alongside Alex we have made it to the First full Saturday of college football not without some uh infuriating beats thank you Troy Taylor last night what are you doing what are you doing uh costing the under costing some Stanford ingame as well just ridiculous but that's college football for us Alex I don't want to talk about that new day feels like Chistmas we've got a um Full Slate of college football and I'm excited to uh break it all down and we will have a we'll have a fun go of it here today as always uh Sean drog and the back will uh will follow along with us along with you guys all at home real quick behind us here at the First Team To Score a TD Prop Bet south point you can bet the first team to score a touchdown in the 9:00 a.m. games remember as Vinnie reminded us yesterday that is by time of game it does not matter if pit scores a touchdown at 9:04 a.m. Pacific time if Virginia Tech scores a touchdown at the 1258 Mark and pit scores it at the 1201 Mark you get paid on Virginia Tech not pit it's all time of game not based off of the uh time of day so remember that and of course which college football team will be the highest scoring team of the day Alex white not involving the extra games on the board uh I have a feeling they're going to be taking some money on Ohio State today going up against akan oh let's take a look at these numbers here 3 to one on Ohio State your favorite oh that is team to score first touchdown okay no that's uh well that's both of them Alex that's both both the the most points and uh no that's the most points for Ohio State uh the uh the first touchdown favorite is pit actually of all teams at 3 to one all right let's uh let's get into this let's start with Fi and Indiana right out of the gate and FIU vs Indiana this is a game that Chris Andrews told us is getting hit and it's getting hit to the favorite here Alex white up to 24 points now on the homestanding hooers and a total of 52 completely understand where the betters are coming from really high hopes here in Indiana with Signet coming in from James Madison he was very successful there 52 and9 brings over both coordinators and uh quite a few athletes with him 13 James Madison transfers I do expect them to come out pretty hot today but on the flip side I mean there's a lot of upside for FIU right now um Mike McIntyre has been a successful head coach before at San Jose um but the quarterback situation is a little bit more questionable here at FIU very turnover prone as a freshman um and I expect Indiana's defense to be pretty good not a number I want to lay this early on in the board but I am excited for Indiana and if you made me play it that's the way I would with the favorite so of course New Era Indiana uh Signet comes over from James Madison basically transfer portal as butd Elliot uh brought up when he was on the show with us a few weeks ago it is just a whole bunch of elite Sun Belt guys in on a big 10 roster uh except for the quarterback uh Curtis roor who uh of course we saw at Ohio uh comes over for Indiana to be their starting quarterback this year again I'll be I'm always a little bit tepid on these games that have these roaring movements on the favored week one always a little bit tepid uh I don't I think fu is terrible personally I I think they're one of the worst teams in the country uh but 24 is a lot of points especially with a totally new look roster so we'll stay off of that but if I'm with Alex it would be a lean to Indiana even at that ridiculous number uh if we were looking there uh let's uh let's keep keep moving UConn Vs Maryland along let's go to Yukon and Maryland next I know what an exciting game there but this has been one that has been hit to the underdog as on this one uh as high as 24 at some spots behind us open 22 down to 19 and a half also Alex this total's been hit three whole points from 48 to 45 on this game I like the under here in this one actually between these two a lot of overreaction well I don't know if it is an over reaction we'll see everybody has an opinion right so no more Tonga bya the younger brother of Tua here at Mar so it is going to be a little bit of a different team but their strength is their defense we saw that last year I think we'll see it again this year um they held teams to just 23.8 points per game on the flip side Connecticut averaged just 19 points per game 120th in the country averaged 136 and a half yards per game that was 90th in the country jimura he is in his third year he is a defensive minded head coach so with all that that I just said strength defense on Maryland Connecticut defensive minded head coach Plus have a nice Trend that we can go with eight of their last nine season openers have gone under that total so under 45 is a play for me um I've got about six totals that I really like that I put together in a round robin so I'll be sharing those throughout the show this is this is in round robin this is in the round robin this is in the round robin Alex for people that may be listening to us for the first time want to just explain what around Robin is to everyone out there so around Robin is like a parlay but you have a better shot because you are going to go from from pick about four to six teams right and put them all together and then you will tie them up however many ways you want so of those six if I did the three I need three of those to hit to hit a three teamer on there and if you get all six it is a very good payout it's a fun payout if you go uh go all the way on on around Robin I know uh Chris Andrews gave a gave you the stick the Chris Andrews sticky notti is in front of Alex white today uh I know that Chris uh at least uh has had betters in the sharp betters at that come in and bet at least early in the season week one week two these round Robins on small underdogs uh and Chris listed uh a few that uh some sharp betters have been at least use utilizing today so I did have to jump in on this one as well because I do think it is a great idea so betting the small dog on the money line um getting a really good price there but throwing some together so some examples Eastern Michigan UNLV Notre Dame Florida West Virginia even which isn't quite as all of an underdog but and USC we'll go through a few others that maybe we like that you could tie in there but yeah I mean put those together to win outright few of them hit and um you'll definitely get your money back and some okay definitely definitely end some definitely end some if you uh again just being able to titos in a smaller parlays gives you a more chance to win sometimes it does cut your profit a little bit but profit is better than nothing as we know and you have to put a little bit more up right it's not just going in and handing a $50 and saying I want this six teamer and then you have you know one team loses and that's it for you but let's uh go to the big one in Atlanta let's go there there's some news this morning on Clemson vs Georgia the Georgia and we kind of expected this uh Trevor etn the brother of Travis etn and the Florida transfer coming over to Georgia suspended for the game will not play uh again had some off field issues this off season uh they all georgo also uh unexpected to have their second running back in this game either uh that that is uh rod rod Robinson the second so Branson Robinson Nate Frasier cash Jones all expected to get some run here today for the Georgia backfield so the market has bet this down Chris and Company actually have the highest number in the market still on this at 12 the rest of the market is sitting at 11 right now there's even some 10 and a half out there uh with that said Alex white I am not totally caring about no etn in this game I still think this is a massive Talent Mi mismatch the talent on the outside for Georgia is still better than Clemson's outside Carson Beck still the better quarterback in this game and Clemson even though their defense still one of the higher rated defenses in the country I know you have them highly rated again