this pack 12 thing but I I'm sitting here watching sports center in in the background getting ready for the show and this Tu of stuff from last night bro that is it is it is tough to watch and if you missed a concussion from last night uh and I hope you didn't see the hit obviously I can't show you the video uh but you start looking at these still shots this is I is innocuous the right word uh Garden variety not violent uh Demar Hamlin who had his own onfield issue as we're all aware um made the hit came up on on a fourth and four play um and on what looked like a pretty regular football play Tua winds up on the ground in this seized position and un fortunately it's not the first time we've seen this this is his third concussion diagnosed in the NFL um this is his I think fifth concussion since 2019 and you just knew right away when you saw it all of his teammates came over uh Tyreek Hill one of the first guys to get there you know clapped his hands together like damn another one D like isn't that what we all said damn another one here we go with Tua Tunga vioa a guy that runs one of the highest powered offenses in the NFL throws the ball all over the place damn it's another one it is another concussion another ugly moment on the field because I think that matters and again this shot right here of dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel kissing Tua as he walked off the field McDaniel after the game said that he really cares about the human being and I believe him I I I I think Mike McDaniel's cut from a different C uh cloth brother like I he is not your normal dude this shot right here is what's so painful about Tua Tong of vioa Because by all accounts to is a really good dude I've interviewed him once when I worked at ESPN I I have never been around him but the people I know that have been around him by all accounts he is just a really good human being who has dealt with just 700 layers of injuries and Bs over his NFL career and we all have seen it right like here he is in in 2022 in Cincinnati on that Infamous hit same night entire team on the field as he gets carded off like th this is we've seen this movie before and I I guess the thing that comes to my mind and the question that I ask when we see stuff like this what role do we play in it what role do the dolphins play in it what role does the NFL play in it is this 100% on Tua because I'm not buying that I'm not buying that I think that we as a we as a fan base we we support this right like we're the ones buying the twoa jerseys we're the ones buying the you know think horrific injury the uh Alex Smith injury or Joe Joe thyman back in the day right we're the ones that support this game and my question is who's looking out for Tua because you can't tell me the Miami Dolphins have a vested interest in two AAG of ioa not being on the field and I you can't tell me that at some point at some point if you're the Miami Dolphins are you not saying to yourself well yeah at what point do we start worrying about this guy's brain at what point do we start worrying about this guy into his 30s 40s 50s well he probably won't make it to his 60s if we keep letting him get concussions when does that happen because culturally speaking this this guy is is the prototypical tough guy Polynesian Warrior I'm providing for my family I'm gonna go down fighting what is the difference between Tua and Junior SE the late great Junior SE and unfortunately unfortunately that's where my mind goes and maybe I'm just the a-hole in the room I don't know and in the comments section please feel free to tell me but I feel like when I think back to my childhood as a fan of the Chicago be and I think about the late great Dave duerson who committed suicide I think about the pain and the suffering that Walter pton endured to end his career I look at Steve McMichael going into the Hall of Fame with ALS just an absolute mound of skin and bones at some point we have to bear some some responsibility here and if there is not a loud cry if there is not calls for Tua to retire we're doing life wrong we're doing life wrong and I know I know that that seems extreme and it's his decision and we're in we're in am and everybody makes their we're not free in America this cat needs to retire and I if the NFL puts him back out there and if the Miami Dolph put him back out there they are complicit we know what ALS is we know what concussions do to your brain we know what early on set dementia is don't we like isn't that where we are at this point are we really gonna sit here and try and spin this web that somehow this is just to of playing a he's playing a a boy game and living a dream of brain damage and early on set dementia and no chance to see it 60s that does not feel right to me that it just doesn't and we know what CTE is we know what it does when are we going to step up when are we going to say enough is enough with this kind of stuff you want to break your leg and Dak Prescott yourself and get back on the field okay I'm good with that we can do knee and hip replacements we could we don't do brain Replacements unfortunately or fortunately depending on who we're talking about right but I I just I think it's very interesting that here we are with this Tua situation and I just think you know where this ends we've seen this movie before friends right we we know we know where this ends we we do um I want your comments on this is it too strong to say that NFL fans that we as NFL fans or we as football fans um are at least on some level part responsible for this CU I don't think it is we keep buying his jersey we keep we forget about it until we can't forget about it anymore because that's what we've done with Tua we have uh Ryan Smith's receding hairline Hi how are you Ryan Smith's receding hairline first one in today let's talk NHL how have how have we not uh hello midweek coug Mike Smith Friday the 13th hit the like button yes please hit the like button we will talk about Friday the 13th real Pete Forte we're talking about you in a minute uh Mr Preston hey Marty what's going on Preston good to see you good to see you um Monty Ryden solo today that's right well Mrs Monty will be here in a while uh when she determines herself and she's done primping and you know in in stuff and like uh Friday morning big blue horses hyenas the new pack is a solid G5 we'll get to the Pack 12 here in about 15 minutes uh again Friday the 13th hello you know roundabout feel bad for the for the dude but he should consider retiring for his own health don't we have to make him consider retiring When does the when do the calls get too loud at what point does somebody say in the Dolphins you know because again you you have a coach who has espoused his love of Tua Mike McDaniel right there what that's last night is Tua walked off the field with another concussion and and I remind you that his teammates when they saw this were like damn another one another one right that's what this turned into and now you have the head coach kissing to a tongue of ioa on the forehead being like Hey Love you dude and then saying in the press conference yeah I was really worried about him well I hope you were really worried about him because again not to be cliche we've seen this movie before we know where this ends and I hope this isn't you know the worst of the worst I hope this isn't you know a suicide and murder in Kansas City I I'm not even going to say his name again I you know I hope this is not not Steve McMichael Dave duerson Junior seal I hope that's not what this is but how could we think it would be something else we know what happens when you repeatedly damage your brain we know what happens right like it it I don't know I don't know John Dry uh it's the strength and conditioning coach's fault same as all injuries just kidding every time someone gets hurt that's who we who get I don't think anybody's talking about the strength and conditioning coach in Miami I think we're talking about the neurosurgeons the brain guys that I think we're talking about the team Physicians I think we're talking about the owner the general manager the head coach Tua Tong of aloa like that's who we're talking about uh Thursday night games probably should not be played well and I saw this on the old tweet machine last night how much do you think that a short week contributed to this I don't know I it's it's a very interesting it's a very interesting thing Alpha Buckeye good morning to you each additional concussion you should have to sit out in five six games do we see Tua back on the field this year sadly I think we will they don't have a backup what Skyler Thompson they don't have another guy they don't and it is it is that the we're we're bootstrappers in this business aren't we like hey uh concussion I feel fine where are my bootstraps we're going to pull those up right we're going to be tough guy and in t us culture and I I I don't think this should be overlooked in tuong ofo culture the Polynesian culture does not what's the right way to say it does not Embrace weakness I know a ton of poly football players they do not Embrace weakness they do not talk about pain they talk about paychecks and playing games and they talk about generational wealth and I would remind you he also just signed a brand new contract and why did they wait so long to sign him to an extension because of this eventuality and now and yeah you know what Alpha I think you should be out for the year I don't disagree with that yeah kford Junior SEO I love that dude I spent a ton of time talking to Junior SEO in my career that was one of the toughest days I've ever dealt with because you you just you it's silence another another ply King in in junior s suffered in silence and anymore there's just no reason to do it there's no reason to do it cuz where do you think Tu a Tong of aloa is mentally today probably ain't feeling great probably rocking a headache probably has dizziness likely and let's let's be very clear about this going forward based on what we know about brain injuries and concussions he will likely battle depression he will likely Val uh battle chronic fatigue so his quality of life every single day is going in the wrong direction those are that's what the science says right uh Edward Perez hello he says agreed NE e uh career great doctor once said a football player can repair every bone and muscle in his beside the brain yeah there's no brain transplant or at least not yet at least not yet you know like it's just yeah midweek C somebody's got to get T Tua and and I know we talk about no men in we got to mention DeShaun Watson here later in the show but when we talk about no guys who's going to tell two it's time who's that going to be because if you look at the relationship he reportedly has with his father it's not a good one right there there were allegations of abuse and his father being very hard on him is his dad going to tell him to retire who's the no guy into his life I think that's a very interesting question it's a very interesting question that I don't know the answer to uh Mark hailes I got hit so hard playing football as a seventh grader I still see stars from time to time I never let Jake play football my I never let my kid play football because of and they tried so many times at his high school I'm that right there this comment right here is what scares me that's what scares me that's why I never let my kid play football uh we can comment on whether a team is right or wrong on a specific team playing