welcome welcome welcome to another edition of my TW Lane Dynasty as this week we will be taking on the UAB Blazers here in a conference matchup uh last year when we played the Blazers it was a classic 49 to 42 shootout but you know this year they're at 2 and three we're ranked number six we're at 4 and0 we're getting this game at home after visiting them last year so far on the season I had the big exciting win over LSU with a last minute score um start off the season then beat Duke and Old Miss pretty handedly and then really struggled to put away South Alabama in the last episode there we did Come Away with the victory though then we had our bye but yeah taking on uh UAB they started off their season with a two-point loss to the Kansas Jayhawks um at home then beat rice lost to akan at home lost to Tennessee in a fairly close game uh and then slaughtered Navy before they took their bye heading into this matchup so let's take a look at their roster again it was a major shootout last year uh but they did lose their starting quarterback and he has been replaced with Ricky vanan here um a junior he's uh had a up and down start so far this year 13 touchdowns six interceptions uh it's thr at least one interception in every game see if that's something that we can take advantage of but he's a solid typical guy Big Time arm 96 throw power is very high in this game um but a pretty decent athlete his accuracies are in really good spots I he's not somebody that's going to get overly rattled um at all really the only thing holding back his overall rating is his awareness I running back we got Lee BB Jr shahim Sally and DeAndre Jowers a wide receiver got aari Thomas he torched us for over a 100 yards um last year when we took them on cam Shanks is another returning starter let's see how Thomas has done so far this year he was a problem for us last year former two star recruit uh is having a much better year than he did last year at least on a per game basis right now already got three touchdowns as well been very heavily involved yeah he had a field day against us last year the number three wide receiver is Brandon Buck halter Iverson hooks who was their return man last year and is a Return Man for them this year and got Corey milliner had tied end they had JC Ciy and Caleb Moser along with Joe judge their left tackle is hurt so that's something to watch out for is Matt hilard is dealing with a dislocated ankle so just out for this week and then he'll be back so starting for him is likely here going to be Tennyson Hadfield uh red shirt Jr not a major drop off though that's at least a good thing for the Blazers got some depth there they're also without their starting left guard here and John Darius Morgan said it would be Malachi Glover taking over there a red shirt freshman this got some potential for them for sure at Center they're finally healthy here they got a red shirt freshman with a really good overall here and Kate Martin did he by chance transfer in that's a pretty good pretty good rating for Richard freshman nope okay and uh Right Guard they have zier floro flower noi and at right tackle Barry Walker so a pretty good offensive line but they're missing two guys on the left side uh Quincy Wiggins who's had a great start uh to his year here with us should be able to uh to have some success moving over to the defense they have Emanuel Waller antavius Elder and Joe beckon here at Left End they have Ezra Odin Jor is the right in probably not going to see Brian etn or muhamad office if I had to guess moving over defensive tackle they have Derek Shephard and mcoin Merryweather along with Kyle Mosley so the defensive Line's actually in a pretty good spot um but I think it's something that is exploitable Left Outside lineb they have n Daniel Harris really good athlete um pass coverage guy got pretty good Zone especially for that position and it does have some some pass rush ability um but not a great run Defender just a 57 block shed something to keep in mind if we do notice him out there at a middle linebacker they have Eddie tusum and Tyreek Gregory both of them solid athletes nothing crazy uh they're the field General archetypes are pretty good kind of across the board um tusum is a very good cover guy just in general uh and does have some pass rush ability should they decide to Blitz him Gregory is pretty much just essentially a a Zone linebacker at this point but both of them have good Pursuit and are not bad run Defenders they have ever so Jr rousa Jr here at right outside linebacker again pretty much the same thing a pretty good athlete decent run Defender doesn't have pass rush upside but is a pretty good Zone Defender and that's the same here for tyon mikols uh the true sophomore cornerback they have Tariq Watson he is an impact player for them as a junior Pretty good overall uh did have one interception last year but that was it uh yeah got pretty good size Elite Speed with 97 um doesn't have great size though they mares Collins and Omar Daniels is their top three Marcus Washington and I'm sure Travis Cheryl will all play a little bit though so outside of Waton there's not a lot of elite athletes but they do have some some pretty decent sies here free safety they have Adrien Maddox and Chris bracie both of who are captains with Ricky Lee being the third free safety and uh they have sarod Bryant and AJ Brown yet another AJ Brown that we play this year at strong safety kicker they have Jonah deang and at punter they have Patrick Foley so big uh American Conference matchup here um just kind of peeking ahead um got a lot of them in a row here and we got four straight Row games after this one so this is a a crucial game for us to win before we kind of hit this there not there's lot of great teams here Memphis gave us all we wanted last