welcome back to another episode of the evene Dynasty show thanks for joining everyone if you're watching on YouTube or if you're listening on Spotify appreciate you guys um have a lot of big news coming from the Giants this week uh the bad news obviously they lost two of three to the Marlins uh effectively putting the nail in the coffin on the season they are now two games under 500 with an absolutely brutal stretch in September needing to make up I I'm not even sure what the standings are right now I think they're like seven back or six back way more in the Lost column I mean it's it's pretty much done on this season and the focus needs to turn to um just figuring out what you have in some of these young guys uh but we're gonna talk about a lot of the good things with the minor leagues this week and the big news for the Giants especially out of their minor leagues this week was that Bryce Eldridge was promoted to dable a now we're going to go into a big Bryce Eldridge segment on our live show on Thursday with Dan and Ricky so you know put mark your calendars put a you know click the bell for notifications whatever we'll go live on Thursday night I don't know what time yet um it'll probably be you know 8:30ish to n9ine o'clock start time that's normally about when we start so uh you know be ready for that I am planning on joining on uh Dan over on NorCal Sports Network tomorrow night still so that that's still my plan uh so you catch me over there tomorrow night um but other than that we're gonna we're going to do a big talk on the miners today and we'll talk a bit about eldridge's promotion to doublea but I'm saving the bulk of that and I have a nice little surprise to play during the Bryce Eldridge segment on Thursday so definitely gonna want to tune into that uh but starting off with the Sacramento rivercats they went 4-2 versus Las Vegas they are now 71- 61 on the season um number three Prospect Carson wizen hunt they're getting his pitch count back up he went four and twoth thirds Innings an ear one earned run five hits a walk six strikeouts he continues to pitch well at home through 77 pitches 53 for strikes uh number 13 Prospect Trevor McDonald uh has struggled his last two starts continues three and twoth thirds Innings pitched five earned runs seven hits two walks two strikeouts uh number 16 Prospect Wade meckler had that huge week against Tacoma a couple weeks ago he's kind of fallen off since then three for 21 a triple a double three walks and five strikeouts number 24 Prospect Carson Seymour went five and two3 innings an earned run three hits three walks five strikeouts did throw 92 pitches 57 for strikes uh he's actually been throwing the ball pretty well I feel like about the last month or so he's had a lot of good outings like this one um as well as you know his his bad outings he's been able to kind of limit the damage and not be like really bad still putting up up a pretty quality outing overall um not sure what his future might be in San Francisco I still think it's unlikely here um but he may you know turn into a nice little trade piece in the off season uh Marco lucianos continuing to play pretty well seven for 20 with a home run two walks and six strikeouts he and Matos who went eight for 22 with a home run two doubles two walks and two strikeouts they were kind of the big shocks that neither guy was one of the players they brought up for the um TW you know they the expanded rosters in September you know they were allowed to bring up two more players The rosters go from 26 to 28 you can bring up one pitcher and one position player Tristan Beck really wasn't all that surprising I had to think he was probably going to be coming sooner or later or sooner than later um but Blake Sable was the guy and I get the argument you know third catcher bayley's been tired which is why he's struggling you know whatever excuses they want to make for that but it's kind of ridiculous to come out and say oh Luciano and Matos aren't really playing well enough to force the issue for them to be up but then Blake Sable in the same breath is the guy that you bring up because Blake Sable's been horrible in Sacramento this season and I I know some of us like him for what he did last season at the major league level but last season is last season if we're going off last season you know Wilmer Flores would have been one of the better players in baseball this season but he's not and Blake Sable's been bad in Sacramento he he could not hit this season in a very hitter friendly league and and I mean he's hit worse than Matos and Luciano in the same league so it's just kind of it's just terrible logic path and it's just makes zero sense from this organization bring up one of those guys let them get some good playing time down the stretch when you're not really playing for much other than Pride at this point and figuring out what you have in some of your young players um but that's just how I feel about it so moving on to David VR who went one for 18 with four walks and seven strikeouts uh Dan and I kind of when we did our 40 man roster you know going through it on the last live um VR is a guy I think is very likely to get moved this off season uh he's going to probably get a fresh start start somewhere else and