someone who is injured but the NFL doesn't care about the fans's opinion and never has and likely never will likely never will and I think it is a I think it is a an absolute travesty because we're talking about a billion dooll industry and if we're gonna be brutally honest today is Tu a Tong of ioa Irreplaceable no he's not is anybody in this game Irreplaceable who's the best player in the NFL today whoever you want to point to Patrick Mahomes probably the most Irreplaceable guy in the NFL but is twoa irreplaceable he's probably not it's a guy that's heard a lot anyway do what's right by the guy pay him his guarantee and make him walk away from football that you agreed to to sign this guy on the dotted line pay him his guaranteed bread he's set for life he's got erational wealth let him walk away from the game with his intact of a brain and a mind that he can have let him walk away from the game intact if you can and I don't know that you can at this point that and that's the part and I mean to rail about this because I I want to get to this pack 12 thing I don't mean to rail about this but the part that really pisses me off is we don't ever think about these guys after the final whistle on Thursday Night Football they just hang them up in their lockers right these guys are robots they're not it it it it's Tyreek Hill in his his McLaren getting a ticket and these guys have lives and they make decisions and they have to they make decisions on the field that impact their lives off the field and I think it matters and and I'm not I'm not telling you I don't love football and I thought about this a lot as I was ramping up to do the show this morning like how am I going to handle this because I love football I love love love football and I don't want to watch it I don't like watching Tu a play and it's probably revisionist history I was thinking about it last night before he got hurt and I'll make a confession to you he took a hit in the second quarter and I turned the game off I turned the game I didn't see the hit live when it happened because I turned it off in the second quarter on a hit he took and I was like dude I can't do it I thought he I I turned it off because when he took that hit in the second quarter I was like I don't want to see this guy go down again and Mrs Monty and I are talking about topics for the show we're sitting on the couch together last night talking about space walks and you know how I found out about this Jake tweeted about it and I flipped back on the game and what am I looking at I I flip back on the game when he was walking off the field and I'm just I'm over it I'm over it man and and I I have guilt over it that's probably ridiculous it is ridiculous even hearing the words come out of my mouth but I I feel like we as fans on some level we are partially responsible for it James Wood for $2 how long until uh Guardian caps become mandatory and why don't guys wear them why don't guys wear them I think this is an excellent point why won't we and maybe it's the Macho tough guy thing I'm I'm open to that it's the NFL I totally get it why why isn't Tua who has all these concussions it's his fifth concussion dating back to 2019 why isn't he wearing a guardian cap would that have saved him last night probably not I was watching one of the brain doctors on Twitter or or on Instagram last night describ the injury it's probably the snapping of his neck because this hit and I think this is important this hit is again it's Garden variety right like this is as muted a hit as you're GNA see in the NFL one-on-one open field dear Hamlin doesn't hit him he tackles him but what happens is to his head hits his thigh and his neck he gets that torque in his neck that causes the concussion so does the does that cap help I don't know probably not but what I know is if that cap is in the NFL there's one guy who should be wearing it and it's two a Tung of vioa if he don't wear it why is anybody else wearing because linemen are wearing it you might not see it but I believe Detroit Indianapolis and Pittsburgh all have linemen wearing the that hat it's the you know the Hat with the cushions in it it's it's designed to offset the shock waves before it gets to the hard cap the helmet that then gets to your brain it's designed to distribute that shock wave why isn't he wearing it because we're too Macho that's why couple more then we got to get to the Pack 12 James excellent point thank you for the $2 tip make sure you hit the like button right here on the Monty show it really helps the channel grow uh consider becoming a member we read all of our member comments um we will occasionally sprinkle in uh some non-member comments but to get your comments highlighted and read it's only $1.9 99 a month and that all goes right back into the infrastructure of the show uh we don't put that money in our pocket it pays for things like studio lights and cameras and switchers and you know pimp juice so that you know consider becoming a member because who doesn't need more Pimp Juice uh Jeremiah uh are so you changed your name I was I was like Sullivan I I far more enjoyed saying Champion uh there's going to be uh there are going to be still make him they are going to still make him play they don't care about health just money do you guys think that's accurate Mike McDaniel I think cares about the human being I mean again I don't mean to keep going back to this this picture does that look like a guy who just cares about money I think Tua cares about the money I I think very much Tua uh cares about the money and as he should right but you can't tell me that we're just going to sit here and a forget that I what what didn't he sign a $212 million extension and you know I mean the guy is averaging what what is that four years 212 um $53 million a year um 167 let's call it $170 million in guarantees I'm pretty I'm pretty sure take your 170 and go home that's what I'm saying because I I I think does Roger Goodell give a godamn about to his brain probably not probably not somewhere where we're not talking about paychecks and bottom lines and the value of franchises I'm sure he does Roger Goodell is not the demon we all make him out to be it's not his first priority though but Mike McDaniel I think his first priority is to uh being a fully functioning human being I don't want to get too jaded but how many times are we going to see this how many times because it's not the first time these are different games that's last night this is 2022 remarkably similar remarkably similar 2022 yeah we all remember we all remember but look how similar it is to last night I I'm just not I'm not capable of just looking the other way I'm not capable of just looking the other way I'm not I I I'm not capable of and I am not willing to I am not capable of it and I am not I'm not willing to I I I just am not uh roundabout uh the NFL cares about money and perception because perception affects the money and perception is reality and I agree roundabout that the perception is the NFL doesn't give a godamn about to his brain I think that I think that is very true I think I think that is very true and I I don't know how you fix it I I really don't know how you fix it all right prize picks the let's get into Pack 12 expansion and talk about the truth on Pack 12 expansion because obviously yesterday was a bomb show um didn't have a lot of time at 4 in the morning uh to get as much information as we wanted but now um we have had an entire day 24 hours to kind of talk to a lot of sources on this and there's some interesting color in the background about how this whole thing came together and one of the biggest questions I think that people have is why did they do this now what was it that made the Pack 12 expand with basa state with Fresno State with Colorado State and San Diego State now it seems like odd timing in the middle of September uh to just make this huge announcement well now we know according to sources close to the situation in the Pack 12 that Oregon State and Washington State allegedly tried to get membership in the Big 12 they talked to Brett ymark uh at length about the possibility of those two programs folding into the Big 12 and ending the existence of the Pack 12 I am told by sources close to the Big 12 that those conversations did indeed happen but never went anywhere and they never went anywhere very quickly uh I think that we have talked openly about the value at Oregon State and the value that that athletic brand would have to a power five conference but that door seems to be closed and I think what really pushed the Pack 12 in really Oregon State and Washington State to make this move which by multiple sources was called a hostile takeover of the Mountain West which I think is very accurate and I'll get to that in a minute but what forced the pack two to take this hostile action against the Mountain West was the big 12 in Yukon because I think what the Pack 2 learned through the Yukon situation was hey you just told us Big 12 that you weren't interesting in expanding with us and then the news that Yukon was close and was likely going to join the Big 12 I think really slap the pack two in the face and I am told that specifically with Oregon State they were surprised that those conversations were so advanced yet the Big 12 wasn't interested and having the same level of seriousness in conversations with the Pack 2 and that really spurred the Pack 2 Oregon State and Washington state to become much more aggressive and Shrink this timeline for their future because that's really what this was I don't believe based on what I've been told by sources that the Pack 2 all along was looking at the Mountain West as their path to rebuilding the conference I think based on what I've been told by sources it was far more in the plans for the Pack 2 to join a power League that they together or separately would join the ACC the Big 10 the SEC or the Big 12 and go about building their future in that league but that very quickly came to an end when they attempted to do just that and the door was slammed they never got anywhere with the SEC they never got anywhere with the big 10 and it did not seem like and I I I give Scott Barnes a lot of credit for this the athletic director at Oregon State who really is one of the the power players in this whole equation Scott Barnes who I've told you on this show I have an enormous amount of respect for I covered him when he was at Utah State that program's gone down since he left as the athletic director Oregon state has done nothing but rise it became very clear to Scott Barnes that he had to do something to save the future of his university and by extension the future of that conference and I think this was a very pragmatic move and it was the only move and unfortunately what it does is it puts the Pack 12 in a situation of destroying the Mountain West you took their biggest brands their biggest markets their biggest TV guys you took the brands that had the most value to TV distribution and it wasn't by accident you did that with an effort to rebuild now some of the details behind this I am told by multiple sources that it is absolutely a hostile takeover of the Mountain West that the Pack 12 wanted to add UNLV and several other brands in that league but certainly did not have interest in all the brands in that League and they are currently still negotiating with uh Gloria narez and the rest of the the leadership of the Mountain West on how to put an end to this situation