let Dan and and the other players speak to that but the average release much quicker than last year is actually the only quarterback this year to complete all his passes when getting the ball out in under two and 1 half seconds Playbook has been limited he's thrown just nine passes over 10 yards that's the fewest of any quarterback who's played two games to this point so the question is as you watch him and you watch them yeah is there any question that at least for the for the moment Justin Fields is the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers I'm not doing I'm not changing anything like like Justin field like the when you have the type of formula that the Pittsburgh Steelers have right now they're playing great defense right you know for the Pittsburgh Steelers Justin field like we talk about managing game if you look somebody throw he's throwing seeds out there like Fields is throwing like don't please don't look at the stats and just say oh he is pedestrian that is not how he's playing he's managing game but some of these throws by Justin field this dude is getting better and better and better I'm not changing the quarterback at all when Russell Wilson gets healthy and he had like a 50 yard pass on the dead run to pickings that gets called back because of an offensive penalty so it doesn't become very coachable this year and then two don't let the stats fool you when it comes to 13 Point scored or whatever they could have had easily 20 plus if not for three flags on their offense this is the throw greeny you're talking about full speed on to sprinting to the right that's an absolute Pearl perfect for George pickings this is a touchdown pass to George Pickins that gets waved off because a little bit of a Ticky Tac offensive pass interference then he's going to take a shot versus the newly paid Patrick ceran and if not for pi that Ball's perfectly thrown to George pck downfield so you're looking at two touchdowns in that situation probably another hundred or so yards and 20 plus points I don't think it's an even even a question and I think the biggest thing is he he's shown coachable what was the biggest issue that we talked about this offseason in relation to Justin and his playing style holds it too long Tak too many sacks he's getting the ball out he's not hurting his football team he's playing to the strength of how they want to be identity and defense-wise I think they can play with anybody yeah he was sacked I think twice in this game but here's what I I know about Justin Fields all right he's a dang winner he's six and2 over his last eight games as a starter all right so he finds a way to get it done I said last week I go he came in the league as a better ath aete than quarterback uhoh he's closing that Gap a little bit as a quarterback and I absolutely I'm not going to bench this guy I got a perfect situation in Pittsburgh uh if I'm the Steelers I got Russell Wilson behind them if something happen right you know so I I don't know I I I tell you what this kid I've been impressed with him I've been impressed with the whole offense quite honestly and they're like oh how they stink they don't score any points yeah they win games they're running the ball they're winning games yeah they play the Chargers next week really interesting matchup of two 2-0 AFC teams that people didn't see coming will be the Chargers at Pittsburgh next week quick final thought I I the Steelers have an identity with Justin fields that they're going to run the football he's going to make timely throws they're going to push Will Levis and Dan you made the point after what he did last week just gave a game away against the Bears you would have thought this was the last thing in the world you would have a problem with this week yeah I mean this team is 2 and 0 if they had Mason Rudolph playing quarterback and coming off of last week and what he did against the the Bears and I saw Bill bich kind of talk about him and Tom Brady talked about these situations and whatever you're trying to pull off is not worth that one or two yards that you might get and here's the thing when it's in time and in Rhythm Levis is so impressive when he gets into these adenine type of find ways to lose games and win them That's a classic example you're literally taking points off the board by doing something so selfish I mean and that's what it is it is selfish like this guy plays like he's Brett fa you ain't Brett fa you know you got a chance you're he's I mean he can throw it he's all that he's got a lot of good things I mean you watch him play he does when when it looks like it's supposed to look yeah it's pretty and and look can we play can we show last week's do we have last oh you guys are the best you're not if they can get that out of his game and I think that's a massive if they got a really good player I agree they have to they have to get it out of this game or you're going to end up I mean losing games consistently over and over and over for the that point I'm not saying you bench him forever but just to send a just just so he gets it like we can't have that that said very quickly you used one defense is doing where's the weakness he gets the ball to the perimeter he gets the ball to Garrett Wilson quickly some of these third Downs he knows exactly where he's going to love the matchup and then the Run game I think them getting into some of their different personnels in their run were was a big part if you can keep him clean and some of this empty stuff and then you commit to some of these two back runs is to run the football they're always going to have advantages because of that that's their identity all right so we'll leave that there cuz I want to get a couple other games in
