complain man you know just a little weather coming in you know I mean from that uh hurricane but it's over with here for the most part I mean we still got a little wind and rain but you know nothing nothing too heavy you know it's going to be a good college football say I can tell you that oh yeah oh yeah absolutely bro absolutely man well hey bro hey man so uh let's jump right into the thing man you know we had it was a it was a hefty day yesterday man as far as last night football game between the Dolphins and the bills um a lot of things I wasn't expecting U I wasn't expecting the Dolphins to get beat down like that you know what I mean I really thought be honest I thought miam gonna win that game close game I thought it was gonna be a close game because they was in warm weather you know what I mean all that type of stuff so bro um man I'm hand it to you man what what what you got from that game we'll talk about the tour right after this but what you got from that game man well yeah I mean the same here I definitely thought they would have won the game um I knew it would I thought it would have been a closer game definitely um but the bills are the Bills you know I definitely spoke highly of them and Josh Allen you know D you know cook Had A J cook I mean he had a great a great game last night scoring three touchdowns so you know big big shots out to him at this point time I mean two of them I say one thing you know he he did he definitely made some Miss throws last night but at the same time um his organization you know they just got like two of those receivers in you know like the last what maybe three weeks a month I don't think they've been there a month um at this time so you know we always talk about timing with a quarterback and a receiver which is which is definitely needed so you know they didn't have that it definitely showed um on you know miscommunication on some routes oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah yeah yeah so I mean it it was definitely a beat down I mean but the bills do look good to me too in the same sort so let me ask you this bro do you think it was more do you think it was more the bills defense than the bills offense on that game that game because I think it was more defensive um yeah the be defense did good they did a great they was fast they was aggressive um they was doing a lot of disguises which I think that was jacking up to and usually in my opinion I think you us to see that from more of a rookie quarterback than you see from a veteran quarterback like two to recognize a lot of the disguises but also you know um it's still early in that year you know what I mean where a lot of a lot of quarterbacks ain't really it depend on how much I mean did they how did they go back to last year film because bills they made some changes remember they they had a lot of injuries too on defense so I I I give all that the credit but the bills defense was was like that they made Josh Allen job a lot easier bro they they really did I mean you know they disguised a whole bunch of packages um they they were showing man and playing Zone I mean it was throwing two off and the zone that they were playing you know put them in great position to make those plays you know for them to have what two picks a pick six which was really you know it probably shouldn't have been a pick six but it was at the end of the day I mean he didn't even have enough time to throw the ball away you know that's that's great disguising and and blitzing last night they were they were they really were they really were so I mean yeah definitely definitely be credit to the defense on the be side yeah I mean that that's what we was talking about when uh against you know what I mean with with Brock P how he's back there chilling you know what I mean going through first read second read third read four go back to his first read to and had that time you know see what happens like yeah so that that's that they play great disguise they send that heat to them in different Fashions um I mean offens line could have did better but also I mean you can't block everybody so that's the reason you seeing blitzes but you know what I mean and disguise to the plac because you don't know where they coming from U I think they did a great job at that but two I I mean a lot of those those with some Mis cues I mean one of them was the receiver it hit his hand man and I'm hey I don't care what nobody say man you do we grew up in an era even if it's a bad throw that thing tou your hands gota cat yeah no doubt about it it hit your hand and bounce up in the air what you work on as a defensive player tip drills that's part of wm- UPS tip drills yeah yeah no doubt about it you know when you see a ball in there you know it's like candy to a kid for the defense so I mean yeah definitely the receivers definitely could have helped him out a little more but like you said it's early in the year too but I mean at the same time as an organization you should give your quarterback and your wide receiver more time to develop um those those are late calls you know and late pickups at the this close to the season so yeah it's not all his his fault definitely I didn't see they that same explosive offense even when they was getting they was getting that back field you got to make some type of adjustment you know what I mean like you gotta make something it's a weakness somewhere they just had a they had a great chance they had a great opportunity to hide their weaknesses and remember I always say about that I said about two episodes ago a good coach know how to your weaknesses um and you got to go find it you know what I mean that's why you get paid milons million dollars you got to find what that weakness is and what they using to uh to get to you and you gota you gotta exploit that so it's a balance so that's why you gotta have time you got to make those