Michigan Football Injury UPDATE + Jadyn Davis Commitment? Uniform Rumors & Michigan Legend Suspended

weeks um and somewhere quietly Adam Biggers is curled up under his desk sucking his thumb because he tried to say Kate McNamara's left the program a couple weeks ago guys a complete scumbag so I want to make sure that you guys knew now I don't expect came back tomorrow to play because I believe JJ McCarthy will be in for that entire game but nevertheless Kate mcmur if something were to happen or little recruiting update they may have seen But after some thoughts on where things stand with Michigan's recruiting efforts but did want to throw some news at you at the top of the show Michigan football legend in some ways he was a pretty good player there uh 28 2010 to 2013 I think it was Frank Clark suspended two games uh by the NFL for their personal conduct policy already have some guns or something Jack right gun stuff what a weirdo he was always in trouble I got suspended down the stretch of his Michigan career I think he missed the Ohio State game his final year there uh but he suspended two games for just having guns and not like you say something else to do but that is a quick update on Chief's defensive and Frank Clark thinking back uh over the years um you know I've I've been around the way I think the 90 a big time for me in Michigan football the 2000s right 2000 2010 right uh some hit and miss uh I think this last decade two in 2010 2011 through uh you know 2020 was also hit and miss a lot of Rich ride a lot of uh Brady or Brady Hoke Etc into Harbaugh but I was thinking back about this Michigan State I've you know definitely think I asked you a day or so ago about what's your favorite Michigan State Victory it's 2004 for me I was at the game it was like a week before election so you had uh Carrie Edwards signs right John Kerry and uh there's a John Edwards whatever the Edwards was and people were people would kind of change it and wrote Braylon Edwards for president it was a kind of a wild time um but really we started to think about the best wins from that era against Rivals so what do you guys think about this one I'm thinking um electric wins maybe unexpected wins coming back down 17 versus uh going on the road against Notre Dame went to 2006 against number two Notre Dame and absolutely blowing him out of the water which is the better win more memorable win for you guys 2004 MSU the Braylon over Time game type MSU if it's the annihilation in South Bend of number two Notre Dame uh there's Prescott Burgess picking up a ball and running for a touchdown go ahead and type ND down in the comments all right Jaden Davis one of the top two or three quarterbacks I think is number one right he is number one player overall in the 2024 jy365 rankings but other services have him ranked as the 12th best 15th best player third best quarterback he's visiting again on Saturday for the Michigan State game is second of two night games so far this season Vision Michigan Stadium he saw an aerial display from JJ McCarthy in the Hawaii game or at least early on and he will be back for another electric nighttime atmosphere coming up on Saturday now Jim Harbaugh went to visit him on Friday and Jonathan Goodwin um Michigan's former offensive lineman who is a coach on Jaden Davis High School team Davis there Goodwin's son is one of the top receivers on that team is also being recruited by Michigan as well he put this photo out on Twitter by Jonathan the Goodwin it's Jay goody55 on Twitter this is from Friday and Michigan co-offensive coordinator Matt Weiss was at the game they had on Friday I think Harbaugh actually took off and didn't stick around for the game he had to be out in the Bay Area for some recruiting and then the 49ers game so Davis is making his fourth trip to uh Ann Arbor in the past five months so what are we doing here Jaden Davis what are we doing is a commitment coming I tell you what he came in the summer he came again for the barbecue in the big house he came for the Hawaii game and now this um he's looking at other schools right Georgia but they got a he's got a quarterback commit recently uh now you know LSU and some other schools but he seems to be really infatuated with Michigan his teammates couple of high school teammates are looking at Michigan in the 2024 class he's got a uh you know Jonathan Goodwin in his ear about Michigan is he going to commit or not because if a commitment's not coming soon I know he's only a junior in high school but nevertheless if a commitment doesn't come soon I'm not sure what to expect from this recruitment if you think of a guy come so many times to your school visits visits visits on his own time right these are not paid for by the University of Michigan his parents are somebody you know in his high school is paying for these trips travel's not cheap right now what will happen if he doesn't commit soon after this visit is he not seeing something he's looking forward does he want to look around elsewhere I think it's something definitely to keep an eye out for this recruitment people have been asking about Nakai Hill Green Michigan starting left uh starting linebacker um in the request for mailbag calls and just in the comments of pretty much every single video he's not going to play this Saturday he hasn't played a single game this year uh we remember he got bent he started a few games last year got benched for junior Coulson but uh soft tissue injury I'm not going to speculate any further and we're not going to see him this week I'll tell you what I've said this a couple times in the past few weeks I don't know if I expect him to play this season as of this point that's no inside information so don't kind of go yelling at me if he does place hope he does hope he gets healthy but eight games into the season you're missing every game what are they gonna do bring him back and is it back up right you're not going to want to play him in a big rivalry