game where the results will be remember for a lifetime as we'll see a squad from the Mountain West the boisey State Broncos taking on the 12th rank team in the land the Nevada Wolf Pack for EA Sports college football ree Davis with you alongside [Applause] looking for a productive play on first [Applause] down he wants to [Applause] throw trying to escape and get it himself he's going to be able to pick up a few yards before the slide let's see what they've got on second down out of the gun the inside hand off to the running back they get him on the ground but it's a first down I know this is an offensive L that has a ton of Pride they want to come out each and every game and really impose their will on the dline they got just enough push there on that one play to pick up the first we had a barn burner the last time these two teams played and no reason to expect anything else between these two bitter Rivals attention to detail and I think the sense of urgency David in a game like this just goes well and I think managing the emotions in these type of games you know last year was a classic now you're trying to form this year's identity of this team and go out and get a win in a big time rivalry game he's got an open man coming through that third down conversion and they'll mark it at the 43 it's really nice when you're an offensive coach and you can basically attack the whole field when you got an arm like this and you could just boom put on a line it's really nice to have them this Nevada offense really has it going give to the running back not much working there it'll be second and nine all right well the offense here they're trying to get this run game established they obviously don't break off a long run there but they're just trying to find their footing at this point looking to the big tight end got him down field and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pick up it's a nice job two of the quarterback after the play fake there getting his eyes down the field he had to get that to his tight end quickly knowing he wasn't going to have a lot of space to run with after the catch the wolf pack with a first and 10 here they'll ride the running back and leave it with him they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one you see all this movement in football now all this stem in the defensive line they're sliding right before the snap creating confusion for the offensive line then they're moving moving back and stunting really good job by the defense continue to move continue to stunt continue to get in the back field and make this life hard on this [Applause] running third and long and he'll try to throw for it that pass not close as he got drilled trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down com and I know it wasn't successful the offense set for a first down play running back searching for a hole Works ahead for a couple they'll stop him at the 27 as they get set to snap it just about to reach the end of the quarter to the air it's Lambert quick completion on the out and they'll move the chains and a good way to wrap up the first quarter that's theend into the quarter and boisey state has the lead one period in the books and let's take a look at the stats now to see if these guys can get back in the game as we open the second quarter back at it to open the quarter with this first down play used the play fake now to throw that's caught it's brown well it's a nice job by the defender they're closing the the Gap with the wide receiver they're going to complete the hitch pass but he's able to run right up on him get him to the ground for a minimal game they'll leave it with him and the Freshman does a great job using his technique and getting the man on the ground line is set on third down to the ground to try to move the chains he gets it oh so close to the first down marker but I think he's going to be a touch short got it first and 10 from inside their own five you got to take care of the ball but there is room to take a shot here they'll go to the ground not a whole lot of progress made there on the short drive didn't get much on first down it's second and nine they'll run it and he finds Some solid space makes a nice game before the defense is able to stop him so third and short from inside the 20 you convert here in this Drive takes on a different complexion quick strike complete just what the doctor order to get away from the shadow of that goal post and pick up a first down of the 23 fresh set of downs after the completion looking for a physical attack from the gun at the 35 he's got room ripped off a huge chunk play on that one as he gets the first down before he steps out of bounds yeah defens you better be ready to run east and west when you're playing against this offense in their running game that time the offense was able to outflank the defense to the right side for a big play finally this offense starting to show a little juice they've got a first and 10 use the play fake now to throw fires to the middle makes a connection ripping through the defense and getting it all the way down to the 24 yd line he might have the defense's head spending a little bit now hit him with a big run now they hit him with a big pass man it's so hard to defend both you know that which coverage do I want to put you want to put more people in the Box to stop the run when youve got this a Shot For The End Zone and it's picked off who says defensive backs don't have hands nice job breing the football and making the catch a lot of times you see Guy Nevada takes over as the offense returns to the field running out of time here in the first half and they do have a chance to make this a one possession game and so you got to locate your best players and get them the football on this drive you're down in the game there's obviously a lot of football left David but on this drive this two-minute situation best players got to touch the ball and this could get into pressing mode right like you go into the half down a couple of scores it starts to the pressure really really mounts good opportunity to take some of that pressure off get some momentum energize this squad going into halftime dropping back it's lamber trying to make magic on the scramble and he scoots his way to the first down and then slides to avoid the hit here's this offense with a fresh set of downs trying to find his man on first down at the 40 there he goes he turns this into a nice gain and gets down to avoid the hit Wolfpack will have first and 10 when they've got him looking run now to pass fires toward the end zone and it's caught touchdown Nevada and I tell you what that passing touchdown man that should spark this whole team like The Comeback is more than on now like they got the touchdown they cut into the lead you want to get a stop and go into the half get all the juices all the excitement and be like listen the passing game's rolling we got Nevada takes over as the offense returns to the field they start this third quarter one possession game and hoping to get an early drive going this offense is ready and they're ready to take the field here and see if they can get something established they don't have to change everything and reinvent the wheel they had some successes in the first half so let's get that continued here on the opening drive yeah and I love getting that