some time the Colorado buffalos come to Lincoln to take on Nebraska a one and0 coach team in a showcase 6:30 tomorrow night on NBC it's going to be one of the best games we've seen in quite some time and with that there's a lot of of hype who's going to win will it be coach Deion Sanders Travis hunter shador or will it be Dylan Rola and Matt rues so I want to welcome everybody in to the live stream hey first off put your score predictions in the comment section it's the last time you can put that out in the world so let me know who do you think wins Nebraska Colorado and also I want to plug something I am not going to the game tomorrow so what that means is I will be going live after the game so come back to this channel here on in sports and I will give you my instant reaction um so absolutely you're going to want to be there for that but man really exciting stuff um big game and let's just start talking about it what's going on um and what my predictions are so the first thing is I am nervous about Colorado right I talked about that in my video today that I'm nervous about them I think they're a good team I think um well let's let's rephrase that I think they are a talented team they have shador of course who's whether you like it or not he's a top 10 quarterback they have Travis Hunter who I believe is one of the best wide receivers in the country along with one of the best defensive backs in the country and after that they have a really good receiver core they have talent on this offensive defensive lines now with that being said does that mean they're a very good football team no because they have depth issues they have coaching issues um but yeah there there's there's a couple there's a couple talented players on this team for Colorado for that reason I think they can beat us I really do like I'm I'm just going to put that out there like this is not a guaranteed victory for the Huskers we lost to them last year in dominating fashion they like they they blew us out in Boulder so I am nervous and I think if we do lose this game tomorrow it's because of one of two reasons number one shador has a field day he could throw the football at will our secondary can't step up and Travis Hunter has a good day um or number two we can't establish the running game and we can't control time possession which is pretty much critical in any big victory um so we really need to do both of those things we need to shut down the passing attack and get the running game going but with that being said I am nervous but there are a lot of questions around this game there's a lot of hype we know we've seen it uh the Nebraska fan base the Colorado fan base they're excited for this ball game but I want to address some things that I've seen over the last week um some question marks about Nebraska what what we do if we win do we storm the field so I want to talk about that I apologize looks like there's a little bit of lag going on um for the video portion um hopefully that goes away pretty soon here again in the dorm so again definitely a little bit of a different setup here away not not in the house I will be in the house tomorrow though but um there there was this question going around on social media and I want you guys to answer this for me if Nebraska wins and beats Colorado do we storm the field to that I would say no and I'm I'm a guy who likes fun okay I think we should have fun as a program I think that you know if we have a big ranked Victory we should absolutely storm but in this scenario we're playing Colorado Colorado's not good they went 48 last year they're not good this year they're talented they're a rival but they're not good so tell of people saying oh we should storm the field if we win uh let's let's wait on it next year maybe maybe a year after that if we have a big win but this isn't a big win they're not ranked they're not good and there was also another thing that was going around people were saying that okay get this right so Deion Sanders I talked about this in my past videos he is a great motivator which means he's going to get Colorado feeding off the booze feeding off the energy okay he did that last year but there is a narrative going around that instead of booing Colorado when they come out the gates Nebraska fans should all be silent like that would that has went viral on social media that oh instead of booing Colorado we should just be silent we should be indifferent that's Cory in my opinion to the to Nebraska fans saying yeah we shouldn't boo Colorado like who cares let's boo him why not we booed UTEP we boo every team we play Colorado's going to feed off the boo sure they are but being trying to force the entire fam to be silent is really corny in my opinion um I don't know that was another thing I saw on social media did they were like yeah we should we should be silent against Colorado when they come out the gates like why we hate Colorado yeah yeah they might get fired up from the booze is that really going to give them an advantage really is that the difference between winning and losing so I don't know I thought that was an interesting talking point uh I've seen on social media recently uh that we should apparently be silent instead of booing them like we should just be respectful the entire game I guess let's just but while we're at it while we're at let's just uh not get loud on third down let's just you know like I don't know I I think people took that a little too far but there it's been running around social media all right before I get to all your score predictions that I asked you to drop in the comment section I will get to all of them don't worry I want to talk about a question that I have going into this game I'm sure all of you are concerned about