Georgia's defense is still better this is a deao Georgia home game in Atlanta I know Clemson will travel well but let's be real here I laid 11 and a half yesterday I think if you can find those 11s that are out there even maybe even a rogue 10 and a half still uh I would lay it with Georgia I do not care too much about the running back issues for the Bulldogs it is really hard this game is a little tough to handicap we don't know how good Georgia really is they are my number one team right now in my power ratings that doesn't mean they can't go up even more so right now my number is sitting at Georgia 11 um so I don't have a strong feel on the side I lean to the over which scares me because both of these teams are very good defensively but I do think Clemson will have some success I mean they have had clay Club Nick there for a while now and uh might let him start throwing the ball down a little bit more Georgia they don't really have a weakness my dad has been saying this but if they were it would be their secondary so they might have some success there Carson Beck one of the top quarterbacks in the country in college right now um he will find success as well and as you mentioned their third string is very good as well so I think they will put some points on the board so lean to the over I have have not played anything in this game just yet well you go back in the day and uh once once upon a time a third string running back by the name of Todd Gurley for Georgia came on the scene yeah they're pretty quite all right with their depth I and you know what I Alex I know we're not supposed to react to what others in the league happened to do for the ACC where this has been Florida State loses outright to their conference foe Georgia Tech NC State very unimpressive even though they ended up winning by three scores against Western Carolina uh Duke yesterday not particularly impressive in a win against Elon didn't cover closing numbers uh Stanford last night a little bit better than expected I thought I thought that had to do more with TCU probably just not being as good as we thought uh Stanford still probably should have won that game really the only AC really the only ACC team that's played above expect for week one I know I don't I know we're not supposed to do this but I I am concerned the ACC is the weakest of the power four conferences and Clemson I don't care it doesn't matter to me that they might be the best in the league we'll get to another ACC SEC later that I know Chris has already mentioned all right let's uh let's keep it rolling let's go to Ohio and Syracuse speaking the ACC this one Chris brought up a bunch yesterday it's Ohio vs Syracuse coming back down the ladder so Syracuse opened 14 Alex it got as high as 18 yesterday and and now it's coming back down the ladder it's down to 16 on Syracuse at home at the Dome total's been hit three points down from 47 and a half to 44 and a half cuse and Ohio I can't do anything here Jeff I mean Syracuse I know that they they're very excited too right new head coach Fran Brown they also have Kyle McCord who comes over from Ohio State so high expectations for this team to be honest I mean they've got some really good guys that they have brought in here and brown inherited 18 returners so a pretty veteran roster on the flip side Ohio we've known them to be very good um and they have just been poached two starters left on offense four on defense so it's going to be tough for them to hang around in this one Syracuse still has a growing spot to go through so I'm not confident in laying that with them either this is one of the games that Chris told us is a lops side of ticket count uh toward towards Syracuse the again little bit back down the ladder I we talk Chris Chris Vinnie and I brought talked about this game a little bit yesterday I I just not comfortable with laying this many points uh I wish I kind of taken the 18 with Ohio but this is a as weak of an Ohio team as I can remember going into a season and that will be a theme for most of the Mac this year where of all the of all the FBS conferences in C USA is just not particularly good but the Mac just gets crushed in the transfer portal in this new era where all almost all of their good players end up in the ACC or the Big 10 so it it's a really tough go at least early in this season for most of these teams in the Mac even though we'll get to a Mac Big 10 game later that I do like the Mac team in so we'll we'll bring that up a little bit later in the show uh how about Georgia Tech Georgia State inate battle in Atlanta Georgia State vs Georgia Tech Alex we saw Georgia Tech win in Dublin a week ago against Florida State I'm just curious from your perspective just even if you don't have a play on this game how did you adjust Georgia Tech after the win against FSU and how do you usually handle a team off of an emotional win especially this early in the season as a big Underdog so that's the part into sports betting that I am really still fine tuning as well right that situational spot and I I would expect a little bit of a let down here I made this number 21 so I guess I adjusted the Georgia Tech the same as the bookmakers here up a little bit of course and Florida State down a little bit but yeah I would be the only way I'd play also the total is sitting right there at 55 um so yeah I mean if if you made me play it i' take the points with Georgia State thinking that we might see a little bit of a let down with Georgia Tech but this is one where I'm going to watch and see how real they are and if that was a fluke or not I this kind of just situational spot is such a great spot to take the dog take the 21 take the three touchdowns but you you know what one thing that stood out to me last week with Georgia Tech was their playing The Trenches was great and that's the type of stuff that that carries over week to week and Florida State doesn't get beat up in the trenches in conference play and Georgia Georgia Tech kicked their ass in the trenches all day last last week what are they going to do to Georgia State if they did that to Florida State that's really the big hold up because the situational spot is so good to go against them but the way Georgia Tech plays play last week if that offensive line is real right this could be one of those games where Georgia Tech wins like 357 wins wins a game that goes way under but really controls the line of scrimmage and Georgia State struggles to score in this one that would be the hold up for uh what seems to be an unbelievable situational spot uh Alex you want to go to another 21 game right after it on the rotation numbers by the way we are doing these by Vegas Rotation Numbers so this is 167 168 if you're going to the window behind the by the way line already there behind us seats filling up quickly so if you're in Vegas wanting to watch at the South Point get here soon so you can get a seed Old Old Dominion vs South Carolina Dominion in South Carolina 21 on the Gamecock 50 and a half Alex I I have South Carolina's a bottom five SEC team coming into the year with that said I don't think much of Old Dominion here either I I have this I I had this number at 22 and a half so really not much of a difference I'm with you I don't have much of a difference either I mean hoping South Carolina can turn around they had pretty high expectations last year and definitely disappointed now they get Lenoris sellers um pretty good athlete fourstar recruit class of 2023 he played in three games last year we saw him go four or4 uh 86 yards at two touchdowns he also rushed for 51 yards with a touchdown so we'll see what he can do um I'm not going to jump in on this one the defense also returns quite a few stars at at every level every position Old Dominion they do have their quarterback returning but on the that side their defense was really no good so I don't really know if they're going to be able to slow South Carolina down um think that number is right at 21 so it's a pass for me South Carolina