Will Kellen Moore replace Sirianni if Eagles struggle? + Vikings WR Jordan Addison injury | 3 & Out

disaster but seems like they might have avoided Jordan Addison seriously getting injured seen a lot of positive talk coming out of Eagle camp talking to people that have been there everything is uh Spirits are high especially when it comes to the quarterback and it got me thinking about something I think we should be keeping an eye on and uh news coming out of Denver which felt inevitable from the moment Draft Day happened but after last weekend feels like the writing is now on the wall and basically the hay is in the barn and then just a couple other quick NFL topics but make sure you subscribe I did a video yesterday reacting when when JJ got injured uh so when he got injured I did an instant reaction in terms of when the news came out about the injury I guess that he's gone for to say on Jordan Addison Carted Off Field the Vikings um obviously we all have bad days there is no human alive who does not have a bad day even Gary Vee who seems like he's always positive has some bad days we're all humans some days are worse than others that's not really debatable there are sometimes in life when things happen that are really really bad and make your day awful and I think as a team in football you can have bad day you have bad practice you have a player mou off or says something stupid in the media or you know having a negative impact on a younger player like that creates people being mad in the building and then there are days where you lose player for the season and then during the next practice ice you get a scar that you lose another player for the season when he's carded off and the Minnesota Vikings what felt like were having the practice day from hell on Wednesday looks like they avoid a disaster with Jordan Addison because I was thinking about it today Jefferson and Jordan Addison I mean it's got to be a top five potential Duo this upcoming season in the NFL I mean Jefferson's You could argue the best wide receiver in the league and Addison has a rookie at 70 catches and 10 touchdowns and and luckily the you know thing with unlike a game if a guy gets injured in an NFL game and we're all watching for the most part you know immediately if he's carded off once they show the replay that's not good that looks really bad his season's probably over I mean there are sometimes where the announcer goes yeah we're not even going to reshow this it's too gruesome when you hear that you're like okay season over sometimes in practice a guy is carded off and you you get the visual in your head like an NFL game and it turns out he just freaked out he just rolled an ankle it happens in the NBA all the time a guy rolls an ankle really bad that pain anyone that's had a you know rolled ankle playing basketball you think you've broken your ankle you shake it off and then 10 minutes later in the NBA the guy comes back like two quarters later but it it's no different with wide receivers in DB sometimes they freak out because they are so their whole livelihood is predicated on moving fast and sometimes it's not that bad but when you see cart come out your heart drops because you think gone for the season and Minnesota felt like avoided having the worst day of training camp by a country mile but still sucks and I think sometimes when you're a fan of a team you know it's it's easy being a fan of a team that maybe hasn't won for a while but you know it's always going to be in the mix like the Yankees right even the Lakers it's like we'll figure it out someone will shine here once LeBron retires like we're going to be okay and you know what they're right they will be may not win a championship but you know more than likely it's going to be okay and then there are teams who have just never won definitely a championship where you just question is this too good to be true uh are we cursed I mean Teddy Bridgewater they almost had to amputate his leg he got injured in a non- cont drill cousins lit up the 49ers like he was an MVP and then 10 days later or 7 days later he te Achilles I mean the Vikings were coming on and then this happens with JJ you're like what is how's this possible and then you look your division rival the Packers you're like they went from Favre to Rogers to now this you start asking the sports Gods why are you doing this to me and I don't think the Vikings are cursed I don't believe in curses I believe in karma but not curses I do understand when you start questioning when really bad stuff consistently happens and you just go why it's easy for the dude on Instagram who's giv daily TED talks like stop asking why just make it happen yeah you've never been a sports fan then because things can change and they can change really fast for the for the bad and that's what it feels like with your I've talked to people that have been to these practices there's a lot of positive stuff coming out of Eagle training camp in regards to the offense and most specifically the quarterback talk to people that have been at these practices say the eagles look really good as they should I mean they got a highly paid roster on offense