this or have this question what is the running back situation going to look like because if we rewind the tape and we watch Sho over again we saw four running backs got re get real action yeah ramir Johnson Dante Dell we saw Gabe Irvin and then of course we saw emit Johnson who I believe played the best out of the bunch what is that going to look like in this game and I have received a lot of comments about one running back and that's Dante D and everybody says that he's going to be the guy who breaks out this game he's going to get the most reps but to that I would say he's the most unproven yeah he had a good game versus utet minus the fumble but out of the four running backs in that room he is the least proven he also has the biggest turnover issue out of all of the running backs in that room so if you're Matt rule do you put out a guy like Emma Johnson who's maybe not as talented per se as Dante dat I don't necessarily believe that but can secure the football or do you put out a guy like Dante D who might might fumble it and has it big in been in these big moments before now if I'm at roll I'm putting out Emma Johnson every single day of the week just because again Don D got reps first EP but everybody got reps because he wanted to see what he had that was the purpose like that we're not going to see four running backs in every single game he only did that for a onetime basis just to see what he had to give everybody an opportunity it's not happening again so I I know a lot of people were on the Dante D train we think he played good versus UTF I also think he played good but was it good enough to roll him out there as the starter versus a really good Colorado team in which we need a beat I don't think so so I wanted to address that about Dante D I think it's going to be EMT because I think EMT played the best yes he had a big run but he also again the average nine yards per carry he was the best um finding that hole shooting through it I really liked what I heard from Matt rule about him so I think it's EMT um you know Gabe Irvin will be in the mix had two touchdowns people forget that and rer Johnson honestly had the best speed and explosiveness out of the bunch we have a good running back room but it's not going to be like it was versus UTEP okay it's not going to be like that at all so watch out for that I just wanted to I wanted to address that because I know a lot of people we we don't know what we're going to get in that running back room but I think it's going to be em and I think he's going to prove himself uh versus Colorado and we'll get to that of course as the stream goes on I want to talk about the recruits we have on campus Because this is a big recruiting weekend guys and you know I I always look at things through a recruiting lens in almost everything Nebraska does how can this benefit recruiting Because if if you're a fan of the program you have to follow recruiting Because that's the future of the team okay you can't just follow us on on Saturdays and not watch recruiting so recruiting is very important it's something that I care about and it's a big recruiting weekend for us I mean we got five stars on campus we got Michael Terry we got dson Merritt we got Jackson kwell so that's another reason we got to win I know a lot of people just focus on the winning aspect and you know beating beating Colorado is good enough alone but if you can beat them a team that is very familiar in the minds of these recruits beat them bad even you might flip guys like Dawson Merritt you might get guys like Michael ter you give yourself a better opportunity so it's a big game for a multitude of reasons multiple I mean just multiple dimensions of it not only the current program not only the current season but the future of Nebraska football you know people I remember we we got a lot of recruits on there for that Michigan game in 2021 and we didn't win it however a lot of recruits still to this day say yeah even though Nebraska lost that game against Michigan they wanted to come to Lincoln just because of that in the atmosphere so always think about recruiting guys and this is a big week Dawson Meritt I talk to him again this is a guy who always liked Nebraska I didn't think his recruiting process was done when he committed to Alabama it certainly isn't Michael Terry obviously has a committed somewhere they're friends those two Jackson canwell he Bas basically David Sanders 2.0 this time in the class of 2026 it's huge man it's huge I want to report on something real quick um we have a couple guys who canceled their visit Brandon Arrington uh the number one athlete in class of 2026 will not be on campus this weekend he will be on campus later in the year just not this week uh Jordan Campbell also the guy I covered about two weeks ago who's a current Miami commit will also not on campus however again he's trying to get another visit going so I want to talk about recruiting there uh we'll get to that again we have a long show tonight get in let's have some fun uh let's talk about our predictions all right it's to that point in the show where I talk about my score prediction and I go over what you guys are thinking so I ask you guys to put in your predictions in the comment section if you're just getting here put in who you believe wins and what the score is now if you watch my video today or even if you watch my season prediction video from a couple weeks ago you will know that I think Nebraska wins 28- 20 over the Colorado buffalos so there's a couple reasons why I think it's going to be a close game number one Colorado has a high powerered offense and we have a good defense don't get me wrong like I I I completely trust our dline our linebacker core Tommy Hill members of the