again I just it the sec's too good at this point uh they I I don't think they did enough in the transfer portal in order to realistically compete everyone's schedule is hard in SEC let's be honest with ourselves so uh not much expectations for a team that I I see in the 16 Team league probably finishing about 12th 11th something in that pocket uh in the SEC moving along to a game that you had a lot of James Madison vs Charlotte interest in and Chris Andrews also had interest in uh Chris actually gave this out as one of his five plays that'll be doing every Friday uh across the board James Madison and Charlotte this is down to eight this has been a very very interesting moving game started out at 10 and a half got all the way down to six now's come back up the ladder actually seven and a half behind us right now a total 49 on this one Alex white I I'm going to defer to you at least here at first because this game has been a whole butload of confusing especially after Biff pokey's confusing press conference claiming half of his starters were hurt and I'm really glad that you did bring that to my attention because I was going to jump in on Charlotte yesterday yesterday would have been a better number but sometimes that's not good enough right so James Madison we know that there is a big change here we just talked about cetti getting the Indiana job so they will not have him they do bring over Dylan Morris quarterback from Washington he was the starter until he lost the job to Michael Pennock Jr so good athlete um this might be a better spot for him kind of like we were talking about with Kyle McCord and could do really good stuff here on the Charlotte side they have a dual threat quarterback Florida transfer Max Brown uh massive upgrade there two quarterbacks last year that they were going between combined for seven touchdowns and 16 interceptions so uh really anything could have been an upgrade for that but it's just it's a tough one I I would lean to the under if anything lean to the under okay because really um Charlotte's defense was not bad last year they ranked 51st nationally in success rate um and they were especially strong against the run I don't know what we're going to see from James Madison they could go a little bit more conservative ear and then uh falls into Charlotte strength so think that 49 is a little bit too high but I stayed away from the side now I I would only lean to James Madison i' that'd be the only lean I I just Charlotte team I have power rate low defense is reasonable uh again first time head uh first time FBS head coach Bob chzn comes over from Holy Cross so it'll be fun to see what this JMU offense looks like moving forward puddles is back by all right uh let's keep moving uh a game Penn St vs West Virginia actually that has the same numbers as this one Penn State takes on West Virginia those numbers that are right there it is seven and a half on Penn State now uh with a total of 49 behind us Alex we've talked about this game for a few weeks now opened 11 all the way down to 7 and a half 51 a half to 49 on the total I I I'll let I I want to hear your opinion first before we get uh until I tell you what I'm leaning at here so I did make this number about seven I talked about this earlier throughout the week if I would have got the best of West Virginia I would definitely be all over the points with them Underdog 2 cover we know last year Penn State snuck in there backd door cover now that with all this steam it kind of makes me nervous I think there's two two um choices here I think West Virginia might win outright and the betters are correct and that is why they are taking all all these points here or I think Penn State is just going to run away with it and everybody is on the wrong side and it doesn't matter what number you got right so I did throw this on my my small dog parlay with West Virginia getting that plus 250 they are a top five running team in the country um they're still a little inexperienced they so they have a lot of work to do but we know Garrett green um comes back a lot of people aren't that high on him we'll see what he can do this year and then on the flip side I am high on Penn State though I do think they will make it into the playoffs this is one of the games that they do have to win all just comes down to Drew Aller and what they let him do maybe they'll let him uh air it out a little bit more we know that was his weakness good at Short passes but we'll see what we get today from Chris felica the bear this morning he he does his thread going into a college football Saturday every single week here's a pair of tweets on this game okay since 2000 James Franklin is 26 and 20-6 D1 so 20 wins six losses and one push against the spread as a favorite of at least seven points if you narrow it down the games in which Penn State was favored between seven and 24 so eliminate the buy games against the the the mediocre to bad teams Franklin is 160 and one in that spot against the spread adding this to West Virginia from a year ago West Virginia I know we don't love the AP poll but for purposes of this the AP poll comes into play West Virginia last year was 0 and3 against teams that finished ranked their touch that their point differential in those their average Point differential loss in those games was 25.3 they lost all those games by at least two touchdowns West Virginia last year went nine and one against teams that were unranked at the end of the year so they really got fat and happy against Bad teams which makes me makes me just wonder how much did they learn from last year they got clocked by the two Oklahoma teams and remember that Penn State game last year Franklin clearly knew to the spread and scored a touchdown late when he didn't have to to cover the number with that said with all this said I do lean to Penn State at this number if we see seven by the time this game starts I will be on it immediately uh I just think we've gotten a little too overaggressive even with that great home field in Morgantown even with a G guy like Garrett green who I think has a chance to be one of the three best quarterbacks in the Big 12 this year I just think this is too early of in the season for West Virginia to have a game like this if this game was on October 1st Maybe story but week one I I think Penn State's just the better team they handle their business on the road you basically told me West Virginia is the um Junior Penn State because Penn State can't beat the top three and then West Virginia can't beat the top 25 I like that kind of a Penn State should take care of business here I I like that that's actually pretty pretty good comparison all things especially last year uh again Neil Brown saved his job he was very much on a hot seat before the surprising 9 and4 a year ago all right let's go to boy State and Georgia Southern this is a very weird road trip Boise State vs Georgia Southern for Boise State going down to Statesboro the betters seem unconcerned here from 10 to 13 on the Broncos with a total of 57 uh Alex I I'll just say this I I think I'm GNA end up taking the points with Georgia Southern it's not that I love Georgia Southern this is just a very weird trip for Boise State with Oregon on Deck next week going all the way down to a place that's going to be humid it's going to be hot in in in in in southern Georgia M Maddox Madson won the starting job over Malachi Nelson at the QB position I I I think this game will be a lot more closer for Comfort than Boise State will like I I I we'll probably end up on the 13 with Georgia Southern by the time this game kicks off see that's where we uh balance each other well I'm strictly numbers you're very good at situational spots that is a great Point um I didn't do anything with the side here this is one of my favorite totals though I'm going under I got under 57 and a half I think that is gone but I'm still okay at 57 yep um I have it 52 and a half we know one thing for sure Boise very good defensively they return 11 starters