when you see that field of blue you know it can be only one place in the world boyy Idaho on the campus of boyy State and home to the fabled giant Killers the boyy State Broncos and while today is the final home game of the season for one team it is more importantly a celebration senior day as we'll see a squad from the Pack 12 the Oregon State Beavers taking on the winners of nine straight the boyy State Broncos glad to have you with us for EA Sports college with re Davis David Jessie line gets set first down going to run it it's Genty he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple after getting knocked back to open this drive it's second and 12 he's looking to throw he is lucky to get that one back and the last thing you want is to turn it over on your opening drive they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one complete to the left and he gets it done on third down they move the chains and they'll mark it at the 44 and the Broncos will snap it on First and 10 just a solid stop by this sophore now that's what you're trying to do as a defense limit those damages when they run the football get them on the ground short gains to set your def positive situation stand put it right on him sweet play good pick up and they'll move the change with the first down Zone coverage means everybody's looking at the quarterback so now when I'm a wide receiver I got to make sure I know I fit in the hole between these zones I know where they're dropping to and I know where I need to get to great job by the wide receiver finding that hole and the quarterback throwing St the give to the back he's brought down but before they pick up the big first down here's this off with a fresh set of downs to the ground he's got it again and I think they'll give him two on that one second and eight coming up and the defense doing a great job committ eighth play of the drive coming it'll be a third and six to the air it's Nelson using the back as a re on the screen goes out of bounds on the play and he's got him set up first and goal and that's a really good example of a quarter well this is just the type of field position this offense wants he'll pull it on the read we'll give him a couple on that one second and eight coming up when with the running game on first down now back at it from the shotgun they'll run it brought down at the 26 yd line after a pick up of 10 y on the play and it'll be a first down at first you don't suce it's first down from the 11 the running back has it give him about a yard on the play it's down at the 10 operating in the Red Zone here on second down right back to the well brought down at the seven after picking up three time winding down in the quarter as they come to the line on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it and he's going to score touchdown bronos [Applause] the Bronco offense back out there ready to give it another spin David they'd love to do what they did last time and put this one in the end zone you ain't lying they did it and he intercepts it didn't really get a chance to get started on that return but he has set him up at the 41 yd line you always try as a player of field in front of them as they open this possession from their own [Applause] 20 the inside hand off not much there picks up a couple through the 22 that's a really good job by the defense wrapping them up getting them on the ground now take away that run game make him onedimensional put him in passing situations really good job by the defense gets it out to the 25 yd line a gain of three they'll try to move the chains on Third and short from the 25 back to pass it's Nelson he's got his man he'll have enough to move the chains it's first down at the 38 a new set of downs after the completion movement here from the tight end they'll run it from the gun a seven yd pickup it'll be second and three coaches always harp about staying ahead of the CH the Broncos had this offense [Applause] rolling from the gun the running back has it and the running back didn't get much there nice job by the defense you can tell they're focused in on this running back on this run game being physical getting knock backs and limiting his carries and they dialed up a shot play but they couldn't hook up and guys if I'm on offense I am staying aggressive I know you seventh play of the drive coming up but a long way to go on third down looking to throw and he needs a chunk play makes the grab and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down well you can afford to be a offense set on first down now the quarterback changing the original play call firing to the right complete and he goes out of bounds after coming up with positive yardage there the thing I like about this slot receiver he's really now on second [Applause] down he's looking to throw makes it grab down the middle and they get him and knock him down to prevent a big gain my coach said you'll never go broke taking a profit take what's there and the Broncos have it with a first and 10 the aerial assault continues got a man all the way down to the 25 yd line they move the sticks it's first down and you got manto man coverage State ready to S out that offense they're going to throw it to start the drive quickly out to the tight end and good coverage by the defense just a short gain short completion last play Let's see if they throw it again wants to throw it's Nelson makes the grab and they'll spot it at the 45 that's good enough for a first down and I love the awareness by the wide receiver on that play because I'm not sure that route was suppos to that deep you got to wonder if the receiver decided maybe to adjust the route a little bit to make sure that he got the first down he now has 56 yd rushing in this game and he's almost certain to reach the 1500 yd Mark for the season and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play love to see the fearlessness of a quarter to work the middle of the second down coming up wide receiver now comes in motion he's looking for an open man on second down and he's on his way he'll go all the way touchdown Broncos that touchdown grabbed the 25th of his career not surprising either when you've got this guy's ability that position quarterbacks going to for you 25 touchdown catches that's an impressive yeah he's definitely one of those guys that have been so big time Big Time moments clutch plays you know makes those contested catches he's a guy that can do everything and that's why he's putting up such great stats boyy state has it back ready to go to work on offense that last drive an absolute aerial assault for the touchdown Jesse it was a nice job play calling too David just giving the quarterback some easy looks and reads so he could go out in it and he knew exactly where to go with the football everything looked really really easy he was hot the ball was coming out of his hands the defense better do something different and the defense makes the immediate tackle but he has enough for the first down we sensed a great deal of confidence almost a smugness from this coaching staff and these guys on the field it's as if they knew they were going to win yeah playing with a bit of a chip on their shoulder and I think they really felt like they had a real good game plan offensively and defensively coming into this one David there were some matchups on the field they thought they could exploit we saw that happen here no doubt good job by this coaching staff understanding who's out there to make plays feeding him the football defense special teams all working together to get the W that's going to do it for us from here for Jesse Palmer David poock I'm to Crown the champion of the