adjustments you can't go back out there with the same plan man yeah yeah I mean this definitely look like a preseason game preseason one game more more so than um you know the actual season so yeah but like I said shout out to the be though definitely for that they they they had a game plan and they stuck with it and it worked yep yep man so let me ask you something man that go to the next subject with t bro um and before I even ask the question that's coming across the ticker um we already know he's going to be out for I don't know but it's probably gonna be about I mean they play the third game so the next game a took 10 days but with that fashion of what happened to him we can just say he at least G to be out for a game or two I just say that I'm G speculate whatever um do you think it's gonna be a rough start for Mike with two out um well yeah it definitely could be because like I said they already don't have any fluidity that two and the new receivers had so I mean it definitely could be a rough start and the running back was hurt um so I mean you know usually when your quarterback goes you you want to count on your run game so something you know what I mean right right right running back hurt your quarterback hurt so yeah it definitely can be a rough start at this point in time for him um I mean two I mean two is gonna make a decision and more than likely I'm sure he'll definitely continue to keep playing which most football players would do in this situation um it's it's basically rinse and repeat yeah yeah you get hurt and we we've all had injuries um but you know you know the concussions are more on a you know under the scope these days than ever because I mean we talked about concussions on you know on the show numerous of times and the type of concussions that people have had in the past you know right right right you know so yeah I mean concussions you know like like a pro player was saying early you know he he played in the earlier age too um you know so he he said I had more concussions than to but you would never you would have never heard about and that's true you know like I said it's just it's just more so in her scope now at this point in time um but yeah he he'll definitely continue to play um I do worry about the type of concussions he has yeah that's the that's the piece I'm a little nervous about man is the type of concussion with his body freezing up you know what I mean like that that blocking of the body you know what I mean that lack of movement um uncons a look different um unconscious concussions yeah that's yeah um I mean more I hey you know this firsthand bro because me man you've been tied at the hip for a long long long long time bro uh to I mean s what six seven sixth grade when we was in band class you started being a Robocop we we'll tell this story later but uh you know what I went through in high school um when I had backto back years of knee injury bad knee injury like out for a long time and and it I ain't never tell you because I ain't tell you till like later years later you know what I mean um sh it was a time bro I I was thinking about basically hanging it up man because I would you know what I mean like it was like I say this so the people don't know this um like I had two bad knee in on both knees one one need the 10th grade year one need the left grade 11 grade year and Sh I was like man should I even try to come back for this I can't we was like we was our football team was like this going up I said man first of all I don't want to be a Hendry sty team because I know they gonna play me off the strength KN I can play the game you know what I mean that was one piece but then also like I'm nervous like even like people around me especially that last knee injury where my somebody got thrown the DB you know I mean um shoots he was dog on jamming on the line threw the Dude down I'm I'm coming to the flats and dude came on side of my knee that's a freak accident you know what I mean like I'm like that you know what I mean so I'm already kind of on shells so I was like I really contemplated like man should I even stop this game but I did you know what I mean uh because I didn't want let we were so close all of us close you know we P seven people in a dog on fire passing the car we was tight so I don't know that's a that was a normally leg injuries he's dealing with the brain uh so if I was going through that mentally I know he's going through that mentally yeah it's even worse you know what I mean because you don't know what's your next hit you know what I mean and remember we already talked about this when you play the game of football we already know the risk goes into it so when I came back that addition of year I already knew the risk I just hope it didn't happen me you was in a weight room dog on 11 and 12 o'clock at night in a weight room getting strong get trying to get better get better get better in high school we was driving ourselves he don't have a weight room to necessarily fix the brain get I'm saying so I don't know what's gonna happen to him bro like I I feel for him and I'm nervous about it bro like really I'm really really nervous about it for him yeah I mean he's definitely had some of the worst concussions yeah you know that that people do have like like you said with the unconscious and the body locking up locking up um you don't even know how bad it is um say this man it was something I wanted to actually share on the screen man I'm GNA share it in a second um you remember Tedd bridgew obvious you do you obviously know him um you remember you know the real reason why he retired it was because that leg because you remember he bounced back after right after that leg inj do you know like have you heard his story where he said U why he retired well I knew it was injury but because you remember he almost got his leg amputated right right I knew it was an injury