ladies and gentlemen the 2024 Auburn Tiger starting off the year with a bang now I get it right it's Alabama A&M but we wanted to see something new something different something to look forward to versus some better teams and I thought Auburn did an unbelievable job in this game getting a lot of different guys involved getting some confidence in Payton Thorne but also ham Perry Thompson Malcolm Simmons Lambert Smith right these guys looked good in this video I kind of wanted to break down some film right quick film tomorrow's video if you guys want it we're going to break down the entirety of the game from pay and Thorn and we'll probably do a lot more throughout the week as well if you guys want to see it right comment down below part two or just say more film in the comments down being said let's just start it off with the cam Coman play guys I love this one I have two angles to show you we're going to see cam Coman at the top of your screen here one-on-one coverage right this is what you call a yes no read from pay and Thorn right whenever we see there's one deep safety to the opposite side of the field and then you have another safety here but he's instead of being up here he's pressed down here which tells you one thing this is either manto man or even even Zone maybe he's in a hook curl what not but no matter what yes no Reed we know this is manto man coverage one1 we take this every single time boom double move okay love it right we have another angle to show you as well guess down the field panthorn you know although this is slightly underthrown slightly right great ball great ball love to see it great route okay now let me show you the other angle and show you how nasty it really was all right here we go here's another angle from it or for it right cam Coleman's going to be right here on your screen watch this route this little double move let me actually no I won't slow it down just so we can see it in full right boom right stops his legs and you also see his head how it's coming down looking down at his feet right that is going to tell the DB okay wait he's actually pivoting he's actually changing direction let me get up there and go make a play on this comeback hitch stri curl whatever it may be whatever you think it may be boom so I think one does an unbelievable job running this route and then boom he's gone good luck you already lost guys again I I tell you this one more time a lot of freshman wide receivers played well today Ryan Williams man this close right but also Jeremiah Smith looked good as well cam Coleman looked really good if he was wasn't splitting time with seven other receivers he could have haded a 300 yard game right I mean so many guys were in and out of the lineup today they were really just trying to get these guys of football and I think that's going to how it's be or how it's going to be for the majority of the Season just because Hey listen you freeze wants to get guys involved they have so many Playmakers how do you get all of them involved Man play them play them that's it cam Coleman looked great let's get let's break down another one all right here we go again this one for Lambert Smith we're going to see 101 man coverage right press man coverage by the way as well this safety's pressed up this safety's cheating to the right side of the field so again what do we call this a yes no read in my brain in my head I would think that pay and Thorne circles yes in his head and says I want this every single day of the week and Lambert Smith guys is such an elite route Runner as well I can tell that he's been teaching these things to cam Coleman watch how he's going to get that outside Leverage he's going to really plant his foot behind this corner try to make him look like he's going to the outside right here boom you see how he's getting behind him now the corner and says like okay what is going on here is it a comeback let me kind of open up my hips a little bit and boom that slight hesitation from the corner gives him enough time to boom right get that cut down the field look at this ball beautifully placed Pon Thorne where was this man again maybe he was the wide receivers also I want to give payon Thorn a massive shout out and in the offensive line man look at this play again I know it's Alabama A&M but let's let's overreact a little bit guys please put in a bucket right put in a bucket right so again you have this safety Ching to the right side he's going to quickly go into a Midfield close type of look but at that point in time it's too late I also want to give him credit because he's going to start off looking towards the safety trying to look him off again something that NFL quarterbacks do a ton and then boom he's going to come across with this shallow cross moving that safety just up a little bit and boom now he's gone love it love it pay and Thorn love it Lambert Smith these are the things that we need to see more consistently I'm excited goes unnoticed uh to to a lot of people is he's going to run what seems to be a slant but he's actually going to stop right in front of this right DB obviously you got man coverage here both to the outside if we're able to get in front of this guy and just stop right we have this little fade route to the corner of the end zone it's going to work out to to a t right beautifully so again boom drops back we're going to see again cam Coleman does a great job here great job get in the way get in the way boom wide open TouchDown for Lambert Smith once again these are the things man we didn't see last year didn't see him last year man raldo Fairweather didn't have a great game had a that one drop in the end zone wasn't really his fault that was a tough tough play to make he also had