year rice was very good last year but and of course the USF game is is definitely one we've circled after they did beat us in the regular season last year but yeah four you know one two yeah four games straight on the road in conference before we finish up with three at home is definitely a tough stretch so need to keep the um need to keep the season rolling here in our first uh first American Conference game of the season and since it is is the first home conference game we will go with the uh kind of the baby blue Unis let's see what they're rocking on the road let's see if they have like a uh oh I do like those uniforms too we'll just do the uh let's do the Stormtrooper um look for them yeah definitely excited to get this one coming for you guys um first time I'm recording this two lane Series in a couple days but yeah get this game at home in the American Conference as we see the baby blue uniforms come out again here for two lane uh some of my favorite jerseys in all of college football and looking forward to taking on UAB and their Stormtrooper white so a lot of white helmets on the field today hopefully that doesn't uh fuse either one of these quarterbacks or does I hope that it is van and not Ty Thompson um yeah let's get it rolling and see who is uh going to start off with the the ball and looks like it will be the green Wade starting it off there a kickoff from Del Lang is hit back and we got Lewis on set to return going to take it from about the three want to get tackled down to the 18 as we see coach Browns two lane offense come out here Tai Thompson coming off of a four passing touchdown week last last uh last episode um first time all year he's been in the positives thanks to my outstanding decision making positive in the touchdown interception ratio but let's get things started it's a two tight end look wide receiver Mario Williams in motion he takes to carry but gets brought down really quickly there by Emanuel Waller Mario Williams tried to uh wait to see whether or not that block was going to get held by Balman on the outside and that little bit of hesitation allowed Waller to make the play D Lane Now quickly coming out in the three tight end set Ty Thompson takes the snap it's a Manor on the catch takes that for a gain of 11 and sets up a third and one here first third down spot in the game and two lane comes out in a double stack wide receiver set Kai Hughes gets his first Carry of the day and is barely able to take that for a first down before he's brought down by Merryweather again I think it's a defensive front that two lane can take advantage of um with the Run game just have to see if that holds true Thomson takes the snap gets that over to Preston nice catch and run there another first down for two [Applause] lane it's now a four wide receiver set the first one of the day Thompson takes the snap going try to scramble up but he is going to get sacked by Waller already making excuse me Merryweather I thought that was Waller there uh both of them making an early impact on the game though now a three wide receiver set Hughes in the back field with Thompson Thompson takes the snap it's a screen to a maner he is brought down quickly on that play for a short gain that will set up a third and 10 here for the Green Wave Thompson comes out with a four wide receiver set here on the third and 10 Thompson takes the snap going to try to slide that one over to iron maner but that one gets knocked away and two lane will punt for the first time today Carol's kick booted away inside the 10er they going to be able to Corral it they do not it bounces in the end zone for a touch back on the punt and bamb bean in this Blazers offense here comes out for their first offensive possession not a crisp offensive drive there for for two lane let's see if their defense has a uh a better start in this one it's a three wide receiver set to open things up and it is a carry on the first play to BB who gets brought down by Chris Rogers it's a game of two and again like most teams in this conference they immediately hurry it up it's going to be a play action to BB bamb throws it out wide gets Iverson hooks for a gain of three it sets up a third and five here still of course that three wide receiver set sends his running back in motion and it's a deep shot over the middle tried to get C Shanks there but van buen off on his throw UAB now will also [Applause] punt got Lewis will call for the fair Catch and Tain will start off this possession at their own [Applause] 32 Ty Thompson this two- Lane offense come out in the four wide receiver set Thompson takes the snap on a face to Blitz get it off to I maner with a heck of a throw from Thompson taking across Midfield big first down play there for for two lane he's again now in that same formation it's a first and 10 Thompson takes the snap they set up a screen to Hughes Hughes do not get the block there though just a gain of four it's now a two tight end said is Gunter joins this offense on the field it's a carry to Hughes Hughes it'ss a gain of three there they are staring at another third and three they're unable to convert their last third down Thompson takes the snap going to get that over to Al maner that's pick off as the linebacker runs over it at the runs under it at the perfect time Tyreek Gregory right place at the right time Thompson had the throw he wanted linebacker just follows the running back out into the flats and that is taken for a pick there see if we can get a look at the replay we do not Gregory just undercut it just bad timing there for Thompson and the Blazers now come out three wide set in the pistol formation and it's a draw to BB he gets shut down by a host of Green Wave Defenders they now maneuver over to the shotgun it's going to be a run BB gets some rooms able to take