so and you know I just I just summed it up to that all right I'm GNA play this I'm gonna play this I'mma play this man look look at this it was hot it was Lamarcus join you know he from down so when people like man we got holl like no he straight man I slid too late you feel me early you know that why I don't slide no more I don't slide CU every time you slide you get knocked out you know what I'm saying so um I had to stop sliding and I had my last concussion though um I had one when I was in Denver that's ioke up that's when I'm like well I'm done ball I don't want my son last images of me to be getting CED off the field stretch I like boy this football serious boy [Music] it yeah yeah real that that's real and right now two is in that same situation he's in he gota make a decision he do he do he definitely do at this point in time decision no he's already received I mean lifechanging and generational changing money for his family at this point in time he's he's already up almost 100 Mill at this point you know that's gonna be guaranteed to I think one of those like something yeah yeah so he he he has money so he could definitely leave at this point in time if he wanted to um you know sometimes it's it's just it's the athlete in you you know that that worrior mentality in you you keep going you know then you don't you you want to feeli like you left you let your your brothers down on the field you know you want to keep playing you know it's all there all kind of factors that play into that actual decision yeah um but I say he's definitely had like we said some of the toughest concussions with you know with the neck SL back hitting the ground I mean I definitely wish I said it before I wish he would learn to the land better yeah hit the ground better because you you know that's that's one thing you always taught too you know protect yourself going down you know don't just be letting your head just swing and go anyway you know I'm saying definitely snapping back and hitting the ground you never want that to happen yeah I me he can't necessarily stop it all time but um you know you just have to try a little better but uh he definitely has some decisions to make him and his family at this point in time I say this Mark so you know I dealt with it also man not even just myself man my son man he had multiple C I told you about that he had multiple concs um he ain't came out and said he might see this video one day I don't know uh he ain't never came out and said it because I know he wanted to play college ball um and it just didn't work out because the transport portals and a lot of schools not looking for high school he just kind of fell in that that Co Year and that situation but I can tell you this he never really pressed it either I don't know if he and he maybe years from now he'll come tell me later on um hey that that I was thinking about that you know what I mean um because he had injuries and I'mma tell you what's crazy man and I I never pressed it when when it last game they was in the fourth round playoffs they needed to win that game to go to the semifinals that last game I want to say it was a fourth quarterback they had to make a stop whatever whatever um he playing in dude came around the running back came around his Ed he made a tackle made the tackle but he made it high and when he made a high the dude you know I mean he like this rapping but brought him down he mouns off the ground he got he got a last game bro four round his Senor I said I I looked at I was like d he still down you know what I mean I was like damn I said he made no injuries nothing the whole year nothing no came up there I said that's a sign I never told him that it's a sign that was a sign last game last game four quarter they was down they was uh they was down by it it would take I think it was down by 10 points so they were going to take a little drive but they needed the defensive stop um he made that was on a third down so they got they play but he didn't go back out in the game because he already had the trainers already knew he had a history of multiple concussions um so they training on play so soon as that happened he was like little days said yep we done took his helmet and everything he was done but that was the last game and they got put out the playoff not because of him but they got put out the playoff so it was already a sign that even if they he W GNA play no more it was done like that was going to happen no more so sometimes man you know as a as a player you know even though you do want to continue to play and play the game yeah um sometimes it's it's like I said it's multiple factors you do want to continue to play but sometimes you know when you when you feel that first rest y you know after so long that you really haven't had haven't gotten because you've been playing ball so many years back to back to back kind of like man it's like your body like man this this feels amazing yep you know not putting your body through that so he probably definitely did feel that you know I know your son he like you said y'all played Crazy y'all had crazy schedules jamere and and full seasons and tackles in springtime so doing all that and going to full seasons in the fall so I mean he definitely lifted weights he did everything and trained hard so he definitely probably that's why the reason he didn't press it you know because he felt that comfort of of rest and relaxation so yep yep yep so I mean I I feel for to man I know his mental state more is the mental health um I'm not gonna tell him not to go back out there but I'm not gonna tell him you go back out there right you gota nobody can tell you what RIS to take and he gonna have to take he gonna have to make that decision which risk he going to take and not take um because everybody know that play the game at whatever level I say at especially at high school especially college