The Texans Must Do This To Beat The Bears On Sunday Night Football

this is a war this is we're we're talking about a you know war and this is right now the sub battle that we're in and we're going to eventually win the war but I want to win this battle too so help me with somebody who was cooking in week one and I want him to continue to cook in week two in one Sergio Mixon the one of the new additions to the Texans offense this past off season they traded for him from the Cincinnati Bengals and he showed up and showed out in week one 30 carries 159 yards in a tutty and he hit that sick inzone dance just dancing on him flexing on him Joe Mixon looked fantastic and if you watched my show last week whenever I said the Texans were going to shock the NFL I said they were going to be a much much more balanced offense than a lot of people thought and what happened in week one they toted the rock with Joe Mixon 30 times and he hit that ah ah Sy In The End Zone I mean look he's having the time of his life with the Houston Texans so the first key to victory for this game up against the Chicago Bears you have to let him build on that week one performance continue to feed him he is a Bell cow back he is going to be a guy that you can really just hand off the ball hand off the ball let him wear down defenses and then let's see J strad beat them over the top so my question to you folks at home over under 100 rushing yards for Joe Mixon this week he got over 100 last week will he get over the century mark again in week two let me know type O for o over Type U for under what do we thinking week two will Joe Mixon build on that performance I really hope so because he was electric up against the Colts in week one now let's go into the next key to Victory St crowd continue to protect the rock he did a good job of this in week one and you know going into week two I really want to see him continue that and obviously he he's had no problems with that in his career as we look at the week one stats the the matchup between CJ strout and Caleb Williams obviously strout had a much better day than Caleb Williams in week one 24 of 32 234 passing yards two tutes no Picks 11 15.9 quarterback rating and 13 rush yards for one Mr CJ stra my second key to victory for the Houston Texans team Mak sure stad is able to have time and he can protect the ball like he does really good and I mean the stat from last year NFL record to start an NFL career for a rookie 192 passes without an interception so if anybody can protect the rock I do think it's CJ St he does a really good job of that and I want to continue to see him take care of the football make sure I mean this Bears defense that's how they won in week one they were able to get will Levis to throw multiple interceptions got multiple turnovers from that Titans team so if the Texans can take care of the ball don't give the Chicago Bears defense any opportunities to get pick sixes get the ball in plus territory for that bears offense that struggled in week one that is a key contain Caleb Williams Because you know this is a guy at USC loved making plays loved extending the plays and honestly week two you got to make Caleb Williams feel like a masseuse alone with deshun Watson you got to make him feel uncomfortable because as a rookie in this league you don't want him to have any comfortability going into week two I got producer coup on that one he's loving that joke um you got to take away any comfortability that he has and he's most comfortable as weird as this sounds escaping the pocket and extending plays he's really good at you know buying time buying time and slinging The Rock downfield so I expected moo Ryan in my third key to Victory to make it difficult for Caleb Williams to get going we saw Anthony Richardson able to escape a little bit a little bit of you know he didn't have a ton of rushing yards but was able to kind of evade the pocket here and there I really do expect Will Anderson Jr denil Hunter I know they want to pin their ears back and get after Caleb Williams and I expect them to do that but also as a defensive end in this matchup you have to contain you have to keep the pocket if you rush up field and you let that tackle take you up field and let Caleb Williams escape the pocket that's when he makes his big plays so I expect Amo Ryan a defensive minded head coach to know this and say hey denil Hunter hey uh Will Anderson whoever the outside linebackers are if we're sending a blitz we cannot let Caleb Williams escape the pocket if he's going to beat us have it be from inside the pocket but you can't let him go out and extend plays and with his fingernails all painted go out and running around everywhere like he's in the middle of a daisy field you can't let that happen you got to keep him in the pocket and you have to make him like I said earlier uncomfortable now let's go into key number four for this Texans team you got to defend the Deep ball a little bit better and I'm looking at the safety room right here because last week it was not it was not good it was not good at all and I just want to say with how it was against the Colts the defense looked fantastic in my opinion they looked really good and the only Achilles heal for this Texans defense was the Deep ball the Texans they gave up three passes of 50 plus yards up against the Colts in week one Richardson has 212 passing yards yards that's I mean at least 150 of his passing yards were on three plays up against the Houston Texans he was nine of 19 11.2 yards per attempt he had two touchdowns and one pick to rookie kayin bulck but I mean for the most part this Texans defense was dominant they looked incredible the front seven they were stopping Jonathan Taylor they weren't letting Anthony Richardson run the ball a ton the only thing that came that allowed the uh Colts to score was the Deep ball and the one blocked punt so really the key to Victory number four is you got to address the Deep ball issues on this defense you cannot let teams take the top off this defense after you've done so much good work keeping the running game in check keeping the receivers you know on those short and intermediate routes in check and you let a stupid deep ball go behind you on a jump ball you cannot let that happen so in this week I really expect Matt Burke defensive coordinator and Deo Ryan to sit down and say hey how are we going to fix this how are we going to make sure it doesn't happen again where a quarterback is able to get three long bombs on us in one week now I have one more key to Victory but I want to hear from you folks at home fingernails I need you to get loud and crazy out there but at the same time CJ strout said this in the preseason so I'll preach it to you I'll pass along the message to you go nuts when the Texans are on defense when the Texans are on offense be a little bit more quiet be a little sh be a little sh because that's the one thing CJ Stout said in the preseason he said I love our fans they were going wild up against the Cleveland Browns in that playoff game but when we're on offense we we might want to tone it down just a little bit hey save your energy say save it go balls of the Wall go crazy when the Texans are on defense when they're on offense obviously cheer when a good play happens but when they're trying to get it going when they're trying to get the offense moving maybe quiet it