secondary but I would be stupid to say that I think we're going to shut out or even get close to um stopping Colorado's offense because it's high powerered okay shador is a good quarterback they have a top five receiver core in college football to the likes of Alabama Georgia like it's really it is very good very very good so I think they put up about 20 points on us but with that being said I think we put up 28 because first off we're not we're not in this game and put up a lot of points like if we if we get into a shootout we're going to lose cuz they have a high powerered offense too but in my opinion we're going to run the ball down their throat we're going to control the time possession we're trying to milk that clock throughout this game okay we're not trying to go fast-paced trying to milk the clock so I know some people were saying like we're going to put up like 49 points like we're not even going to be in a position to put up 49 points because we're hopefully going to control the line of scrimmage and run the ball down their throat consistently so 2820 is my final score I think Colorado strikes first 7-0 but from there it's Nebraska takes over D roale is a good day and um we're two and0 you know it might not be the most pretty game in the world and I'm trying to tell people that like we might have a pick here and there we might give up a touchdown we might be down at halftime but if you win that's all people remember okay we were up at halftime versus Colorado in what 2019 should have won that game didn't matter we went to overtime lost that they get Bragg rights so and I also want to mention the fact that Nebraska does not have carado on the schedule going forward like Husker online mentioned earlier this week this could be the last time we play Colorado for the foreseeable future I'm 18 right now we I'm we not we might not play Colorado until I'm 39 like it might be 20 years who knows so enjoy this game enjoy Colorado coming to town because yes we hate them but we also love the Rivalry we can hate the team but we love the game and I'm a proponent of and I'm going to talk about this in my post game live stream tomorrow I want this to be a regular series like literally every year if we could I'd rather have Oklahoma every year but they would never do it I would prefer to play colado every single year though let's do it why not they're a big rival we hate them they hate us why not are are they are is it better that we play Cincinnati next year than Colorado like I don't think so let's do it let's do this every single year um but man this is going to be again it's going to be an incredible game I'm excited for it I'm excited you know what again we hate car fans but again the Rivalry just having them come to Lincoln it's going to be fun like we just don't have too many big rivals anymore like we really only have this during Iowa week where we just ah hate them we can't wear black we can't wear the gold even um it feels good to have a a rivalry like this and I hope it doesn't go away so 2820 is my final score I'm going to see what you guys have to say um again put and that's if again this offense plays as good as we know they can um that's if you know a guy like Den Royal has a really big day which I expect I could see it Jake says 38 uh 3813 again I I I I think they absolutely happen this defense would play pretty stout better than I'm expecting I again I'm just worried about the secondary and I've talked about this for you know all offseason long like this isn't like a last week thing like I I've talked about this in March I talked about this in May I talked about this in July I am worried about the secondary versus Colorado because I truly believe the secondary is not great for Nebraska and yeah they play good versus UTEP but UTEP is UTEP I truly believe when push comes to sh we're going to play an Air Raid Offense or not necessarily even Air Raid Offense but a high powerered good wide receiver core we're going to get burnt okay Malcolm harzog had a really hit or miss game versus UTEP that's been his entire career I don't trust Malcolm harzog versus Jimmy horn one-on-one man coverage I don't trust him one-on-one versus Travis Hunter okay and everyone says oh Tommy Hill Tommy Hill's in that secondary Tommy Hill could only guard one guy at one time assuming we play Man coverage so a guy like Malcolm harddog is going to have to have a good day a guy like mares Buford who's not used to playing corner is going to have to good have a good day BL Hill who is available who is available but I don't think he's going to start needs to have a good day see your right who had some good RS first UTEP needs to have a good day like this entire secondary needs to step up in order for this defense to play capacity but I'm going to tell you one thing the defensive line is most important I I always say this the D line is more important than the secondary because even if you have if you have a I'll throw an example if you have a really really good secondary but a bad defensive line it doesn't matter because the quarterback has all day in the pocket somebody will get open eventually however if you have a really good dline and a bad secondary it doesn't matter how bad your secondary is because if they can guard him for one second and the D line gets the quarterback right away boom you won that rep you won that down so this Nebraska defensive line need to take over the ball game I think they will I think Nash needs to have a big day I think Jamari Butler needs to have a big day like when you're watching this game tomorrow watch the interior guards for Colorado because their tackles are good their their tackles are actually pretty solid I think they'll have a decent time versus Nebraska