quarterback makes a ton wide receivers make a ton tight end makes a lot saquon Barkley offensive lineman both tackles are paid guards paid they got good players everywhere they look good I started thinking right because McCarthy serani serani McCarthy we're going to talk a lot about these two guys and I feel like I've come to the defense of McCarthy I'm like well I know he's let you down in the playoffs but he's won the division two out of three years they won 12 games three straight years they he took the play calling and proved that he can call plays do I think he's Andy Reid no but is he better than the way the conversation is being talked about I probably now with the Eagles serani almost feels like he's in a no lose situation or excuse me a no- win situation because if they lose he's obviously screwed but what if they win and what if the offense is awesome well there's no pretending anymore we all know he's been excommunicating told be the true CEO stay away try not to get in people's way essentially so if the Eagles have success specifically on offense guess what two years ago they had that happen and they let the offensive coordinator go to the Colts clearly if they could have a redo last year they would have taken a redo and just kept Shane psyching and gotten rid of seran but now they have Kellen Moore who checks a lot of boxes in my opinion he's one of the better college players I've ever seen he was remarkable at Boise State a dominant individual I mean that those teams were awesome so played quarterback at a really high level even made it in the NFL for a while as a backup transitioned immediately to coaching and within a couple years was calling plays in the NFL an NFL play caller starting at like 31 years old so he has many years of calling plays now for several different quarterbacks Dakota Prescott Justin Herbert and now Jaylen Herz well if it does go well on offense and he has a good rapport with a quarterback because let's face it does Jaylen have that much on the line this year maybe with us that talk about football or fans but financially no he's already been paid he's one of the highest paid guys in the league he got his as the kid say bag I hate that word because you don't get bags of money this isn't the mob you get direct deposits that are taxed but that's a conversation for another day but regardless I would say Kell and Moore has a lot to gain because it's kind of twofold one he has a ton of success he'd be a lock to get head coaching interviews but how would the Eagles let him go do they value serani CEO approach that much that they would risk the guy that they've given the biggest contract in the history of the franchise who can impact that guy letting him leave the building again they just had that happen once you break up with someone and regret it well if you find yourself in another good relationship and you go maybe I shouldn't go down that road again and to me that's kind of what the Eagles feel like they have a previous situation in which they know they don't want to experience again and if the Eagles are good on offense this year if their team's good I don't see how Kell Moore gets out of the building so you could argue that if the Eagles lose serani is done even if the Eagles win he's probably in trouble as well Has Bo Nix earned Broncos’ starting job? you know I've been watching football for a living since I was 24 years old and evaluating players now there's a big jump from going from Fresno State to the NFL but I've been watching training camp in terms of young players professionally now for almost 15 years I think 2010 so yeah we're going on year 14 and I think I got a pretty good idea of when a mid- round pick is making plays and you can go yeah this guy's going to make the roster or this guy's definitely an NFL player he he's going to be on a 53 man I think I can also watch a highly drafted guy and go yeah this guy needs to start this old school tough love just get him in the lineup or at least I know how the front office is going to view it coaches sometimes can get weird like he doesn't know enough plays he doesn't know where to line up and listen there's validity in those type statements but this guy does know where to line up and couldn't catch a cold so this other guy how about we figure out where to get him lined up and let him make some plays throw him the ball because not only will he catch it he'll make sh happen after I understand Shawn Payton's a little old school and I do think it's fair when you draft a quarterback high and you have a guy who's already been on the team who's a veteran player to not just hand over the keys right away there is it is worth it to make people earn stuff in any Walk of Life right and plus when you have a team environment to let your the rest of the guys see that like this guy wasn't handed anything he had to go take it and after I watched Bo Knicks last weekend I went this isn't even close because one Jared sdam isn't that talented he's a career backup and there's nothing wrong with that in the NFL you make a lot of money and have a great career and play in the league I mean it's can't be many jobs better in society than backup quar