Love is Blind UK Season 1 The Reunion

reporting live from Mar this is the best Drive I've ever seen from you this is to my beautiful wife to my extraordinary husband hi honey am I the only one who's puzzled as to why we needed the pod squad even Aaron I don't even know why Aaron was there is Aaron a producer plant or something why is it he's been there more than some people in couples I don't I don't get it he's been there as all's best man he's been in there as all his friend when he went to buy his tax is now there I really don't get why he was there and Sam the audacity to come out thumping his chest thinking he's going to you know be able to stand on business and then cry like a little baby when he's feet up held to the fire doesn't make sense and oh my God I love benaya and Nicole they're cute they really are cute I think if you tell me the standout couple they are I know Bobby and Jasmine are still married but I think Bena and um Nicole actually seem more genuine than the other couple but anyway I digress hey comment in this episode I'll be reviewing Love is Blind UK season 1 episode 12 The Reunion okay let's start on the reunion so Matt and Emma are there I personally don't know them I haven't known of them prior to this but I think they're doing an amazing job anyway all the participants are there so you have all the six couples some of who said yes some of who said no and then we have Sabrina and Steven who were yet to find out exactly where they went wrong you also have three members of the PO Squad and it's like make it make sense make it make sense oh including Sam Sam is going to be there obviously he has to be there for the banaya and um Nicole story to make sense and I personally don't understand why Charlotte and Tasha are there let alone Arab Aaron I think should have been a connection for OE because Aaron has been more involved in ol ol's storyline than the girls that all's been in a couple with that's just my opinion I've never seen a series whereby uh someone from the pod squad is that involved that he goes suit shopping he you know he's one of the groom's men he's this that and the other make it make sense what exactly is the relationship between Ollie and Aaron but anyway I digress and so all the participants sit on the stage and they're sort of in welcomed to the to the reunion and you have Emma sort of introduce the fact that Steven and Sabrina are not sitting together and they're going to dig into this and find out why uh you have Oli and uh Demi they're not sitting together as well we both we all know they said no on wedding day um this is what I think I think OE and Demi reached an agreement that they wouldn't drag each other at the reunion that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it because of the fact that they were very vague in what went wrong because on wedding day they were asked that on wedding day you said that you were going to you were not ready to get married on that day which meant that you were still going to continue seeing each other in my opinion and you have Dem say well you know after that I then realized that Ollie wasn't my person so I then moved in with my mom and dad um just to regroup and sort of rebuild myself back up and now I'm in the best shape of my life and you know I'm very happy with who I am and it's like what went wrong after the two of you said no you said not today so what happened afterwards what happened after not today this is what we want to find out and they were very vague about it when all is asks he sort of make you know jokes about it and then he brings in the comment that Katherine made where she said that you know um she doesn't think that Olie is going to like you know uh Demi and it's like okay this is something else that we have to unpack and Katherine for her on her part is Her Own Worst Enemy because instead of apologizing and saying I didn't mean any any sort of any malice I just said it just it's something that I just said because I felt and given an excuse as to why she felt that way but sadly because she tried to pretend like she she wasn't you know she didn't mean any harm she didn't this Demi then jumped in and called her out and said what did you mean um you had Jasmine jump in because all he saying that the women that is dated in the past all look like Demi none of them look like Catherine and it's like oh my God oh my God this is messy this is really messy and sadly for Catherine she now tried to use tears to get herself out of trouble because she realized that she screwed up instead of once everybody called her out instead of her apologizing Matt had to drag her out of the mud because she she kept sinking deeper and deeper and it's like make it make sense just apologize just tell these people you're sorry and they will forgive you and move on but the more you try and hide the more you try and pretend to be innocent and mean no har this is why they're dragging you like that um you had Charlotte Charlotte was there well Charlotte is very vague she said for the you know if it were not for Ollie she doesn't know how she would have survived the last few weeks and it's like why you were never featured outside of the the day when the pods God met so what was Oli shielding you from what was he protecting you from and only he said you know the relationship is complicated and it's like what do you mean it's complicated what is it tell us I wish they were asked more questions about that I wish they had poked and probed them more or maybe it's it's yet to come I don't know I can't wait to hear it so next we have Sabrina and Steven what do I think I initially when there were the first reveal I thought oh my God they are the ones that are going to be successful because this has been the pattern for for Love is Blind USA so to hear that they split up I think I always said if you listen to my previous reviews I always said there was a big elephant in the room in regards to wanting children and not wanting children and so I thought that was their sticking point and I felt like if they're going to get divorced that was going to be it even Matt said so that he felt like it was either going to be the distance or it was going to