because I am told with a lot of certainty that the Pack 12 is going to add more members and I think it it specifically people are pointing at UNLV but that the Pack 12 will add more membership from the Mountain West it is almost a certainty how that happens and on what timeline that happens well I think that's a very interesting question but make no mistake about it this is not the end for the Pack 12 this is the beginning because sources close to that situation unequivocally and without waiver told me that they will be at 10 teams not six and not eight that they will be at 10 at a minimum is their goal and they would like to do that within uh a very short timeline and their their plan to do that is to negotiate with the Mountain West uh on what they can and what they they cannot do and how much it's going to cost them because they have kind of a handshake agreement that they're going to pause poaching members of the Mountain West while they negotiate what that will look like because there is a very large belief and having talk to college football sources and TV industry sources about this it's over for the Mountain West there is no path to sustainability or a future existence without those four members certainly without Boise State who is the crown jewel of That League yeah that that really was a damaging blow then you throw Fresno State uh Colorado State and San Diego State into that mix and you are in a really difficult spot and if you take UNLV out of that league and and the common belief across most of college football is that UNLV will have no choice but to go to the Pack 12 if in fact they have not burned that bridge because there is a lot of wondering and head tilting about why unlb was not in the the first four of that group but I am told it's because the Pack 12 agreed to hold off on that it's not anything to do with whether or not the Pack 12 has a desire to add UNLV because certainly they do according to my sources they absolutely want UNLV in the fold they value Las Vegas as a market they value the economy in Las Vegas and the revenue stream that Las Vegas can be on multiple fronts whether that can be your Hub it hosts your tournaments it hosts your CH conference champ chionship game whether it is an e-commerce Center they love the fact that there are uh a number of Big Time conventions where they can go and sell uh I mean it it just has all kinds of possibilities and when you say hey yeah Las Vegas is the home of the Pack 12 it kind of changes the tone of well hey I'm Brett ymark I'm flying in to meet you in Las Vegas kind of it's a different conversation which brings me to my next point about the Pack 12 the Pack 12 is a cutely aware of who they are and where they are the Pack 12 is not pursuing a power designation and we had this conversation yesterday and I think this is a really really important part of this make no mistake about it if you are not a power designated power conference you do not have an automatic qualifier into the college football playoff and yes steuart Mandel pointed out that it does there is no such thing as a power four conference that's absolutely true but do you really believe that and you can pick your conference Champion Boise State let's say Boise State wins that conference and Fresno State is undefeated or has one loss and that one loss is the conference Championship Game Miss Fresno State getting in over Old Miss is Fresno State getting in over Michigan what if Michigan doesn't win the Big 10 Championship well Monty got to put Fresno State in yeah actually we don't we don't they're gonna get four from the Big 10 they're going to get four from the SEC you're G to get one I would think one from the ACC and one from the Big 12 so let me ask you this do the math on that that's 10 two spots left one goes to the the the highest ranked G5 conference Champion do you really think they're going to put the second highest ranked G5 conference champion in do you think they're going to put the next highest ranked G5 football team in they're not going to do that you think they'll put Notre Dame in if a one loss Notre Dame runs the table do they get in before again a fres sow State what if San Diego State pulls one out of their rectums and has a great season you think FR or do you think San Diego State's getting in over a one loss Notre aim team no they're not and we can sit here and we can have these cool conversations about oh it's neat and the G5 and they have a CH they don't have a chance they don't have a chance and we can try to live in this utopic Society where we think oh well manty there's no such thing as a power designation it's the top five ranked you know Conference champions okay well there's seven spots left so you have the the the non-existent power four in the G5 that's five okay all those Conference champions are in do you really think Greg sanki is giving up any spot he doesn't have to look look at the look at the AP Top 25 we've talked about this at length on the show right we've talked about this at length let me ask you something where's the G5 team on this oh oh Northern Illinois who thinks Northern Illinois is getting in let's say Northern Illinois and Notre Dame are a one loss Team Notre Dame gets in or Northern Illinois gets in Notre Dame gets in because of their schedule as crappy as it is it's still better than NIU right you you look at look look at the tops 10 SEC SEC Big 10 SEC SEC SEC SEC Big 10 10 big 10 ACC let me ask you this uh let's say that Miami wins the ACC Championship Florida State's a one lost team we're now a two- lost team pick whoever you want in the ACC do you think they're getting in over Northern Illinois yeah they are yeah they are furthermore do you think USC do you think USC is getting in over Northern Illinois I mean USC's a one lost team on Northern Illinois beat Notre Dame well so did USC furthermore USC lost to Notre Dame they're still getting in over Northern Illinois I I I don't even know why this is an argument the idea the idea that Greg sanki or Tony patiti or Jim Phillips or Brett ymark that they're going to give up any of their money so that we can have Northern Illinois in the in the college football playoff along with boisey State you're out of your mind one G5 team and in the rarest of occasions okay maybe two maybe two that does not mean the pack or any other G5 has an automatic qualifier unless they are absolutely the highest ranked G5 conference champion and I will sit here today and tell you for the next two years I think it is highly unlikely that multiple g5s get in highly unlikely it would have to be a catastrophe on the highest order the fact that you have Oregon sputtering cuz who thinks that Oregon is playing great football because I don't think any of us do they're still going to get the benefit of the doubt over any of your garden variety UTSA your garden variety South Florida that's just the reality of it and we can sit here and we can we can talk about how great it is that the Pack 12 is back oh my God the story line they're not getting an automatic qualifier they're not and if they have 10 teams and one of their teams goes undefeated and wins the conference will they likely be if that's Oregon state will be will they be the highest ranked potentially but how do you get past the strength of schedule component because there is no bitter more Broken Man on Notre Dame football than yours truly me this guy and if Oregon State's a on loss team that one loss had better not be to another G5 you'd better find a way to have Oregon on your schedule every year and you better beat Oregon and if you lose a game it better only beat Oregon or you're not getting in and if if if you go on and you win your conference you better hope that you're the highest ranked and C Cinderella couldn't find slipper because you are it's just beyond me it's beyond me that somehow Fanboy on Twitter and and uh DMS on Tik Tok yesterday is like you're wrong we're getting in like the Pack 12 level of intoxication over this story we're getting in it's an auto bid it's not an auto bid 1 G5 team and the proof will be in the pudding right and again I I just put up the the likely bracket and I I ask you here okay do do the math on this bracket right here how do you get NIU and Boise State in I don't know either I don't know because I also then go back to I also go back to the top 25 look at the 12 best teams go down to number 12 NIU or Utah okay well let's assume let's assume that somehow someway yeah Oak state is is who James and every other Oak State fan in here says they are Oak State wins the the Big 12 championship and and they beat Utah who's ranked in the top 12 Northern Illinois or Utah uh I'm gonna say Utah you're getting the the ACC already has what if what if Florida State or Clemson or Georgia Tech somehow wins the ACC Championship and Miami is ranked in the top 12 Miami or a second or a second G5 team you know the answer bro it's Miami or it's going to be depth in the Big 10 or the SEC because just like the G5 I don't think the Big 12 unless it's an overwhelming case right like I think this is a huge weekend for for Kate they had better beat wholesale ass against Arizona and the fighting faitas right you look at Utah how about this cam Rising story yesterday how about this cam Rising story yesterday coach Prime which is amazing to me um that Dion Sanders got duped and I I immediately I think Jake and I talked about this yesterday on the show there was a fake tweet going around that cam Rising has tetanus and the infections worsened and he's out for the year and Dean Sanders tweets prayers to cam rising and then somehow figured out that it was a troll that was trolling Utah because cam Rising doesn't have staff there's not a massive infection Cam rising's being held out because he's got a gash on his hand he's injured a finger on that cheap shot against Baylor and yet you hyenas on Twitter just ran with it ran with oh poor cam Rising oh Cam rising's 76 years old and he's going to apply for an eighth year of Eligibility and yall just retweeted it and retweeted it and then when it turned out to be a troll oh I knew it I knew it wasn't true I was just having some fun you weren't because we all love the Doom and Gloom of Cam rising in Utah and it's amazing to me it's amazing to me how many people root against cam rising and I I've never understood it I've never understood it in any way shape or form I I've never understood it I want to I don't understand it as much as I want to calford uh get see I don't have the drop machine so calford donates five Monty show membership St let's go love it Ken mayor for $ five doar it would be smart for the Pack 12 to invite Gonzaga for basketball as an AAC fan I would welcome Air Force in Wyoming as a package deal travel Partners I think the only place and it's a little surprising that kaga is not join the Big 12 at this point uh I think we led the news cycle on that um 18 months ago now uh it's a little surprising they have not joined the Big 12 yet and I think some people are scratching their heads about that and I think the Big 12 thought if they could get Yukon that they would get Gonzaga to go with that that didn't come to fruition um but I think when you look at when you look at what Gaga represents I I joining the Pack 12 is not a step up from the WCC the West Coast conference is a really good conference for them and it guarantees them a spot in the NCAA tournament every year so I think think it is a huge jump for Gonzaga basketball to join a power