Chargers RB Room Stats 2024 Predictions

Intro okay folks Andrew bpro here well I want to do a video talking a little bit about the running back's room uh going into this season get a general idea of where these gentlemen's heads are at as far as the running backs and really talk about predictions on what I think could potentially happen statistics wise for our three running backs that we have going into this season right so a lot to discuss I think it's going to be pretty interesting video and I also want to talk about two potential players that are really going to affect how good we are in the running game this season so guys NFL especially with the Chargers but I figured this would be great uh conversation of topic and I want to hear your thoughts so again these gentlemen are doing a great job and again I do still think that we might even go after a few more players and there's some more player videos I want to talk about maybe next week that we'll go into I'll probably do a whole video on tight ends James is gonna do a video on wide receivers probably tomorrow or Friday so we're going to have a conversation around that but uh in this video talking JK Dobbins about running backs let's get into the first discussion here is uh really our boy JK Dobbins now my belief is he's probably a running back one what do you think do you think he's gonna be the running back one for this team I think he is right and I'm just gonna say this right out of the gate I think the reason why I think that is because he's really an overall running back now he's had injury concerns as we all know but the thing about JK Dobbins he does it all right he can catch the ball in the back field he's electric when he has the ball and he can still run with power so he's sort of the best of you know kind of the allaround back now again the question is can he stay healthy again before I go into a little more about JK dobins I also do think it's gonna be a bit of a running back by kites so I'm gonna talk about three running backs today that I think will get a significant amount of carries to some degree but you're going to see a little bit more of JK dobins in my opinion of the three that I'm gonna talk about today so but again we all know that that JK Dobbins is the guy he's expected to be technically the lead back from everything I've seen everything that you know really you know Jim Harbaugh talked about but we'll see you know again he has the ability to break tackles and contribute the passing game should make him a key player for the Chargers uh offense so I look I think he will be so I use artificial intelligence a little bit to figure out what statistically the running backs are going to get this upcoming season I thought that was interesting I also have my own predictions but I thought you know what let's let's see what AI says I'm take a screenshot of what AI said about JK Dobbins and this is what it came up here right here so rushing yards 900 to 1200 I think that's very fair I think I think 900 is I think that's about where I had him uh for the whole year now again you have to remember too he's on a pro it type deal for the Chargers right so I don't suspect he'll be with this again next year he wants to get a big fat contract he wants to get some large bags so I do think if he hits 900 a thousand yards this next year you know we might resign him who knows but if he does have a breakout season I can see him signing a big contract with another team but rushing touchdown seven and N receptions I think 20 to 30 about accurate he does receive the ball a little more than most of the wide re or running backs on our team uh you know he'll get a couple rushing touchdowns but I think this is a very fair number right I think this is what AI came up with uh it's right about what I expected him to potentially get so what do you think about that right do you think that JK Dobbins is really the the running back one or do you think he is going to be the running back two running back by committee what are your thoughts and what do you think of these numbers that uh that AI spit out here so very curious what your thoughts are Gus Edwards second guy on the list is Gus Edwards now I we all know Gus Gus the bus he's a big dude so just so you guys know he wasn't really at OTAs because he he was working through some injuries we found that out very late in OTAs and again Jim Harbaugh cannot talk much about injuries largely due to Hippa violations right that's that's player information around their health and their well-being so you're going to see a bit of a theme of that moving forward there we're not going to really talk much about what people have going on with him but again the thing about Gus Edwards that I love is he's a power running back third and short Gus Edwards is going to be in there that's what he's gonna be right so again north south go go get those tough yards that's what he's gonna do goal line situations right so he might even get more rushing touchdowns than someone like a JK Dobbins just because he's going to have more goal line situations um but again he is a good compliment to Dobbins and I really do expect it really be more of a running back by committee so you know to some degree you could say running back one but it's like well who's G to get more carries who's gonna be maybe the more every down back I would say right now would be JK Dobbins but Gus Edwards man he's just so good right he's the short yardage goal line situation and adding very very very valuable deep and uh versatility and that's really what he does as well so I like Gus Edwards I think he going to be an absolutely amazing running back for the Chargers as well hopefully he stays healthy just like JK Dobbins but again let's see what AI says this is what AI spit out as far as you know predicting uh statistics for Gus Edwards rushing yards 600 to 800 I think that's very fair that's about what I thought he would get anyways right I don't I don't know he'll that he'll be the every down back now again that could change if JK doans has some injuries or Gus Edwards has some injuries right or kamani Vidal for that for that matter right so um you know again it'd be interesting to see but but Gus Edwards rushing touchdowns four to six receptions 5- 15 he does not catch the ball much right so I I would not suspect him being that guy that's not really what he does um receiving yards about you know 50 to 100 but a receiving