but watch those interior guards in that Center because Nash needs to dominate because they're not very good but I I again the defense we'll talk about them um but it's it's just all dependent on the secondary because don't be surprised when we watch Colorado and they only throw the football because that's what's going to happen like they're not rushing I believe how many times they Rush against North coasta it it was very low very low I think they had 20 yards on the ground combined of all their running backs it was pathetic they're not rushing especially good a good Nebraska Ren defense all right let's get to some more here 3121 again that's very similar to mine yep I I I agree I think that's a good one um I think Colorado probably get a field goal here and there just because I think they'll drive down Nebraska have they have a really good Red Zone D so uh but I like that score prediction 4217 Dion drinking a little bit of the Kool-Aid there with that with that offensive prediction 42 points I could see it I could see it again that's just if everything goes right and that's if D RI plays up to speed we rarely ever PT the football I could see it I like that prediction I also want to throw out one more thing here for you guys to consider as we think about this game tomorrow night what is our kicking situation going to look like we did not really have to worry about kicking versus UTEP because we were going to win no matter what like we were going to win we could go for it on fourth down and not have to worry it's not the same thing here we're going to have a kick that we need to make for Colorado we're going to have a fourth down perhaps on our own 35 yd line we're going to have about a 50 yard kick do we make it what's the kicking situation going to look like cuz there's a good chance this is a close ball game as much as we want a dog in Colorado there is a good chance this is close where does our kicking situation look like when we need them the most do they step up does Tris novano make a big kick is it John Hall I'm worried about it guys it's an issue it's been an issue and now this is the first time that we'll see it in an actual real game okay UTEP sure was a real game but we didn't again we didn't we didn't need to rely on the kicking game now we do so I'm worried about that um against against Colorado team that it's going to it's going to be a close game guys I literally just got into it with a Colorado fan who said Nebraska is the same team they were last year yeah again don't don't I'll say this to my viewers do not get into fights with Colorado fans and argue with them because they're stupid they're stupid again they will they will try to convince you that they're a completely different team and then they'll go to Nebraska and say oh Nebraska's the same are you kidding everything about Nebraska is better than last year like every literally everything about us okay our running back core is better our wide receiver core is better our offensive line is better our defensive line is better our linebacker core is better our secondary and maybe our secondary is not better and then the biggest thing of all our quarterback play went from one of the worst to the best okay somebody commented this on my video today K fans are going to miss Jeff Sims because that was their best player in last year's game Truth Truth like we went from Jeff Sims who was helping out Colorado he probably had that Colorado money line last year guys don't be don't be shocked don't be shocked if he was throwing down some money on the Buffalo we go from him to Dylan IA who's one of the best Patrick Mahomes 2.0 like I mean come on and this is the same Colorado defense last last week that gave up 22 completions from 26 attempts against a North Dakota State quarterback imagine what Del Ro is going to do to that defense so man again this is a very improved Nebraska team the Colorado fans I I would say they're trolling I would say they're just looking for for a fight but I truly believe they're not smart enough to know the difference like they I truly believe they're just not smart they don't they don't cover or they don't follow any other team besides themselves and that's why I try to implore even my viewers like yeah we're all Nebraska fans but it's also good to keep an eye on other programs like follow what they're doing see who's on their team like don't just be like a one-sided fan um but Colorado fans are absolutely one-sided and they didn't start watching college football until Dion got hired the majority of them um especially on social media all right let's see it 4124 been saying it all week it's a good one but that assumes one of two things either one you make two field goals or two you miss an extra point I like to know which one you think is going to happen I would um I would think in that scenario we probably miss the missed the or miss the extra point but um because I don't know if we make two field goals I don't know if I trust our uh kicking situation enough I think I already answered this one Jake AJ says 28 24 so this is the closest one I've seen I could see it nobody's picking Colorado oh we got one we got one hold on I got to get to this 4128 Colorado again very possible very possible and and that goes along with the same thing I the theme I was talking about if Colorado wins this game it's a shootout and Nebraska's defense can't stop him that's the only way they win like they they'll have to put up around 35 points to win like they can't win only putting up 20 or 28 like it's going to have to be um it's going to have to be a shootout in order for them to get the victory so I could see it again in a scenario where Colorado wins that's what happens it's a shootout so yeah I could see