hi it's Mitch from picd dogs.com here with your free pick in the Pirates versus Cubs major league baseball match up on Wednesday August 28th 2024 if you like all the free picks we do at pic dogs you love our premium picks our Best Bets just go to piic dogs.com click on the premium pick tab I've got a link conveniently in the description below if you make bigger bets thousand or more per game got 10,000 plus bankroll looking for VIP style picks we offer those as well but these are all long-term packages so if you're looking for long-term packages VIP style text the number you see on the screen we also have you know daily packages long-term packages as well in our regular premium so click on the link in the description but let's get to it we got the Pirates taking on the T the Cubs two teams playing for another year but the thing is both teams kind of have some things to look at here over the final month or so of the season of course the Pirates have this great young pitching staff really a lot to build on for next year have some good young players on the roster the Cubs certainly have some players as well they were a playoff team a year ago not the case this season and uh you know they just the bats just went dead over the bulk of the summer meanwhile you know in today's game Kyle Hendrick gets the ball and Hendrick really has not been the same Hendrick that we've seen in the past either we've seen him play a little bit better recently over his last two starts allowing three runs over four and two3 against the Marlins allowing just one run over five full against the Toronto Blue Jays but his strikeout numbers in those games games way down and the thing is is that while he hasn't allowed a lot of runs recently he has been knocked around for the bulk of the Season his erra for the year 6.33 he's given up 19 bombs 29 free passes a struck out only 67 batters over 101 Innings of work and uh over his last three games though a 3.45 erra for hendrik so certainly has pitched a lot better recently oh man is he just auditioning for a job in Chicago or somewhere else meanwhile on the other side of it for the Pirates it is the Phenom it is the guy the one the truth and all everything else combined it is Paul SK making it Paul SK day in Pittsburgh they certainly call it that there and we certainly call it it here we call it they call it that everywhere because he has lived up to all the hype all the billing and this guy just simply can throw the ball 100 plus on a consistent basis mean that 104 mph fast ball what going to do about that you can't simply cannot teach something like that for the seasons skin at a 2.30 ER 121 strikeouts over 98 Innings you know guys get on base on him guys can't hit him all those things happen but when you have those bailout pitch boy can you really uh you know get out of trouble in a hurry and that's what we see skem do and that's what kind of makes him so special the Pirates as a team hitting 229 versus right-handed pitching over their last 10 games the Cubbies just 235 and the Pirates Bullpen has been the better of the two as well by a full run and a half 2.41 erra to 3.89 for the bullpen of the Cubs over the last 10 games but overall the hitting you know has been pretty even but what's not even is Paul SK and Kyle Hendrick I'll take skin I'll take the Pirates that's going to be my free pick of course while you're doing your picks putting your bets in be sure to use our free betting tools at sportschatplace.com 100% free and they'll help put you on the most favorable bets on the board today