game like Ohio State or maybe a big game against Illinois uh without playing for the first eight nine ten games so the guy Hill green might just take some sort of medical red shirt or something else and return to the field next season Michigan is now a 22 and a half Point favorite of Michigan State the over under has popped up to 54 and a half it was 51 and a half a couple days ago and Michigan went to a 21 Point favorite then 21 and a half now is 22 and a half so clearly and I verify this the early money has come in on Michigan so the Michigan defense and offense both scoring um so scoring on offense scoring defense top six in the country number six scoring offense number three scoring Defense Michigan stay on the other side stuck on there 27 points per game 78th in the country in offense Giving Up 27.1 So more than they score tied for 73rd um people expecting Michigan to drop 45 plus points and Michigan State to score a struggle to score so that is uh what the sports books and the Bettors are putting their reputations and money online early on in this game coming up we are going to talk some uniform rumors I think this is one of the first games in a while that I haven't had if not some sort of actual information prior to the official announcement or a very strong indication what mission's going to wear so stick with me we'll kind of talk about what rumors and you know uh projections are out there on Michigan's bottom maze that uh Michigan's Warren for basically forever the Wolverines have never worn non-blue at least as far as back as we could go uh looking through hundreds of games and every little alternate alternative Jersey I've never worn non-blue Jersey at home now they've had those jerseys they wore against Michigan State for one year and in Notre Dame that those Throwbacks but there's talk that they could wear all the all blues again there's toxic where they all Maze and have a blue out in the stands which is not official yet or the reverse uniforms like you see here on screen the had trouble with the snap this makes my skin crawl thinking about being in that Stadium everything that happened there so bad Omen right Sean McDonough has not called a game at Michigan Stadium since the 2015 Harvest first year against the Michigan State team that went to the college football playoff he had trouble with the snap blah blah blah Michigan State one of the all-time walk-off wins one of the worst moments in Michigan football history I'm hoping that he brings a little bit better Vibes into this one but uh if Michigan loses this game Sean McDonough I'm coming for you pal I am coming for you the Big Ten is sticking status quo for 2023 there has been a lot of chatter a lot of rumors that they would scrap the divisions for one year and kind of get everybody used to not having divisions before potentially going divisionless in 2024 we've got guys going division list in 23 in anticipation of 24 but they're not going to do it they're going to keep the current divisions for next season We'll add USC and UCLA in 2024. options discussed for the 2024 season have been divisionless where you get three kind of guaranteed teams and there's a lot of chat from chatter from Michigan it would be USC Ohio State Michigan State that'd be pretty tough sledding if that was the case um and then you'd rotate the other what 12 teams in the league you play uh you know six of those 12 uh basically in two year stretch as you play two on two off so um I'd be interested to see what happened that they went divisionless or a pod system where you basically got okay Michigan's got a paddle house it's got a pod pencil it's got a pod and let's say USC's got a pod right it's like top team middle team lower team bad teams and you'd be spec you know evened up where Michigan Ohio State would be in the same pod next year Michigan Penn State their pods will be together the year for that Michigan USC and they kind of have a division that would be a winner or loser you know two divisions that would just be floating every year interesting I'm not sure which one I like I've actually intrigued with the Pod because it would kind of mix things up right you wouldn't just be stuck with a dominant big tennis maybe a crappy Big 10 West like we have right now but expect the 2023 conference schedules which have been taken off all uh you know public websites Etc the new schedules to be out sometime in the next few days if not early next week all right my neighbor if you guys have watched the show for a while think back to December of last year uh we're looking for house hunting my son was starting school so we wanted to kind of be in a nice School District um bought a house guy directly across the street what are the odds in Dallas Texas has Michigan State as his address right everyone on my street has like these curb addresses some people like the Texas flag some people have colleges Texas A M Texas Texas Tech Michigan State right I'm not even talking about like kind of category I'm talking about right across the street I walk out by front uh door and I was over his house a couple weeks ago he's got a couple Sons younger Sons they were talking some trashes before Michigan State lost like four straight but uh nevertheless I uh we're having a block party on Saturday the entire Street shuts down everyone's supposed to have kind of a front yard party and um he's gonna be out there so it's his family they're all Michigan State kind of Die Hard fans how should I celebrate wink wink right uh people have said James you should have all your friends over after the game and TP is house uh you should get a Mega a phone and blast Hail to the victors towards his house I'm not trying to be a jerk right I don't want the neighborhood to hate me or anything like that so give me some celebration ideas some um I guess uh classy celebration ideas how we can kind of rub it in his face once Michigan dominates Michigan State but not the point where he's going to call
