especially way teams are going to play us you know we need those guys to come up big in these situations and you know for the most part they did yeah it's nice being back playing ball but you know this one stings a little bit spe drive you had you know get out of the sa get the third yeah I would say that's accurate since the injury yeah yeah I thought I played fast and decisive today obviously got to hold on to the ball you know that one was disappointing gifted them six points so that was frustrating uh yeah we didn't do enough to win the game today so you know we got a lot to fix there m gotta get better yeah that's kind of you know how they're playing us and kind of what I expected coming in we knew they were going to double number one uh and so we needed those guys to step up and you know they did Big Time Players making big time plays they made more today um yeah there were a couple things that one obviously really hurt us so that was frustrating that I put us in that position I thought we did a lot of good things but obviously the three turnovers just can't happen um the first interception I got to find the backside linebacker and I mean the kid made a great play on the uh the the second pick um but I'm glad we we played um not as clean as we wanted to and still found a way to win that speaks to the defense and the full entire team um but obviously we got to clean up a lot of stuff on offense um as we go forwarding obviously yeah no um obviously they're going to get in that kind of fence defense at the at the sticks and so my job is to buy time for guys to get down field um I was able to do that um as I scrambled to the left I saw RI open I knew it was going to be contested but you got to put the ball up um and Rashi tried did a great job of trying to get the ball um I haven't seen the replay or anything but it felt like the DU Kang was was there pretty early um and uh we got the flag um but I you got to give guys chances in those situations and that's what that's what we did and just mindset wise I mean you've been in so many of these precarious situations before every figure out a way uh 100% I mean I I think until you don't have the time hit zero I feel like there's a chance you can win the football game and um obviously we've done that in so many different ways and so we're we're prepared um we we come in with that mentality that if we get the football with the chance to win the game we're going to do it um and we were able to do that today what kind of problems he's just he's just an absolute monster man I mean like he just like his motor um the way he's able to rush the passer I'm remember playing him in in New Orleans he was like that and you got the Cincinnati's been like that um but um he did a great job today man he he's great against a run in the past um kind of underrated guy um but uh I mean it was it was a good test for us and we to get better for it yeah I mean just just keep playing man you're they not always going to have your perfect day I mean I didn't have a perfect day today um but just like any other great player you have to trust in your abilities you have to learn from it um you have to have that mentality I'm going to come and get better uh this next next week um but I have all the trust in the world um that he's going to keep getting better and better and and and be a guy that I can really count on every single game last week in this week what what are you seeing from opposing defense and trying to take Travis kelse yeah I know they're doing a great job of just kind of having two people for them I mean pretty much the entire game um that's why you've seen guys like Rashid and and uh worthy I if you look at the first touchdown I'm actually looking to Trav in the backside safety goes all the way across the field to to to help guard Travis and then and you throw the the ball down the siline to Rashid that's kind of what they've been they've been doing and obviously we played two opponents we've played a lot um so they have a they have a plan on how they're going to account for Travis um but as the season goes on I mean he's going to get his catches he's going to get his yards um but the leader that he is what's special is he's hyping everybody up he's keeping everybody motivated and that's what you need are your great players no-brainers is a tough word to use there um you know you're you're but you just feel like we got to take advantage of those opportunities and and Mike did a great job I mean Joe did a great job finding Mike on that first fourth down the line an excellent job on the protection on the fourth and goal you know we we got in a situation um you know where Drew is getting an IV and so we're in the goal line and there's a lot of a lot of Drew stuff and they were playing heavy people so it was challenging like it always is down there and uh glad that our guys found a way to battle and get that touchdown you'll have to ask him he's done a great job in training camp you know and so there's always a role for these guys that early on um show that it's not not too big for him and and so that's what we expect from dejon and and uh so again proud of those young guys for taking advantage of the opportunity what is your message it's okay to be emotional you know I I'm not in the middle of it I'm not in the middle of it so I can't see everything that's said or done um so it's it's better that I don't comment straight down the sideline unbelievable one hand a pick who's in a great position um he's got incredible ball skills that's something that's shown up since probably was in high school Point quarterback and uh showed up on his tape at Nebraska he makes those plays all the time had a ton of picks last year and so that's that's what we expect from cam I mean a lot of so much is made of last week's passing game is Joe we're in great shape okay and so Joe played like we expect our passing game to perform so yeah not a lot of opportunities came his way but he did his job he made a huge play for us to start that half um and so you know proud of the way that he's he's continue to progress that's just our expectation is you know this