from their defense last year defensive minded head coach um Spencer Danielson of course he was the interim last year he was the DC that became the interim and now is in his first year that's what kind of worries me too about how how he does as the full-time head coach here for Boise but when it comes to this game I like the under I do think the defense will be ready and then on the flip side Georgia Southern that is their strength as well and they return eight starters on that unit to Klay hton head coach in his third year so I think ours kind of go together um Georgia Southern hang around in this one low scoring game and if we go under I I would absolutely lean to the I thought this was a low 50s game not a high 50s game uh Georgia Southern Georgia Southern has uh has at least been somewhat competitive against these I I know Boise's not a power power conference school but let's be real they're as close as it gets at the non-power conference level Georgia Southern last year actually stayed in the game with Wisconsin a long time they didn't cover because their quarterback through six interceptions in that game if you remember that one early in the year at Camp ramble that a great under because of that uh but uh I I would lean to Georgia State Alex likes the under in this one at 57 Southern missing Kentucky Southern Miss vs Kentucky up next this has actually been a nice nicely hit game on the golden eagles of Southern Miss over the last 24 hours down to 26 Kentucky of course favorite in Lexington total of 50 on this one Alex nothing for me in this one as well I mean I would lean to Kentucky here but that number is still just a little bit too high I have them 24 so it's almost going the wrong way but uh Mark stops brings in a new OC this year of then they get a Georgia transfer with Brock Vandergriff at quarterback uh defense should be just as good they bring nine starters back not a whole lot on the other side with Southern Miss but fewer to make a case for them taking the points do you have one I would lean to the under okay that would be the way I'd play this game uh Kentucky you mentioned Vander Griff who comes over from from Georgia highly highly talented guy highly talented just what are you going to do behind Carson Beck it wasn't going to beat him out and that's the one of the one the positive thing about the transfer portal now there's no blocking guys from going anywhere and you can basically go at will no some people hate it I know it makes it handicap it makes handicapping a little bit harder uh during the off season but you know what you end up with with teams with with better situations because of it I think Vander Griff's going to be a star for Kentucky I I don't know what kuy ceiling is this year because they their schedule's difficult in conference they have to play Louisville the last game in a year again but if you win seven eight games like markk Stoops has consistently done at Kentucky you keep that job forever like Mark Stoops has done at Kentucky so I would lean to the under though uh I I think Southern Miss is going to struggle to score in this game that's really the take more than anything I did right on here too Southern Miss team total is sitting at 10 and a half I don't mind that yep don't mind that at all uh taking the under on 10 and a half missed that yesterday with temple we both talked about it yeah we should have played that sitting there should have just laid the points should have just laid the points like Chris did on you yesterday uh and Sean did as well on that game all right let's go to Ohio State and akan speaking of ridiculous Lines 49 behind us with a total of 57 Alex I'll just ask you because I don't think either of us have a play on this game but how do you handle these especially in these total Akron vs Ohio State mismatch noncon games when you have a line in a total that are so close and this correlated like this really just there's so many games on the board I usually just look elsewhere to be honest it's it's too tough I think um and I think both those numbers are correct and we saw these two play in 2021 in Ohio State 159 to7 that would be good for Ohio that would be good for Ohio State covering and over there Alex those those are pretty correlated it's just so funny like this week with because you get those FC the FBS FCS games you have multiple games in the 50s of course uh depending on your book uh some of you may have not got paid on Arkansas covering easily against Pine Bluff because they shortened the second half quarters cuz the game was so out of hand already at halftime uh Missouri covered winning 51 nothing as a 50-point favorite so I mean I see you're gonna I in this era to transfer portal you're going to see more and more of this early in the season uh where these just these the gaps are so wide between the bottom of the barrel FBS teams and FCS teams against basically other than the top of the FCS against anyone in FBS I think we're both very high on Ohio State especially especially with the upgrade in quarterback here with Will Howard coming over from K State so this could be another blowout oh will Howard as you mentioned replaces Kyle McCord Ohio state is the best backfield in the country going into the year uh as of course trayon Henderson is still there and oh by the way they only added quinon Judkins in a surprise transfer from M Miss so you arguably two of the five best running backs in the country in the same backfield so this is a this team is loaded if Ryan Day can't get this team at least to a college football semifinal this would be a monster disappointment for the Buckey may even be a disappointment if they're not lifting the trophy at the end of the year for that fan base ravenous to say the very least uh there in the state of in the Buckeye state of Ohio all right let's go to uh I just want to touch on the two uh New Mexico vs Arizona Arizona Games first let's start with the the Wildcats first against the Lobos of New Mexico uh U OFA is a 30o favorite with a total of 59 Alex I I would only look at a potential under in this game I I I again I don't think New Mexico's going to score uh just a matter of how how many points does Arizona want to score in this game there in Tucson yeah we're coming off a year Where The Wild Cuts were very impressive last year in the Pack 12 of course their coach leaves now they have Brent Brennan step in but they do have their um quarterback return we talked about Noah Fafa all year last year he did um very good here for Arizona so I have nothing my number is a little bit lower Jeff it's not that fivepoint difference that I like to make a bet on so I have it sitting here at 56 but that does lean to the side that you are leaning as well yeah that would be only a only a look to the under uh for me in this game and we saw New Mexico last week they blew a huge lead against Montana state in the fourth quarter it's not a good football team Bronco mendenhal has a lot of work to do in Albuquerque now the other Arizona TEAM Arizona State hosts Wyoming Wyoming vs Arizona State it set seven behind us we're actually starting to see some six and a halfs in the market on this game I agree with the move I know it's a new error in Wyoming Craig B retires new coach there uh in J soille Wyoming's always well coached and soille of course a part of that bowl uh staff up there in Wyoming Arizona State we've talked about them you and I have them at the bottom of the Big 12 one of the few at the best the third worst team in that conference for either of us I expect this game to be tight I don't even mind a little sprinkle on the money line line on the pokes here on the road in Tempe Arizona State just doesn't have the horses yet in Kenny dillingham's second year uh Wyoming should be able to at least stay in this game and would not Shock me if they pull this thing out right Alex I'm with you and they do return their star running back and Harrison wayy um who was tremendous for them last year 947 yards five touchdowns um and a a few