that one outside finally gets pushed out of bounds by fobs white but it sets up a third and three quick pass out to the right shot right side excuse me completed to cam Shanks for a first down for UAB continuing with the hurry up here it's a carry to BB able to get really good blocking there and he takes that for a first down BB running with physicality this kilo was not able to meet him in the hole for the tackle V about to pass it throws it over to his tight end cly takes that for a first down UAB now inside the 20 at the 18 looking to put the first first points on the board bamb looks to the sideline for the call and it is a hand off to B who gets excellent blocking going to take that into the end zone but there is a flag on the play they'll be called for offensive holding on the score there by Barry Walker who's getting the start due to an injury as now we see shahim Sally come in it's RPO to him Iverson hooks able to take that RPO sets it back up as a second and 10 play now and beran has been very decisive with his decision making so far in this one three wide receivers set out of the shotgun it's a carry to Sally who gets really good blocking again takes for roughly a gain of four but the Blazers are dealing with another injury here to Jordan Davis along the offensive line that injury of course does give to Lane a chance to reset a little bit here it's an empty set so another flag on the play looks like it's going to be another penalty on Walker and since that pass was not completed D Lane's not going to give him another chance at the conversion they will Decline and Del delang is out there trying to make the kick here it is up and it is barely good looks like it may have even glanced in off the upright as the Blazers take a three nothing lead two Lane's offense is off to a pretty poor start here need a rebound as Lewis takes the kick from about the two able to take it for a gain of about 20 there and two lane is back out on offense been a very very slow start forced a punt and then Tai Thompson was picked off on the last drive this is a Jet Sweep over to Mario Williams but he is not able to get around Collins just a gain of three now a three wide receiver set here for Thompson second and seven he takes the snap he's going to try to just dump that off to Balman who cannot catch it through contact we set up a third and seven now empty set here for Thompson takes the snap he's going to try to get that inside knocked away two Lane's going to have to punt again really really sloppy start for the Green Wave that'll be taken for a fair catch by Jaylen [Applause] Rogers been a very poor day so far for tane and be says is running back in motion and that time he is able to get it out to Amar Thomas who of course hit the centry mark against us last year had a Defender underneath but unable to make the play three wide receiver set here it's another RPO across the field Iverson hooks it's a good block out there by Shanks takes that for a first down Blazers first and 10 it's a play action pass to BB gets that over the middle and it is completed to a mar Thomas no pressure on that play at all from two lane and calling audible here it's a play action going to try to dump this one out a low throw Falls incomplete second and 10 now for the Blazers this is going to be a carry to BB trying to take it out wide this time he gets wrapped up in the back field a loss of one as Mai Williams was on the tackle third and 11 here D Lane looking for another third down stop going to try to get this one out wide it is completed Iverson hooks gets taken out of bounds and UAB will have to attempt another field goal with the he just barely made his last one the kick is up sneaks it in uab's up six to nothing and tane has shown very little life on offense so far Lewis back to return it Lewis found some green grassp and ran into one of his own blockers now a two tight end pistol set for Thompson it's going to be a hand off to Hughes got a little hole able to show off the burst there and he takes that for a first [Applause] down that'll be the end of the first quarter UAB up six to nothing in two-lane rebound from that poor first quarter and get things going here to start the second quarter they do have the ball and they come out with a four wide receiver set here to start the second quarter Thompson takes the snap going to dump this off to PR P's able to get around Collins there takes that for an easy big time first down game [Music] Hughes is still out there a lot of guys in the Box including bringing up a safety and it's still a run to Hughes who gets a little bit of blocking there runs into his own lineman only ends up being a twoy game for wide receiver set Thompson takes the snap he's going to throw that one low to IM Manor who makes a great adjustment on that one had to throw that one down low so it did not get picked off really nice play there all around from both guys good throw good decision out maner with a really nice adjustment fourth Catch of the Day for him as this carry goes to Hughes able to take a little slight cut back there makes it a gain of four tane is driving for the first time today Thompson now calls an audible takes this snap going to get that over to I Manor I Manor able to take it down to the one thought he might score on that [Music] play two lane looking to put their first points of the day on the board it is a carry to Hughes Who Walks Into The End Zone and two lane has tied it up with the maai Hughes Oney touchdown after a really nice drive from the Green Wave able to balance out the the run and the pass there I Manor made a couple of really big catches Jane now looking to go up top if hman can make his extra point and Hyman's kick is up and it is good the true freshman's been largely solid here to start off his [Music] career