MY FINAL *Raiders Record Prediction* For 2024! (Bleacher Report Livestream)

ladies and gentlemen boys and girls am I live I believe I'm live right now I'm G to need people in the chat to tell me and I'll introduce myself in a second because I'm sure there's a million people on B report there like who who is this schmuck that I'm looking at talking about the Raiders with the Raider Nation flag and a mug placed just to his right here we're going to get into everything but first I just need to know can you hear me can you see me how are we we doing this beautiful Labor Day it says I'm live I'm just waiting for the notification here to get going and we'll talk about the Las Vegas Raiders I am live let's go what's going on see and hear you great I want people in the chat I see R to Rod I see I don't know how to say that I say JC Gibb I see Dawson miles I see a bunch of people let's get it man okay real quick introduction first of all thank you to bleach report for having me on here this is my first ever live stream on Bleacher Report I uh my name is Rodney as you can see in the bottom left I have a Raider YouTube channel it is all aboard Raiders we're talking all things Raiders The Good the Bad and the Ugly and uh bleach report reached out to me and they said hey we want you to be here for September do some record predictions and some game recap so today for about a half hour we are going to be recap tapping no we're going to be doing the record prediction for the entire 2024 2025 season we're g to go quarter by quarter what do I mean by that we're going four games four games four games four games until we get to that final record we're going to do quarters because that's what AP does AP talks in quarters so we're going to be talking in quarters um as you could see down here that is my YouTube channel to the left or is it to the right for you my right your left all ofo Raiders you can head over there after but for right now stay right here because bleach report is where it's at wow I just got the notification and that's crazy I just got the notification on my phone from Bleach report and that's me wow that's crazy all right so look before we get into the record prediction okay we're going to start with a poll and I want people listen in the chat telling me their thoughts and opinions the Raiders made an interesting decision to go with Gardner m instead of Aiden oconnell right and I made a video a couple days ago discussing that I believe there's a chance that Aiden could start more games than Gardner uh I believe that Aiden was the better quarterback in the preseason in training camp however um however I I I think that they're going with the experience and the mobility so this is the first poll that we're going going out with who do you think will start more games for the Las Vegas Raiders is it Gardner muu is it Aiden oconnell now who do you want to start more do you think that Garder is going to win enough games to stay there for the entirety of the Season or more often than not because here's my thoughts on this before we get into the record I believe it's going to come down to the first four games if we are two and two or better they're going to roll with Garder if we're one and three or 0 and four I think they immediately pull the plug on him so we're going to let that poll run for a little bit here we got people in the chat I see Triple I see Zachary I see J Martinez what's going on what's going on everyone's here I love it I absolutely love it Goldie how we doing I I believe I'm I'm really torn about this again I do think that Aiden was the better quarterback but if Gardner is able to you know people say that josh Allen is great 90% of the time and then 10% he Sugar High Josh Allen if we can get rid of sugar high Gardner muu here the Raiders have a chance to do something decent here so I'm going to let this pull go for a little bit more but for right now it seems as though Garder muu is the heavy heavy favorite here to start more games um Sean says Aiden is a better quarterback for sure I mean again I don't disagree but then Alex comes in and says he has no more no more ability so I agree with that as well okay I'm going to unpin this ball here and we're going to get into the record prediction so like I said if you missed in the beginning we're going to go quarter by quarter which means first four games we're doing chunks here's the thing though the Raiders have a history right ups and downs chaos most of the time right the Raiders have a history of playing one team very very well and that team is the Denver Broncos so when we look at our schedule I'm going two W's right off the bat one October 6th at Denver W one November 24th you're preparing your Thanksgiving meal and you're going to watch the Raiders again beat the Broncos you are crazy if you think I'm going to sit here and predict that for the first time in however many years it's been what is it five six years that the Broncos are finally going to beat us with the rookie quarterback now I'm not here to tell you that Bo Nicks is a bad quarterback he seems to be a little bit better than we initially thought right here's the difference though it doesn't matter if he plays better than we think if he's an above average Quarterback if the team around him and the coach around him is not great look at Justin Herbert there is no doubt about it that Justin Herbert is a better quarterback than anybody that the Raiders had the last 10 years and yet we still beat them just as often as not more often than they beat us which means that you need not only a good quarterback but a good scheme around you coaching wise and Shawn pton hasn't proven anything in terms of being a good coach outside of coaching Drew Brees and they have little to no Weaponry compared to other teams in the division compared to the Raiders so look I'm not getting I'm not taking shots at Bon Knicks he might end up being a great player right it takes