it uh 37 to 17 okay get a lot of pretty easy covers like you guys are thinking Nebraska wins by 10 20 I I'm all for it man but if you're that person also hey maybe maybe you want to put some money down on that spread I'm kidding don't don't do that if you don't want to um get a lot of again a lot of good victories here not not too many people are picking Colorado we'll see we'll see what happens not too many people are picking the Buffs that's all right that's that's what you'd expect um all right I'm going to show should we storm the field absolutely not yeah so people people agree with me that we should not storm the field versus car out again I'm not sure why that I I can't remember who said I think it was like bar stool scurs was posing the question that that would be embarrassing again I am in the boat that we should storm the field like I'm not one of these old heads who says no we should never storm because we're historic program like I'm not in that category but at the same time if we're to storm the field it should be in an actual impressive win like Colorado we might blow them out and they're rival but it's not a good win like they stor the they stor the field when they beat us last year that's fine congrats to them for doing that I thought it was embarrassing that they did that because they ended up winning four a games but no we should not storm the field if we're to storm the field at Memorial it should be a special Victory like again a top 15 win so like I don't I'm not sure if we play Oregon at home next year but if let's say we do I I know we play Oregon but I'm not sure if we play him at home if we play Oregon if we play Oregon at home and we beat them we should throw the field that's an example all right 3426 I like it I like it a lot Ross I like it a loss oh we got my boy CU Buffs Dynasty what is up my man this guy has been hopping in my live streams for the entire offseason I mean since like March talking about this day and it's finally here so I hope I hope I see you tomorrow in my postgame live stream see you Buffs um regardless of a Colorado win Colorado loss keep it I'll keep it light for you my man like I I won't talk any crap we'll keep it civil tomorrow unless we lose then I'm going to be very mad but uh you guys have to tune in guys have to tune in for that one we need to act like we've been there before um well I don't necessarily agree with that like in in general like I think because we really haven't been there before not in this generation like I like I hate I hate being saying that because I have never been there before as a Nebraska fan I have never been there before winning a big game ever these players have never lived in a world where Nebraska's been in that situation however so I I think we should storm the field in big games just not this game because it's not big enough it's not big enough if we win big double digit we should be ranked next week I think we'll be on the outside looking in basically no matter what I think we'll be right there around like 27 range cuz I don't I don't suspect too many top 25 teams to lose this week uh we need a bunch to lose in order for us to get up there but I i' I'd prefer it that way Nathan like I don't want to be ranked to be completely honest with you I'd rather hustle in silence go 3 and0 4 and0 5 and0 before we even have to worry about that then people will start catching on right it's not it's not a race um that's just my opinion I don't care people are overthinking it people shouldn't tell others how to be a fan I say have fun stor of the field and L off 20 years of frustration again I I I agree with that Dion like in general like I you're you're not far off I just and I and I also agree that we should have fun as a program like I said that in my alternate jersey take like just let's just have fun let's let's have alternate jerseys but there's something so symbolic about storming a field and I just wouldn't feel right if we did it against a Colorado team that won four games last year I don't know like let's just wait in my opinion like let's say let's say we play Wisconsin we should we should stor the field versus Wisconsin that'd be a really good victory better than this but this isn't a big win in my opinion if we were to win it's a it's a big win for us just not a big win for the program like there's differences there's differences got to win before we talk about storm on the field I agree completely agree completely agree I I don't know at this point been so disappointed the last how many years won't believe till we see it as long as we win by one at this P at this picture I don't care just win completely agree just win just win baby it's the only thing that's important it's the only thing that matters agree completely agree I agree Emma Johnson is fantastic but any of those running backs would have fumbled that helmet shot to the arms I just don't think you could hold that specific fumble against him as a mistake I again it just there's a common theme like Dante dat Str struggled for sure in spring camp with fumbles like Matt R mentioned it we heard about it so it's not too surprising that donante D also fumbled in the actual ball game I'm just saying in a must-win game for Matt R like let's put the whole narrative rivalry to the side Matt rule is still to this day not proven as Nebraska head coach people forget that he won five games last year his best win last year was against Northwestern he has not had a big win as a Nebraska head coach he needs this like is it safe to say that if Matt R loses versus Colorado he might be on the hot seat or it might be getting at least a little warm so I I said all that to say this in Matt rules scenario would it be in his best interest to play Dante dat