Carol now out for the kickoff kicks it into the End Zone Rogers takes it for a [Applause] Touchback here's a three wide receiver set with BB play action throws that one up the seam Amari Thomas had a chance to make the catch took a nice hit there from Altis or Jaden Lewis excuse me able to knock it away it's an empty set back field able to get this one on the whip route Iverson hooks heavily involved in the game plan so far in this one going to be a play action to Hooks and Jesus Machado with an absolutely or excuse me Chris Rogers with an insane interception on that play bamban tried to find the seam route Rogers in the right place at the right time let's take a look at it again the junior it's having a great campaign fourth interception of the Year gives to Lane a chance now to extend their lead [Applause] Thompson in empty set he takes the snap this is going to be completed his tight end ballman taking up for a gain of Eight Second and two Thompson the four wi said he hands it off to Hughes Hughes get some really good blocking there easily getting the first down [Music] run Hugh still in the back field with Thompson it's an RPO tries to get it out to PR PR's able to break it to the inside now back out that cannot shake Adrien Maddox on the back end but it is another first down for two lane Thompson the four wide takes the snap just out over to p p does catch it it's a short four yd [Applause] catch been a very Thro happy start for two lane here this is another carry to Hughes able to take that makes it a third and inches gain of about five on that play easy four wide set again he drops back he's going to tries to throw the RPO but it gets picked off by Chris bracie as there was no block out there from F to set that up brace he jumped it thankfully for two Lan and that was not taken back for an interception Ty Thompson with his second interception of the first half UAB comes out in three wide receiver set here out of the shotgun it's a carry to BB does take that for a gain of five for he is finally brought down it's another carry to BB who gets a little bit of a hole takes it for a gain of four able to fall forward there Bunch set to the left it's a pass he tries to take the Deep shot but he overthrows cam Shanks who was wide open B Be couple of deep passes have not worked out well at all for UAB Lewis now back to receive the punt Tes it for maybe a gain of two as tan will come out with the ball at their own 26 two interceptions from Thompson that one ruining what was another really good drive from him and the offense Thompson is a stretch out to Hughes there a flag on the play [Applause] and it will be a holding as expected this one by Landry Canon the Right Guard it's now a first and 20 look for the Green Wave what do they try to do to get some of this yardage back Thompson takes the snap they set up a perfectly timed screen as Hughes is able to get a CH all of that and more makes it a second and four four Thompson takes the snap got a little pressure tries to dump that one to ey Manor but throws it too low try to hit that dig several times largely has been good but that throw was a little off from Thompson he takes the snap just dumps off the drag to a Manor who takes it easily for the first down plus a lot [Music] more less than three minutes left here in the first half a three wide receiver set Thompson takes the snap tries to get it up to Hughes it's a gain of three now closing in on the two-minute warning to Lane trying to extend their lead Clayton Johnson out there he gets the screen thankfully Waller was out there in coverage that is certainly not his specialty Thompson here with a three wide receiver set he takes the snap he's going to try to LOF that one over the top to pressed in but it is knocked away knocked Away by Omar Daniels sets up a second and 10 here for the Green Wave Thompson with a bunch that to his right he takes the snap dumps this one off to Mario Williams and Williams for the first time today really able to get some space around him takes that one for a first down [Music] a carry this time to Hughes Hughes has got a lot of blocking Hughes tries to get to the edge knocked out at the two finally a big explosive run for them in this first half [Applause] Thompson takes the snap tries to Lava ball over that's going to be caught throws the fade to a Manor who gets the feet in able to make a really nice spin around touchdown there see if they May review it to see if that foot is out of bounds but it looks like he gets it Down live lofted a ball over to the Stanford transfer looks like he got both feet in bounds julan able to extend their lead and they will review it I think he's in [Music] bounds giving this man a chance to make a play on the ball and it is confirmed imman's kick is up and it's good it's a 14-6 lead 4 two lane really need a big defensive stop here as UAB will start with possession Rogers takes that for a Touchback van be missed two deep balls that could have been game-changing plays cross back the pass here he's going to get sacked Quincy Wiggins finally making his presence known as this one B takes a seven yd loss there b quickly takes the snap and again misses his throw to hooks there looks like hooks in the tight end Sylvie kind of bumped into each other throwing off the timing of that route pistol set here now for Van be and he sends Hooks In Motion it's going to be a carry to BB who get taken down after a gain of six and two lane will call the timeout as UAB is forced a [Applause] punt and Foley does get the punt Away really nice one is Lewis able to make the first two guys miss trying to utilize his speed takes it up past the 40 let's see what two lanes see how they try to operate here a minute and two left they throw a wow he tries to throw a screen Williams had room to run the pass Falls [Applause] incomplete for wide set Thompson takes the snap going to get this over to Preston is completed a gain of [Applause] seven to Lane going to hurry it up here Thompson with third and three he takes the snap going to try to get this one to I Manor who was unable to bring it down but two lane in this situation with how their defense is play and they are going to go for the conversion fourth and three opportunity here Lane takes the snap going to fit that into I Manor who makes a nice sliding catch able to get the conversion Thompson quickly sets up they take the snap he's going to try to Loft that to Williams who is unable to make it as that ball gets knocked Away by the excellent ter Washington or Tariq Washington maybe just a little bit too much air put under that ball Mario Williams beat him off the line Thompson takes the snap going to try to scramble away but he's going to get sacked Lane is going to call their second time out of this first half the D Lane really just trying to get some similar to field goal range going to dump this off quickly to his tight end who gets blown up at the [Applause] 37 they're going to send Hyman out there to attempt a 54 yd field goal I me kick is up no good just fairly short there but we will go to halftime with Tain holding on to a 14-6 lead we see maai Hughes with an excellent first half including a score two interceptions from Tai Thompson have definitely helped UAB stay in the game as we see the huge score and then this was the touchdown pass to IM Manor from Thompson see that's going to be just a nice completion over the middle topr but yeah the two lanes defense has played really excellent so far in this one uh the offense has just been pretty lackluster uh so far not been a very inspired performance as Rogers has to take that one for a Touchback again van beard and this Blazers offense will start off at the 25 three wide receiver pist Miss will set van Bean's able to get that one out L Tillery quick on the tackle but it's a gain of six of course the hurry up from UAB they drop back the pass he's going to get [Applause] sacked didn't see who got the sack there might have been lung the quick hurry up it's now a third and 10 he's going to get sacked again Quincy Wiggins sacks on backto back plays and an excellent start for the two-lane defense again as UAB is going to be forced to [Applause] punt Lewis back there to receive it he breaks the first tackle tries to Juke its way around the defense there but it will be a first and 10 right at Midfield at the 49 two tight end set Mario Williams in motion it's a hands of jet pass to Hugh the Williams it does not get a whole lot of room there Williams is having a tough day he's been matched up with Watson one of the few Corners in this conference that can go step for step with him Thompson hands it off to Hughes on the draw Hughes makes a nice couple of cuts there there makes it a third and one Thompson the bunch that to his right he takes the snap try to L this one over to Williams Williams able to catch it in space utiliz his acceleration there to take that for a big gain Bunch set again to the right Thompson takes the snap it's a off to Hughes who gets really good blocking takes that for a gain of [Applause] six almost feels like for the first time in this one this two-lane offense is kind of getting rolling double stack wide receiver look Clay Johnson in the back field with Thompson he will get the carry takes it to the left side and of about five there and it's another Green Wave first down [Applause] [Music] Thompson now for wide receiver set he takes the snap it's going to be just a hand off to Hughes tries to get a little bit up the middle gain of three it's a second and seven Thompson now in the empty set takes the snap going to get that over I Manor who takes it in for a score two lane has extended their lead here early in the second half I maner with his second touchdown of the day nine catches 103 yards and they are going to review the score again they just don't want IM maner to be great they don't want to accept his greatness that's looks like a touchdown they're going to say he's down at the one [Music] don't know about that but it's a four wide receiver set here for two lane and an effort to show them they were delaying the inevitable a direct snap to Hughes his second Russian score of the day makes it a 21- six lead now for to Lane the way their defense is playing that might be enough to get away with this one it's been very different from the matchup from last year which was a shootout at UAB this has been a lot more defense in particular from the two lane side of things it is a three wide receiver shotgun set the carry to BB finally gets chased down by Wiggins it's a gain of three of course a little hurry up action some play action he's going to get sacked Quincy Wiggins his third sack of the day is making a ton of plays third and 16 now and buen you almost have to just give up this possession right they do try to screen out to BB he's able to turn it back inside as kilo forced it the UAB is going to have to punt again two Lan defense has played an exceptional day of football so far as Foley gets the punt away Lewis just going to call the fair catch it's another good start of field position here 4 to Lane Thompson a four wide receiver set takes the hand off and it goes to Hughes Hughes again with a nice cut back breaks the first tackle takes that for a gain of [Applause] eight been a really good day for him on the ground now a double stack wide receiver look here Thompson takes the snap it's going to be another hand off to Clayton Johnson Clayton Johnson with the second Good carry of the day been a very slow start this year for the senior has not had near the efficiency he did last year when he was as good as almost any