more than that and right now the Raiders have the more complete roster that's why immediately right off the rip I'm going two games W's for the Broncos or for the Raiders on both of them okay so these first four games again I think these are crucial to whether or not Garder actually keeps the job right because you start out this game September 8th We Believe Justin Herbert's going to play in this week one game right the reason why I'm leaning towards saying the Raiders come out on top in week one is because there is a sneaky narrative that not a lot of people are talking about and that is Antonio Pierce versus Jim Harbaugh right Jim was the only other coach the Raiders considered hiring instead of Antonio Pierce and there's a lot of people in the media fans of other teams whatever that said I can't believe the Raiders went Antonio Pierce instead of Jim Harbaugh and if you don't think he's not only using that AP is as bulletin board material for himself not only for himself but for his team his team that went out of their way Max and Devonte they pulled a Rudy and basically said if he's not not our coach trade us right if you don't think they're going to move Heaven and Earth to try to show that AP is going to have a more successful career than Jim Harbaugh 2.0 I think you're crazy and I think that's why they're going to try Heaven and Earth to win this game it's going to feel like a mini Super Bowl obviously this game is in Los Angeles but it's going to feel like a Raider home game the second game that's a tough game that's at Baltimore I think this is this is where it looks like Gardner MCH won the job because of his Mobility right you're playing the Chargers the Ravens uh will skip the Panthers right now and the Cleveland Browns those are three teams that have really really good front fours and our offensive line is good but it's not great right the left side of the offensive line has not really had a lot of reps in training camp so I think these first four games like I said are very important and here's how I see them playing out I think it's going to be a lot of ups and downs early for the Raiders we go four- two if we count the bronos games but the first four games I think we go two and two which is enough for Gardner to keep the job I think we win week one like I said I think we're going to be going balls to the wall and I think we're going to beat the Carolina Panthers we don't really know what Bryce young is gonna do his second year he barely played in the preseason right um again the Ravens that's a tough game look I as much as I would love to say that the Raiders are going to go 14 and three you know there there are teams that have distinct advantages at quarterback right Lamar Jackson desan Watson um I think that there are going to be times where we're just going to get outmatched where the two time MVP is just gonna have his day and our defense is great right the Raiders defense is for sure one of the best if not the best in the National Football League but the great equalizer is that quarterback so for right now here's how I have the first four games going I got two and two what are your guys thoughts on these first two games you have a differently than me I'm looking at TD he says need to be Mobile in today's football I'm looking at uh Raider Nation his Mobility would be our demise he's not accurate we're talking about garden of mry Hospital balls makes decent or makes bad decisions when he improvises yeah I get it the hospital ball is um is tough it's not great I actually can't make the screen any bigger this is the way it has to stay I tried to make it bigger but it's not two and is about right yeah I agree and Brown's defense is Elite so there's no doubt about it um okay so let's go right into oh triple says do you think the Raiders losing to the Browns is more about Deshawn or their defense um probably more about their defense we'll say it let's pretend in a perfect world that Gardner mchu and deshun Watson are the same right I think we think Deshawn's a little bit better although he's falling off a cliff compared to what he used to be um I do think the Cleveland defense might be able to have their way especially on our offensive line if it's still not 100% healthy although that was a game I struggled with I went back and forth on the Browns game for right now I'm trying to play it a little bit more realistic and that's why I have it as a loss let's talk about Q2 the second quarter of the Season we got Steelers Rams Chiefs Bengals this is the hold onto your butts portion of the schedule this is where rubber meets the road if we're clicking with Garder this could be a great year here if we got to pull him and go Aiden here I don't know how many more games we have of consistent football and I know for a fact that I've got some family members watching who are Pittsburgh Steeler fans and I'm here to tell you right now there's no way in heck I don't know if I could say that other word on bleach report that I'm picking the Steelers to beat the Raiders not a chance second quarter we're going win-win which gives us three straight wins thanks to the measley Denver Bronco win that we gave before and then we go two straight losses to the Chiefs and to the Bengals so what are your guys thoughts so far as I take a magical sip of water about how I have us through our first 10 games really through our first eight with these two Bronco games I got six and four and I will explain now why I have that Here's my thought process the Steelers great defense right that's it we have the advantage at quarterback we have the advantage at probably running back we have the advantage at wide receiver we have the advantage at offensive line I mean look I don't even know who the Steelers quarterback is going to be by this point and Mike tommen is maybe the most underrated coach in the league somehow he's literally never had a losing season they're just not a very good football