conference and I don't think it helps him to join this reimagine pack 12 I don't but that's just me uh Sal Capone see Al Sal Al Capone Sal Al Capone I like it uh as an Arizona fan I'm grateful getting into the Big 12 who knows where uh we'll be in 5 to seven years make me a member boss I can't make you a member you have to hit the dollar sign uh and join for $1.99 on our entry level uh $999 gets you into our members only Instagram chat group uh DM Jake if you join at the membership level uh on Instagram SLC Jake he'll add you to that group uh but I appreciate everybody uh joining and and hitting the like button uh this morning we are well over a thousand views and we have 66 likes every we should be at 100 uh hopefully uh you guys will uh hit the like button and get on board with that let's keep rolling with your comments uh Noel Ramirez uh at the bounce house if USF had non-campus Stadium would ucfb in the Big 12 today it's a very interesting question a very interesting question they took away the Americans power status even though they had Yukon winning national championships in basketball in Cincinnati making the playoffs and UCF winning all those games I I the power grab is anybody surprised by the power grab in college sports because I I certainly am not I certainly am not surprised by it even a little bit I I I think it's who these guys are it's why we have nil lawsuits but again and I understand like I heard from so many UNLV fans yesterday I heard from so many USF fans I heard from a ton of two lane fans that I didn't know were alive we want in we went in G G5 sucks power conference Super League how many of you are ready to cut checks for $200 million a year to the football program because that's a huge question I mean if you you look at these these teams that are making up the reimagine Pack 12 ask yourself ask yourself can San Diego State show me your lightning bolt for $200 million can you can you tell me that the AAS that San diegans that you can support a $200 million bill every year for football because that's what it's going to take between the nil settlement the profit sharing that's required uh I mean paying players you're looking at 2030 million just in nil and and profit sharing alone can San Diego State foot a bill for 30 million extra dollars a year I don't know that you can which is why you're going to be in a a a non-power conference and if the Super League happens can you really make me the case that Boise State can afford $200 million a year to be in a in in the Super League because I think I could make the argument for UNLV I think I can make the argument I was talking to a boss in in Vegas yesterday and I think that there is a finan path forward if UNLV really wanted to be in a super league and let's say the bill was $150 million I think UNLV could get that bread I think they could get that bread I do uh would it be easy no it would not would it require massive massive influx of private money in in brand new enterprising sales initiatives yeah it would Casino money absolutely it would land developer money absolutely it would out of the box Partnerships absolutely it would there's no question about that and for everybody who continues to espouse about Title 9 and if you do not understand in this generation of Athletics that stick in Ball Sports softball and baseball are incredibly important you know what else is incredibly important and you'll laugh and you'll say I'm being biased Gulf has become a revenue generator for for these power four Conference teams huge look at what I'm doing at Rice Eckles tomorrow I'm playing golf inside of rice eckle Stadium where's all that money going ah the Crimson Collective gets a big part of that follow Mark Carlin the athletic director for Utah on Twitter what's he tweeting about oh yeah let's go play stadium golf at Rice eeko tomorrow support the Crimson club they're going to have the Utah State game on the Jumbotron they're going to have the club open so you can eat and drink oh and he let me show you the let me show you Oak State James stop by built us all these extra Club Suites let me show you the hospitality have you thought about getting on the list for Utah football season tickets sir I mean you hit that beautiful shot in a number four down there I mean how can you not buy tickets that's what's happening at Utah tomorrow guaranteed guaranteed as it should guaranteed uh roundabout one lost Notre Dame gets in over any G5 team that's what I'm saying that's what I'm saying absolutely they get in Notre Dame runs the table that Will trump the second best G5 no question oh but money it's an AQ and there's no such thing as power conferences that designation is not real okay it's real is it on paper no did is there a a contract that says power conference there's not but you are out of your mind if you think any G5 team's getting a nod over Notre Dame or do you really think Old Miss isn't getting in if they're 10th and you just lost the Mountain West championship game in your San Diego State you really think that lane train and his hot ass girlfriend aren't getting in instead of you come on come on Lane Train's getting in sec's getting in big 12's getting in big 10's getting in acc's getting in instead of you why why are we even having this conversation oh that's right because Florida State got got bent last year after you know the quarterback got bent they got bent and then the Santa bent for a million dollars and now we have 12 teams in Florida State's getting in over any G5 that's just the reality of it and I think this R oh over here this R ha is exactly right there's no doubt I think the convers ation would would be is would a I think Nick D I think the conversation would be is would a one loss Notre Dame get in over a one or two loss SEC or Big 10 team but but there's no it's the Cinderella and the underdog there's good Mexican food in San dieago that's exactly what the conversation is Lane train or Jesus Christ at Notre Dame I think think that's the conversation I think that is the conversation Gordon who is a fan of Hawaii and Iowa State okay unlikely match but hey whatever makes you feel good inside uh definite exaggeration with Oregon State being quote saved by this move I don't think they're saved by this move does this bring Oregon State back into a conversation about the college football playoff it does but what is edict from Scott Barnes day one the Pack 12 melted down we are going to continue to fight for our athletes to compete at the highest level I think this is his only path to doing that he again if you're just tuning in as we talk about uh the truth behind Pack 12 expansion uh here on the Monty show which as always hour number two of the show uh is presented by our friends uh at The Advocates the advocates.com did the Big 12 make a mistake and I think that's the right way to put it did the Big 12 make a mistake excluding Oregon State and Washington state from expansion when they were talking to teams like Yukon I'll answer that question in 15 seconds when you've been injured in an accident you need a lawyer and you deserve an advocate insurance companies don't always play fair but we can keep them in check most cases settle out of court but we'll take your case to trial if necessary you deserve an advocate yes you do the advocates.com or you never pay a penny out of pocket all you have to do is chat with an injury attorney live online 247365 and it will not cost you a dime at the advocates.com make sure you tell them you heard about it on the Monty show but if we look at this this conversation and my sources yesterday told me if you're just tuning in that Scott Barnes and the the Pack 12 had conversations allegedly had conversations with the big 12 about joining that conference in in recent times I am told that was taking place in late summer so July and August it was essentially a non-starter for the Big 12 the Big 12 basically said no we're not doing that that's not a conversation we're willing to have with all due respect we I am told that it was handled quite compassionate hey we understand the situation you guys are in with all due respect we're just not there Scott Barnes is like hey appreciate the conversation I imagine all right hey cool Breet good to see you man love that suit and the tie goes really well nice job with The Pastels we'll talk soon click all right great well I tried back to the drawing board because the big 12's not expanding I'm gonna kick my feet I'm gonna flip on Sports Center breaking news from Pete Theo and then Pete Dill's reporting that the Big 12 is talking to Yukon I am told that is what hit the gas pedal for the Pack 12 because they understood that they could no longer just Coast because they had nowhere else to go their only choice and I think it was also described to me that they put a lot of thought into what the end result would be and the Damage that would be done to the Mountain West because it's absolutely crippling what the Pack 12 has done to the Mountain West you don't recover from that it's over it's over and if we're if we're truth telling I am told by sources close to that situation this is the beginning not the end of raing the the the Mountain West and I think it starts and ends with UNLV and if they get UNLV it's over it's over there's nothing else to talk about oh also a point of clarity uh Utah State I confirmed yesterday likely would not be a candidate to join the Pack 12 because of their investigations that are H happening on the campus in Logan so it makes it very difficult for the Pack 12 to say yes come on in Utah State that's a non-starter at least right now where that whole situation is and I don't want to get into the Weeds on it just know that there is a scandal at Utah State um that has to do with reporting and Title Nine and that's a non-starter for the Pack 12 Utah state is not currently uh under consideration for Pack 12 membership I am told um but I think you you have to understand that UNLV is is a really important player in all of this I am also told just to recap briefly that um the Pack 12 and the Mountain West are negotiating as we speak uh about an end resolution and what finality in this hostile takeover as it would describe to me yesterday and what this hostile takeover ultimately ends up doing uh and where where the money sits how much money this is really the Crux of the argument how much money is the Pack 12 going to have to pay uh the Mountain West to take their teams to take their universities because I also think one of the things that we've heard so much about and I think president Murthy at at Oregon State um is a really good example of this as is is Kirk Schultz at Washington state they're not just going to take any any old academic institution and I know you're going to hate this I know you are going to hate this academics will matter which is the sad part about Utah State because that's a really strong academic University but I think it's going to be very interesting to see where all this ends up I think ultimately most of the teams in the Mountain West that are left of of note and if we if you think about what's left there's not a lot left in the cupboard there and I think that when you look at the Mountain West and we talk about you know who is left in the m West how much value does San Jose State have it's the Bay Area it's Northern California that's a tiny brand San Jose State or Boise it's not even close and the Bay Area is a massive Market compared to B basa State it's not even close but you