touchdown Zer to one you never know we'll see what happens with that but I do suspect we'll probably throw more to tight ends than we would to someone like a gus Edwards I think that's just not really his Forte he's the PowerBack he's the Workhorse he's the bull you with the big Longhorns right anyways you get what I'm saying so so my prediction on that but we got the Kamman Vidal rookie our boy kman Vidal and you know the thing about him is is you know I look at him as a really nice mixture of JK dobins and Gus Edwards He's much smaller you know he's 5'8 but just as they all like to say rocked up right he's just he's a big dude man he's he's really hard to bring down so I'm very curious to see how we use him again he's a rookie we all know that um again obviously he hasn't proven it in the NFL at this point so we'll see what he does but again I think up to the up the very beginning of the season for sure he's a very very limited role probably come in for a series or two here and there but that's really about it right if Edwards and JK dobins are available I think they'll probably get the majority of the carries come on might might all might come in you know if if Dobbins wants a bit of a breather or something of that nature but other than that I think it's really just going to be the the JK Dobbins and Gus Edward show um but again uh you know they're going to we're going to distribute carries so I think he will get some carries for sure and he is a much better catcher in the backfield he's much like more like a JK Dobbins in that regard or an Austin Eckler funny that he's Us in the same number as Austin Eckler um but again I do think it's gonna be a bit of a multi-b back system right again I haven't talked about Isaiah Spiller because we haven't really heard much from him have no idea what the plan is with him moving forward but he would be the fourth running back in this situation um but again you know well see how it plays out right I I do think that he's going to you know have to kind of prove himself in the preseason right because I do think kamani and Spiller probably are maybe potentially neck and neck but I do think that kamman is gonna win uh over uh Spiller just because you know he's these guys pick right unfortunately for Spiller didn't get much playing time underneath the you know Brandon stor regime probably the fourth running back now in this regime moving forward so we'll see so let's see what the AI says here I'm going to talk about my next two players that are really going to affect the ability for these guys to run the ball uh kamand videll rushing yards 300 to 500 makes a lot of sense because again we don't know how many carries he's gonna get injuries are still not a you conversation up to this point rushy T Downs two to four he will get some receptions a lot more than guus Edwards as you noticed does catch the ball very well out of the backfield um in fact I almost wouldn't mind seeing him in there if you had Gus Edwards and um kamani Vidal and you had Gus maybe potentially as a lead blocker and then uh you know Vidal is is more of a you know a passing you know type of play I could see some interesting little trickeries on on things like that so so it'd be very interesting to see if we do some two running back sets as well too but again I think these statistics are exactly about what I would suggested moving forward so let's talk about the two players that I think are really going to affect this year's running offense right and and and again 100% I think these two people and and I'll add a third I'll just verbally I don't have a slide for it but I'll add a third to Trey Pipkins this as well but I think right now Trey pipkins how can he move to Right Guard right again you know we know he was our right tackle but at the end of the day him moving to Right Guard is a big step right you're in the middle of the mix a little bit less finesse more power and they are just trying to jam people down your throat so I'm very curious to see how this gentleman makes the transition According to Jim Harbaugh everything I've heard everyone seems to think that this is going to be a fine transition for him so we shall see guys I think really you know when when Camp really starts is when we're going to get a really good understanding whether or not that's true or not but I think this gentleman right here is going to make a big impact on that offensive line again Harbaugh has consistently said I want to put the best Five Guys on the field clearly he's one of the best five guys and it's his job to lose at this point so I'll just leave it at that and let's Rookies talk about the rookie joal I think joal would be completely fine I think he will be fine at right tackle but again he's not naturally a right tackle he he has played right tackle in the past but he's been left tackle for the most part in college so I think there's G to be a bit of a transition there especially when he starts playing with you know obviously NFL type players but I think we'll get a better idea once Camp starts but I think those are the two guys that I want to talk about that I think really are going to potentially affect whether or not we have a good or bad rushing offense talk more about the tight ends I think they're going to be part of it as well too but I'll do that next week the other guy I would say is Zion Johnson right Zion Johnson I did not bring up a photo of him but I think Zion you know he had an okay season last year but he's looking mad rocked up super strong I think he'll have a bounceback season as left guard but again he's got to prove that he can do it right I think he's gonna be pretty athletic I'm again I think Zion will be much better but we have to see he's go to he's got to step up a little bit his PFF scores were not the best uh last season so you know a lot to talk about on this guys and guys what do you think you know do you like list what do you think this these you think AI is way off you think my numbers are way off I mean honestly I'm not going to lie to you that's really very close to what I thought said statistics wise we'd see for these three running backs assuming they're healthy for the season right again cannot predict uies at this point but what do you guys think right I want to hear your comments at this point right now it's just a conversation let's talk do you like those numbers do you dislike those numbers do you like the video again