team I'm sorry to all my Steelers fans watching and I just don't see us losing that game especially a home game now look hopefully Antonio Pierce has been able to get a lot of the Raider Nation to keep their tickets and not sell them to a bunch of Steelers fans because that's kind of the elephant in the room right is that we don't you know our HomeField Advantage is not great um it's not great at all so we got to make sure that we show up for these games and I'm going to send another um poll out here it's how many games do you see the Raiders winning I'm going to do this before um I finish here because I don't want you guys to be swayed by my thought process here so I have us beating oh my goodness I have us beating the Steelers and then this Rams game look there are going to be games that you expect to win that you lose and there are going to be games that you expect to lose that you win this Rams game just like the Cleveland game I went back and forth on but I do believe there are going to be games that our defense defense wins and again this is not a Rams home game it says it on the schedule but we all know how that's going to go right we all know the Raiders fans are going to show up La is Raider town and they have a lot of offensive Weaponry right puka nakua Cooper cup is devastating this is a game where you got to have guys like Nate Hobs like joran Bennett like Jack Jones to play outside their mind you're going to need to steal possession Max Crosby strip sack on Stafford Stafford is a statue and if we could pin our ears back the games that we're going to be able to win that we shouldn't be are going to be against teams with quarterbacks who are not mobile right like Trevor Lawrence can run around DeShaun watts can run around these games might be tough for us to win if Gardner mchu isn't playing his absolute best football and I'm looking at the poll right now nine to 10 wins is kind of the range where you guys are thinking right now okay I like that that's interesting I'm not going to give mine away um if we are playing a team that's better than us quote unquote we're going to need the quarterback to be a statue because that's how we affect the quarterback when he can't move around even people like Mahomes who Mahomes is a very mobile quarterback he's Houdini right that's what Collinsworth and Romo and all them say Houdini and then Jack Jones you know he stopped that magic and the magic Act was over we need to get to the quarterback I think this is going to be one of these games where you know everyone's picking Rams Rams Rams we come out on top but then fall kind of fall back down to earth here lose to the Chiefs at home lose to the Bengals the Bengals game I won't spent too much time on this isn't a Super Bowl preview so I think the Bengals are going back to the Super Bowl I think Joe burrow is Out For Blood I think this is going to be a ridiculous season for him sneaky MVP um Joe burough seems like Thanos from time to time he's the only one that can consistently get inside of the head of Patrick Mahomes and that's just a really tough game to go to 10 a.m. body clock I don't put a lot of stock into the body clock um but some people do so we'll throw that in the uh going to be tough for the Raiders category Alex says need Tyreek Wilson to show up absolutely um what do we see here Howard we easily have to potentially get double digit wins La says I like 11 and six any win is a good win our secondary is Young and we need experience at quarterback no doubt about it Mahomes is a pocket pass at first he only runs around if he has to that's not menu's game and no doubt about it and look when we start comparing Gardner menu to Patrick Mahomes we it's over we lost right so I think I'm just going to write that Bengals game office they're better than us the Chiefs is interesting because we beat them last year we know this right and we beat them in Kansas City and we play them again in the schedule I'm not going to spoil what happens there um the the thing here is that I think we caught them off guard in that first AP game and I don't or I guess the second AP game yeah we AP coach when we were up 14 to nothing in the other game right I think we caught them off guard just how good our defense was and I think the Chiefs yeah who just said it the Chiefs are out for blood Raider Nation said the Chiefs are GNA play this like a mini Super Bowl and I don't foresee this being a blowout I think a lot of these games are going to be close games and that's what I was saying on my Channel all of Raiders go ahead on over there if you like we see here but after this stay on here for this um I I think that every one of these games wins and loss are going to kind of look the same and I think that's what we need to see out of ap's first year I'm not expecting to go to the Super Bowl here but we just need a little bit consistency even like the John Gruden era which started to get better before his ultimate firing it was a lot of this a lot of ups and downs and it's like and then McDaniels was chaos 2.0 we just need this to be a little bit more controlled and concise and I think that these gam are going to look more consistent you're going to be like well this is kind of what I expected either way good or bad positive or negative um I think the Chiefs are going to treat this like a mini mini Super Bowl but if we split these four games I think that's going to be big for us to sort of ride the ship and make one final playoff push here going into the second half of the Season okay so as I close this poll here we got 1% says five or lower 20 nope yeah 31% says six to eight wins 61% says 9 to 10 and 7% says 11 plus I don't hate it guys I do not hate it let's get into to quarter three and I want you guys in the chat to give me your final record predictions before I get into quarter three here and I gotta tell you this this last stretch here was so difficult because there's a lot of teams a