hundred yard games back to back but I like their defense I don't think I added this to my round robin now that I see it but I definitely like this under here with them we know that Wyoming as you mentioned coached very well and they've always been very good defensively last year 32nd in points allowed allowing an average of just 23 um new offensive coordinator here for Arizona State they actually get Marcus aoro who we U oh we saw here in town we saw here at unlb but I think it'll I think he'll be a great great OC again he came from Oregon right where how he got that first job first head coaching job here but I think it might take some time so I'm expecting a run heavy game here with these two I think that 47 and a half is a little too high I would play the under here might have to do a another bet this just moved to six and a half by the by two Arizona games Arizona New Mexico and Arizona State and Wyoming are both at 7:30 Pacific time this game is not done with movement it will not Shock me one bit once if this comes back to seven by the time this game kicks off especially if favorites have a good day today would not Shock me one bit if we see sevens yet again so TC TCU Stanford very late game last night reminded me of our uh late Pack 12 action and now we have yeah good yeah uh well old pack 12 teams are going to play those Pack 12 after dark dark uh slots more more than not uh how about one at 12:30 Pacific Time 3:30 local in Gainesville Florida the Gators the canes Miami vs Florida inate rivalry here that we don't see very often Florida by the way in they non-con they play sford next week and then they do the the uh the M the State of Florida Trio they get the canes they get central Florida and they get Florida State in their three other three non-con games we talked about it yesterday their conference slate other than Mississippi Mississippi state is outrageous yes uh they're going to be dogs in seven of those eight games more likely to not an SEC play Miami we talked about it all offseason Alex high expectations and especially after Florida State blows game one I I think the pressure even mounts even further on Miami to get off to a good start today as two an a point favorites in Gainesville I'm with you but on the flip side there's a lot of pressure on the other side too with Billy nler going into his third year two full recruiting cycles and you just brought up the conference schedule it's not going to be easy so he really needs these kind of wins um 73 returning production pretty good big surprise from Merz last year Graham Merz that is at quarterback uh much better than than we knew of 3,000 yards 20 touchdowns 73 completion rate just three ints I think this is the correct number here um thinking about it though I don't want to give Florida too much home field I do think there'll have be plenty of Miami fans there and they will get to compete I wanted to make a case for Miami at Florida all week long even with that my number being the same but I never got there and now I caved and I have Florida on my H small moneyline dog parlay so I know a lot of people do feel that this that is the right side here with Florida and they could they could win this outright at home I don't like either of these coaches that's my first takeaway of this game I'm not a huge fan of Sunbelt Billy uh at Florida but Mario chrisal ball has done less with more than anyone in the country going back to the Oregon days he overachieved it FIU and God was fired unceremoniously there underachieved at Oregon underachieved at Miami so far I think it's going to continue I like Florida at home difficult Road spot not going to be I mean this is I know it's not a long travel from Miami to Gainesville but it going to be no help from traveling fans for Miami here in this game I think the Gators went outright we saw two years ago remember as well Utah of all teams went to Gainesville and a Florida team that ended up being pretty average we didn't know how good Anthony Richardson was at the time but Utah went there and lost to Florida as a bigger favorite than Miami did Miami's a little more used to the weather of course than Utah was but this is a difficult place to play and I I I can't believe I'm saying this I think Graham Merz has a big day after last year where he was so much better than he was at Wisconsin I like Florida you can get about plus 128 out there still in other books that would be the best number out there that I would look to take outright for go the points and just take them on the money line for me should talk a little bit more about Miami and to Jeff's point about doing less um less with more 79 return production for Mario crisal so if this if there was ever year he should have a good season this year he really built up the trenches last year they averaged 31.5 points a game and a huge upgrade in the quarterback position cam Ward comes over from Washington State so I do expect this to be a very good game um and a pretty tight one down to the end two and a half uh I don't expect to see threes again in this game and if you do get them quickly because they will not last long on this game let's go to Colorado State in Texas this has been up Colorado State vs Texas and down the ladder here Alex white 36 open to 31 A5 4 days ago now back up the lad to 34 a half on the Texas Longhorns at home against the Colorado State Rams the total's been very quiet 59 to 60 so not much movement there uh what would you do here now that we've just moved all over the map you missed the best of it on both sides at this point right um we did have somebody ask us too in the chat earlier this week about their color Colorado State Rams I hope they got the best of the number I think anything um 35 and over is a good take on Colorado State I have Texas here at 30 and a half Point favorite at home but I mean I was very high on the Longhorns last year I'm I'm going to stay there this year I didn't worry about the transition to the SEC but they still have Quinn yers who think is a a great quarterback um and they still have a really good defense so it makes it tough to even take these points with the Lower Mountain West team but I I shouldn't say lower I actually have Colorado State relatively um in the middle for the Mountain West so maybe they can put up get a couple touchdowns and hang in this one but I didn't I didn't play I didn't get either side of the best numbers this feels like a boatload of points from Colorado State I I'm with you I thought Colorado state is basically a slight actually slightly above average Mountain West team this year not good enough to compete for the championship but not going to be in the doldrums of of that conference this all comes down to what we Vinnie Chris and I talked about this yesterday and this also goes for Ohio State akan as well how much are these teams that are going to be in this playoff hunt all year long especially in these mismatches there are let's say Texas up 283 at halftime we're probably not going to see much of Quinn and yers in the second half right I know there are some out there be like oh Arch Manning might be every bit as good as Quinn ERS even though we haven't seen him yet may not make a difference but I think you have to keep that in mind now granted Ohio State's fourth guys are better than Akon's first guys and a lot of Texas's second guys are better than anyone Colorado state has so keep that in mind as well but very interested early in the year with these mismatches to see what these teams that we expect to be in the race the whole year how they handle blowouts because if you playing a national title game he could be playing 16 games this year in college football we had a guest in here sitting right here during b bash who did we have college football Bud Elliot Bud yes Bud Elliot and he said that he he kind of warned us that and said how important it was to keep their starting guys healthy because it is a longer season so you will you will see that but Oklahoma is a great example too and Sean