if you want to talk about one team that's coming over here to possibly be a party crasher for the Big 10 you are correct it is the Oregon Ducks 12-2 last year as you mentioned the only two losses coming to Washington look they're changing quarterbacks you mentioned about B Knicks but look this team is dialed up it's ready to go it's spent millions in the transfer portal and look I think this is the one team that could possibly shake up the Big 10 and how weird would it be if in the first year the inaugural year of the 18 team system one of these West Coast teams comes over and wins the Big 10 Championship Cory I think the big one to talk about is obviously we're going to start with the quarterback position Bon knck is out in comes Dylan Gabriel from Oklahoma a guy who look I'm going to be honest with you he's a little undersized um but look in that offense with Dan Lanning I think they have the weapons when we're talking about a TZ Johnson and the wide receiver core Jordan James at running back Corey I mean this team is absolutely loaded and I'm going to throw this to you like this because when we talk about these Pack 12 teams coming over to the Big 10 the easy narrative right is Big Time offense meets big-time defense I think the Oregon Ducks are that BigTime offense coming over so just talk to us a little bit about Dylan Gabriel yeah is he an upgrade is he that much of a downgrade from bonix and is he going to be able to carry the torch of the Ducks offense from last season oh I think he's going to carry the torch and some Joey you look at that wide receiver Trio right Holden Stewart and Johnson I mean they can put up some numbers there Dan Lanning he's the man with the plan I honestly think Gabriel will be in the Heisman conversation this year and he's got a chance to win it I think they're that talented Joey and in my opinion I'm gonna go on the record and I think they are going to shock the Big 10 and be the number one team in the Big 10 over Ohio State this year you're leading off episode two with that yes Oregon's that one I have to I think they're going to be number one this year Joey Oregon is such a tough place to play just like Ohio State but once they get that crowd rocking and Bo Nicks did his thing last year right but you look at those those weapons that Trio there at wide receiver I think that's the difference maker they're another year in this system and I really think Gabriel is going to put up some crazy numbers see he did a year ago in Oklahoma um I think he's going to do this with this scheme their defense too is is sneaky good like people really don't talk about their defense enough they didn't give up that many yards they they turn the ball over on on opposing offenses they got pressure uh they have a lot of weapons defensively and I think it gets overlooked just by the Juggernaut B Knicks and Company were last year yeah I mean the numbers flesh it out a little bit right like uh they were best in Pack 12 in scoring defense they only allowed 318 yards per game against some of the teams in the Big 10 on their schedule that number is obviously going to go down and it's one of those things too as well it's like in that movie Major League when Ricky vaugh keeps throwing the grand slams of the dude on the Yankees over and over again this is basically who Michael penx was last year for the Oregon Ducks right he absolutely torched them in the two games that they played outside of Washington state also cam War he threw for 438 yards I mean Oregon's defense stood up it was pretty sturdy so that definitely gives them a bit of Advantage they've beefed up that unit again through the transfer portal they were one of the best teams programs to add some pieces to that team so man this looks like a real complete unit right now when you look at the schedule sure at Oregon State but no more Jonathan Smith I mean you have the Ohio State game on October 12th we mentioned in episode one then it's going to be an epic epic week in Big 10 football that happens to be uh the week that Oregon travels to Ohio State but the rest of their schedule there not very daunting and if you're not buying into Washington who we're going to get into in a second I'm with you there outside of Ohio State do you see any other losses on this schedule Cory I I don't know if I do I don't I don't I think they're going to beat the breaks off Washington this year just because they're they're going to be angry about what happened last year two two losses to Washington they don't have all those NFL weapons this year but Joey if correct me if I'm wrong I think they play at Oregon Ohio State I believe they do yeah yeah Oregon at Ohio State correct correct correct on October no no no I'm saying Ohio Ohio State and Oregon is at Oregon State yeah Ohio State's hosting or Oregon is hosting Ohio State yes correct exactly goes less geography that's that's even more more reason that's even more reason to project them as the best team in the Big 10 this year I really do I I think they're going to shock the world that game or Eugene is is a tough place to play that crowd gets rocking and I think if if they can continue doing what they're doing offensively and even improve on it oh it's it's GNA be a thing of beauty um are you willing to go as far are you willing to go as far is saying that they are a legitimate Natty Contender 100% I'll say that right now the record I do I I think them in case too Cory Dylan Gabriel is in Heisman right yeah 100% my problem with Ohio State we're going to get to them a little bit later is they just aren't the same team that they were four five six years ago they're not right they haven't won the big game against Michigan I know Michigan was stacked last year but even the previous two years before that right if you're going to be the best and I played in the Big 10 Ohio state was the best after I left when Urban Meyer took over they were the best uh early in and day's career they were the best and they're starting to so listen on paper yeah people are saying Ohio State but at the end of the day you got to win the big game and I think Oregon is coming with a lot of Firepower and I don't think people have seen a Tempo in the Big 10 like Oregon is brought right sometimes you give it the hurry up sometimes quick Tempo um Big 10 is usually ground and pound let's slow him down I don't know if they're ready for that pace yet Joey