who might be maybe the most talented player for at that W or that running back spot or would it be in his best interest to put in a guy who he knows will take care of the football and not turn the ball over there's a lot of talent like let's say Dante D is number one EMT Johnson's not too far off like Dante might be right here EMT might be right there you know but I know one thing for a fact is that EMT takes care of the football B and he has time and time again I don't know the only reason why Dante Dow got as many reps as he did versus UTEP is because Matt rule wanted to see what he had he wanted to give all his running backs an opportunity that's the only reason we're not going to see that again like maybe versus Northern Iowa we might but not in a real ball game I think Emma johnon gonna be the guy don't get me wrong Dante is g to get reps like he's not benched but I think it is in Matt ru's best interest and I also believe the best running back on the roster is Emma Johnson he should start tomorrow and at least get the most carries again EMT Johnson is the most talented he has played the best EMT Johnson played the best in Fall Camp he played the best in spring camp like this is what we do as a fan base is we hype up a player after one game like everybody's opinion on Dante dle shifted after watching him one time okay if you asked any of these guys any of these commenters who they thought would be running back one a week ago they probably wouldn't say down to dat but after seeing him one time versus a UTEP defense a group of five defense are sold they think that he's the guy they think he's better than everybody and maybe you're right don't get me wrong like I'm not trying to discredit your opinion but we should go back to the facts and the facts is EMT Johnson takes care of the football better EMT Johnson is just as talented if not more they're two completely different backs um like I don't know and EMT Johnson played last year so again I just again ask yourself this if you're on the Dante Dall train what did you think about him a week ago you probably weren't that high on him you can't have a solid opinion about a running back from seeing him play one time that's my take we've seen Johnson play more than one time we've seen rir play more than one time we've seen Gabe play more than one time so don't sit here and you know try to say Dante's the guy we watched him play once like we what what do you have eight carries versus UTEP again UTEP is UTEP we can have this conversation like later down the road in my opinion just not just not yet like I don't know but I've heard too much of the Dante Dow train like where were you guys where were you guys two weeks ago you weren't you didn't have that opinion you have your opinion after watching One game where he had eight carries and fumbled the football and he he looked good like I'm I'm not saying he played bad versus utap I'm just saying we need to see it consistently we've seen the others play consistently for that reason Emma Johnson should start if not Gabe here's the packing order in my opinion EMT Gabe rir Dante and they all roles we're just not going to see the same situation we saw versus utap like we's going to be one or two running backs to get legit reps this game I don't know that that's my whole spiel about Dante that's my opinion you could defer that's perfectly okay I'm just saying we need to see it more consistently from Dante D and he struggled with fumbles in Camp it's not a surprise he fumbled versus utap you in my opinion in a must-win game vers Colorado you do not want to put out a running back who who is known to Fumble the football when you have other running backs on the roster who are just as talented and are secure all right that's my point we have more important games to focus on Colorado um well I I I mean maybe like later down the road in the back half of the year but not right now I mean carado is the big game right now then we have Northern Iowa that's a win then we have you know I mean who who else is after that we have um Purdue Illinois like come on so I I don't necessarily agree there this is this is the game at least for now for the first half of the Year yep G with you Matthew so um yeah this call game is important again I know a lot of people disagree with me on this Dante datle thing I can I can see in the comments section I'm just saying again where were you a week ago you did not have the same opinion about Dante as you do now because you saw one game a game in which every single running back on Nebraska's roster played good so you just got on the Dante D train six days ago don't don't sit here and act like okay he's the guy after watching him versus a group of five team all right 3528 we stop them at the line of scrimmage to prevent them from tying the game that's odly specific I hope it doesn't come down to that it might as well it honestly might as well BL Hill back for our secondary yes he is BL Hill should be back 100% I don't believe he's going to start nor should he um I I don't feel necessarily confident about him starting just because again he's he's a guy coming in from the FCS ranks that'd be a tough game that'd be a tough game' be a tough tough game for him um to just basically play Colorado from the rip and play Jimmy horn and Travis Hunter yeah conference games are more important in my opinion uh I I I agree it just depends which conference game like I I don't think that I don't think the Purdue game is more important than this but I I guess in general yes conference games are more important because that that dictates us going to the big 10 Championship or not 2720 it's pretty Sol all right I'm concerned with hard soog and and if you will give up a couple big ones I am