day in my life | flight attendant for breeze airways

plane tour good morning mon good morning so yes I'm resigning to with Breeze and it's not because I dislike the company or dis like the job in fact I love the job I highly recommend it so if anyone is watching this and aspiring to work with Breeze going to training soon that I'm super excited for you it's a whole separate thing to talk about sorry if it's loud that I don't really want to waste too much time on but basically I'm starting new Endeavors so the chapter of flight attendant will be ending kind of prematurely cuz I'm really sad about it but it's okay basically today we are doing a charter operation I love Charter Charters um Charters are mainly for norfol and New Orleans my base is norfol Virginia it is 62 and I am leaving way earlier than my check-in time and sometimes the traffic is like yeah I forgot to mention that this is just a one-day trip so um my check time 7:15 and we should be back around 4 4 p.m. I did a little coffee run it's just black coffee with a little bit of fat free um french vanilla and then I got some water because I forgot my freaking water bottle today which sucks but whatever and then I also got this bacon sizzly thing I don't do this all the time y'all cuz I usually like have a good lunch packed but I love when I go into work and the sun's like coming up like I don't know I just love it [Music] someone went down the wrong way on this little loop-de-loop thing so we're just waiting for him and don't mind the bird on my windshield I was freaking wrong the charer is tomorrow today is a commercial flight with which is fine cuz it's still easy so I'm hoping to be fa 2 cuz that's my favorite position but they're all easy so oh my God I'm probably going to take these off even though my pimples look horrendous so we're on the plane we're about to board we're going to IP Long Island and then Portland Maine um and it's like a breeze through and then we're going to like go Portland Main back to icelet back to war so easy stuff fully catered everything is great you know plane tour we have two different types of aircraft right now so this is the E90 but I believe they're trying to transition all to 8 to 20s but this is a 2X two configuration with extra leg room and economy I did all my pre-flight and everything which is what you have to do every time you get on an aircraft I'm sorry about the grossness so I'm like super sad about leaving I'm so excited and I feel so blessed and extremely grateful that I'm able to fly a little bit more before I finish and resign but a few words that I will say to Aspire and F attendance is go for it it's such a great industry it's such a great job um me personally I don't want to do this through retirement but it's such a good experience to do especially when you're young and flexible single especially but I'm not saying that someone with family or kids can't do it cuz you can it's up to you and your life style we did a little crew briefing and I were boarding so I can't believe my breakout I can't believe it so for fa positions number one would be at the front by the cockpit number two would be in the back which is what I am and number three which is my good friend Anthony in the middle an exit row he will be giving an exit row briefing and I will be saying one of the boarding announcements and fa1 in the front just kind of greets people so I know I look d be tired but that's the life of a fa you're going to be tired sometimes [Music] boing so as you heard we're boarding that's how you like let other the FL It's s in the cabin you're going to be boarding like I said before we had a crew briefing so that's when one of the pilots will brief you on weather flight time Etc all that stuff um our flight time today is 50 minutes um elapsed like flying time but gate to gate I think it's like an hour and 11: almost all boarded up so we're going to do this leg and we'll see whenever I can talk to you guys [Music] again let's finished our first leg and is a breas through and the crossed seat belts and getting ready to board and turn this plane around iPad and this is the payment device where people tap to buy snacks say hi Anthony hello the plane look how pretty pretty the blue is and this is just um the E90 aircraft so imagine the a220 which is the nicer one yeah this is how some of the Jet Bridge connects they have like this thingo so we're on the third leg so we're in Portland Main we're going back to where are we going ex-wife move we're going to IP New York and then we're going to go back to nor process is just the same we're just boarding again I'm pretty sure it's going to be Breeze through so like people will be coming from Portland Main to I slip some people will get off at I slip but some people will stay on the aircraft and continue on to Nori with us home based baby it's been a good day shout out to Cody Ryan and Anthony probably tell I have bags under my eyes I am tired but like when you like your job it's like not that bad you know you get through it so especially when you have good crew so we are on our last leg we're going back home to North it's been such a great day great crew so let's ready up this plan and go home okay guys so I just got out of the airport I'm on the road back home headed back home but I caught traffic which I kind of expected because of the time right now the appellations are still tuning in other than that today was such a good day today was such a good day I enjoyed my crew I had a great crew and I didn't even really know who I was working with because I thought I had a charter today so that's tomorrow and I already know the captain that I'm going to be flying with tomorrow tomorrow for my Charter but I don't have um haven't flown with the other flight attendants I feel like this video might be a little boring because it's not like an overnight so I'm not like staying at a hotel to do like a hotel room tour and show you guys um but that was the day of a life if a breeze flight attendant you guys enjoyed I hope is informative for people that needed it to be I will give a little bit information of why I said in the beginning that I was planning on resigning and like I said has nothing to do with the company Breeze I've enjoyed my time they're a startup and they're still growing and I believe in them I think they're going to do great as a company if they keep going how they are so I do recommend anyone who's aspiring to be a flight attendant um or just work in aviation with the company I do recommend however be prepared that if you've never been a fight attendant before that not everything is as is as glamorous as the rule may seem and you're going to have bad days you're going to have delays you're going to have weather problems you're going to have aircraft problems you're going to have bad um gas sometimes as with any job it has its pros and cons so take everything with a grain of salts um but for the most part like I said it's been a great experience and no matter what you do even if you get in the industry you get on the line and it's not for you then you tried it and you experienced it and that's something under your belt so and you'll meet great people along the way um as well so that's what I can say about fight attending in general not even just with Breeze but also with a breeze so but my reason for resigning is um I want to take School more seriously and um I'm planning to be a dental assistant soon that way I can get more um time in a dental office because I am in school for dental hygiene so that's what I would like to do as well as I have other side jobs that I do I don't feel I can juggle flight attending and I feel like it's just a perfect time for this chapter to close I always knew I would never wanted to retire and do this forever but it was definitely great as a young person um and the best thing is you don't need college or anything just graduate high school keep filling out applications because there will be times where you get denied but you don't know if you don't try um just to be fully transparent I did go to a six-month trade school for flight attending in Washington state um I'll drop I'll drop the link down below to that if anyone's interested this is not by any means necessary to do um I just did it cuz at the time it was like perfect I really enjoyed my time there as well and they had a thing where it was like when you graduate they'll have you'll have more connections to get to land jobs faster but I know a lot of people who got into this industry without that at all just they raw dogged it straight out of high school or just straight out of G you know so I really like that as well about this industry anyone has opportunity to try it so this where we going to