break at half to go talk with my coaches and pick my offensive coordinator brain so I know exactly what what I need to do to attack this defense and I get ball first I like the slot receiver because he gives his quarterback a good option working the middle of the field he's a nice weapon in this offense it'll be a first down from the 49 yd line keeps looking downfield and he goes out of bounds after coming up with positive yardage there they'll line up for a second down play now the play fake they're bringing Heat and the Freshman will CH up a sack man you talk about flipping the script how about this defense you go from second and inches to now third and long nice job being disciplined rushing the quarterback getting the sack lots of green grass as he gets it to the 31 wow what a great job by that quarterback finding his open receiver on third down you know guys one of the most telling stats at the end of the game is third down conversion percentage if you're a great third down team it's invaluable to your offensive success and that's why teams drill third down so much in practice not a whole lot of room as he gets a couple inside the 30 to the 29 picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down back to throw it's Lambert got away from trouble and got rid of it gets it out fast he's brought down but he's got him inside the 10 first and goal from the eight we see another catch by this guy this defense is going to need to do a better job of tackling the catch in coverage I know they want to slap the ball away but if you can't do it and force the incompletion you've got to at least make sure you're able to drag him down to the ground as soon as he catches the ball he makes a catch in the end zone touchdown Nevada I tell you when this drive started the defense thought they had them in a hole not anymore what a performance and I really like the play call by the offensive coordinator on that last drive that was a nice mixture of running and throwing and getting different players involved really nice job very poised in that play calling and it showed up with the touchdown Nevada takes over as the offense returns to the field moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust throws to the wide out and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again on second down he'll fire firing to the right complete and he was able to get away from one tackle but plenty of help was on the way decent pick up on that play come to the line at the 42 facing a third and short makes the grab finally run out of bounds but he has his hop pits rolling with a first down well there's the trust this quarterback has in his guy right he knows he's going to give him an opportunity and critical down in distances third down find your best matchup because you know he can make the catch he can get his feet in bounds and keep the drive mov and that pass intercepted and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick how do you not first and 10 from their own one and they really need to create some breathing room from his end zone trying to loosen up this KN oh man what a missed opportunity big fella almost got to run with the ball instead Falls incomplete and brings up second down from his end zone needs to be careful here are we sure that he knows what color jersey his receivers are wearing thre a pick on the last driv and almost through another one just just temporarily confused no big deal hey short memory quarterback's got to have those short memories right it's behind me no harm done reset next play picks up just a few first down here for the offense to throw it's Lambert finds his tight end still running at the 40 gets it to the 42 ydd line and that's a first down big Chun play to start this drive now they'll really try to take it to this defense they're trying to get to it at the 45 on it way oh and the defense in Chase mode and they finally get him down at the 35 man how tough is this guy to defend he drops back everything tells you pass and then he scrambles and gets the first down just so hard to [Applause] defend they're down to the 35 on First and 10 looking to move it through the air it's caught he will step out of bounds but not before the big pickup and a first down for this offense the wolf pack now operating in the Red Zone dumps it to the back and it's incomplete if you're going to take a hit like that you might as well hang on to the ball after the misfire now on second down he's looking to throw fires left and into the end zone he goes touchdown wolf each and every week I think this coaching staff does such a good job of scheming ways to get this guy the football in the passing game and defenses can't cover him without that last catch this now his 10th receiving touchdown on the [Music] season here comes the two-point try snapped it in the shotgun he's got it in the end zone for the two as they trim more off of that lead a very efficient five play scoring drive and the Finish the offense lining up for a first down play he's looking to throw it he's going to run it on the run and he'll slide to avoid the big hit second down coming up dropping back it's Lambert unloads to the wide out right on the money to the outside he dragged the toe and how about the ball plac but only the receiver could get it the offense lines up at the 41 with a first and 10 the short hands it's Roberts and how about that catch and run so dangerous this guy Nevada comes to the line after getting the first down he's going to pass moving keeping the eyes down field and he'll get out of bounds it's a first down their in press territory and now threatening to get the score and how about the quarterback coming coming up big late in this ball game you got to have him nothing open takes off scrambles does it himself and makes the heads up play to get out of bounds it's complete and he gets out of bounds to stop the clock as the offense moves closer trying to pull it out they're down to the 20 first and 10 now from inside the Red Zone grabbed in the back field it's George and there were no creases crevices to run through and they shove him out of bounds looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out offense gets set for second [Applause] down makes the grab and a knock him down but he got past the line to game and you're seeing why this guy is on the field during two minute situations he can catch the football and make things happen nobody open downfield just dump it down to him and let the and he mots into the end Z touchdown Nevada man that drive right there is exactly what you dream about that's how you want your offense to perform under a clutch situation you take the ball down the field get the score and now an extra point away from taking the lead late in this ball [Applause] game e [Applause] [Applause] this is why the passion of college football runs so deep the rivalries and when you lose man does it stick with you no doubt about it Reese this was a game circled for a very very long time they knew how important this one was but David you can't let games like this beat you twice because this losing team now has to find a way to rebound and go out and play again no doubt got to re B but this one stinks this is the one that you have circled for a reason it's it's a rival it's bragging right but you're right let's let's get back to practice this next week to start