and I were talking about their second and third string quarterbacks and they were definitely rated higher than temples before we bring Vinnie in I want to hit one last game here Miami of Ohio and Northwestern this number is now moved Miami, Ohio vs Northwestern this is no longer a play for me if you got the three and a half yesterday when we discussed a Miami of Ohio I think that's good now that we're at three I think I would pass it would still be you would still play the dog in this spot if you insisted on playing this northwestern's playing in basically their soccer field right on Lake Michigan because Ryan Field is under Renovations for the next two years very bizarre and fun setup in Evanston Northwestern won so many close games last year that I just it is it it's not like the roster is much better than it was a year ago regression to the mean could bite very very hard for Northwestern this year and it would not Shock me if it starts today against the team that I know you have power rated number one in the Mac that's right plus 13 turnover margin here in FBS play Ford northwester remember they kind of shocked everybody um they won five of their last six games and they struggled really at the beginning of the year like you said pretty much the same um talent-wise roster coming back here I really like Miami Ohio we get Brett Gabbert back again in 2023 16 34 yards 14 touchdowns and then he missed six games so that was in a very short sample size that we saw from Gabbert also two of the top three pass catchers return four starters from the o line and um they're top running backs so I like uh Miami Ohio a lot in this one I did add them to my money line parlay I think they could win outright against Northwestern wouldn't have expected Brett Gabbert's college career to outlast Blain Gabbert's NFL career but here we are uh of course uh gabard gabard has been in college uh uh for six years this is year six yeah uh for Gabbert uh across uh actually all at Miami of Ohio amaz that's that's the most amazing part that is in school for six years not and no transfers in this era that is shocking to say the very least one of one it might be nowadays that's a Frank nicio com I think you're right on that honestly though even though I we if you watch punch lines you get the reference as well all right we'll take a short Painted numbers right I mean you know sometimes operators and again this is not a critique it's a it's a choice uh uh they'll they'll kind of move in what the market is right I mean we're going to be in in line with the market uh anyway but a point off that's because money moves the numbers here okay I mean um we don't paint as Chris and Chris says this quite a bit Chris Andrew director here at sou Point talks about it and it's it's not a matter of bright it's that that's why it pays to shop too that's why you have to shop so in in the case of that game which is a very high-profile game but as we we've got add games extra games FCS games uh make sure you that that you are shopping uh as as betters now are we aware of what the market is out there obviously sure we we we keep track of that great great down there in Houston so Alex Vinnie open three got down to one and a half and now come back up the ladder and Alex your Rebels I'm allowed to call them your Rebels still right yeah can you call them my Rebels too I pay tuition for two kids they're Rebels on that side of the desk they're Rebels three and a half now Alex uh with Houston the favorite at home so I that is rare my number is um but I did take a little bit on the money line for UNLV to win this outright honestly it's weird to say but I think there's more stability here at UNLV um even though Barry odm's only had one year there he has just turned it around very quickly uh changed the culture I don't want to get too ahead of myself but I mean Houston does have a new coach coming in Willie Fritz and Donovan Smith at quarterback I do think it'll help him but who knows with this first game I think this could be a a pick them type of game and the rebels were really good offensively they have some question marks at quarterback but I think they'll they'll get it going they'll be able to hang in this one so that three and a half points I think that's a good number of course we know that's a good number when you can get the hook there for a very tight game but leaning towards the rebels here with barota making a statement first game um being a road game yeah as we talked about yesterday Jee on uh on football frenzy Friday uh football frenzy on a Friday on a Friday um but the thing about it is this game obviously you know open three came initial money came in on the rebels and then now it's gone up and gone through the three um I think we're going to see some money at three and a half I don't know if we'll quite get the four I think it'll depend on what's happening in games at 4:00 so what's leading into it in terms of multile uh action you know parlays in particular um but I think one of the best things Alex to your point that that happened for the rebels is that Barry odm didn't not leave there was a lot of speculation and and and thought that he would get recruited by another program let's say in the Big 12 or you know Big 10 one of the one of the power four conferences uh fact that he's here I think provided some stability and it's good for the rebels especially now with this transition transitioning uh uh going around the country with the expansion of other conferences is the Mountain West Conference eventually going to expand even more uh to become I don't know will they be on par no with the others but you know uh it it certainly looks like it may become uh a better conference especially if uh you know other programs are added officially right that we talked about some of the Pack 12 schools but this number here three and a half and uh yeah more money for Houston this morning but I think uh there's going to be some some support for the rebels would you say that is sharp money though um because at for at first the movement they took UNLV right and then now we're seeing it come back on Houston so I think initially that was uh because especially when we put these numbers up remember these have been up for over a month right i' say a couple of months and so initial money that came in on these games in including this one Alex to your point was more professional money right I mean uh your your your average fan your casual fan the the folks that are here for the weekend they're they're not going to get involved that far out they're more in uh inclined to to bet what's on the board for those particular days and that of course was baseball and the Olympics and things that were going on so initial money uh more professional and I why I think that professionals will probably grab this uh this hook at some point uh I want to Quick hit on this game because I know you have a play here Alex uh South Alabama north Texas which was a little bit of a bouncer yesterday North Texas vs South Alabama uh from seven on South Alabama down to 5 now back to six total's been banged down three and a half points from 65 and a half to 62 Alex so the numbers right back where I got it I got North Texas plus six here I do think they can hang around in this one second year for Eric Morris head coach and then we've get a TCU transfer for the quarterback position Chandler Morris um yeah I just I think they can hang in this one I don't have South Alabama rated that high they have a new um head coach as well we know major Apple White is there now second head coaching job was at Houston um prior to this one but um yeah I some returners here on North Texas and it was more just to play on the number cuz I just had South Alabama as a two-point favorite yeah was all North Texas uh you know to begin with and then this morning last night and this morning all about South Alabama so y we'll go back up the ladder oh then I probably could get seven let's go to a let's go to a game that starts in 10 minutes I