look at Hawaii I think there's a travel issue there that is already something that is a bit of a struggle for Hawaii and and scheduling that's not going to go away I'm very interested in the relationship between UNLV and and UNR uh Nevada Reno the University of Nevada because they are in concert with each other they are heavily connected through the educational system in in Nevada I I asked the question yesterday and I was told that they're not tied at the hip this goes back to Arizona Arizona State um this goes back to North Carolina North Carolina state they're not tied at the hip but certainly what is best for for Nevada is what's best for UNLV and if UNLV is thriving and I think this is much more akin to UCLA and Cal and calony I think you could see a situation like that which could make it untenable uh for UNLV ultimately if they ever had aspirations of getting into a Super League because if you're paying renamon I don't even know what you would call calony works so well does it not uh I don't even know what you would vagamon I don't know um but the money that you would have to pay UNR to supplement them I think would be significant and I think it could be a non-starter but you look at the rest of the teams in this league I don't believe that New Mexico or wo or I mean Air Force is certainly very interesting but I don't think any of those other brands make a a a definitive fit into the the Pack 12 I think the ones that you're looking at are UNLV and and I think potentially Nevada and I think that if if you had to take four more which is what the conversation I think is and I don't want to state that as fact because we've kind of had compulsory conversations about it with our sources but I think the conversation is who are the next four that you are going to take and I think that if they had their draw I think that you would take UNLV and I think the only other brand under consideration uh would be Nevada but I don't think they want Nevada I think they would very much like I I am told very clearly that they really would like to add uh one of the Texas schools and I think that they would like to add to Lane and ultimately I think South Florida is too much of a stretch because they just don't have a way to bridge that travel Gap and it makes things difficult going to Texas or new or New Orleans I mean how much further is New Orleans from San Antonio or El Paso it's not that much further a and they make good partners Tampa is a h a lot further and I know that that the conversations around travel academic fits it's a very interesting time to be New Mexico because I feel like theal are getting frankly overlooked in this entire conversation and I I I I don't know how you fix that I don't know that there's a way to fix that because you're just not a brand of consequence I I you can sell Las Vegas you can sell you LV and if I've got to take Reno as well okay but I think I think the Pack 12 desperate is a word that I would not use they'd very much like to do business in the state of Texas and don't believe that Tarlton or rice are in the conversation as well as rice fits with with those Brands because of their academics I think it's UTSA or UTP that is based on the conversations I've had I I'll be clear and say I haven't been told that directly but based on the conversations I've had I think UTSA is absolutely attractive to the Pack 12 and I think UTEP is much more attractive than New Mexico a and it's it's it's all how you it's all how you view that another man's trash is another man's treasure right one man's trash is another man's treasure whatever it is but I think it's very interesting let's get your comments here on the Monty show as always the comment sections brought to you by Canyon's Golf Park City Mountain Resort Canyon's Village is where you find Canyon Golf can't wait be back up on the hill tomorrow morning um I love it I love the fact that you get up there and you play a 7:30 tea time you get a beautiful sunrise you you're going to see everything from Fox to Deer to Elk it it is just a beautiful place to play golf you're teeing off in the 60 degrees you are playing golf Peak day in the 70s with a little bit of Breeze the mountain views the elevated tea boxes the Lush Fairways and greens it's what I love about Canyons there is nothing better than stepping up to a t- boox at Canyons number six uh number 17 and 18 and you're just hitting a bomb and you're watching that ball fly there's nothing like it and I think at Canyon's golf that's why it's the official Golf Resort of the Monty show um because at Canyon's golf you're paying Municipal pricing and you are getting Resort style Golf and the best part is you pull into Canyon's Village you drive up to Canyon's golf you play 18 holes and you get great service you get a cart with accurate GPS which is hard to find these days it's got a cooler with ice on it so you can store uh all your cold beverages they have a breakfast Shack and a Food Shack where you can get everything from a breakfast burrito to a turkey sandwich coffee uh Gatorade Energy drinks it's all right there for you and then when you're done playing golf head on over to the pendry building in the middle of Canyon's Village and get an elite Mexican uh lunch after you're round to golf it's everything you want Resort style golf Municipal prices it's Canyon Golf and Park City make sure you tell them you heard about it on the Monty show all right let's get your comments in here about Pack 12 expansion um you know I think it's very interesting how much the opinions on what's a good brand and a bad brand is how much they vary it it's wild to me uh calford gifts five mon show memberships let's go stay nice job calford appreciate that uh Christopher Shannon if the ACC crumbles would Cal or Stanford join the Pack 12 it's funny so many people are like oh Cal and Stanford are coming back to the Pack 12 they're not there is no way and I I want to make this clear because I continue to be asked about this on on social media there's no path for K and Stanford to drop out of the ACC and join the Pack 12 furthermore neither one could afford that athletically do you understand the step back because I think in one of the questions I was talking to a guy in TV yesterday one of the questions that I asked is what's that TV deal worth and we were told the CW is wide open to expansion they love the Central and West Coast footprint that the Pack 12 provides them live golf coming to an end means that they need a supplement they're already doing business with the Pack 12 on Washington State and Oregon State financially I can't find somebody in TV that believes that they're worth more than $10 million a year per school I don't think K Stanford are stepping away from an escalating scale in the ACC that could see them both making 40 to $50 million a year for $10 million a year it just doesn't make sense not to mention the grant of rights as Florida state is finding out is almost impossible to get out of in the ACC almost impossible in my mind Jimmy Watson good morning my guy Cal is so rich that they are subsidized by UCLA we're all billionaires dude right because everybody's a billionaire now uh it's very interesting the calony very interesting calford Monty said calony twice gift card for all exactly right exactly right right oh my God Valerie fahe uh on Facebook what about UNR it seems like a no-brainer with UNLV in I do think it's a very interesting equation I think the Pack 12 what's the right way to say this because Nevada Reno University of Nevada for those of you who don't know University of Nevada is based in Reno if you ever drive from Salt Lake City um you know out the 80 to to Tahoe you drive right through Reno beautiful beautiful Town UNR is very interestingly placed in that it is a small school that competes at a high level University nevada-reno right univers in Nevada is a good football program is it Elite not by anybody's stretch decent academics is begrudging the wrong way to say it I think it is but it's the truth I think the Pack 12 would take UNR to get UNLV and I think the educational Administration in the state of of Nevada would very much be happy with that and I I I again Valerie I think unr's a very good partner to be in business with I I think so uh s is a member really Sal's a member let's see let me look at the member activity viewer activity um calford gifted five who got who got the five calford we have a lot uh s Capone Taylor Smith Gavin C Brandon unra and Robert door stay welcome to the membership uh thank you very much uh calford for uh dropping memberships on Bros uh we appreciate that Jeremy SE good morning to you friend what are the odds of a proposed ACC Big 12 merger similar to the infamous Pack 12 Big 12 merger deal that should have occurred should have Coulda Woulda um I don't think those odds are very good at all with the ACC and the big 12 and again we had the exclusive on it first here on the Monte show that the uh Big 12 Brett ymar and his emissaries uh have had extensive conversations with the biggest brands in the in the ACC and I think that if we've learned anything about Brett ymark since he took over this conference he is ready to pounce he is not a guy who plays defense he is an offensive operator I don't think there's any doubt about that and I think when you look at um when you look at what Brett ymar has done um since he took over at at um you know at the Big 12 I think he's put himself in a very nice position and and should we ever get to a point where the ACC melts down I do think he has a shot at Carolina and Duke albe it a slim shot but he's got a shot at him I think he definitely could make a compelling case for Louisville Miami certainly uh I think Miami is a very good fit with the UCF I think there is without question um if there's expansion I think that's where USF comes into play because right y Mark certainly could Corner the market on Florida now are the brands Florida and Florida State bigger certainly they are but think about the real estate if you add USF in Tampa the Miami Hurricanes in in in South FL uh South FL Miami that would give you Fort Lauderdale and that gives you Miami and it gives you Tampa and you've got Orlando I mean that's a lot of real estate in the State of Florida now are you g to be on TV at the level that a Florida or Florida state is no you wouldn't but boy you would certainly cover a lot of ground and that would make recruiting fertile in that conference if you could keep the trust me when I say if you keep the best talent across from Orlando south if you have a shot in every living room from Orlando south you're going to be very talented in this league and I would also remind you the Utah Utes also have a pipeline already built in Florida uh a couple of more uh calford UTSA and Memphis Memphis is oddly placed geographically and I know that people don't like to hear that but it's why it's why the Florida is a reach uh it's why USF is a is a reach the State of Florida is a reach for the Pack 12 if that's a reach tell me Memphis is not a reach that's absolutely I think you're not going any further east than uh tane and New Orleans you you're not I think Texas is great I think New Orleans is a bit of a stretch I I don't think you can go to Florida uh Oregon State and Wu want yearly trips to Texas which means two Texas teams and again I think it's UTEP and UTSA I just does rice really bring value to you from an academic standpoint they do they do uh all right couple more let's keep rolling