be the children issue and Sabrina says that no with the children issue they had extensive discussions uh at one point stepen actually took time out to go and think about it and actually realize what he wanted and then he came back and they were good on that but it seems once the cameras went away once the cameras went away um they their representatives also went away in the sense that their communication became bad because stevenh apparently doesn't like to talk on the phone unless there is a purpose to the to the call one two um he didn't visit her in Belfast as much as he promised he would it seems he made an arrangement to go and see her and then canceled at the last minute she went to London about seven times I think she said and um there were things that she did in preparation for him she said she bought an ining board and it's like so you didn't have an ining board how were you iring your clothes why would you need to buy an ining board because he was coming what was the purpose of that I didn't get that um she said she bought coffees because she doesn't normally drink coffee but he drinks coffee so she bought coffee because he likes you know coffee she bought a coffee press uh because she was really trying to make this marriage work what do I think I think there's his story there's her story and then there's the truth that's my opinion I that's how I feel I feel like there's Steven's story and then there's Sabrina story and then there's the truth so elements of what they're saying the truth could be there in the sense that yes there was poor communication yes the distance played a big part in it yes stepen didn't hold up to his and of you know making sure that he was constantly there and available for her she as well I think has her issues we will never know what her issues are because they kept going round and round and round until Emma had to sort of draw a line underneath it and say let's move on because nothing was being said they weren't reaching a conclusion I feel like they they found qualities that they liked in the person and ran with it and just thought this is my person and they ran out it and they didn't have extensive discussions and those so to them they were putting up appearances and were so focused on keeping up appearances that they didn't get to know the person they were with until after they got married and then once they got married they were like oh me why is he not doing this why is he not doing that but it was too late because they had already said I do and I think this is why they're separated do I think it's a good thing yeah I do I do because there's no way they will ever going to resolve their issues I think they should have had a lot of conversations before they even reached the proposal St stage I said this before and then once they reached the proposal stage and they were out of the pods they should have still had communication and conversations about what life would look like if they said yes but they had their heads in the cloud and they didn't want to do that because they were happy with the person they liked how the person looks and they liked whatever qualities the person had and didn't dig any deeper next is Bobby and Jasmine Bobby and jasine for me have been a wild card since they said yes in the pods because I struggled to quite understand their story I'm going to say that I know that Jasmine had a connection with Bobby and with Sam and then she chose Bobby over Sam and then they proposed and they had a reveal which seemed cute um they went on their honeymoon with the rest of the group and they seem to be in a very good space and so them coming I think their only obstacle was the mom because the mom wasn't on board with Jasmine instead of marrying this guy she felt he might not be able to provide financially for her for her and also the fact that he he didn't have a university education was something that played a big part in her mother's decision but Jasmine decided to be defiant and went ahead with Bobby I feel like bobb's a loving and caring and compassionate young man and I think Jasmine saw these qualities in him but also I think because he really likes it that much I think he allows Jasmine to get away with as much as she wants this is why I think she's on board with him I'm not saying she doesn't like him I feel like she likes him romantically but I think she also likes the fact that she can get away with whatever she wants to get away with um they showed their apartment obviously they first showed where he lived where he had this pull out bed and then they showed you know where they now live with Jasmine and it seems Jasmine is running this relationship I don't know whether that's just for the TV or whatever it seems like she sort of had the word with him and they decided on what they were going to say at the reunion because he said Bob is very grateful every weekend he tells me he really loves our life and he's very grateful for the life that we're leading um and it's like H did he really say that or are you saying that on his behalf what does he love about it what does he love about your life um they did speak to Jasmine's mom she gave her seal of approval she gave her 110% and so we saw a lady in the background I think that's um you know um Bobby's mom and so it would have been nice to hear her opinion in regards how she felt when she saw the things that judgments mom said about her son that would have been nice to hear I would have really loved that to hear the mother's opinion of you know the in-law but we only got to hear from Jasmine's mom um they say they are trying to have a baby and it's like oh okay if it works for you amazing but hey it is what it is Jasmine did sort of mention that they have the difficult conversations they're not afraid to address anything and it's like is that taking a dig at Steven and Sabrina or what make it make sense Tom and Maria broke my heart that's what I'm going to say because I had high expectations for them I had high expectations for them and sadly their own Prejudice played a big part in their final decision because these were issues that they could have spoken about and they could have worked through but I think