running back in the country Tree on a per carry basis Clayton Johnson still out here as Ty Thompson's got a bunch set to his right it's another carry to Clayton Johnson gets good blocking there takes that for a gain of [Applause] five Thompson with that Bunch said he takes the snap going try to LOF that one over to Mario William who does get the catch there's a flag on the play looks like it might be another holding call and it is Derek Graham this time now it is a second and 15 Ty Thompson this two lane offense trying to get a little bit of this back still got a bunch that over to the right Thompson takes the snap want to get that over to is man or Tred to he is able to cat it makes it a third and [Applause] [Applause] three third and three empty set here Thompson going to take the snap going to go over the top to I Manor who makes the grab and gets his second touchdown of the day the third and three UAB put everybody at the line of scrimmage and instead of just going for the short conversion Tai Thompson decides to go for the dagger IAM Manor has had another massive game here got matched up against Maris Coulson on or excuse me Collins on that play able to beat him and takes that for an easy score imman's kick is up and it is good 28-6 lead now as tan is trying to completely put this game away errol's kick Rogers Deep In The End Zone he takes it for another touch back pistol set here for Van Beren them couple of deep shots he missed in the first half for now really starting to affect this game BB's First Carry taking for a gain of seven before he is brought down by Hamilton empty set BB out wide to the left that's a really nice throw over to Amari Thomas from Van and I thought thought at first he maybe had overthrown him there now it's back to a three wide receiver set BB back in the back field and be takes the snap oh and he does get the pass out to Thomas who breaks the first tackle takes that for a first down alter Smith not able to bring him down kilo almost jumped that underneath be the last play of the third quarter here they won't get the snap off to Lane heads into the fourth quarter up 28-6 Blazers finally putting together another offensive Drive their first one they've had in a while we see two lane up there at number six creeping up on the top five not necessarily sure if their performance today warrants it but you know I move to the top five without some help up top re wide set it's a carry to BB he's going to get wrapped up in the back field as he finally gets chased down by lungs after Tillery makes the initial contact three wide set up again bamb with BB in the back field it's a play action pass that Ball's going to be picked off again by Rogers believe that is his fifth interception of the Season as he begins to wave goodbye to the UAB sideline and just a really bad decision there thre it right to Rogers at least on the first interception that was more of a great play from Rogers that was just a really poor decision his tight end never had a chance there now with a little over 10 minutes left here in this one two lane up three scores it's a carry to Hughes who gets a big rushan Lane now is over the century mark first really big game he's had in a while four wide receiver set here Thompson takes the snap it's Mario Williams on The Middle screen Mario Williams shows a little bit of burst there takes it for a gain of four now this forward wide receiver look again Thompson it's another hand off to Hughes goes straight up the gut takes it for a gain of four four wide Thompson takes it Thompson's just going to scramble for a first down here is pushed out of bounds after the first down could have maybe taken the Deep shot there to Mario Williams but no reason to put the ball into Harm's Way Thompson takes the snap and be able to get that throw out to Williams but it falls incomplete four wide set again this time it's going to be a carry to Hugh though who gets a large rushing Lane again going to take that for another first down hes had a very impressive day the offensive line had a couple of holding calls but they have done really really well in this run game this is going to be a carry to Clayton Johnson takes it right up the middle shakes out the safety and he's going to take that in for a score Shady Clayton Johnson extends two lanes lead and that should be the dagger in this one let's take a look at this run again from Clayton Johnson this is Big Time excellent juke move there runs away from the Defenders that's going to be a score from him Hyman's kick is up and it is good 35-6 lead now for the Green Wave lasers have been able to do very very little on offense here as hooks is going to have to take that one for a [Applause] Touchback they had a couple of chances at big plays Van Buren missed the throws one of which almost for sure at least would have been a touchdown this is a really nice throw up the middle though completed to Amari Thomas who has again got to be getting closer to the century mark for the second straight year against to Lane three wide receiver said he drops back to pass it able to make a really nice throw to Shanks who takes that for a big game takes three two lane players to take Shanks down third catch for third 38 yards it's another three wide receiver set for Van takes the snap it's going to be a hand off to BB who gets wrapped up by Bry the transfer from [Applause] Liberty it's going to be another carry for BB this Rogers overruns the play thankfully got some good help by Altus Smith out there sets up a third and three empty set look here for the Blazers it's going to be a screen to Shanks who gets good blocking takes that inside the 10 to the eight UAB looking to get their first touchdown of the game here it's another empty set and be takes the snap it's going to be a flag on the play as he