that's how we've always been a good Red Zone team that's put the ball in there's been times where got I think 20 straight possessions scoring touchdowns of the Red Zone you know over the last couple years so um our expectation is to get seven points in there it didn't always work out that way in a game like this that can often times be the difference holding them to three or us getting getting that touchdown we knew was going to come down I thought our defense did a great job early on making them kick a field goal and and so again there there was a lot of things that we did well y'all have to watch that one last two years out yeah we've been here before unfortunately and so we know what this feels like we know it's a long season we know we can get ourselves out of it stick together um get our emotions in check with an extra day this week come back ready to play great game in front of our crowd I expect to be a great crowd it's all I mean anytime you're going to play a team that's won three of the last four Super Bowls it's going to be a challenge and not everything's going to be perfect and you got to be ready to grind out some adversity and I thought our guys did a great job graning out some rity I didn't think there was ever time where they just had outstanding momentum anytime they got some momentum I thought the other unit did a good job rising up and taking the pressure off and so again I was I was really I'm disappointed that we lost the game but that doesn't mean I'm disappointed with with our players and how they played and and where we're going to go for a team uh as we move forward we just appreciate how he goes about his business and as good a kicker as he is he's even a better person so I appreciate him uh all the way around and arza jumped in and had a big punt right there at the end which was great to see um at a very important time and then the tackles by uh Bolton and tranquil and J Reed I mean they they were the the leaders in that area um and the turnover with the touchdown ends up being huge to Dana and uh Wharton um on the fumble there so and then uh I mean this can go on Pacho had a big day 19 carries for 90 yards five receptions for 21 yards so busy day there um rice again had a nice day there Patrick always has a good comes through in the in the clutch he had some big our best plays were called back but they were they it was a great job by him as we went so what do we learn from this turnovers they kill you they don't give you they very seldom give you an opportunity to win the game so if you come out with a win with three turnovers that's a that's a plus but we got to take care of business there and then penalties uh when you're all of these things on the plus side of the field those end up being points whether it's a field goal or or whether it's a touchdown those are points so we got to make sure we take care of business uh with that and improve and we had some young guys uh that that end up with some of these penalties and they'll learn from it and um Kingsley uh had he was going against arguably one of the best defensive ends in the in the league it would be a great experience that he can put away and hear and learn from and uh and I end up taking him out of the game sometimes you got to take a step back to take a step forward so and and um you know so w came in and did a nice job now he had he also had a penalty there but uh very suem are you going to get a guy like that right there that you're playing against and what you want to do is learn from it and and move forward so anyways with that time yours yeah I was like uh I feel more comfortable around the 32 so um and in but he yeah he he could have made yeah I i' normally when you're at the 3540 somewhere in that area you're pretty confident that he's going to he's going to drill it hello everybody Welcome in here to the truth serum Joey the truth Wagner with you thank you so much for being with us doesn't the Bengals win he a good kicker too it's a 51 y buter wins it for Kansas City and folks it was not pretty at all for the Steelers 136 there Kansas City edging out the Bangals by a single point everybody we'll make sure you have the postgame press conferences for both of these games but how about that Steelers defense that Steelers defense is something else you can't do squat against them can't do anything against them the Broncos did not reach the end zone B knck struggled might I put Russell Wilson in next week for cincin excuse me for Denver Rather B Nick struggled mightily uh if you include the last play of the game Bon Nick's finishing with he was 20 of 35 246 yards he threw two picks he was sacked twice he honestly should have been sacked more he was under duress all game long the Broncos only averaged 3.4 yards a carry running the football they could not do anything nothing yor did Fields Fields only had 117 through the air 13 of 21 17 through the air he only had 16 yards passing in the second half yeah I think I put Russell R the offense was not the reason why the Steelers won this game it was nowhere close it was the defense being great and Chris BOS well kicking the living crap out of the football again two more field goals today one of them a 53 y Chris Boswell outscored the Denver team by himself two touchdowns I'm sorry two extra points was a field goal Chris Boswell seven points Denver had six and that's pretty much at least didn't what this game came down to but Patrick Mahomes does it again another classic between burrow and the Chiefs that game was going back and forth all second half long it was ugly for momes he only had 151 yards passing but he won two touchdowns two picks but he won burrow was typical burrow against momes but today it came up a point short in the Kansas City game and Denver came up a touchdown short against the Pittsburgh Steelers also going on in the 4M action Arizona beat the living crap out of the Rams as well everybody but our next Steeler stream will be next Sunday 1 pm charger Steelers first home game of the year for the black and gold and it doesn't get any better than going 2 and0 to start your year with two wins on the road that's huge