appreciate all the comments make sure you uh give us a thumbs up um consider joining our membership ACC West commissioner Gumby hello good recruiting in Texas huge recruiting in Texas uh Noel AC C implodes Cal Stanford Syracuse wake Boston rice USF and tane uh form a new move more academic conference gez could you imagine that can you get any football player into any of those univers uh yeah uh good luck getting into wake or or rice do you understand the academic standards at wake and rice come on now yes hit the like button please do calford damn Kevin sorry to hear Kevin what um we have a lot of comments Kevin well Kevin I hope everything's good I don't know the situation but you know um there he is Ferris Khan Pino equals Pack 12 and name only what does that mean like the slight thing that we do where we try to disrespect people truck stop conference bro lot lizards everywhere oh look at the rollers at bies Jake is the only that eats FICO matters off of rollers nobody else actually does that the fly over conference okay well what conference do airplanes not fly over right like I don't understand that I don't understand that Nick D so should we start calling them the G6 because there's no way they will get a power conference designation but if you listen to Twitter power conference designations aren't real so why does it matter it's the top five ranked Conference champions people live with their heads in the sand it's amazing it really is wood I yeah wood I uh Christopher Shannon damn Kevin best wishes to the nephew oh no Kevin I am sorry to hear that Nick D Monty if you are ever in Denver area play Arrowhead Golf Course in the foothills of the Rockies the most beautiful course I've ever played my wife will not go anywhere east of Salt Lake City she has warrants out for her arrest and they don't allow her to travel um to that place so we can't go to Colorado I mean with all the talk of just the deportations and stuff it's it's not [ __ ] it's not what oh watch your mouth sorry watch your just turn that off okay uh what happened to you you know Jake takes a vacation and my wife tries to sit in his chair and she gets gabes uh Monty if you are ever in Denver I will Air Force I think Air Force is a good brand I do I do all right I want to go back to this Tu a tonga vioa thing uh right here on the Monty show because now that Mrs Monty has joined us uh for hour number two or you know hour number three quarter um I do want to talk about this Tua thing from last night because I I think this is a significant issue uh if you did not see it um I can't play you the video but this is the hit that's dear Hamlin from the bills um in innocuous play this was not a violent hit but it led to this and I think when you look at uh Tua concen and seizure on the field and the good news is it's very different than this this is 2022 in Cincinnati where he was seized up and had to be carded off last night he walked off the field and this is dolphins coach Mike McDaniel um kissing Tua on the head and then saying after the game that he cares about the human being and it's I'll be honest with you and tell you it's very difficult for me to what's the right way to say it I I love football I do but it's difficult for me to to feel good about this and I talked about it earlier in the show if you you're just tuning in I actually turned the game off in the second quarter because Tua took another uh a a bigger hit frankly than the one he took that got him the concussion and I did I just couldn't watch it anymore and I found out about the Tua hit when Jake tweeted about it and I flipped back on Prime Sports and there he W Prime video and there he was yeah it's it's tough but I do think that his coach cares I think everybody cares Tua keeps going he does it is on him to stop and I said this to you last night that it takes me back to Dale Jr who took himself out of the ring he took himself out of the race because he knew he was at risk of permanent brain damage yeah agree you have a whole life to live after this career take yourself out it's not worth it that was not a hard hit that no that's the crazy thing is it wasn't some huge helmet to helmet right not a helmet helmet to helmet at all it wasn't illegal and and you you look at this hit right here the bigger issue was yeah and again I follow a bunch of doctors that do uh injury Recaps whenever the a guy snaps his leg or gets a concussion and the foremost expert in concussions um was saying that this is a this is a an impact to the neck and side of the head that causes the brain to have like a a slamming rebound effect to the side of your skull and it's the what happens you don't care about this but what happens here is when you see Tua in this situation with his arms locked up and His Hands locked up your brain is has stopped processing Electro electrical signal yeah it's an interference with the the electrical mechanism in your brain because you hit your head and and your brain bounced off your skull so hard but also makes you worry about his neck if there's that impact is also to his neck you know what's happening there as well well and with all the technology in the helmets now you've seen these helmets that have increased in size by almost 20% why is he not wearing the shock absorber as I call it the the hat that they're allowed to wear in games that a lot of linemen are wearing right it you can't really even see it now on a quarterback I think you'd see it a lot more because he's on camera all the time but it's this this shock dispersing helmet technology that they have to wear in practice they're allowed to wearing games but a guy like Tua who again and I think his Polynesian Heritage plays a role in this well he is a macho dude that again has a $170 million guaranteed contract he just signed but I don't think that his ego lets him wear that and it it's silly to me why would you not do that why would you not wear it I don't know you are you you got 170 million guaranteed contract and you're on your way to not being able to function as a human being I think everyone is supportive that if it is a risk to your health permanent Health stop and the worst part of this hit was his teammates you could see Tyreek Hill visi like he he went like that like he's standing over everybody kind of runs up to Tua yeah and there's a guy immediately like waving people onto the field one of the linemen and Tyreek Hill bends down and looks at to a and I've unfortunately seen it multiple times when you concuss yourself there is you're not there on this level when you are seized up like this you your existence is no longer there and you could see when Tyreek looked down Tyreek went damn another one yeah that was the reaction of his team damn another one and I and this is probably a step too far I acknowledge that but at what point do we say yet to we're gonna have to have you retire we can't have you play if you're the Miami Dolphins a and your head coach is kissing to a t tongue of aloa on the sideline as he walks off with another concussion at what point do you say to a my guy we can't have you play for us because in all good conscious we can't have you destroying your brain we're going to have to move on because don't forget what science says and I know in this country we don't like science but it is what it is the science says every concussion is worse yes every concussion does more damage every concussion that does more damage does more irreversible damage yep and again I'll go to Junior s I'll go to the Kansas City uh murder suicide I'll go to Dave duerson all these dudes Steve [ __ ] McMichael I'll go to all these dudes battling ALS I'll go to Terry Bradshaw who can barely speak English because he's got Parkinson's I'll go to Muhammad Ali I'll go to all these dudes in Combat Sports and in football who have had multiple concussions we know what this does to you it's not worth $170 million and you're going to get that money hell or high water now but is it is your brain dying worth $170 million but that's an interesting question how many people if you said hey you can win the lottery today 170 million and in 30 years you're probably not going to function as a human you won't live past 60 right how many people would say yes I think a lot I think a lot and but I think that's the honest conversation that you have to have is I if Tua keeps saying hey I'm in I'm in I'm in I'm in I mean obviously the doctors are going to take him out right now it's his fifth concussion since 2019 but is it worth it I think some people would say yes and I think you have to know that with all of the information that is out there aren't players being told this is what will happen your doctor must be telling you Tua you keep going here's what the prognosis is we can get you well to where you can play again here's the prognosis does it mean 10 years does it mean 20 years you know that you'll be able to live well with a a ton of money okay is that worth it to you I guess that is his decision it's just hard to watch because if you stop now maybe it's not at 60 maybe you live to 70 maybe you live a great life and you already have a ton of money I I is the what's the barrier I don't know I don't know and I think it's very difficult to I I don't want this anymore I don't and it's why I turned the game off in the second quarter and I you know I I I was outside playing playing some golf I was making some golf content I was swinging my golf clubs I'm playing all weekend long I have a golf setup in my backyard just doing my thing and I came in and what did I say oh damn Thursday night football's on Mrs Monty is is doing what JD Vance told her to do got her ass in the kitchen made some dinner probably probably still trying to pop out babies it's not working but that's why you're unhappy anyway stop stop I'm gonna adopt some cats I'm turning your microphone off um uh who are you Taylor Swift my point is okay I'm a dick I freely admit it my point is I come in from playing golf we're making dinner together I flip on the game I'm watching the game I'm I'm reading topics like you know and then Tu it took that hit in the second quarter I was like no I'm not doing it because every time the guy takes a hit and maybe I'm just the [ __ ] about it but every time that dude takes a hit I'm like n that's a concussion nah that yeah why I don't watch boxing anymore I turned the game off I don't remember what we were watching we were watching something else and then Jake tweeted about two a taking this hit and I flipped it on and there he is walking off the field and replay after replay after replay and Al Michael's talking about how somebody's died like I can't do it with Tua anymore and I don't love anybody getting a concussion no I don't want the Alex Smith fracture but Alex Smith can live his life guys that break their ankles like Dak Prescott can live their lives St a tongue of aloa will never recover from that hit let that sink in it's his fifth concussion since 2019 his third documented concussion in the NFL he'll never recover from that and I just I feel I'm probably making too much out of my complicity in it but when when we watch this and we say anything about it we're complicit in it when we buy the NFL Sunday Ticket we're investing in concussions just know that just know that but maybe that's why they're being paid this amount we're going to give you this dollar amount for your life if you want to play for us you know the risk yeah here's the dollar amount it's funny we have a topic coming up that