nonsense when you can line up run in between the tackles and nobody lays a hat on your running back for four and five yards that's going to be a good day Boston College by far the most physical team but I'll tell you what this football team has some serious that being in Florida State some serious soul searching uh to do cuz this team could this season could totally go off the rails totally you see their schedule you know it you talked about it before we came on air this is a team that right now is fighting for it not being one of those imploding type of Seasons that absolutely cost all kinds of people some employment yeah it's that level of disaster and Sir Paul is up with us early here Paul Fine bound so Paul our analytics tell us that Florida State now has a 7% chance of making the playoff feels like we should be doing the gimm mo right playoff we're just trying to win a game here Paul what are the right things to say about the seals on this Tuesday morning well that's that's the issue uh people shouldn't be worried about the playoff screening they should be worried about winning a game and trying to save the season I don't think they can uh Lewis is 100% correct in what he said last night this season is over I know that sounds like I'm going crazy here I'm not uh this is a team that we were told deserved to be in the playoffs last year and certainly was going to be in the playoffs this year and they're not going to they can't do anything right they can't go anywhere they have no one else to blame I'm I'm sure somebody down there is saying who can we sue the only the only people to blame are are themselves and I I hate to I hate to be critical of Mike norvel someone I'm a big fan of but he's done a miserable job of getting this team ready to go he must have been spending the offseason listening to all the fans belly aing about why they deserve to be in last year instead of Alabama well here they are uh there's suddenly an easy win on on most team schedule and we thought they were going to be a formidable opponent they're not they're terrible it is startling and and to that point I mean you start 0 and two by the way both games L anyone isn't aware are in the conference I mean Georgia Tech and Boston College so you can't lose two worst games in this double digit favorites with everything in the world to play for right they want to come out and show the world we got you know left out last year we should they had every reason in the world to start this season fast Jack listen embarrassing that that's the best way to describe this start and you think about in college you have I mean I'm not going to say they're rubber stamped as wins but you had these two going down as we're going to get our feet under us we're going to figure ourselves out you got physically whipped and again we can talk about the mistakes they made it's not a mistake when somebody lines up runs between the tackles and just physically imposes their will on you and what Paul is saying and tell me how you really feel Paul which is never a problem for you this we're worried about last year last year is gone bro all them guys are gone they've gone on whoever whoever's on their squad they got to make plays nobody for this team team is answering the Bell that's a major issue and that's where the soul searching comes in well you get run on for 263 tonight you know I didn't put them in a in a a position to to Showcase what I believe that this football team is um and it's it's extremely disappointing and you know I apologize to to our to our fans apologize to to everybody associated with the program I mean that was um you know extremely disappointing that um we're not better Mike norvell's second apology in two games that's not a good Trend uh we bring in our man Paul fbom to talk about this one it there was no fluke Paul I mean BC uh LED from the get-go they outgained them they they manhandled them physically on the fronts how bad is this right now for Florida State this is a program shattering loss for this season I mean it's almost inconceivable David to think about where this program was on selection Sunday in December uh thinking that they were in the playoffs and then going to all the different courses that they tried to take to get back in it which they couldn't of course and then and then every every ever since then it's been a disaster they lost by 60 points to Georgia and the Orange Bowl doublin two weeks ago and and this was what everyone thought was the bounce back okay let's put all that behind us let's have a good game on a prime time uh Standalone night and it it got worse and and we are sitting here the sun is not even up in most of the country on September 3rd David and this season is over for Florida State there's no getting around it that's not how hyperbolizing that is that is just the truth of the matter because you can't you really can't come back from this I mean they're 0 and2 in the ACC and they haven't even seen a good team yet in terms of what they they'll have to face in their own conference you just try to wrap your head around it Paul me that number 10 team in the land coming in preseason polls this may be the last time we talk about Florida State All Season it may be just completely done for them yeah and and and and I I want to compliment uh Boston College certainly uh they they they came to play and and they they they performed extremely well just like Georgia Tech is and I think some of us thought it that's what happened in Dublin maybe it was more about the