and even at the NFLs even words you already know you going out there you're putting your body on the line um and that's what kind of buz me about fans that never ever been into those car wrecks before that's what we call you know what I mean when you make a tackle you mean a dude in the hole as a defensive player you mean a m bit running back or whatever or why you that's a TR that's a car wreck every time that you play the game so and like like Mark think about this what we used to back in the day before all this C protocol happened what we used to call it like it we used to call it ringing in you know what I mean getting your bail wrong you know what I mean like that we thought that was a good thing like we ain't hitting hardless we get that bail wrong so there no tell how many people actually have real concussions like that was you know what I mean no you don't know that right until you do those like CT scans that they done you know past former players and athletes you definitely really don't know because like I say it was it was it's a part of the game and it's been a part of the game for so long and like like I said you know we we used to say that even in college you know if you if you don't feel that certain type of little woo you know you you ain't did nothing it you you know so everybody kind of looked for that as crazy as it is you kind of looked have that little feeling you know like the first day of practice and P the first day of real hitting you know so you know all right we here I'm I'm here now at this point in time but yeah concussion I mean it's definitely a real thing at this point in time so yeah t definitely had some decisions to make you know the the the crazy thing about it you know um was T got hit by Demar Hamin you know so you know it that was like that was like everything wrapped up in a nutshell as far as like how the physicality of the game goes and the mental state of it at that time Demar hamler who literally died on the field yeah you know made the the play in the hit on two who's had multiple concussions so I mean like like you said we know what we signed up for with this game you know um it's it's it's a tough game that we play like dick bucket say it's not a not a contact sport it's a collision sport yeah so I mean we know what we signed up for and it's hard to sometimes shake that that mentality that Warrior mentality to to walk away from the game as tough as it is you know you don't want to walk away from that's why that's why you see players and people cry you know when they retire because you you you you giv so much to it you know even though you've been beat up you had broken bones and you know concussion you you it's just it's like you're leaving it behind what you put so much into but he like I said he definitely has a decision to make between him and his family right now at this point in time yeah I mean I mean bro like you you said that perfectly man because any like you don't me and you play the game and you play at the at at all years of college you don't know how many concuss you actually really really had as a f consider as a concussion you know what I mean like you don't any play that played this game for I say I mean you can say Middle School down but you can at least say high school and up you probably at least got multiple concuss you just don't even know it now to the CT how how bad it got that's how they you know what I mean they really want they wer diagnosing that back then that was even talked about to this lawsuit happened with the NFL but you don't people don't really know how how bad it is and then you really think about it most NFL players have undocumented concussion they ain't gonna say nothing about it right of course plenty but and that goes back to the mentality of playing the game that you had because if I if I'm feeling a little woozy and I come off uh I'm not telling no doctors I I want to play I want to go exactly ex I want sit on the sideline not at all so I the old say they used to tell us uh and you know we grew up in that gorilla F that era man where you had to say are you injured or are you hurt get what I'm saying remember that whole saying are inj or you hurt right I was telling I was telling everybody last week I believe it was the I forget which game it was but one of the guys got hurt and he was on the field he hurt like his shoulder he was he was sitting on the field yeah doing his shoulder like this and I was like you see that man I coach would have cured you our Hall of Fame coach play for Alabama he would have C you are like what's wrong with your legs why you why you sitting on the field it's something wrong with your shoulder get your ass up that one thing we had you don't lay on that feeli unless you had to yeah you unless you were hurt yeah so it's a different mentality like we say um but yeah yeah man they they just need to they def you definitely have to protect yourself these days man with the game and like I say I I see more injuries these days than I did you know back then in the past as crazy as it is more but I don't you can't really that didn't need no Spotlight I didn't see I don't remember seeing that type of thing of concussion back in our ER my point exactly and and you know what what I liking it all too you know and this is just my analogy you know and my synopsis from just looking at the game and observing it from you know from this seat at this point um you know how we used to say you to play don't play scared you know what I'm saying don't play you know play Fast full speed you know I'm saying but but definitely use your mind when you're playing because what they say when you when you start to slow down or play you know tip for T ticket you know what I'm saying you get hurt and that's what the game has become because you have to slow down you have to think you have to react you know I can't hit a player too high I can't