gets sacked Again by Wiggins it's going to be a holding to Lane will decline that one as Wiggins gets his fourth sack of this game going to be a run to BB here on second down gets chased down by Rogers and Kil go third and goal now from the 15 this is four down territory obviously regardless for the Blazers it's a run to BB looks like there might be another holding up a screen to the other side no burst from Moser there though only a gain of one on a pretty well set up screen he has very minimal athleticism now less than three minutes it's a fourth and goal from the 18 going to throw that one at 101 covers knocked Away by Smith to Lane will get the ball back TI Thompson and this offense now definitely just looking to run out the clock it's going to start off with a carry to Hughes who gets really good blocking up front takes that for a gain of eight now back out here in this pistol formation it's a carry wide the Hugh is able to out run the Defenders to the outside tries to cut back inside up to 148 yds now on 20 carries as Tain now gets into the twom minute warning with a big lead game is definitely a formality at this point uh two Lane's offense got off to a really slow start in this one the defense has been outstanding the whole time did give up two field goals in the first quarter but I mean Blazers really could not do a whole lot and this one um yeah couple of interceptions from Thompson helped keep UAB in the game and uh just some kind of sloppy play on third Downs early but two lane rebounded really nicely here in the second half was a big day for I maner not a whole lot really going on for Mario Williams but uh the two backs here for two lane have been excellent um Hughes and Clayton Johnson both found the end zone but both found some rushing Lanes as well this is likely to be the last snap of the game it's going to be a run to Hughes who takes that gets him over 150 yards on the ground and that will do it in this one is two lane is going to come away with a 35-6 win but was a defensive battle through two and a half quarters a couple of scores from two lane we really able to separate this one as the Green Wave have gotten off now to a 1 and0 start in the American Conference and now they head off to USF next week in a hopeful Revenge game and but four straight road games uh on the schedule for two lane Hughes as your player of the game over 150 yards and two scores on the ground this is Clayton Johnson with a really nice touchdown run there this is the Deep ball to IM Manor with the touchdown there as well well yeah really big day from a couple of our star players yeah would typically use Hughes but I want a shot of this uh touch down over yeah let's take a look at the stats here in this one um UAB did almost nothing on offense tane easily was the better team today um Tai Thompson goes 27 to 38 306 yards two touchdowns two interceptions uh so turnovers continue to be an issue huge 21 for 153 and two scores leton Johnson 6 for 60 in a score Thompson did have one scramble uh put him in positive yardage at least Al Manor had a big day 11 catches 152 yards and two touchdowns Williams just 6 for 40 were not able to get him going GRE 3 for 38 Balman two for 20 Preston two for 23 Hughes two for2 out of the backfield Clayton Johnson had a 13 yard catch as well out of the back field uh bit of a rough day for Derek Graham had two holding penalties caught on him but it's just Shad Dre Hurst gave up the only sack um defensively ransaw with eight tackles Wiggins with a seven tackle five tackle for loss four and a half sack performance uh again the Colorado transfer had 14 sacks last year for the Buffs is uh now with us thankfully uh seven tackles for Tillery six for Lewis six and a tackle for loss for green of course uh luns had three tackles two tackles for loss and a half sack Chris Rogers with a four tackle two interception performance uh see luns with two tackles for loss Williams and bran green with a tackle for loss four and a half sacks for Wiggins again and a half sack for luns and two interceptions from Rogers having a great year uh definitely living up to the height that I had set for him UAB is a bad day for Van be 17 to 26 208 yards no tutes two picks missed a couple of balls that could have led to touchdowns um for them down the field just did not show the Deep accuracy that I was expecting from him on the ground BB took 14 carries for 51 yards did a really nice job with him Baron be obviously with a lot of sack yardage loss uh Sally W Carri for four yards through the air Amari Thomas just barely missed the century mark uh but a five catch 93 yard performance he's a really good ball player hooks five for 40 Shanks four for 48 one catch for one yard from Moser SII had a 19 yard catch and BB had one catch out of the back field for seven yards that's some guys that really struggled Barry Walker had a rough day three sacks had two penalties called against him uh defensively Maddox with a 16 tackle performance bracie 12 tackles and had one of the interceptions to some had 10 tackles nine for Collins we had a Waller here with a four tackle three tackle for L sack in a half performance and Gregory had four tackles and an interception Waller and Merryweather combined on those sacks and they each were the ones with all the tackles for losses and again Gregory embracing with interceptions but yeah really nice win here for uh for two lane um able to take care of business at home even if it wasn't maybe exactly what we were hoping it was going to be but a win is a win is a win as we do get some coach points there and uh I've already done recruiting for the week let's see if there's any just coach abilities I maybe want to dip my toes in real quick pretty well we maxed all the recruiting stuff out that we can right now let's uh see change