lot of like ah are like are these teams good I don't know let's see what I said here quarter three we're coming off of historically terrible coming off of I we are I think there was a game was that the Falcons game in 2020 we were coming off a bu we just had beat the Chiefs or no we just had beat the Jess Henry rugs H Mary and we lost to the Falcons like 40 to6 we are so bad coming off a bu I think Antonio Pierce is gonna write that ship okay we got Z Jones is that Z Jones in some H water right now 11- six goo says eight and nine we got a 10 and seven with a million exclamation points Gladiator nine and eight 9 and8 11- six 11 and six book at Dano shout out to Hawaii 5 okay Q3 coming off a buy again we're not gonna count this Bronco game because we already talked about it coming off of by Miami we played them last year Aiden played terribly the defense was very good we could not move the ball and we lost by one possession I believe the score was 20 to 13 something like that 213 I think again this is going to be a tough tough game no doubt about it coming off a buy is going to help us a lot we probably go to Florida or to the east coast a couple of days early if not a week early on that buy to get the body clock ready for the 10: a.m. start this is going to be coming off of two straight losses we do not want to drop it was six and four to six and five out of the buy right and if we could win this game we could ride the momentum to the Broncos game and then to the Chiefs game which you've already see I've checked off as a win that's right I'm splitting the Chiefs games I think that's fair and again where the Chiefs are going to be ready for us the first time we play we will now be ready for them on Black Friday so go out there get your flat screen TVs and your air frers for little to no dollars maybe a payment plan doesn't matter this game nationally televised Black Friday is this the Black Friday game or I talking on my my you know what I thought it was was this not the Black Friday game I think it is a Black Friday game whatever doesn't matter we're going to ride the momentum of this Dolphins win coming out of the bu because here's the thing here's the thing like I said we played them very well last year and this is all contingent on if Gardner this is all really guarder mitu and Luke gsy right because the Dolphins defense is not afraid of the Dolphins defense they got worse because Christian Wilkins ever heard of him who was on the it is the Black Friday game thank you thank you um CHR Wilkins who was on the Dolphins defense which wasn't very good it was fine is now on the Raiders I'm not afraid of their defense this stretch of games here is going to come down to Luke getsy if you just look at the Raiders weapons in a vacuum right and I know you got to take the quarterback out and that's tough to do stay with me for one second here stay on target Devonte Adams if he's still here not traded by then jacobe Meyers the best one of the best wide receiver combinations in the league Trey who's coming on who looks like a Tyreek Hill Henry rugs type player Brock Bowers Michael Mayor right these are weapons that you can move around and Luke gety has shown already an ability to take AB Brock Bowers and put him in the back field to stretch the field with the Trey Tucker this is all with a vanilla offense right so if he can dial some deep balls up in this Miami game to keep the defense honest and then we could just pound the rock with zamir white and Alexander Madison Dylan lby coming out of the backfield right there is endless opportunities to win these games that teams do not expect us to win and it all comes down to Gardner muu I've been saying for the longest time Gardner mchu doesn't need to be Steph Curry he needs to be Chris Paul just distribute The Rock don't do anything crazy if you need to make a play every now and again go make a play but for right now I have us beating the Chiefs but here's the problem when you beat the Chiefs on black Friday you kind of have to come back down to earth right and I think this is where we're on the highest of highs oh my God we're going to win the division at Tampa Bay versus the Falcons at Tampa Bay I think that's the biggest Trap game of all time if we go Black Friday nationally televised audience beat the Chiefs and we're like oh now we got to go to Tampa Bay who even cares right that's a trap game no doubt about it and then the Falcons I just think the Falcons are going to be really good football team this year I think this game will be a really interesting game to see if our defense is going to be able to disrupt Kirk Cousins or if they're going to have by then the Falcons that is enough time to get a cohesive system going here with their new weapons with bejan and Kyle pittz their defense is sneaky not terrible um I think these are both like backtack like oh man three in a row just beat the Chiefs we're going to go undefeated the rest of the year and then kind of come crashing back down to earth so here's where I stand right now Aiden six and right now I would have said the the Falcons game the Dolphins game and the the Falcons the Dolphins the Rams and the Browns that feels like our season right there because those were the games I was just flipping coins up until the last second I couldn't quite grasp how I felt either way about those games I decided to split them I think that's the best thing to do here and let's jump into the last quarter here final predictions for quarter four the last three games I got dub Jacksonville dub Derek Carr losing the last game of the season to the Chargers I believe we're going to end up with a better record than the Chargers right and I'll get to the the Saints game the jagson game let's talk about week 18 I believe we're gonna have a better record than the Chargers right I think it's going to be close I think we're going to have a better record I think 10 and seven and here's where I'm going