there's a similar dollar amount okay I don't know what that topic is is um but my point is I think I think you're exactly right if I said to you here's $170 million you're debt at 59 59 years old and 11 months and 29 days you're dead but here's $1 17 million I think 80% of the people would take it I do I I I think 80% of the people would would take it Damen fer uh wow Mr and Mrs Monty finally have something good to look at on the show oh thank you thank you like you like the shirt today I that's nice D it's a good shirt I love that shirt I do nobody asked you okay thanks uh uh and donuts hello Monty super duper golf shirt for the win thank you I and I don't wear them when I golf I want people to know that I don't wear golf shirts I wear sleeves because I am you know what pissed me off yesterday here's something Rando was it me I daily I made a uh I made an appointment to see my dermatologist hey a month ago when I got my the the physical like on a August 1st I go every year on August 1st I get my physical August 1st it's September 133 so six weeks ago they call me yesterday they like oh yeah we're ready to make that appointment for you m cool when uh when can you fit me in uh how about November 30th and we're going to have to send you to Bountiful to see a dermatologist I can't get an appointment until November 30th 3540 minutes from my house no bro I turned it down and they're like okay we'll put you on the waiting list so I'm anyway I don't wear golf shirts when I play golf I wear sleeves to protect myself from the sun because my doctor my doctor essentially said if you if you're wearing short sleeves playing golf you're asking for it so ACC West Coast Gumby enjoy the iasa when your brain is mush the iasa might also mush your brain you're not wrong uh dude dude that abides former nflers are calling on Tua to call it a career peer pressure is often the most influential and I hope it gets louder because that hit like the hit is on ESPN right now he ran his shoulder neck and side of his head into Demar hanlin's thigh and what do I always say about running quarterbacks get a slip and slide learn to slide or don't run it's why Lamar Jackson it's why all these dudes that are running quarterbacks Avery Johnson at K State I it terrifies me yeah because you don't have long careers it's why I look at a guy like Patrick Mahomes is he a running quarterback Sher isman no he's not he's a mobile quarterback who runs so he has a better ability to throw while he's running you don't see him making 30 yard runs down Anthony Richardson how did how did he how did he get hurt last year running they drove his shoulder into the ground he can't run and and have a long career in the NFL K nuran hello money has become uh the god of the world has become when has it never been go back to Caesar I do think it's gotten worse though could be I like that shirt too thanks thanks look at you you know the struggle I have terrible body image right now it's funny we went to this huge Indian wedding last weekend and I put on a bunch of clothes that I hadn't worn in a long time and they're much bigger like it's great I cannot get I put this shirt on this morning and looked in the mirror I'm like dude you are fat like you have and I'm Getting Thinner but I I can't it's so strange the mental game we play with weight loss I just can't yeah I can't get there but I think we all are that way I I do even when I was my lowest weight that I ever was which was pretty low when I was doing a lot of triathlons long-distance triathlons I still thought that I was overweight it's brutal it is brutal giggity hello I would have saved my 20-month membership message for Mrs Monty if I knew she was making an appearance giggity can you decide when that message gets played I was I was unaware of this I did not know that like and donuts you can like select it's time to share your I did not know that membership I had no idea well it's the thought that counts giggity right Monte do you think the nflp will really support teams ending players careers over concussions they would never uh not signing guys with multiple concussions they will go bananas I agree but what do you say to the Dolphins who just signed to a to a massive contract they owe him 170 plus million dollars whether he plays another snap or not yeah that's a lot of money but what are you going to do put a concussion clause in the guy's contract you can't do that I mean it's his third concussion since he entered the NFL and his fifth since 2019 I just think teams are crazy for paying that much especially when you have a player but you know so then what what do you do right so then that the game is okay we don't want to resign him for this extremely high amount then does is someone else going to pick him up I don't know right then who's going to be your quarterback like all the the office decisions are different but they made that deal with him what do the graphic on ESPN say right now says he briefly considered retirement after the 2022 season in conversations with his family that in the Polynesian Community is far more important than the nflp yeah and my belief is that he may well retire because and again I'm not a doctor the science is is proven once you get one concussion you are far more susceptible it's his fifth concussion since 2019 third in the NFL and it wasn't a hard hit and he is far more susceptible now uh Nick D hello Tua needs to hear this time is only currency that we spend without knowing our balance speaks volumes uh to all of us I agree I think the Players Association is they are lobbying for higher pay that covers this type of scenario makes it worth it right what's your body worth what's it worth it's why we're paying quarterbacks $60 million a year it's Y 2 was guaranteed 170 million and averaging 53 onom look at the contract Dak signed dak's not an injury guy but he's also not a spring chicken he could be everybody could be hi Mrs Monty who that Nathan John says respectfully hello hello uh Tanner plumber Monty the root of all evil I am money Oh I thought you said Monty money the root of all evil I was like yeah I am I mean I mean sometimes but you could save your anniversary comment for as long as you want oh I did not know that that's awesome Daniel Dixon as one who has migraines I feel for the guy he will never be the same man Mig science terrible science Rules yes it does it does yes it does going around that he needs to talk to Steve Young well he has a lot of people he could talk to it it's not like this is rare this is not rare there are tons of people who would love to talk to him about dude save your life I mean you guys you understand that yeah maybe he wanted to to get to this point sign that contract 170 million and the next time it happens he's out maybe secretly in his head he was saying that speaking of signing contracts that are guaranteed what we doing Deshawn Watson being sued again and this time it's not a masseuse this story does not get better it gets worse dang I wish I had a towel on the table I could just fully a washcloth please fully guaranteed Des Shawn Watson sued this week by a woman who says they went out on a date they she did not feel comfortable going out on a date with him in public so she asked him to come to her apartment he shows up at her apartment she lets him in she goes into the bathroom to finish getting ready for their date she comes out he is naked laying face down on her bed she claims allegedly this is her claim in the lawsuit [Music] um she alleges also in this lawsuit that they he then demanded that she massage him from the waist down while he was lying on his back she was not comfortable with that and began rubbing his upperback to which he sat up and demanded allegedly that she massage him waist down and she claims he motioned from his waist to his knees um she did not accept that and at one point um after that he sexually assaulted her he fully denies these allegations she is re uh represented by a gentleman named Tony Busby who is now being called the Deshawn Watson lawyer y because he represents all of these alleged victims and I only say alleged because he is not charged criminally with any wrongdoing these are all civil proceedings he was cleared by multiple grand juries I think it's important to State the facts whether you believe or not he was cleared by multiple grand juries and he settled out of court with all but one of his previous um accusers and now here we have another lawsuit from Deshaun Watson that is the worst accusation of them all and I don't know what you do with this I don't know what you do with this uh this lawyer Tony Busby says that he reached out to a gentleman named Rusty Harden who is one of the Premier defense attorneys in the country who represents DeShaun Watson Tony Busby claims he's been trying to settle this out of court and quote quietly I'm sure for many months and DeShaun Watson's attorney declined to have the conversation so the woman decided to sue she is asking a judge to keep her name as Jane Doe which I think is absolutely ridiculous if you are going to make allegations in civil court you need to be named I don't care if it's that you took my lemonade or that I was sexually assaulting you if it's civil court as opposed to criminal if it is civil court versus CRI if it's criminal and you are alleging rape and sexual assault you should be able to hide your identity I totally agree with that yeah if you are going to do this in civil court you need to name yourself and she will have to because Rusty Harden has already said he is going to ask the judge to do that and a judge previously granted his request on that and all other accusers were named I don't know how you sleep at night if Deshawn Watson's on your football team on a fully guaranteed contract beyond the fact he sucks on the field right now and has not been good now you have another really really bad accusation what should the Cleveland Browns do they need to get rid of him they need to get rid of him there should be aren't there morality Clauses in those there is yeah but he is on a no cut contract so you will pay him whether you keep him or not who signs these deals uh Jimmy Haslam sign Deshawn Watson I think there's got to be other CLA so no cut there's no way they can cut him you are you are paying him if he murders children well then I think you then I think you got to bench him because if there's no way to get him out then you just got to bench him and and and go with it he's currently got 200 and two 200 million dollar in dead cap money Jesus 2,712 678 as of this season let him sit and keep paying that out to people that he keeps assaulting whether it's Criminal not you are deplorable at this point and what the hell are you doing it just makes zero sense to continually walk into these situations and just I mean I guess that's your jam so keep paying it out take that money that you're making sitting on the bench and keep paying it out one women what the hell are you doing why would you go near him at all I get it everybody has this like inside of you you're like maybe I can save him maybe he's a good person I I don't think that's I don't think that's it at all I I think I think it's a couple of things one when this date happened none of these charges were known oh so it was well before that none of these charges were known yeah um I think that's part of it I think he is a very goodlook man who plays quarterback in the NFL and in Houston he was a God if DeShaun Watson ask you to go on on a