the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines um shiron Moore taking over for Jim Harbaugh new quarterback in Place Alex orgy uh Cory man I I just wrote here uh for the keys here run run run run the Baltimore and trust your defense uh but break down a little bit uh what do you like or maybe what concerns you about the Michigan Wolverines well I I want to talk about the elephant in the room all the Scandal that happened you know with the sign stealing and all that and then harro leaves right oh I'm B I'm gone I'm to the NFL you guys deal with that so I think there's just going to be a lot obviously because they've graduated a lot of NFL talented players and now and now more comes in and he's he's basically got gota live with all the things that happened under Harbaugh's regime and so I think it's going to be a tough season I think they have the talent they've recruited well I think they're still going to have a great season but like you said Joey you got one of the best backs in in the country in Edwards you got to give him the rock early and often you have to ground and pound oh and you got to play great defense and I think that's something that they're going to do in Michigan um who knows I mean honestly you know Ohio state is the reigning favorites you never know in that game especially as of late Michigan has got up big time right when you have that confidence you got that Swagger you beat him three times in a row even despite grading all these people it's going to be a tough game man um it is a rivalry so I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do um I think it's they're going to have some challenges at times um but I think they they recruit recruit well they're coached well and I think they're going to try to try to do the same thing they did last year obviously it's going to be tough because there's Oregon in this conference now Ohio State's going to be very good Penn State I think they're gonna they're poised to have a big year um but I think I think Michigan in general um they're trending in the right direction just the way they recruit they've recruited so well as of late and I think they're going to have young guys that really step up yeah Cory uh great teas on maybe a team that we're going to talk about right after Michigan here um and obviously when they butt heads together it's kind of all bets off but yeah look the the running game is going to be key but I will also say that a lot of the talk you know heading into the fall was that Alex orgy a quarterback you know maybe it is him maybe someone else gets a couple of snaps here and there we'll see he doesn't need to throw the ball to win well that is true to a certain amount right I mean if you look at I think JJ McCarthy threw 20 or less passes in maybe five or six games last year he still is going to have to throw the rock around and then I think what JJ McCarthy an interesting NFL prospect was I brought up in a previous episode those third and 12s those got to have it Downs he was able to make those throws and make it happen and I think that's what kept them undefeated that's what made them National Championship favorites and I think that's what helped them win the whole thing but yeah Cory I mean I think it's going to have to be meat and potatoes for Michigan this year um I don't know if they're going to have the success obviously a lot of places like circus Sports one of our sponsors is fading Michigan right now to win the national title so I'm not saying that but I think they have a good chance to possibly compete and be a cfp contender big part of that is going to be Cory like you said that pass rush that defense if you believe in NFL mock drafts Kenneth Grant and Mason Graham both projected to be first round picks that nose tackle that D tackle in the middle there they've got great help on the pass rush and and Cory that's what it's going to have to come down to last year when we watched Michigan play We would hear words like boa constrictor punishing other teams you know what I mean and that's what's going to take I think for Michigan to be able to compete so I mean I'll throw it back to you let's just start here does Michigan beat Ohio State the team that maybe we're doing next I'm I'm I'm G to say yeah I am being very bullish on a couple teams right now right Oregon I I think I'm bullish on them and I'm just going to say listen do I think Michigan is gonna win every game before the Ohio State game no right I think I think the Texas game is is is going to be a tough one I think that's a loss right there um other than that you know the Oregon game right that's going to be a tough one I have that as a loss but I just think because of that rivalry Joey I would not be surprised right I I don't I don't want to I don't want to say it yet but I'm just saying right now I guess I'll say it I'll say it I'm saying Michigan is gonna beat Ohio State wow Michigan all hell breaks loose unbelievable unbelievable I I just I just think the momentum is there um and Joey they they got up for it do you know it's at Road schedule too the road schedule is really good for Michigan for a team that you know is losing its quarterback and its coach it's it's it's pretty solid there to to do well as well they're going to play disciplined football that's something they've done as of late and and look at JJ McCarthy we we talked about it he was a first round pick because of the talent but he really did not air it out that much right when he needed to yes sometimes he had 12 15 completions in a game and so eight attempts against Penn State he was seven for eight against pen state but I think I think their def you talked about the Big Fellas in the middle right the pass rush on the on the on the edges you got linebacking core I think their defense is is really poised that and that's the recipe right if if you're not there with all the weapons offensively you don't have your quarterback back what are you going to do you're going to run the football great you're going to play great defense so I think they're going to be in a lot of games and who knows right if they play well enough they control the clock they can beat teams like Texas Oregon and Ohio State and who knows you know this is a year where you're saying hey Ohio State's the raining favorites they've been the past couple years and and look who's abended them so that's why uh I wouldn't be surprised if if the Michigan Wolverines beat Ohio State bucke eyes baby boy