too I'm too again heart soog is a boomer bus player that's what he's been his entire career and he played corner like we kind of knew he Wood versus UTEP and he got burnt like that was the one big play they had our defense was perfect besides that one play and it was manto Man Press coverage we've seen the story with Malcolm harzog and it got burnt because time in time with Malcolm harzog and this is why I wanted him to move to safety we moved him to safety at the end of the day is because he's a ball Hawk right he's not good at man coverage because he's constantly looking at that football trying to snag it out of the air so I I do believe if you know Jimmy horns one-on-one with Malcolm hardzog or Travis hunter or lante Wester that they're going to have a field day because they're more talented than he is I'm worried about that match up for sure again this the the whole secondary our secondary versus their receiver corar will dictate the entire game the entire game you win or lose based on how your secondary plays like it might be bigger than that but it's really not like if our secondary cuz our don't get me wrong our secondary is not going to stop their passing attack it can only slow it down so if we can slow down just a little bit get Shor to the ground get a good pass rush in there the game is over we already we just need to do that we're not going to stop it that's impossible we just need to slow it down the quicker we can do that uh we'll see how we'll see how quick we win um Dylan getting a lot of love on Friday night ESPN game what is that SMU BYU are they talking about him I know I know they've been uh talking about that game all week man it it feels good to have some media attention though feels good to be talked about on you know ESPN on NBC on Fox right feels good for this to be an actual game that people want to watch besides Nebraska fans cuz so many times do we sit here and we talk about Nebraska playing Illinois when nobody's actually watching besides our two fan bases it feels good to have a game that other fans around the country are actually interested in watching are actually excited to watch that tells you we're doing something good as a program uh that we're going back up SIMs was Colorado's best player yeah exactly what we were talking about this is the most important Nebraska game since this is the most important Nebraska game since the Colorado game last year maybe Iowa game last year but again this is important game all every single game is important that Nebraska's ever played but this is particularly important because this is the last time you're going to play Colorado in a long time Nebraska secondary better have a lot of wind in their lungs yeah I completely agree completely agree it's going to be a long day it's going to be a long day like these this secondary will be out there a lot they're going to be running around a lot like Colorado is not rushing the football they're just not the secondary they they have a long day in front of them but we better hope that that the D line comes through people have too much faith in this team of 40 Burger I know their defense isn't Stout but our offense is still young I agree I agree like I I think our offense will probably struggle against car just a little bit right Dion or not Dion Dylan might have um a pick he might I TR Hunter is in that defense guys shallow Sanders in that it's it should be Banks ner just was open a lot in the slot versus utap they had a poor defensive scheme against him um so yeah coach has been saying D dowo had a had has it okay I cannot talk holy cow coaches have been saying dowall has come on strong in Fall Camp yeah he had a good fall Camp he just had a really bad spring camp again that where he had that fumble issue so that's what I'm talking about like again people acting like Dante again I just don't I don't want to seem like I'm crapping on Dante because I think he's a good player but I one thing I don't like is hypocrisy not necessarily hypocrisy but I just don't get it where all these Nebraska fans all offseason were very not that high on Dante dat and they saw him play one time one time and all of a sudden he's the guy if they play good if they play Bad you can judge them but if they play good against UTEP who cares it's UTEP every single one of our running backs played good okay Dante played good Gabe played good he had two touchdowns EMT played good he had a big run rir was awesome like I don't know let's have this conversation about the running backs or specifically Dante datle in two or three weeks when we see more of them like there is a world where Dante datle could be our starting running back in the back half of the Year there could be there could be a a scenario I just think and this is my opinion Rule's doing he's going to go to a guy who he trusts the most and I think it'll be either EJ it could be any one of those guys could be EJ could be rir could be Gabe because they're all veterans at Malik Coleman is a terrible thing and it means he's going to transfer like 80% chance because if you are red shirting him when he's completely healthy which he is yes he struggled with injuries early in the offseason but as of right now he's completely healthy if you're red shirting in him in his second year it means he's not good enough it means he's not good enough to play okay if he is not good enough to play right now he will never be good enough to play our wide receiver court is only getting better it's only getting better if he is not if nak colan is not good enough enough to start right now or good enough to play he is not good enough to play next year think about it who are your wide receiver starters next year jiron Bonner jayen Lloyd and then you have jakori Barney