WE ARE DOING WELL, AT LEAST IN PITTSBURGH AND POINTS NORTH AND WEST ON RAINFALL, SOME SOUTHEAST COUNTIES A LITTLE BIT DRY. YESTERDAY SOUTHEAST ZONES, PLACES LIKE TROPE, CONNELLSVILLE TO NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA MISSED OUT ON THE RAIN BUT LACES LIKE WEST MIFFLIN AND FRANKLIN, THE WINNERS YESTERDAY WITH OVER 6/10 OF AN INCH AND WE CAN ADD ONTO THAT COMING UP LATER THIS AFTERNOON. A LIVE LOOK FROM DOWNTOWN TO PNC PARK, MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES RIGHT NOW BUT TEMPERATURES 66 IN PITTSBURGH, 66 IN INDIANA AND 68 IN LATROBE. MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS AND AS WE GRADUALLY HEAT UP THIS AFTERNOON, SOME OF THE SHOWERS COULD TRANSITION TO ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. THERE'S NOT AS MUCH INSTABILITY SO WE ARE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE POTENTIAL OF SEVERE WEATHER. MOST OF THE RING THIS MORNING IS A LONG AND NORTH OF 422 TO I-80, THAT IS PARTS OF NORTHWEST PA. SHOWERS DOWN TO THE SOUTH AND NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA ALONG I-68 FROM MORGANTOWN TO KINGWOOD AND CUMBERLAND. THOSE ARE PROGRESSING OFF TO THE EAST. AND THE SHOWERS, UP TO THE NORTH ENCOMPASSING PLACES LIKE NEWCASTLE, BUTLER, KITTANNING, PUNXSUTAWNEY AND CLARION GETTING IN ON THE SHOWERS IS MONEY. ALL OF THIS ASSOCIATED WITH A SLOW-MOVING LOW PRESSURE CENTER THAT WE HAVE BEEN WATCHING FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS AND AS LONG AS IT FEATURES OUR REGION, WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CHANCES CONTINUE. YOU CAN SEE THE ACTIVITY FLARES UP TO THE MIDDAY HOURS AND THEN TOMORROW, AS IT STARTS TO PULL TO THE EAST WE WILL GRADUALLY START TO SEE RAIN CHANCES EXIT AND THAT WILL LEAD INTO A COOL MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. SO WATCH SHOWERS THIS MORNING CONTINUE, YOU WILL NOTICE INTENSITY STARTS TO GRADUALLY RAMP UP TO THE DAY AS WE SLOWLY HEAT UP. WE COULD SEE ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. NOTICE HOW THESE ARE RANDOMLY SCATTERED WITHOUT REALLY FOCUSED AREA OF LIFT. WE WILL SEE THESE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SWING FROM WEST TO EAST, KWIK DOWNPOURS ARE POSSIBLE, MAYBE LIGHTNING WAS SOME OF THAT. OVERNIGHT WE SEE MORE SHOWERS ROTATE FROM THE NORTHWEST, TEMPERATURES DROPPED TO THE MID 30s AND AS WE WORK OUR WAY INTO MONDAY MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND A LOT OF US STRUGGLE TO WORK IT OUT OF THE 70 DEGREE MARK. THE COOL AND DRY PATTERN CONTINUES FOR THE MIDDLE PART OF THE WEEK BUT WE SEE A PATTERN SHIFT THAT STARTS TO BUILD IN BY THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. BY THAT POINT WE STAY DRY BUT THE TEMPERATURES HEAT OUT. YOU CAN SEE THAT IN YOUR SEVEN-DAY FORECAST AFTER WE GET PAST THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS , WITH HIGHS IN THE LOW 70s, WE START TO WORK OUR THE MID-WA70Y