it'll be good for him and I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up being a really good player somewhere else but I just don't see the future in San Francisco at this point um but you know could shock us maybe he's around in spring training and if he has a great spring there's always a chance uh Hunter Bishop he's finally gotten going last week he had a good week this week six for 22 a home run which came uh which was a two-run home run that tied a game where they were down I think five coming into the ninth inning a few nights ago so big home run two doubles two walks and eight strikeouts strikeouts are still a bit high but um overall he's starting to hit the ball again which is a good sign uh moving on over to Richmond they went two and four versus eie 57 and 69 on the season they did just get a lot more interesting for the last two weeks of their season um but they do have some nice prospects still down there uh number 15 Prospect Diego Velasquez six for 20 a walk five strikeouts not been showing much power not a lot of extra base hits since he's moved up to double a but he is hitting he's hitting over 300 at that level right now so that's a really positive sign he's never going to be a big Power guy I'd like to see some more stolen bases and him imp impacting the game that way uh but the defense is still really solid out of him and he still hits which is a good sign number 19 Prospect Jack Cho had a rough outing four and two thirds Innings five earned runs four hits two walks five strikes outs uh hyro pomares he did return from seems like a minor injury because he played one game last week and then only played one game this week but he did go over five with a strikeout uh Victor baroto two for 14 did hit a grand slam three walks three strikeouts that home run was his 10th on the Year big drop off from the 270 hit last season but he has two more weeks maybe he can pop a few more out um but still like the power potential is just kind of struggled this season hasn't really figured out double A which is an extremely tough environment to hit in um it'll be very interesting to see how long the Giants keep Eldridge there because with some of their bigger prospects they've tried to move them through double a pretty quick um maybe to try and avoid you know their confidence being destroyed or whatever the reason might be but if if Eldridge can really dominate that level that's going to be a really good thing to see uh will Bednar went one inning no earned runs zero Z hits zero walks and zero strikeouts just one clean inning um good sign from him that's two straight outings he's had where he's looked pretty solid he was possibly the worst pitcher in the in the entire system for about a six week stretch there where every single week it was like you know two or three Innings and giving up five runs and things like that I mean it was just rough um hopefully he's turning the corner I've said it a bunch of times I'll continue to say it the stuff is not the problem it's the command because he has big league stuff his stuff is really good can get outside of the bullpen he just you know struggles to throw strikes at times and then gets in gets himself into positions where he's you know throwing stuff out over the heart of the plate and uh I don't care how good your stuff is you're not gonna be successful doing that uh Eugene emeralds they went two and four versus Everett they are now 57 and 68 on the season uh number one Prospect Bryce Eldridge we'll start it off with him uh 11 for 20 five home runs four doubles four walks five strikeouts I'm not GNA go all the way down the rabbit hole of his numbers in Eugene but I'm pretty sure I saw something posted the other day that was essentially you know Bryce Eldridge just had like the one of the best high a seasons in like the last 20 years um as a teenager he's posting a historic season of as far as the 2st Century goes as far as Seasons coming out of a Teenage Prospect in the minor leagues I mean he has 22 homers on the year 86 RBI he's hitting I think 293 with like a 930 Ops or something like that I mean this is absurd what he's doing at 19 years old and it's exciting and I I know we all want to see him as soon as possible I'm a big believer and let the play dictate how fast he moves up I'm not trying to force him up fast and I feel like there are some people that want do that um I'm a little more cautious with a lot of these guys but I'm not GNA just hold him back to hold him back he clearly showed he was too good for high they're getting him to double a I love that he's gonna get two weeks there it's a little cup of coffee he's probably not gonna get a ton out of this experience but it is a good reward for a guy that said before the season that his goal was to reach doua so big kudos to Bryce Aldridge excited to see him in da next season you know if he really forces the issue and he's great in da I'm not going to say to hold him back though so like don't get that part Twisted I I just don't want to force this guy up to the majors before he might be ready but if his play dictates him going up there then by all means do it uh number two prospect James tibs III he is on one heck of a skid in high a he went over 23 with two walks and nine strikeouts I