the line of scrimmage in the slot kind of at that you know strong safety position and letting kayin Bullock Eric Murray play the free safety play The Deep safety position I want to see more of kayin bulock I want to see what he's got he's been impressing the coaching staff a lot and I think the reason why the Texans didn't go after a guy like Justin Simmons is because they felt comfortable in their third round draft pick kayin bulock so I want to see him play a little bit today as well and lastly I've said it before and I'll say it again respect the British Brook Brooks because I think he has somewhat of a shot but the udfa that I think has the best chance to make this final 53 man roster is Max Tuli and I'll say it again and again the linebacker out of BYU he played there for six years he was really good at BYU for the Cougars I think he has a shot to make this roster especially with Christian Harris I don't know what's going on with him and his injury he still has that soft tissue injury so it's it's still to be seen whether or not he'll be good to go for week one but I think this linebacking room is wide open behind a ziz Al Shire you have Henry Toto who you drafted early out of Alabama last year then you have what Jacob Phillips you have delhon Phillips it's really kind of like a mix smash kind of like I said with the running back room I don't know which linebackers make this roster behind a z Al Shire who they want as their depth pieces but should be interesting for you know this game at least to see which linebackers really step up who are you watching out for today let me know down in the comments section who are you looking at today I saw a lot of British Brooks I saw a lot of JJ Taylor earlier as well so maybe it's one of those guys maybe we have to see Damen needs to rush like 10 or 15 uh yards from Forever broken records he's got to he's got to break off a couple runs he's got to look a a lot better than he has in the past toxic redneck says the defensive tackles yeah that's a good point I Mario Edwards Jr has looked pretty good he's going to be the one who's starting in place of um of a guy in Deno ay who is suspended for the first six games so interesting to see how the defensive tackles play Khalil Davis has played really well as well so I think looking at this defensive tackle room looking at the defensive tackles I think could be you know a good sign for the regular season I think they have their top guys fully F aasi Mario Edwards Jr khil Davis I think is that next guy I'm not sure behind that you have Marcus Harris who you drafted late you have Tim settle who you signed in for re agency Kurt hes or Kurt heines I don't know I don't know let's go to a little predict the score for him yeah we can do that we can do that that sounds good so in Cowboys and woods to the Lions I mean I wouldn't be surprised if it's because they they want to trade these guys and they don't want to them to get injured but if they're not trading them that's report Christian Harris has been on the injury report for a while he's my answer for the guy who worries me the most laremy tunel coming back from that knee injury as well Titus Howard as well let me know what injury worries you the most for the Houston Texans I think it's easily Christian Harris he's supposed to have a huge impact for this Texans defense this year Eli Hill I agree I want to see Jeff okuda I agree I want to see more Jeff okuda what Texans injury worries you the most it would be Christian Harris by far the Texans they put a lot of faith in Christian Harris going into this season to be that starting linebacker and we haven't seen him at all during training camp or the pre-season I mean he looked really good at the end of last year haven't seen him though so it's a little it's a little worrying in my opinion because I just I don't know I I want I want to think he's okay but as a Texans fan I've been burned in the past with guys like will Fuller who have had soft tissue injuries and they keep on reappearing reappearing Bryan duza is the Colts game in Houston the first week Colts game I have to look at it off the top of my head I think it's in Indie let me see yeah it's in Indie they're away week one they are away week one I thought it was but I wanted to be fully confident will all Fuller oh my will Fuller was great when he was healthy when he was healthy