know Chrissy put this in uh Virginia Tech vs Vanderbilt his five for the for today on the show yesterday VOD on the road in Nashville take on Vanderbilt as high as 14 as low as 13 yeah the hook is back on Virginia Tech at 13 and a half total total uh when you guys open 47 and a half got banged up quickly to 53 and now it's come back down the ladder uh 49 right now on this number that actually just changed about 30 seconds ago as we speak yeah um yeah two-way action on on the game uh on the sides and on the total here so again uh What uh what we love in our world is uh two-way action whether it's at the desk but especially at the counter that's for in isn't that funny too you never know which game is going to be a uh I bet game and so to see two-way action on this one is it's a little surprising that's a that's a good there there are surprises that uh you know you'll take place you look at at a match and you'll say wow look at you know a very highly ranked team right uh even whether it's you know in in the polls or a team look Ohio State today right you would think you know it's Ohio State right and depending on who you talk to they're they're the number one power rated team that's that's what we go by um you think there was a great amount of money there's less money on that I mean they're 50 point favorite let's face it so um but some of the games to your point Alex will surprise you uh and that's another reason why go out and shop and look and professionals will look at some some of the games again it's about numbers right and and and the matchups that are associated with those numbers so Virginia Tech I know Alex is high on VCH going into the year I I adjusted accordingly after seeing Florida State be worse than I thought they would be uh Kiren Jones GR in the second half of the year ago for VOD Tech Vanderbilt has a long way to go I have a long way to go Diego Pavia comes over from New Mexico State he's their week one starter at quarterback I will say if there was 14 on the board I probably would still lean the Vandy at home but now I I'm not taking less than two touchdowns at home in this game with Vandy could be blowout potential still you know you hit a key Point Jee so again I want to go back to from you know a little something from our side of the counter right uh try to give give folks a little insight so we put up the games of the year which is an early a very early exercise to see how our power ratings are right those are very early power ratings and and when Chris you know we released those 100 games early right professional money had Paul Stone in and going over those games that's an early exercise and you get to see uh you know how your power ratings stack up to professionals and what what they're thinking right so an initial adjustment for some teams with those power ratings an initial and then some adjustments following so one of the teams that we've had to adjust is Virginia Tech to your point Jee you know we've had to adjust yeah uh State uh Arkansas we've had to adjust based on how it's not just results but how you know games are being played and things like that now it's not an over adjustment and there'll be more adjustments earlier in the season in in college than let's say in the pros right we don't want to have overreaction uh from week one uh next week in the NFL which we'll talk about but certainly in the college you've got to uh you've got you know you can't be stubborn on our side of the counter and say Hey listen you know what we're going to stick with you adjust numbers and things like that but you pay attention to to those opinions and how games are being uh being wagered Let's uh let's go to one later usually this would be the night cap but this is just a regular night game Hawaii hosting you UCLA vs Hawaii UCLA uh right now it's 14 got as low as 13 was as high as 15 and a half behind us 55 a half to 53 uh I will throw this out there I am on Hawaii right now I did end up taking the 14 okay just UCLA I know that garbers is returning which is a big deal at the quarterback position but I know Hawaii not as good as you would expect at home but still a lot of travel here Hawaii's already got a game under their belt he can play this game within two touchdowns I I took 14 with the Rainbow Warriors Alex I'm with you Jeff and uh hopefully that doesn't bite us because Hawaii has let us down but last year they played week zero week one and then they actually had to travel between so like you're saying they just stay right there on the island last week we saw um oh shreer Bren shreer 203 passing yards two touchdowns now the receivers did drop three passes but there were 30 m per hour wins so hopefully it's better weather there today but that definitely impacts the passing game is the wind so I think we will see a better game from them and you know maybe they were playing a little bit vanilla against Dakota State and we could see some more here today against uccl La deshun Foster first year um we'll see what we get I think they'll be better I just think it might take a little time here and Hawaii could surprise them tropical storm last week definitely impacted impacted things wind some often times more of a factor than than snow and rain but uh this week much better weather but yeah this game we opened it 15 and a half a couple of months ago down as low as 13 as you mentioned now now 14 so I I tell you this is a 4:30 start I would have love to have had the game game you know typically this Hawaii game these Hawaii games they're like the late they're the 7:00 or uh 8:00 start and if this game this this will have a a good amount of handle to it but if this game was in that you know the the I'll call it the traditional Hawaii start time uh the handle would probably be double than what it's what it's going to be today we' got both Arizona teams playing in that exactly yep let's go to Alabama Western Kentucky this is a game that's Western Kentucky vs Alabama been hit a bunch this morning here Vinnie y uh now 34 on B with a total of 59 and a half on this one all about Alabama the Crimson Tide today again we're sitting at you know we we opened at 31 a little uptick to 31 and a half just kind of an accumulation but this morning last night and uh this morning it's been all about Alabama and I think maybe some you know the folks are looking and seeing how uh some of the bigger schools uh already have have dominated some of these uh some of these early games and I think uh you know that's kind of the the mindset of the betters here Alabama just in terms of depth and class right so that's that's a move here could definitely impact that and have an influence especially Alabama you got to um we know that D'Or going to try and make a statement he's got to prove that he does have control over this team and then of course jayen milro a lot of question marks with him he wants to prove himself and he he did last year great uh dual threat quarterback I went with the over here I think we're going to get points from both both teams and we're going to be able to get over this 59 and a half pretty easily Western ky's defense really struggled 10 um ranked 109 in yards allowed last year um and I but I think they can actually score a couple today going to the defending champs next Michigan 21 against Fresno Fresno State vs Michigan State actually any you guys are Market low on this now it's mostly 21 and a half uh as they're laying it with the defending champs with a total of 45 a half in this game yeah we did uh uh touch 21 and a half earlier in in the week Jeff but uh um the the more action on the total really I mean remember this this a total that opened 48 a half and now down a few points so um more of a move there but I again I you know this a it's a good game too I want I want to see how Fresno State does particularly with the coaching change uh they they always compete um you know transition at Michigan and uh you know to your point Alex too about you know dbor uh at at Alabama new but but this is a little easier