the gate and airport in and out of Black Rock City remain closed as of 9 A.M Saturday September 2nd conserve food water and fuel and shelter in a warm safe space more updates yeah we're stranded out here on the Playa it's pretty rough this is the rough life eating pizza drinking virgin margaritas we're stranded here at birding man we're having a horrible time oh God what a nightmare [Music] ditching our bikes because we have Moon shoes [Music] oh God what a nightmare [Music] ah Burning Man 2023 what really happened it's funny because my intuition knew something was going to be different about this year but I wasn't quite sure what since the Black Rock Desert rarely gets rain of this magnitude we figured oh she got it all out of her system we checked weather forecasts and there was no forecast for rain in fact we'd heard that the rains had caused the Playa to be pressed and hard packed which would mean a year with less dust but that simply wasn't the case in fact we traded our dust for mud so off we went to the Playa Rico poet I don't know it we are on our way to Black Rock City we are starting our journey blessings protection love all of the awesome stuff Adventure Burning Man is something that myself and my community look forward to every single year it's a place where we can be ourselves express ourselves and spend time together and just be kids oh oh oh wait okay it's a California meanwhile back in La other members of our flugin tribe were preparing and getting ready to hit the road this is one of our fluegen's Alan thanks to Nuke and Allen for helping to carry some of our stuff up with you Ellen Ellen Ellen Ellen Ellen owl Allen oh that's not Allen Steve Steve Steve Steve Caravan is on their way we are traveling up as a fluke in group a fluging grouping and we are in Mammoth now yeah these are just a few of the beautiful floogans that we're going to meet up with and what does flugen mean you ask well it's basically going with the flow the flow of the universe being flugin being in the moment saying yes to life here's our flag our Almighty flag camp flugen would you look at that look at how fluging beautiful that thing is We Salute You we are heading to to meet up with the rest of the flugins while partial frugins mammoth we had an awesome campsite for the night and decided to go on a hike in the morning before our travels vegans look back at me yeah I'm going on hike whoa let's see that again in slo-mo Arthur narrowly escapes a vicious butterfly attack okay [Music] waterfalls then we met up with Harry at the local coffee shop putting some drinks and food meanwhile in Bend Oregon one of our other fluegens lyanna is preparing to hit the road it's quite the journey to Black Rock City but we all enjoy it and look at it as an adventure look what's finally on the map Reno Nevada baby we are officially in Nevada time to cue up the Johnny Cash this is a fun little store we stop at for all burner Goods let's just take a quick peek back in with that weather forecast okay so there's a little cloud and then on this one there's another additional Cloud no rain we are on our way we just had dinner a new canal and her in that van ity you never know at the entrance it could be an eight-hour line it could be a two hour line roll it up on the line gonna be hours we're not sure it's gonna be a long night but we're going to Burning Man this movie leading the way hello everybody I don't know if that's how she actually sounds but we're going to Burning Man is this gerlock oh Empire that's so far look at all these little twinkly lights that is a magical land in the distance magical land that we may be hours and hours and hours away from or possibly minutes time will tell this is it the moment of truth we are driving off of the road on to the flyer my voice is already gone and we're not even here yet great see for all of you that are all wondering it looks like an ugly ass construction site whenever you get here but it's the most magical place in the entire world this year's theme was Animalia all about animals which makes sense this is around the time I hopped out of our vehicle and got into lyanna's van with her as she is a virgin burner and we need to change that as we go through the gates you're at the greeters we have a Santa Claus let's do the snow angel or the dust Angel here but you can go to your camp but we'll be doing that I also thought about I brought my own so he stopped right up there for you but just in case you do get separated do you know where you're going yes you know the address yes you know how to