to go with my last poll here I think 10 and seven gets you into the playoffs comfortably I think you have a chance with n and eight but I think that doesn't mean you're going to make the playoffs and then eight or lower I think you're out I think we're hovering from 8 to 10 I think the Chargers are hovering from 6 to n so this last game for the Chargers might mean a lot more to them than it will to us right with all that being said I think they're going to be playing for more playing harder and that's why I have them beating us in week 18 let's talk about the Jags and the Saints the Jags are weird like Trevor Lawrence just got paid a lot of money and Doug Peterson came in that first year and and kind of turned things around and then in year two it got a little weird and here come the Houston Texans right and you don't know you have with Will Levis or Anthony Rich Richardson both showed decent flashes the Jags could be one of these teams that just kind of falls back into the obscurity that they've been known to fall into every now and again trust me as a Raider fan I know what that obscurity is like we're never bad enough to to get the first pick in the draft we're never good enough to win the Super Bowl we're kind of right in the middle there and the Jags and the Saints both feel like they're right in the middle with us I think the difference here is that our offense and our defense is just better than the Saints and better than the Jags they might have slight advantages at the quarterback but I think where they have slight advantages at the quarterback we've got massive advantages everywhere else the Derek Carr game I mean look that's going to be insane I'm assuming he's still the quarterback by then I hear some people saying Spencer Rattler you never know um I know I don't think he's gonna start any games this year unless Derek Carr gets hurt and Derek Carr is sneaking in Iron Man doesn't miss a lot of games right now the poll it's looking like people thinking we're a playoff team or a bubble team not a lot of people saying we don't want to win the playoffs or get into the playoffs well here's my question to you in the chat if you're watching if we make the playoffs what seed are we G to be is it division winner is it the last seed is it the top wild card team I believe in 2021 we were the fifth seed out of complete nowhere and up losing to the Bengals who go to the Super Bowl the Derek card game I think the fans in New Orleans are going to be backing him again this might be a very very important game for him I just think Antonio Pierce is gonna get to these guys in such a way that it's not going to be hard for us to match the intensity of the crowd and of the other team playing right I see see people I see right here we'll be in the final wild card as long as it's a see do we care um not really I mean if Beggars can't be choosers right we want to just get in the playoffs let's just get in last seed and lose wild card okay so here's where I stand right now I think we do not win the division I think we are one of the Wild Card teams and I think we probably lose in the first round of the playoffs to uh Houston Texans or to Kansas City Chiefs right I think we're going to muddy that game up and here's thing we kind of feel like the Giants in a way the o08 Giants with Antonio Pierce on that defense and okay and let's take a let's take a verb a mental image of this I got us going 10 and seven right okay I'm GNA now go back to my face um we feel like the 08 Giants away and what I mean by that is that we got great offensive weapons right they had you know plexico burus and and and helmet catch right and Rand Jacobs they had all these guys and then they had a stout defense nobody wanted to play the Giants in the playoffs I believe that year they played the Patriots in the regular season and they lost by maybe one possession I could be wrong on that but I'm pretty sure that's what happened it was a long time ago it was nine years old um I think if we make the playoffs you're going to hear a lot of people saying that is a team that nobody wants to play because defense travels and I think this year you have to look at the games like the Broncos games that's two of them right off the bat the Panthers game right these the Steelers game these are games where we have the quarterback Advantage right and that's not a lot of games on our schedule our quarterback situation is not ideal but the games where we have a distinct quarterback Advantage we have to win and I think Antonio Pierce is driving home that consistency right we have to win the games that we have that quarterback advantage in so that's four or five on the schedule and then the rest of the way you're going to have to steal a Rams game you're gonna have to try to steal a Dolphins game in Miami and if the defense shows up and travels and Antonio Pierce is the master motivator that we all believe that he is we could win 10 games and make the playoffs so that those are really my final thoughts here uh what do I see in the chat here not making the playoffs um I you know with our quarterbacks I understand that wild card if the defense is elad our quarterback is lead we'll make a deep run into the playoffs interesting I don't see that hopefully we don't sh ourselves in the foot I agree um menu starting it's realistic to think he's not going to get it done I've lost all my enthusiasm for the season Garner was made the starter let's talk about this right right there before I sign off I was cautiously optimistic going into the season with Aiden starting I've now dropped the ly and the optimistic and I'm just cautious I don't know how this is going to go I'm always going to be excited and I will be back here Monday the Monday after our first game which is the 9th I believe yeah September 9th I will be here 1 pm Eastern to recap the game hopefully it's going to be a win that I'm recapping but either way I'll be here for half an