transition with this coaching staff having been in place so um but yeah the defending champs are three touchdowns here I don't know if it gets through uh you'll see 21 and a half does it go higher perhaps again other tie-ins uh to the game will will impact that number I'm with you Vinnie I think this will be a good game and I think Jeff and I both have Fresno State about third in the Mountain West so they could surprise some people they could hang in this one I have that number right there but I'm definitely not going to lay it with so many question marks with this Michigan team I would be I would rather take it with the dog and you know they could have a really good sh here playing the defending champs game one let's go to the late game the game everyone's going to wait for the highest handled game of the day I would imagine Vinnie Notre Notre Dame vs Texas A&M Dame Goes to College Station college game day is there A&M is three you did have two and a half yesterday so you went back to the three 47 and a half on this one with the agies favorite at home against the Fighting Irish a Toggler Jeff two two and a half yes bingo card there you go and uh and taking the three uh again when we came on the air yesterday right as we came on it went from three to two and a half and then uh uh again action that's come in in the last 12 hours on Texas A&M so uh there'll be some Notre Dame money at the three but again at uh at 4:30 and the prime time listen a great game two TOS that uh you know with high pro high-profile programs Notre Dame plays that great schedule they always have a following A&M again another transition new coach um this this game will be a great handle game open pick and it was all about Texas A&M get until we got to the three so we did find the the threshold for the buyback Alex really fun I know you guys talked about it yesterday but great storyline here Mike Elco new era in Texas A&M now coaching up against his former former quarterback um in Riley Leonard who went from duke now at Notre Dame which should be a great fit for him Marcus Freeman has done a great job there with the Fighting Irish and now they have a really good um quarterback in place just have to make sure he is 100% healthy of course he did have two surgeries last year after his injury um but a lot of high expectations I think that number is perfect where it is I don't think you're as high on Texas A&M I have the wrong team favorite in this game simple as that plus three on Dame is my favorite bet of the entire day uh I will be on Mone I will absolutely be on money line as well I am very low on this Aggie Team all things considered now there is something to be said for the fact that the culture was so toxic by the end of Jimbo Fisher Fishers era that maybe just even changing the culture over the summer yeah is enough to get get what is needed out of that five-star Talent that's across the board for A&M but I think this Notre Dame team is capable of actually making it to a college football championship game they have enough Talent on this team to go deep in the college football playoff remember if they're in the college football playoff they can't get a buy because they can't win a conference corre because they're independent but this is this team is the best team Freeman has had since he's gotten there there is no excuse to not go at least 10 and two and be in the college football playoff I think it gets off to good start with a win in an extraordinarily difficult place to play I like Notre Dame outright you know it's amazing how the expanded playoff changes so much you you you you know there's discussion of it from the beginning of the season and in intense discussion because of that expansion and because really some of these early season losses aren't going to be as damaging to some teams right so I think that that plays into it and Notre Dame again a terrific schedule lot of talent and there's a lot of folks that uh that feel the same way as you Jeff about them making the uh making the playoff for sure there are two games that are not on Saturday I want to hit them real quick here LSU and in in USC LSU vs USC here in Vegas it's down to four and a half there's even a lot of four in the market now in LSU with a total of 64 and a half Vinnie uh I would imagine you guys would probably see four here sooner rather than later with the way the market looks probably um LSU opened at uh six a couple of months ago did initially get played up to six and a half and again remember when these numbers go up so early uh there's going to be you know the movement is going to be quicker right and and and of course it settled in and uh then they took six and a half took six all the way down to uh to the four and a half where we're at now did BET The Game Over not a real surprise right because the question really with these two teams is which team if either of them has improved their defense from a year ago so 64 A2 um great game it'll be the focus of uh of the the betting tomorrow in a in a in in a great spot at 4:30 by the way you know Michael gone uh who went to I think he got his masters from from SC he was here yesterday talking uh to to Chris Jimmy and I and he was talking about the response for tickets and how huge the response has been by LSU fans and again Las Vegas that event you know the event driven destination that we are this is an event so a lot of folks have come here and made it a 4-day weekend uh or or 5-day weekend so um that's uh that's May set the the the new record uh at Allegient which I think is held by G Brooks but for a football game Notre Dame and BYU a couple of years ago well it's exciting hopefully um we have more of these Sunday games next year when there is any NFL there should be at least like a triple header and but this is a great start I know it's tough for schools cuz you know they want to stay on the same schedule um going into the year but it's going to be a lot of fun New Era for these teams new quarterbacks Miller Moss for USC and Garrett newme for LSU you mentioned the defense new defensive coordinators on both sides we'll see what they can do I know bear like the under and said that those defensive coordinators are really going to turn things around I have not made a play yet but I'm leaning towards uh LSU the SEC team uh taking care of business here I guess I'm getting my favorite ones out of the way at the end of the show here LSU I I I'm I saw the fours and bet the four there you go I don't think we're getting if we get lower than that so so be it I just don't see it they're just a better roster top the bottom than USC and I like Brian Kelly more than I like Lincoln Riley so I I I I'll take I'll take the better roster and the better Coach and even though you would think that it would be more USC fans it's going to be more purple and yellow tomorrow I'm surprised too this is a USC Town there's a lot of going to be more people from the Bayou I I like LSU especially at four against USC all right uh Boston College in Florida State real quick Vinnie you guys had to adjust because of the result it's 17 right now Boston College vs Florida State in Florida State I know Alex and I are passing on that game 22 and a half on the opener again after last week uh the adjustment uh to a 17 then took it down to 15 15 a half here at South Point now back up to 17 this is a this figures to be a pretty angry uh seven old team I would think and I think this number will continue to go up before we get out of here I I'll give the five that I like Jeff's Top 5 Picks the most of the games that are not starting at the top of this noon Eastern 9:00 a.m. would be the fifth one that I would look at here today very good my um top total place I did jump in on Illinois State Iowa which is St on the under of course I'm not surprising there Alex's Top 5 Over/Under Totals um Miami and Florida over 54 Boise State uh Georgia Southern one of my favorite under 56 and a half Western Kentucky Alabama over 59 and a half unlb in Houston over 55 and a half I