back so it's not I'm not trying to denade that position it's really hard to make it to that spot but there is a big gap between this guy's a backup and he's he should start and B knck who's old so he's it's not like he's some project he's a ready-made player to me him and penck ready-made players they're 24 years old they've been in college for a decade they are they are plug Inplay obviously you develop like you get better the more reps you take in anything but they're about as ready made as you're going to find coming into an NFL draft and Sean pyton acknowledged that bonick is going to start against the Green Bay Packers because even he couldn't have some coaching tactic to take away from what we all witnessed including himself is the best player on their roster for that position and it's time to just stop faking this he's our starting quarterback let's have him take all the reps with with the ones and let's roll now playing in the regular season is a lot different in the preseason you play a coordinator who game plans against you all week long and the more you play regular season games as a young player the more tape gets out there and the more ability for coordinators to figure out your weaknesses and then attack those but bonck going to be the starter he was always going to be the starter and it took him one preseason game to yank that thing away and basically if Shawn Peyton acknowledge this our Will Stetson Bennett make it in the NFL? guy someone who's not the guy Shawn McVey was asked if stensen Bennett had done enough to be the backup Jimmy garoo suspended the first couple weeks for Peds so ston Bennett is trying to earn a spot on the roster obviously whatever the hell happened last year going away you know it's funny and I listen I I respect these guy it's a tough spot to be in but someone on the broadcast was like it it was a good thing and it's like if if you last year just going away to wherever he went a lot of speculation I'm not going to speculate but it was not a good thing if you were the Rams if the Rams would have known they never in a million years would have drafted him you don't draft a player who's got issues and the N would disappear for a year and then gets back in his first preseason game throws four interceptions and as Shawn Peyton says he has not done enough to be the backup personally I don't think he's an NFL player i period point blank in a story that that'd be my take I would not want this guy on my roster and I think they're in a position if this guy was an undrafted free agent they wouldn't even care they would just cut him move on whatever not necessarily now after the Final Cuts I think there's a little pride that comes in when you use a draft pick and over the last previous couple years you hadn't have many draft picks and then everything that happened last year you're trying to like kind of prove yourself right like I think he's shown you he's not physically gifted enough he's not a good enough decision maker he's just not good enough you can find better watching random quarterbacks all over the league who I take over him right now and I think that's the way it ends up playing out that STS and Bennett he looks anything like he did last week it's cyanara Buddy NBC and peacock announced that uh Noah Eagle & Todd Blackledge to call Week 1 NFL game in Brazil Noah Eagle who did all the uh I mean does a lot of games but he did uh the Team USA games for the Olympics will be calling with Todd Blacklidge uh the game on Friday night my person my my first thought is this and I like blackl when he does the Saturday night games for ESPN and he has the little segment where he finds like the coolest Food Spot in whatever the town is and eats like I'm a sucker for that one I think black leg just solid on TV I don't really like I kind of like separating church and state like I like my college guys I like my NFL guys but clearly they're running out of guys because there's a lot of cross-pollination now you know herb Street doing Amazon you got black glage who last year did NFL games so I'm not going to complain that much about it maybe it doesn't matter that much hell you could argue that some of these Crews analysts that are NFL guys aren't that good but yeah that's the crew I I think I don't know if I'd mentioned this I saw a story a couple days ago I think we had a bunch of stuff happen that Netflix will use CBS on the Christmas Day games at least their production crew they have not announced who's going to call the games my guess is they'll try to make a little bit of a splash I I don't know what that means but I I could see them being kind of splashy I mean they that's what they've been trying to do and Hell they've been doing it just with their business model for a long time trying to make splash television shows the Splashy Tom Brady thing I'd be a little shocked if they just went chalk and went with like a Todd blackl type maybe they end up doing that wouldn't shock me if all of a sudden it's like we've hired Philip riverse I I I just use him a lot I that's what I want them to do but just something like that you're like damn didn't see that one coming that's my hope at least
