C A got about five minutes with Brock so questions go ahead Brock what was just going through your mind I know you waited a long time for this St you had to wait a little bit longer so what was going through your moday oh yes sir it was kind of the first time I've ever had like any like monster delay like this so it's definitely different you know like there was several times we were getting up uh putting our shoulder pads on getting ready to walk out all you got to go back uh that happened two or three times so then finally people just took off their shoulder pads like laying on the ground and stuff uh it's just different uh definitely like with mentally like trying to get mentally ready for like three different times stuff like that but uh at the end of the day um both teams had to do it uh so same circumstances and and that was kind of how it was for me as well do you think it took longer to settle into the game once you got out there you had to wait so long well yes sir I wouldn't say if that had like um something to do with it or just first game stuff but uh there was definitely some stuff we had to figure out in that that first uh quarter uh first first and second drive just Personnel um kind of just being lack of daal with that um just um not lack ofical but just some stuff with the the technology that we hadn't ran into yet with crowd noise stuff like that so uh definitely getting into that was good but um you know obviously it's week one we're going to have some stuff to clean up and we'll be looking forward to doing that for week two the QB draws you took a couple of shots did that get you loose and kind of all right we're ready to go now oh yes sir um definitely uh uh two rules like uh going all the way back from high school with my dad and stuff third down and uh for a touchdown obviously you're going to try to go get that but other than that try to protect yourself so just uh maybe I was just a little amped up going in night or something but uh just you know just trying to get some some yards for the boys that ability to keep plays alive in the pocket is that something you've always been able to do or you that uh you know it's just kind of just taking like basically what the defense gives you um wouldn't say it's something I pride myself on or try to do or just constantly thinking about you know uh first and second read all right five times my third read is he there if not obviously try to uh expand the play if um if the rush allows that if the coverage allows that and then obviously those dudes are doing a great job of getting open on the FR in the third quarter you all were taking some shots the third time was the charm what went right on that that long play to jamori that you know maybe wasn't hit early uh jamori um he uh he did his job basically uh win his one-on-one on the perimeter uh give us your best release and then go catch the ball uh I kind of had had ball faked and put my eyes in the middle of the field try to see where that safety was um actually kind of went to like a little four so he was playing down at the boundary but uh zamore he he did his job he won the outside for a split second he was so wide open I was like just don't overthrow him like he's he's he's he's done a really good job at the line to try to put it on him and he'll make a play and uh as yall saw tonight just put anywhere near those dudes and they're going to go they're going to go get it for you it didn't take long for everybody to see bar on there was a concerted effort to get him the ball early in the game oh absolutely I mean that's one of the best players in college football I mean it'd be it'd be remiss if you're not trying to get number seven the ball but uh there's definitely playmakers all over the field out there and uh it's tough I mean I'm glad I'm not calling plays cuz I mean here you're going to try to get the ball to with all those dudes out there so uh really fortunate to have a bunch of those guys that are are are can go and make plays at any given time you said earlier in the week that you were going to be so excited you didn't think you would sleep so two parts here a did you sleep and since this game was going so late oh yeah how how how tired were you going to be then yeah U yeah I mean it's going to be it's going to be tough waking up for church tomorrow to say the least but now last night wasn't the best night's sleep but uh that's it's normal at this point but uh obviously this is way past my bedtime even on a normal night so uh yeah it'll be it'll be rough waking up for church but I mean we'll be there last one Brock uh you is there um when when you finally kind of started going getting into that Rhythm could you could you feel like a change at all um and and do you have any unfinished business knowing like I was getting going and then they they kind of took the game away from me there yes sir um basically just it's kind of just grooving as offense is the thing that I was thinking about and uh just when whenever we're like we want to play fast on offense whenever we're able to get lined up fast um cuz some of those stuff like there's checks on different plays stuff like that and when we're able to line up line up or line up fast and get ready to go then we're able to to get in in different plays and Prime looks that we're looking for so uh whenever we were able to get going fast and moving I mean you can just tell the offense like the O Line's fired up skill guys are fired up we're running the ball better in those occasions so uh kind of just trying to get trying to just find that Tempo that we're looking for and uh there's definitely a happy medium but uh you saw the huddles the fast break huddles stuff like that so just just whatever is working for us is what we're going to try to do all right thanks we'll have Jam Johnson [Music] next okay questions for Jamon Jamon what was it like getting that interception being back on the field you know you're in a different uniform this time walk us through that oh yeah definitely feel good uh they was dragging me up uh I don't know how to say it uh it was riding me down uh two plays in a row I know the second one uh they were trying to get it with my head cuz they had the tight in the first l so uh just try to get a hand on it and know when I seen it still in the air I was uh know I had a chance to get it kind of like deja vu my freshman here Georgia uh my second play of the game I put a interception it was a pick six but I didn't get it this time you seen as much of Brock as anybody here is what we saw tonight what you expect from him how he's played uh yeah you know um Brock first game starting in his career um you know I didn't really had no expectations for him just wanted him to go out there play freely you know what I'm saying uh you know first game first start uh you know he had lot of lot of practice reps but to be live I think he did a good job you know interceptions happen um things like that so you know it only go up from here expectation go on up for here uh opponent next week you got to uh tighten it up just a little bit and you know just keep moving on after your pick you all gave up some third down plays but really after that I saw the second Drive y tighten up did did you all change anything third down what what really started working those third Downs later on uh n you know uh you know first first half you know two hours delay I think that's what got us but you know comeing back to the sideline fig fig figuring out what they figuring out what they uh figuring out what they doing um come to the sideline make a few adjustments and you know take it from there how how did you try to stay walked in during that two-hour delay game it's the game right right record on the line right stay locked in ball is ball who's going to say here to midnight to play we had to you all were pretty walked in against the Run they only had I think it say five rushing yards what what was going right for the run defense uh you know I key key points this week was uh low line of scrimmage you know the line you got to you got to win it you know you win a line of scrim