hit a player too low you know you they put more thinking into what you're actually doing in the game so I mean and you know any anything anytime you take a misstep a bad step that can cause an injury um so and that's what I believe is happening at this point in time that's why we're seeing so many injuries and different type of injuries because like I mean me you said it I didn't see these type of injuries we see more extrem injuries than anything else like High School uh one of our players you know what I mean remember he broke his he broke his foot when his foot was pointing down like we we was all like what like never seen nothing like that before right right but but exactly so I can't I can't recall a concussion see the concussion back then definitely not to a concussion to where somebody had to be helped off the field yeah I ain't I don't remember saying that either bro that that to be honest with you I don't remember seeing that we B ring might say hey Co give me a couple players man you know I'm a little you know what I mean then we we going back at it I don't remember ever seeing that type of cussing on the field um I don't remember ever seeing that that that's what makes me think it's a little bit more something else is triggering that as you know what I mean not just the concussion piece but I mean you can't you can't hit the quarterbacks like that anymore you know what I'm saying so the the longer the game has gone on you know the more protective of quarterbacks that has being so they truly might not know how to fall at this point in time I mean he was he was lunging forward so he was lunging forward and it's really like hling like his lower body he didn't wrap up like this you know what I mean it like he kind of wrapped him up and and held him like he was like this so I think more of his blood which is the stronger part of your body is the legs it was like it was more like a lot of that blow came from his thighs and legs which is really your strongest part of your body yeah his his head twisted a little bit when he hit him and it's crazy because it was in the chest the same way dear Hamlin caught his injury and went down was that chest area so because he if he would have do like you know like the n say you need to get the targets on from the from the from the stomach you know what I mean the chest down whatever they want you to kind of stay away from the head if he have done like they teach you kind of to make tackles obviously that was more reactive he went low it would have been a head onhe head Collision yeah it sure yeah so and and like I said it's it's too much thinking it's too much they're making it and and I'm not saying that as far as like you should and think about what you're doing because you think every time you you're out there playing the game you know it's ch you know depending on what what position they line up in you know you have a play for if they go in motion you have a play for depending on how the lineman are lined up you have a play for you know you might slide protect depending on so you're you're thinking out there but it's it's a different type of thinking in the game as far as like thinking not to have a penalty or get in trouble you know it's a different form of it is what we're saying um so that that's what's different about the game you know the longer that it's going on and the more rules that they that they brought into the game you know over over the years yeah yeah yeah but man we we we we talked about this man um like I said I I I pray for two man hope he he recover from it um and and we just see how the decision go if he going back out there or not mean like like I said we we both said it we both played the game you you go on that football field you already know you already taking risk that's no matter if you had never had a concussion ever or you had te concussions you already know you going on the field you're accepting a risk because it's a every time you make a tackle that's a car crash espe at NFL level they're moving faster than anybody and they're stronger than all you know what I mean like it's it's it's it's crazy like you know I mean talking you know what I mean talking to um um you know I mean our childhood friend that you know what I mean that his his brother's in the league I said man what how was his rookie you ha he said boy them office line strong as hell he's strong he's 350 you know what I mean he about 33 now 32 now and you think he said man they strong as crap yeah it's a different type of game and he played in the SEC so you know yeah yeah it's you're playing bigger faster stronger people so the body the body has to adapt to that also but man hey that that switch gears bro um that switch gears to college football man uh some I been you asked me last episode like man why why I'm so hung up on noted Dame coach man Marcus Freeman uh being on the hot seat thing uh so it reports came out that the boosters have reached out to uran Meyer now the booster ain't part of the ad team but they tell them what to do because they got money you know what I mean you need money you need money and probably the booster that's paying nil money too so so talk talk to me man what you think about this man they're reaching out to Urban Meyer well boosters and fans are going to going to be boosters and fans you know it's what they normally do you know any there's a bad loss um in the program that's definitely the first thing fans and boosters will do I mean just like you had your your fire hu freeze shirt on last week now you got all arv stuff bounce back pretty quick okay yeah yeah but you know that's what fans do man so that's kind of normal man at this time but you know um he had he wanted to U Urban M always wanted to be the head coach of not name yeah yeah he always he said that that's the back story behind it it's been years and years he said man not being a coaching