think he has one hit um in high I don't know how many bats he's at so far I think he's one for 41 if my math is correct I mean he's he's putting up some pretty rough numbers right now down there but I do have faith that he's gonna figure it out at the very least he went to aball he dominated aball and he got himself to ha that part is a is a success I'd hope he can get some hits and have a decent week this week though probably be good for him just confidence wise uh Number Six Prospect Joe Whitman did not Pitch he's on the iil I still have not been able to figure out the injury there uh number 12 Prospect Aon artiaga six for 25 a triple double uh two walks eight strikeouts and two stolen bases uh number 17 Prospect Trent Harris uh through two innings no earned runs one hit four strikeouts still looking really good he'll probably start in double A next season I would anticipate and I think he's G move quick I think you might see him in the majors next season but we will see uh Jon uh number 23 Prospect Jonah Cox did not play also unspecified injury haven't been able to figure that one out either uh number 29 Prospect O'Neal Perez two for 11 a walk Three strikeouts uh savine sabios seven for 21 two home runs three doubles three walks and three strikeouts continues to hit the ball really hard um credit to Farhan that's looked like a pretty decent little pickup in that Jorge Solair trade so um I'll give varhan a little credit I'm always objective I'm always trying to be fair so I will give far hung credit where I feel it's due and I will criticize where I feel he deserves it and I will definitely give him credit for that pickup so far looks like a sneaky good little player uh Charlie SC two for 18 a double to strikeouts and then Quinn McDaniel went kind of the full Quinn McDaniel experience nine for 19 two doubles a walk five strikeouts and three stolen bases at least the strikeouts were down a little bit walks were or the the stolen bases were up the hits were up that was a lot of positives out of McDaniel this week uh still a very tool Z player and then San Jose we had some good exciting stuff there a couple prospects and recent draft picks showing up there this week uh number four Prospect Dakota Jordan oh I'm sorry they went three and three versus Rancho kukamonga they are now 71 and 54 on the season I can't read my own handwriting um number four Prospect Dakota Jordan 0 for seven two strikeouts and a stolen base um you know only played in two games I'm not gonna overreact so number eight Prospect Walker Martin five for 18 a double six walks six strikeouts in a stolen base he has settled in a bit strikeouts are starting to come down a little bit um you know he's going to have to make adjustments in the off season as a whole I'd love I think he's a big fall league candidate I think it' be beneficial to him unless they're going to like overhaul his swing mechanics but I think he just needs to keep playing like that's a big thing for him but he he will likely be in San Jose again next season uh number 18 Prospect Jacob bresnahan three Innings pitch three earned runs two hits three walks two strikeouts uh number 20 Prospect Robert hipwell went four for 17 with a home run I'm sorry four for 19 with a home run two Stone uh two doubles and I'm sorry two walks and 10 strikeouts uh strikeouts were a bit high this week but overall he's shown some nice power it was his fourth home run in San Jose uh since his you know since he joined the team after the draft this season so he's not been up very long and he's he's showing some good power uh number 21 Prospect Jacob Christian three for 10 a walk two strikeouts got our first look at him um nice to see him rack up a couple hits last week uh number 28 Prospect Josh bosk five innings pitched zero earned three hits a walk seven strikeouts and then Ryan reckley uh two for four a double and a strikeout only played in one game as well and then lzb Bel Diaz continues to have a nice season um he's continued to improve um pretty steadily at the high a level since he got the promotion there and he's 7even for with five strikeouts and four stolen bases the stolen bases were a nice little twist this week he hadn't really stolen a ton um since his promotion and he had four in a week which was pretty good uh but that wraps it up for the minor leagues this week as you notice it's the list is getting shorter complex League's done summer summer League's done um I think the playoffs are going to be starting very soon for San Jose I think San Jose and Eugene each have one more week Richmond's got two more weeks and then Sacramento I think might have two more weeks and then the playoffs where it seems like they're likely to play in the playoffs this season for the first time in a few years so some positives there um but we'll continue to put these videos out at least the next couple weeks when everything wraps up we'll probably do a full recap of the minor leagues um this season and we'll we'll do that maybe I'll do that as a show with like Ricky or something and uh but other than that appreciate everyone joining if you enjoy the content please like the video video subscribe to the Channel all the stuff follow me on XY show um and we'll we'll catch you next time see you all on Thursday
