Nigel Farage Has Meltdown Over Ban On Smoking In Public!

hi guys so of frag is having a bit of a meltdown at the moment over the idea of people being banned from smoking near beer gardens and stadiums it's funny cuz the same people who want to ban protests like just up oil or Pro Palestinian organizations are crying foul over a restriction on smoking in public areas Nigel who's very good at weaving truth and fiction and selling the result is right that if you make something illegal you facilitate the underground trade of it but I believe he's missing the bigger picture here have a listen labor are going to ban smoking in public places like beer gardens of pubs they're obviously determined to close the last of the British pubs down no if they were determined to close the last of the British pubs down they would restrict the number of new licenses they would actually close down the pubs but they're not doing that this is the same sort of rhetoric we heard about 25 years ago back at the early the beginning of the century when uh Britain and land in particular and other countries in Europe I believe uh introduced a smoking ban in pubs and I remember the rhetoric in the runup to the ban a this will close down pubs forever who's going to go to the pub anymore people love to go to the pub and have a cigarette and a beer this is going to be the death of pubs now some pubs did close down but others adapted they started offering food so some pubs succeeded here some pubs adapted and survived this is is not going to be the end of pubs what's a big problem for pubs at the moment is the cost of beer the cost of spirits it's it's very difficult to attract people into pubs when they have to pay huge amounts of money just for a pint of beer but it's all because we're going to be smoke free by 2030 really do you reckon we'll be drugs free as well by 2030 it's all nonsense what they now what he's why is he bringing in drugs free as well see this I I what what they're trying to do here is deal with health issues before they become out of control if you are able to convince more people to stop smoking if you're able to protect people from passive smoke then they're less likely to end up in hospital it's much cheaper to stop people from smoking than to treat people for the effects of smoking the the NHS is already under a massive amount of strain if you're able to convince doctors or help doctors convince their patients to have a healthier lifestyle to stop smoking to eat healthier there'll be a less there be less of a stress on the NHS it's better for the people of course but also for the NHS you're going to have fewer people coming in with chronic conditions or or with serious health issues so if you're able to stop smoking in public areas people can still smoke in their homes they can still smoke in their cars you know but you're protecting people who are not smoking from passive smoke and this of course alleviates some of the pressure later on on the NHS doing is they're taking through Banning where weak can smoke through putting taxes up on cigarettes they're turning illegal activity and putting it into the hands of criminal gangs you don't believe so what he's going to do now is give an example of Australia believe me look at Australia where cigarettes are 35 quid a packet the big drug dealers don't bother with cocaine anymore they just said legal cigarettes it's led to gang Warfare and 97 firebombings in Melbourne in the last 2 years so the alternative is to do nothing see this is a public health campaign it might be better just to ban cigarettes all together but what I believe what Australia is doing is Banning cigarettes from a certain age on so anyone over the age of 18 can no longer buy cigarettes now he's right this will drive a certain trade underground people who want to smoke will go out and find cigarettes one way or another if they can't buy them in the supermarket or buy them in a tobacconist or they can't buy them wherever they'll go and find somebody on the street who'll sell them cigarettes that's how things work if you make something illegal that's what the consequences would be but we've tried regulating cigarettes we've tried putting taxes on them and it doesn't bring down the number of smokers or it doesn't successfully bring down the number of smokers but this is not about that this is about passive smoking this is about stopping people who are not smoking from suffering the consequences of others who are now you won't hear that anywhere else will you so once again he tries to present himself as the voice of reason I'm the one who's I'm the canary in the in the coal mine in a sense I'm warning you of what's coming down the road he doesn't care about public health he doesn't care about uh the health of others this is about him being allowed to smoke a cigar in the pop or near the pub or wherever the hell he wants let me know in the comment section guys what you think as always your comments are greatly appreciated thanks a lot
