good morning Nebraska Nation it has been 280 days since the Huskers have played a football game but the weight is no longer the Huskers will play UTEP today at 2:30 at Memorial Stadium so today's video I'm going to give you my last second thoughts and opinions and the things I'm looking out for in today's matchup so really quick it is finally game day if you are pumped up hit that like button game day for the Huskers oh my goodness does that feel good to say I just want to go over some things that I'm looking out for in today's match up I'm going to be there at Memorial Stadium let me know down below if you are also attending we might see some familiar faces my first thing just win I know a lot of people like to talk about the point spread your score predictions statistics predictions that's all fine in Dandy I do the exact same thing but at the end of the day the only thing that matters and what will be remembered in 5 10 years is if you win the football game or not go out there and win and let's start off 1 and0 for the first time this decade that's crazy to say second thing play clean that means two things no turnovers right specifically Dylan RI I do not want to see him throw interception he's going to have some Jitters there's going to be some mistakes but hopefully he does not throw that int because that might tank uh true freshman confidence we don't want to see that I also don't want to see a running back fumble the football right we want to play clean the second thing no stupid penalties time and time again we've an offensive lineman ruin a drive because oh they have a holding on first down and 10 or we have off sides or just absolutely stupid stupid mistakes um that are the reasons we lose football games we can't have that today let's just minimize all of the mistakes and play clean football number three establish the running game so actually I really like utsd line of linebacker core it's pretty good for group of five football but the theme of this year is running the football you've got to run the football and be successful at it in order to have a successful offense because that's how Matt R operates and yes Dy Ro is going to absolutely have his arm um get going today but you need to give em Johnson and gab Bing a healthy dose of carries again once again they again feed them uh hopefully this rushing game gets some stock into it before we play Colorado next week but again not necessarily key for today but get it going because that's the key for the rest of the season you've got to have a good rushing attack to complement your passing game that's only going to help out Dyan Roa in this offensive line fourth key to the game or fourth thing I'm looking out for get to the quarterback I want this defensive line to Feast I'm not impressed by this UTF o line guys like Jamari Butler Nash Ty Robinson cam lenhard Prince wall manam MJ Sherman like we need double digit sacks at this point okay we like to talk about how Elite this def defensive line is go out there and prove it no more talking go out there and show us why you believe you are the best dline all in college football so let's get to the quarterback let's strip a couple balls here and there hey we might have a defensive touchdown I'm not saying I'm just saying I want this defensive line to take over the football game that is huge last but not least the thing I'm looking for I want some backups in the football game I want to blowout today okay I'm a little greedy I know I said I only want to win but I want to blow up because time and time again we play group of five opponent or play FCS teams and we play the starters the entire way because it's a close game that can't happen you schedule these teams so you let your backups get opportunities you let your freshman get opportunities I want to see a drive from Daniel Kalin today I want to see quit iives play running back I want to see daon Hall at wide receiver I want to see Carter Nelson with a catch or two I want to see guys on defense like Willis mahe Larry Tarver Amari Sanders so again let these freshmen get reps and you only can do that if you blow out UTEP in the second half so hopefully uh the fourth quarter it's garbage time you can get in the second stringers the third stringers that would be huge that is the number one thing I'm looking out for because uh we need those guys to get opportunities again we we can sit here and talk about their practice and how they're playing against other players on Nebraska's football team the real thing that matters is actual game film and these freshman need to have an opportunity uh to go prove themselves so all right guys those are the five things I'm looking out for in today's matchup man I'm about to head down to Memorial