a no d That's a dream job somebody that wrote that down and put it on their little sticky board and said if we ever need one they Pro be honest with you they probably was considering that when Brian Kelly up and left but you remember that's around the same time that Jacksonville jag War stuff was going on with Urban yeah sometimes you just got to list upu settle itself down you know yeah yeah I mean and you know Urban M took the Florida job when they they offered him to know the D job at that point in time but he didn't take it I don't know if he burned Bridges at that point in time because I don't think it ended well actually um but I mean at this point in time it's the story has settled down from Jacksonville so you know they'll definitely move on at this point in time I mean I didn't I did well wait a minute that was um that was the Michigan coach you said had he hadn't signed the contract right oh yeah yeah yeah yeah okay okay just make yeah yeah um if this coming to flu wish you I'm gonna be nervous because with Urban me he I mean you gota I mean he is a he is a Bonafide winner in college football yeah he he is he is but I think Notre Dame just seems like Notre Dame in pen State like I said it was saying last we they just seem like those programs they'll never reach that Pinnacle yeah yeah again to me because I just don't think they're those type of schools anymore that they were in the 70s and the 80s you know what I'm saying and yeah and maybe 90s a little bit but U yeah yeah I just just think they historic programs yeah but as far as being you know great athletic programs again yeah where they winning championships yeah I just I really don't see that happening over teams in the South too much anymore I mean but you know like I said coach U Coach Harbaugh was was a was a one in the million type of Coach um that's that's one coach you always want to play for yeah just about how he's always coached the game yeah you know so he he's he's definitely that type of coach that could do that and bring a championship out as he did so yeah I don't know I mean they they might reach out to uran Meer it's possible yeah yeah I wouldn't put it past yeah I mean I would be nervous like I said think about what he done he did at Florida think about what he done at Ohio State now obvious I ain't talking about the controversy and stuff all that stuff but the the man got a certified win a record you know what I mean and championships um at the Collegiate level so that will bring a massive I I be I'll be nervous bro I I'll be nervous that that now you can put you can after I say give it if he was I just say this if he would take the job at the end of the year he take the job at the end of the year um and he get give him two years three years that's boy gonna be a problem they'll be good I mean that's hand down I mean I wouldn't put that past definitely a good coach I just don't know if he would be able to be that type of a recruiting machine at D you know you can Rec Florida heavy you can recruit at Ohio State heavy and hard you know I just D but when you got boosters that's paying nil money I mean think about that know mean that's that's that's legal that's legal so when when that's legal and you guys can pay money like hey I need you normal schools are paying 20 got a $20 million budget I need to buy a 35 million bug okay you gotta make sure you win okay no no that's real that's definitely real because it's pay it's pay to play now this yeah yeah you right I mean you can't pay a kid from Florida to go to knowre D he and he is going yeah so happen it happens bro it happens man uh so I I yeah man I like I said we see I'm gonna follow this story pretty closely to see what happens um doing this doing this stint um and if it if it I say this the best thing which is the the blat obvious he better win but me you called out some games that boy they they end up losing about three four games this year uh and that that right there he gonna be out the do yeah they definitely could lose three more you know he gonna be out the do that that that is a known fact um it's possible yeah man Alabama way before hey mobile has always been on the map and and if people don't know about Mobile Alabama I don't know how because one thing if you if you're a big fan of college football and you have watched at some point in your life uh the Senior Bowl me and Mark grew up going to the Senior Bowl the Senior Bowl every year is in Mobile Alabama um the home of M the MRA wasn't in new a Orin new orle originated Mobile Alabama um but University South Alabama we used to train and go work out at Universe South Alabama this before they even had a football team uh but boy they they they set a football college football record for the most points scored in the game it got so bad to the point where which I didn't even know this you I didn't even know you can even do this the two coaches agree to make the four quarter on the six minutes yeah yeah yeah it's happened one time before I think that I that I can recall but yeah I mean you canting beat that bad it's time to shut it down you know everybody might as well go home yeah yeah I I mean good gracious man like I I mean it got to the point where South Alabama was even trying to score they were still scoring um it probably got out of hand to 100 points man you they to play the fourth fourth quarter man so I mean South Alabama I mean if you ain't heard about it you need to go check it out they got a good program Mark you've been to college football we know it's G it's some people on hot seats it can be some Poss more people on hot seat we don't know but at this moment we know a couple of schools is on a hot seat um what schools you think you think he'll go to or do you think he need to prove he need least have a winning season or multiple winning season at Colorado to get that next shot no because I mean who necessarily can