that's probably going to be her three next year that's a darn good three then after that you have guys like Isaiah mosy who I believe is going to be in the mix as a true freshman you have Demetrius Bell coming back from injury who played phenomenal during spring ball like I thought he would probably start that's how good he was playing you have potentially even Michael Terry in that mix you have Carter Nelson in that mix you have Davon Hall in that mix you have Quinn Clark in that mix so the receiver core is only getting better and and that's not even including potentially a transfer or two we might get in that room which will probably happen so if Malachi Coleman is not good enough to play right now he is not good enough next year which means he's going to transfer and again he is completely healthy right now like he was not in the injury report last week the only reason why they are red shirting him is because they believe he's not good enough to play right now that is the only reason let me ask you something how many Nebraska white receivers in the past have went three or four years without starting and have stayed on the roster all answer zero absolutely zero we've had a lot of talented receivers come and go who didn't start two years and leave because every single wi receiver wants to find the field if you are not starting going into your third year you will never start Malachi is not not only going to not start next year but he might not even play again so again it's a very very weird situation with him because he played last year and honestly he played pretty okay you know he again he had basically that one big touchdown pass or catch I thought his blocking was all right um but I know I just think a lot of people are you know they're like okay we're red shirting him he'll be fine next year he'll start next year like that's not how it works if he's not good enough to play right now it's not like the wide receiver core is going to take a massive downgrade next year like it's going to get better it literally will janir boner might be one of the best returning wide receivers in the country same with Jan Lloyd same with to Cory Barney so just wanted to talk about that didn't it wasn't really big enough to talk about in in a whole video but again I just think unfortunately like all signs point to him transferring and it sucks cuz he's so talented he's literally 6'4 runs a 44 I don't know but from what I've heard and what other people are speculating I know Husker online talked about this it's not about Malik Coleman and his talent it's just about him doing the right things from Monday to Saturday and being bought in that's the most important thing be bought in I don't know we'll see all right let's get to some of these yeah people are talking about Malachi yep um tomorrow's the 30-year anniversary of the Epic 94 game yep yep I was watching that earlier this week it get me hype man rer Malachi to put on weight moving to D I could see that again I actually kind of liked Malachy potentially playing linebacker for Nebraska when we originally recruited him um I just think it might be too late now guys like we're it might be too late Coleman is a similar receiver to Banks and ner uh I I'd compare him more to ner because he's fast Banks really isn't fast it's hard to justifi playing him over them his size will be helpful after Banks and N are graduate though again the the only thing I'd say to that is again who who is he beating out like Bonner's big boner is 6'4 he's gonna be a wide receiver X next year so again I just don't think he's going to start next year he's not going to play really I mean again there's we're going to get a transfer there next year as well it the like Coleman is just not good enough yet it's very clear if Matt R is going to Red sh him it means there are six or seven wide receivers right now who are better than him if our eighth best wide receiver starts next year that tells you a big downgrade happened in that room just saying all right wanted to talk about that um but uh let's get back to the game here folks I'm just hoping it's because we're so deep a wide receiver that retro was a game plan yeah is a wide receiver X he might be a little bit undersized for wide receiver X but that's big enough that's big enough something I don't don't remember speaking on importance of this game recruits coming in to watch live yeah again we talked about this at the start of the Stream like again we we talk about how important how important actually winning is for the rest of the season but again I always think about recruiting and how this how this or whatever we do can impact recruiting Because that's the future of the program if you win this football game against a Colorado team that every single recruit is familiar with in the entire country they all know who Colorado is they all know who Deion Sanders is if you can win that game and blow them out and Destroy and embarrass Dion they're going to remember it for the rest of their lives and they're also going to remember that 90,000 that were screaming I mean it's just we need to we need to win this ball game and if we do we can get guys like Michael Terry we can get guys like Dawson Merritt we can get guys like Jackson canwell so yep it's a big game it's a big game and there's so many recruiting implications and this might be the last chance that we have to potentially flip Dawson Merritt just win also there were too many people commenting on my videos this week they said Wilson do you think that so many recruits are coming on campus just so they can watch the game in person that's stupid I don't know why people would comment that like no there are not people coming on campus just so they can get a front row view