mount West Conference here today this is a surprising match up the proverbial David versus goath a ranked versus an unranked team an opportunity to Spring a major upset Street I think we've talked [Applause] long first down play call how aggressive will it be takes the ball tries the right side here gain moves the ball to the 34 chis I know the play the game boy nice job on this offensive line the back gets behind him picks up some positive yards good enough for the first down the 37 realize on any play exed it can go to the house for ACH but the runs that really make a game plan work are the ones you get just what you need and he barely got the first down but he got it here's the second down play inside give now from the shot done that run moves the ball across the 40 well let's give credit to the offensive line here they went with a run blit the offensive line sees it picks it up gives them enough room to pick up some solid yards the goes nowhere up about a yard but it'll Beth down this line getting set up it's a first down play [Applause] hand off to the back the junior able to bring him down quickly see that's how you limit what an offense wants to do this time the defense just won the battle up front of the line of scrimmage not giving up any big plays everybody's Gap sound it's really solid defense on that tackle is made just a gain after the completion short completion a third down play coming up hand it off for a draw tackled behind the line it's a loss of two well a lot of times as a play call that you go to the draw play because he feel the guys up front lined up it's first down looking out throwing here to start the drive a short completion of the tight end he's brought down but there is a penalty marker out there let's check out this call pretty easy call for the head coach he will accept that penalty of course fresh set it down to the offense first down hand off here from the shotgun they bring him down after a solid gain but it's still well short of the first down marker second down play coming up for this offense looking to throw it's Nelson and it's incomplete just out of the reach of the receiver from the snap of the ball it looked like and the Broncos getting set on First and 10 they'll run it out of the shotgun get some space around the and he'll make it for the score touchdown state here comes the boy State offense back out on the field they reached the end zone the last time out trying to do the same thing here picks up three yard so second and seven off coming to the line they might have a chance for a couple more plays before we reach the end of the quarter quarterback's got it on the option pitch play to the back finds room at the 30 and he runs it in for the score touchdown BSU what a long run from the touchdown if his defense was caught sleeping or walking in mud I can't pick which one maybe it's both because the running back just went right by them so easily for the big game and a big score and the trots back onto the field here here's the handoff he's brought down but not before the gain to the 42 yd line Chris is the consistency of this back is given this defense F they've got to come up with some changes up front this guy's already over 50 yard and if he keeps running the way he is not only is he having a great day it's going to give this quarterback a chance to hit some big plays down field off play action first down here for this offense again thrown out of the RPO and it's complete just a good job here by the quarterback got the ball out to his receiver his guy eats up some yard they stay ahead of the scks first down play call coming up how aggressive will it be back to pass it's Nelson physical defending that one Falls incomplete brings up second down you get a tight like this and you know he's used to off the incompletion it sets up a third down and two looking to pick up the first down through the it's a quick grab they bring him down but he was fast enough to get that first down yardage most defensive coordinators focus a lot of their energy so the offense getting set this is not where you want to be against this defense third and long dropping back you're going to throw for the first down but it's incomplete and that will now bring up fourth down boy this is all about the defense here nice the defense looking to be efficient here not much time remaining before the end of the half trying to find some room it's jonty to through really solid first down gain he's just short of the marker so maybe a chance here to take a first down play call how aggressive will it be and the out goes in motion [Applause] on First and 10 here looking to throw the ball receiver makes the grab love the timing here between the quarterback and his receiver pick up some positive yards and I continue to be impressed with just the the chemistry between these two Let It Go quickly there's a fast but it's intercepted and he's wrapped up after a solid return Bo this defense did exactly what they needed to do come up with a turnover here in the second half to get themselves back in the game they and the Boise State offense is back out on the field we'll see if this quarterback can shake off the interception he threw in the last possession oh what a move they bring him down but the drive has now reached the 35 line get set up it's a first down play it's a shotgun run call the G is three now it's second down and seven two backs now flanking the quarterback they're going to run it solid gain moves the ball to the 43 I know this defense worked very hard at halftime to come up with answers on how to try to slow down this running back after the big first half and he's already at it again he's stopped but he gets a first down how impressive these guys been up front today big third down know what you need to do get the first down continue to hold on to that lead continue to work clock and get that much closer to securing a victory important second down play coming up back to throw it's Nelson here's the throw deep down field deep ball is caught for a huge gain here finally stopped at the four Great catch and run that is great arm strength and accuracy by this quarterback let's not forget the wide receivers job of bringing it in for that big game here comes the Boise State offense back out on the field that costly Red Zone interception the last time out let's see if they can recover from that area boy his quarterback is living on the edge remember he threw an interception in the last Drive thought he might learn from that instead he throws the ball right back into coverage I thought he threw another pck he better change the way he's playing the game or he's going to cost his team a game now a timeout taken by the defense trying to preserve as much clock as possible for their offense not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down oh and it's incomplete and very nearly intercepted they wasted opportunity for a much needed takeway there to the ball plac right at Midfield as the offense starts with a first and 10 hand off as he try to work the clock here breaks loose at the 40 and now it's the defense that calls timeout here trying to get organized and preserve as much clock as possible another nice by this he has had a beautiful day today running the football just kind of in that zone and a big reason why they have a nice lead today it's a two yd gain second and eight coming up now a timeout taken by the defense trying to as much as talk about a ending to a regular season becoming champions of the Mountain West they've made their case now and with a conference Championship in tow it's going to come down to what the committee decides to do if they'll get an invite to