of pursuit there 10 really want to do the motor Vader one this is more of the the really good like XP one but you do have to do the motivator at least a couple points into there I believe yes sping 25 and motivator let's do um say pin move I'm not really worried about that right now uh let's go ahead and just unlock motivator so won't be able to dip any points into that but let's Advance the week see if we move into the top five and let's see if we get any commits and we do get a commit from a fivar halfback Eric Browning so we'll go over him Trey buo another festar for two lane showing their love to us early we did lose cheridor fivestar middle linebacker that I really want it we really need um so that one hurts and then we lose Eli copen free safety so Championship contenders moving up we're definitely continuing to to grow as a program Quincy Wiggins your conference defensive player of the week going to assume yes correctly that he is the national defensive player of the week excellent game for him that's a big matchup and we have moved into the top five currently ranked number four let's see what kind of let's take a look at the recruits we got so brought in Eric Browning number one uh running back in the country from Louisiana uh Alabama and TCU really got in on him late we were on him early for whatever reason they were not uh good pass catcher good agility uh good acceleration not like any Elite level athlete I don't think but should fit in very nicely for for Hughes whenever that time comes if Hughes were to leave this is a instant starter I believe for us um and it's probably going to to you know probably going to play regardless with Clayton Johnson uh leaving and then Trey Bueno the 99 speed 93 acceleration 6'1 wide receiver this is a uh a day one impact player as well so the two first two five stars we've gotten um in this class both of them really liked us to begin the year for whatever reason and we are currently have the 15th ranked recruiting class um yeah I'll do the other recruiting off screen Let's uh let's take a look at the top 25 scores and then we'll do the top 25 just kind of looking over the whole thing as far as where people are ranked now so we had Louisville with a big victory here there at 4 and one at Virginia Tech in a huge match up of two top 10 teams at the time Virginia Tech now fell to 11th Maryland gets absolutely smacked by Nebraska 40-7 Indiana with a big win there at home over UCLA Wisconsin upsets Oregon at Oregon uh Alabama takes care business against Vanderbilt Kansas over Arizona in a type matchup there USC over Michigan big win for the Trojans they're up to number 12 Clemson loses to SMU gets upset their second loss of the season South Carolina with an impressive win at LSU Boston College Over Georgia Tech NC State with a big road win here over Miami FAU beats UTSA the road runners with their first loss of the season now ranked at 13th pit over Stanford us over UAB Tennessee over Syracuse Arkansas Over Texas A&M Utah over Baylor West Virginia over Colorado in a tight game and Georgia puts it on Kentucky 56 to 21 so yeah we're up to the number 14 the country so right now your top 10 is Georgia Penn State Tennessee T Lane Louisville Utah Indiana Kansas Kansas State and Alabama so very interesting definitely some some of the big dog programs right then you got some of those of us that are trying to like Fringe get there you know us in Louisville Utah is definitely continuing to climb Indiana has been impressive in this series coming out of nowhere the two schools from Kansas and this is with the Jayhawks having to replace you know a couple of their top in guys um Devin Neil is already gone Jaylen Daniels is gone and they're still impressing at least right now they're at three and two but ranked eighth Alabama also ranked 10th at 3 and two we'll kind of glance down some of the rest of this uh UTSA with their loss USC has looked really good pit is looking good West Virginia is looking good Boston College uh bit of a weird top 25 for sure as we've gotten early into the season a lot of teams are really struggling with wins Ian it looks like your four left undefeated teams are Georgia Penn State Tennessee and T Lane don't see anybody else at least in the top 25 so you have to assume there aren't anymore and we'll take a look at our season stats and where they stand now I'm really struggling with the interceptions with Thompson uh 12 touchdowns against nine picks uh but the yardage and the accuracy has still been great uh the yards per attempt should be essentially right dead on what we were last year down down okay down a whole yard wow I did have a really good beep passing season with him um on the ground maai Hughes with his biggest performance probably of the Season there against UAB has been impressive Clayton Johnson finally got back going with an impressive performance in his first score of the year and Tai Thompson of course has three scores on the ground receiving I Manor has now I believe overtaken his yardage from last year he has so I maner now with us just in not even halfway through the season has already produced a better season than he did all of last year with Stanford that was the big reason why he wanted to come here and been successful Mario Williams was a slow day for him but continues to have a really good year see Hughes Preston PR Balman Clayton Johnson then defensively kilgo is by far the leading tackle guy um Green's having a good year Lewis with two picks having a good year Rogers of course having a great year and Quincy Wiggins of course having a great year already up to nine sacks on the season of course four and a half sack performance helps out with that but 13 tackles for loss as well lungs and Hamilton having really good years and yeah Rogers is crushing it with
