Shannon Sharpe Addresses Possible Rift Between Him & Ocho On Nightcap

Intro okay so the other day on night cap after Nebraska blew out Colorado Shannon sharp and oo were going live to do a show however it appeared a few things were really agitating Shannon throughout the show it seemed like he was having a lot of audio issues with the Reverb and oo showing up late for their scheduled podcast I'm going to play you this clip of un getting really teed off with his production crew due to technical issues and then I'm going to play you the heated argument between him and oo and then give you my thoughts and finally afterwards I'll play you a clip of Shannon addressing yesterday's incident to his fans a lot of people were coming at for calling out oo on live and that he never had the same energy for skip basically saying he was doing the same thing to oo Shannon gets mad at Ocho it name was Alex he was really cool really cool dude and um as soon as he opened the car door and he got out the car door to greet me the car door locked by accident the car door locked by accident so I would have been on time but the fact that we had to wait for the tow truck and them to bring the slim gy was the reason for my delay and getting to the hotel a little late but I'm here I'm here that let ask you a question so when you go uh uh when you go to ESPN you go you take you have people pick you up from the airport yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah no you don't uh when you do inside the NFL you have people pick you up from yeah at the beginning yeah no you don't uh so I'm just trying to figure out why with your show would you choose to take that route when you don't take that route for ESP and inside NFL I wouldn't lying I'm I'm dead serious when I fly in Philly I had somebody pick me up from Philly when I Fly New York I have somebody pick me up from New York I'm I'm I'm serious that what they told me I just I just talk hold listen to me now it's documented it's documented I'm just tell you but all you have to do is just search my tweets I've been doing it the past 15 years I always do this I'm not saying that right again oo this part of your show right why would you be late why would you run the risk of being late I want to be late I just told you what happened I would have been on time but due to unfortunate circumstances of him locking the keys in his car which I documented I was just a little late I one why don't you oo why don't you just why wait you want to be comfortable or you want to be profession I don't want to no I want to be comfortable I want to talk to people that I can relate to okay yeah okay I'm just tell but you see here the thing oo you say you want to be professional you want to do ESPN you want to do all these professional things but you want to take a bootleg no no no I want to I want to remain my authentic self the you could tell ank was really pissed off this issue kept happening multiple times throughout the show and at the end of it he just blew up I don't blame him because it's got to be frustrating when you pay a staff to handle basic things like this but these issues keep on recurring anyways un would go on to apologize on today's podcast saying that the issue will never happen again and with that let's go discuss the issue between him and oo regarding tardiness so for me in the beginning when Shannon question oo if you always had a friend pick him up at the airport for First Take Inside the NFL I actually thought he was just saying this in justest however it actually turned out that he was being serious just by looking at his facial expression like you could really tell this annoyed him and rightfully so look I get that the plane being late there was nothing Chad could do about that but his insistence on waiting for a tow truck to help Jimmy the car door lock rather than just taking cap would have pissed me off too if I was in Shannon's shoes I mean you have your co-host and staff all waiting for you but more importantly your fans so I understand how Shannon felt about this he comes from someone who really takes his work seriously I mean we've heard tons of stories about him being so focused on his craft and work he's not the type that goes out at night to party and whatever instead he really hones in on how to improve himself like just take a look at this guy at 50s something years of age this guy's incredibly dedicated to his physical fitness hence you can appreciate where he's coming from so with that said I get the message he was trying to relay to oo about being a professional and taking his job seriously I think he has a huge vision for where he wants to take his two podcasts and is really trying to instill that same energy and work rate he has into oo I mean Chad does come off as the least serious of the two and more of the goofy Joker type and I guess that's what makes this tandom so great how they have great Synergy when they're together so with that said understand the advice Shannon wanted to give his co-host however I just don't like how he did it on air I'm not going to say he was belittling him big dogging oo but it did feel a little weird he could have given him the same message but done so in private I don't see any reason to talk to Chad like the way he did in public especially on a live stream oo did mess up but I don't think he needed to be talked down to like that it's one thing if you continue to joke around about it like how I initially thought it was going but the condescending way he spoke to him I think it really put off a lot of fans anyways thank God Chad is a go happy funloving guy because anyone else this could have turned a lot uglier From oo's perspective I get where he's coming from that he wants to use guys that he knows and is more comfortable with but as soon as something went off schedule like a delay in your flight you need to be able to make adjustments and take a cap to get to your hotel I mean you got your fans and big bro all waiting for you to get your show started it's a pretty interesting Dynamic these two have like I understand this is their show that they do together but we all know it's Shannon's baby at least that's how it's perceived I mean when oo said he documented the fact that his driver locked the keys in the car that had me dead anyways I'm going to play you the clip of Shannon on today's show addressing all the issues from the day Shannon addresses both incidents before look there's been a lot said well you trying to do the oo what skip did the you blah blah blah no what I am going to do is that I'm going to push I'm going to pull I'm going to drag oo to a level that he didn't think he could get to see I heard I saw some of the comments oh oh you too serious it's just a little internet show it's a YouTube show for you that's all you see it as but that's not the vision that I shared with oo when we sat down that's not the vision that oo say oh we can do that yes I say you see what these other guys are getting but I can't go when sit down with these Studios and they says uh okay Shannon what can you do what do you want to do how do you going how do you going to package this what are you looking for because when you go to a studio they want a time slot they want like okay where you what time slot you want to be in and can we account on you being in that slot yes yes absolutely and so I want oo to take it serious I've conveyed this with oo oo I'm not telling breaking Earth you know interrupting your normally scheduled program PR program because I just want oo to understand this is oo's show this is my show and I want him to take it as serious instead of like when he goes on first take be great on first take Inside the NFL be great on those but I want oo to understand we gonna only go as far as he and I can take this thing and the heights that I dream and I think what he's conveyed to me is that we're going to have to do this together but there has to be level of professionalism there has to be a courtesy of being on time I respect his time and I want him to respect because there's a lot of people we started out it was just oo myself one person in the studio and Ash we got 11 people now we got editors we got graphics we got extra producers we got associate producers and so I know y'all took it and tried to run this is a conversation oo and I have had conversation off cameras oo have conveyed to me what he wants to accomplish with night cap all the while expanding his brand and doing First Take I wholeheartedly support