because Tom says he was raised by his mom he's never had a male role model and so for him his ideas on life are totally different to most people which I get Maria on her part was raised you know in a family that her values are different to Tom's values although they were attracted to one another they seemed to really like one another and so it's sad to think that they just couldn't communicate because their main issue or their sticking point was the fact that Maria wanted to be a stay-at-home mom when she G first gave birth to her children which makes sense if you've lived in the UK you know that life you know Child Care is very expensive so it would make more sense for her to be a stay-at-home and because she's a makeup artist it's easier for her to sort of do it from home or to visit people and sort of freelance in the first couple of years so I don't get why they didn't have that conversation that she doesn't necessarily need to be in full-time employment she can still work occasionally and still make money here and there but she doesn't have to be fully in full-time employment and so I don't get why they split up and I don't get why they are with well I sort of get it because Maria seeing the things that Tom said that you know you wanted to raise independent daughters that didn't rely on anyone could be heartbreaking and the fact that Tom promised her mom after she was very welcoming to to him that you know he would take very good care of her daughter he would be the man that she wanted only for him to turn around and say well actually no this is not I want what I want in a relationship I want someone who's independent I want someone who's going to pay their own way and it's like I know someone in the comments was sort of trying to raise the point that Maria wanted someone to look after her I don't think she wanted someone to look after her as in like she wanted a loveish lifestyle I think she wanted someone to sort of just pick up the load while she is looking after the children and then when she goes back to work then they can help each other which makes sense because at the end of the day matli in the UK can be up to a year it depends on your employer so at the end of the day she could have stayed at home for the first year or so and then gone back to work and Tom if you really want a family could have afforded to look after his family for a year I don't get why he couldn't do that he could have afforded to look after his family in the first year so that I didn't get I like the fact that Maria was able to hold his feet to the fire and sort of say you were disrespectful towards my family especially my mom seeing how kind and how nice she had been to you um I wish she had apologized I wish she really had said the words I am sorry because he didn't say I'm sorry no he didn't he acknowledged that yes he was wrong but he never said I am sorry I think that is what Maria wanted to hear she wanted him to utter the words I am sorry for my behavior I am sorry for the words that I said that uh hurt you that was never my intention and I think she would have moved on but because he didn't say that this is why there is an issue they show this connection with Tash for what reasons I do not know because this man never said he liked Tash and to date he's not dating Tash so I don't know it's different to Charlotte who we know that OE and Charlotte are in a complicated situationship so I don't get why Tash was there because it's embarrassing and humiliating and for her to say well this was able to give me closure because I was able to understand why um you know or how the connection was formed this is my opinion I feel like uh Tash suffered from the same syndrome that uh Katherine suffered from they saw the guys that they liked have a connection with somebody that they felt was lesser than them and they couldn't understand why the guys were going for these girls that were lesser than them and this is why they were in denial and they kept pushing and pushing and wanting these guys to pay them attention especially attached to the extent that after someone was engaged and had gone away on a holiday she still insisted on letting this man know that she loved him irregardless of the fact that he had a fiance so in my opinion I don't want to use the racist card but I feel like these women this uh well I feel like Katherine and Tasha felt that they were better than uh Maria and Demi and so this is why they couldn't didn't understand why the guys were going for them next is banaya and Nicole banaya and Nicole represent this sort of naive innocence that you can't help but love you can't help but love them in the sense that they are just two people that are madly in love with one another and their outlook on life is totally different from everybody else that's my opinion because they show us their year in marriage and it's so cute because they've done a lot more all we saw with Bobby and Jasmine was them and their apartment whereas with banaya and Nicole we got to see them travel we got to see them in mares and you know they were traveling out and about it seems he was going to a workplace and whatever and so it's nice to see that they are just enjoying life as it comes they're not sort of setting unrealistic expectations this is what I said I remember saying on my part that Baya has got bang and people were criticizing me that just because you know you you think someone has got bank doesn't mean he's got he's got Bank he's financing or Nicole and him are financing this lifestyle the money must be coming from somewhere and I feel like Ban's got bank I'm going to say that I feel like Ban's got bank and I feel like banaya is able to provide Nicole the life that she needs uh or the life that she wants I think she as well has got a very good paying job and so she's able to finance her own lifestyle but it seems like they're in their own little Paradise they're traveling the world they getting to see everything which reminds me of Zack and Bliss because Zack and Bliss in their first year of marriage they did a lot of traveling before they settled on and had their child and so I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened with banaya and Nicole um they then brought out Sam for what reasons I don't know I don't know Sam must have gone to acting school before he presented himself on the show for this reunion because he tried to make it seem like he was innocent you know he was just there for love and people are you know using him as a scapegoat um he wouldn't apologize you had to have you know Demi say to him you need to apologize to Nicole because he was called out for his behavior for the comments he made to bah saying that you know Nicole wanted to have sex with me when she came to my apartment and he later accepted that he lied and it's like so seriously you made upet a life for what reason was your little boy ego that bruise that you had to lie on this woman um I don't get why he didn't own up to that the fact that you know he wouldn't own up to you know his comments about he doesn't know whether he'll be able to carry Nicole and it's like you're not the best looking person you really are not you're not that good-looking you've had work done on yourself in order for you to look the way you do so the audacity to think you can criticize other people doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense he came out all pompous and he left like a little boy who had been rained on and I think he felt like he was going to be able to speak his truth and say whatever nonsense he wanted to say so the idea or the audacity of the show to sort of drag him fulfilled he didn't expect that and for demi to then tell him that he needs to apologize I don't know why a grown person needs to be taught to apologize he should be able to apologize on his own without someone sort of encouraging or impr prompting him to apologize I'm happy that you know benayah and Nicole are in a good space they seem very happy they seem to be at peace and they every time they asked about Sam they complimented one another and I think to them they've decided to move on they've decided to sort of underline you know the topic of Sam because as B said you without Sam they would have had a smooth sailing relationship and it's it's a Pity that he was sort of unsure of their connection because we actually got to see a clip of them after their first meeting and I think it was too good to be true this is why they were both hesitant and were not sure whether the other person on the other side was putting on an act it's a Pity that Sabrina didn't take a page out of their book but hey it is what it is last up is Katherine and Freddy what do I think I think they both got away with murder that's what I'm going to say because I feel like there was a lot more issues that could have been addressed with the two of them I feel like they whether it's the producers or the editing something nothing was addressed in regards their sort of uh coupling I know they did bring up the issues of Katherine being very Snappy with Freddy and how that changed him because he looked like he was working on eggshells every single time he looked like he was afraid to say anything in case he triggers her and they did speak about the cheating comment and and she sort of tried to get herself out of trouble by saying you know I didn't hold that against him I just was someone who's been cheated on a lot and it's like why is it every single partner has cheated on you what have you done or said that has made them cheat on you because you can't seriously have all your ex Partners cheat on you something something's a bit off with that is it because they felt like you were cheating as well make it make sense um I like that Freddy's sister sort of spoke up and said she stands by her decision and that advice that she gave Freddy she didn't feel like they were good for one another yes they looked amazing together but that was it nothing else and that's the truth really that's the truth they look amazing together but their connection was a bit off the moment she started being Snappy with him that's when their connection went left and that's when he should have run for the heels because what's the point in staying in a in a relationship with someone who can't appreciate you for who you are um do I think they should have been asked more questions yes I think they should have asked Katherine about Sam and what happened with her and Sam I don't know why Sam left before they discussed this because when Sam came in he ran and he sat next to he sort of sat in between Freddy and Catherine and you could tell Freddy was uncomfortable so it makes me question whether Katherine is actually seeing Freddy or what I don't get it um do I think they should have asked them more questions yes they should they should and Freddy should have been asked more questions why is such a good-looking well accomplished young man sing like him sing Le why why make it make sense I don't get it something is off with him as well whether it's because his family is very sort of in his business as his sister was or whether it's just there's something off about him I don't know what it is and I wish we had found out I wish they had addressed it with Freddy so that we know why he's actually single I might actually look at their post you know production interviews that they're doing and maybe see if I can do a little review or a recap of those conversations or anything that comes up because I feel like there were a lot more questions that needed to be asked that should have been asked and it's sad that nothing was asked they said they'll remain friends for forever and it's like okay but what is it about the two of you that made it not work I know they spoke about the earrings and Freddy said you know he was doomed if he did and doomed if he didn't so that's why he bought the earrings I feel like there was a possibility Freddy would have said yes but I think his sister speaking to him is the reason why he said no because there's no reason why he would have bought earrings for someone he wasn't planning on marrying that's just my opinion and I'll stick to it um it was a great season I really enjoyed it I can't wait for the after the altar so we'll see what happens then in the meantime um thanks guys for watching please don't forget to like share comment and