date he approaches you in a bar which is allegedly what happened here you're going to say yes right if you didn't know right it was before all of these allegations but now women we all know you know so don't go there but if you do what what did you say he has left in his cap what what's right now he's a $200 million dead cap hit next year it'll be if you cut him after June 1st it'll be an $80 million dead cap hit it's a massive still two 200 million I would go for 199 million if I was the next but you're but you're not gonna get that you're not not but you know I think you have to deal in realism and I think we like to do stuff like that with all due respect I think we like to live in this fantasy world you're not getting that the point is in my opinion there's only one question do you keep him on your roster or not the NFL has said they're not going to suspend him not going to take him off the field if you're Jimmy Hassam at this point can anybody see him being suspended by the Browns I cannot but you can bench him based on what this cat settled how many of these lawsuits are a dozen how many you know that this guy was was allegedly doing this you knew who he was when you traded six what six first round picks for him or six picks for him and you paid him all that money guaranteed 100% okay with it so you're going to keep him on and you're going to keep playing him maybe when it gets down to 80 you'll feel like it's a good enough deal to cut him and the other the bigger issue is he's terrible on the field yeah he's not helping your football team right now I don't know that he ever gets back to who he was in Houston and now Houston's moved on i i i there's no right in this situation and we can sit here and you know talk about what he's done you know who this guy is if there was another lawsuit today would it surprise you not it would not but you're right they know who he is so they must be okay with it and they're going to roll with that yeah I I don't think you're ever cutting the guy if it were me I would never have acquired him I would never have acquired him how do you deny the multitude the volume of accusations it's not just one it's many yeah and I understand why he would settle them right suppose he's suppose he's innocent and he didn't do anything that he's accused of even though multiple accusers who don't know each other had very similar stories let's say he is innocent I understand why he would pay them off but you know the worst part of this is now it's not just I want a happy ending from a masseuse now we escalated from happy ending massuse to I met her in a bar I took her back to her apartment and I sexually assaulted her allegedly yeah so what is he doing he's doing what every other what every other guy that has sexual predictions does they escalate it's not enough to pay a woman to give me a massage and then expect there's not been enough consequences what you know I'd be interested to see the payout list like what the dollar amounts were because they well one I believe paid out $5 million um which he has already made back in right it's not a big enough deal triplicate at least I I I just don't think if he's a predator it's worth it to him that's how he gets his rise I mean he's paid each one of these victims between 1.5 and $2.5 million a maximum of $5 million it's not worth it enough yet and he was only finded what $5 million and taken off the field for 11 games but you fully guaranteed his contract so he's making that money whether you want him to or not and this is not DeShaun Watson going to jail this is DeShaun Watson paying a woman a million dollars to walk away which if you're going to do that anyways why did you let this become public you know why you let it become public because he's tired of getting sued he's tired of getting sued and he claims he had no idea the suit was coming until it hit the news is what what it is I I I would think you would have to take him off the field I I would never have traded for him and at why would they take him off at this point they're not gonna do anything about it no that's that's my opinion and unless they're fans start to make a lot of noise I think that's the only way that anything changes right now is if you get enough social noise against it but again these owners know and they must be telling them eles we don't have anything criminal he has not been prosecuted criminally we cannot take we don't have anything take him my field legally we cannot remove him because it doesn't go against anything like all right caught whatever today is Friday the 13th now are you you are historically not willing to entertain conversations of superstition I'm not I don't necessarily believe that bad things happen on Friday the 13th they don't but think it makes people money and I think I think in the comments section below do you guys believe in Friday the 13th I 100% do not no believe in Friday the 13th no I I do not I think that it was so much easier to have Superstition um and and to create uh environments where maybe you could be more you know make people be more careful or avoid bad things on Friday the 13th and before you had the internet and we we all know it's just another day there's nothing bad you're fine I mean it just it's it's silly to me but it does make for good stories right I'm good with a good story I I I like a good ghost story I you know I think movies are fun you you don't even believe in ghosts I don't believe in ghosts that doesn't mean you can't have a good story but I'm not saying that those stories are real I think movies like Friday the 13th that whole series is fun true story Freddy Krueger is a true story have you seen Jam Lee Curtis nude not in person but I mean I still would be interested she's for an older lady she's hot I love Jam Lee Curtis well what I why can't I not think of the movie with Eddie Murphy and Dan arroy and oh yes yes we have yes one my favorite moviesa Trading Places places yes Jamie Le Curtis for the win Jamie Lee Curtis for the win can I no uh Nick D well it came from the day that the Knight Templar was slaughtered but I'm not superstitious I am a little stitious a little Sous Elaine tra believes I believe in ghost too ghost are real there's no question about it there's no you believe in Bigfoot well I think there's Sasquatch is real I don't know if Bigfoot see that's that's where right here size 15 but bigger but that's where we get crazy like I believe that there's probably some kind of morphed animal that's a sasquat or that we call a Sasquatch but does that mean it's like a human being that's evolved to walk upright and there's no proof me have big fooot I don't know I don't know though I think you have some type of creature on video people do it's never all of the video that has been seen has been proven but this is the problem with UFOs and Sasquatch and and the monster in the water don't waste your time on it we've turned it into we've turned it into this thing where it's it's some kind of Supernatural thing the Loch Ness Monster is probably a water animal a amphibian that this a Squatch is probably some sort of bear or wild animal like they're not some Supernatural thing you know like aliens who we know fly UFOs around the world that's real these other things are from nature science uh well yes I read that one Trading Places yes thank you Trading Places best you know oh my God it's fine it's fine Rocher here's to Good Vibes for Friday the 13th yes and uh how about Saturday the 14th at Rice eckle Stadium I'm excited to play golf at ruckles yeah me too it'll be fun they are going to be finding golf balls in that stadium for years years years years uh fat Jesus this Friday the 13th is starting off great hello Mrs Monty Jesus what's up look at g off g off how's your back dude g off had a major injury ghost are real Friday the 13th is lame I don't like I don't like horror movies why don't we hide behind the wall of chainsaws oh my God they're so funny I don't like I don't I do not like like I was terrified by The Exorcist as a kid um the one where the calls coming from inside the house do you know how long it took me to want to answer a phone call after that like I hate horror movies was it polter guys no oh polter guys terrifi no you're talking about uh a stranger calling I think it's called that Call's coming from inside the house that was terrible yeah even the movie where a paranormal were they video the videotape movie oh uh Blair Witch no oh Blair which but the one where oh oh paranormal paranormal paranormal oh my God you know what's fun about that though like I know it's not real but they do so well like surprising you and shocking you and it was fun like I think it's fun to watch that I do not believe it at all n bro Keith Carl uh how can you not believe in ghosts when the Monty show Studio door handle once turned on its own during the show she doesn't believe that happened even though Jake and I sat there and watched it happen that lock turned or that knob turned and that door opened we were at when we were at the Maverick Center and we were doing the show at the witching hour which is very early in the morning uh we were doing the show one morning and we're just sitting there talking and we had one of those paddle door handles and it was locked we always locked it cuz weird stuff there are weird noises in that building okay it's a it's a major sports arena in salt Lake City okay I get it we were sitting at this exact desk in a different studio and I watched I I actually think I was talking at the time the handle turned down the lock opened and the door open and the door pushed open and she's like that didn't happen no it didn't you imagine it I did not imagine it it happened Big Blue Horses Mrs Monty thank you classing up the place McDonald's yes or no Indian Thai State Greek tax Max Monty is always talking food what's your jam oh I I love everything uh yeah Indian Thai yes Tech Mech Tex yeah all of it but I don't eat the meats except for rarely I eat the fishes and stay hard yeah thank you um she likes Indian food I love IND I do I like good Indian food that includes non bread and lamb uh yeah I'm not going to go too far last weekend was enlightening Indian desserts are terrible there was some interesting stuff have you ever tried have you ever eaten warm soap anyways yeah don't try it sadly we had like they feed you a ton in the in these Indian weddings we they kept feeding us and feeding us there was like lunch then there was dinner then there was before ceremony breakfast and after ceremony breakfast then you know lunch dinner appetizers then dinner then appetizers then a massive dinner we couldn't we didn't even eat dinner because we but the Saturday night the food was definitely an upgrade and everyone was excited about that it was delicious Indian food State James for there was a script for one or more Friday the 13th where Tommy Jarvis comes back to Crystal Lake to confront Jason need to see Jason finally die okay okay I mean you know okay uh Elaine TR says I can't eat Indian food can't or shouldn't um you know Keith Carl Monty was talking then as soon as Jake started Monty was fixated and not moving for a solid 30 seconds it was terrifying when that and that's where the ghost of Monty was born and you watch that and all the cat porn that was happening in the bowels of that building and and the cats walking around banging each other in there that were procreating you know it was that building had some Juju in it and I am telling you like one of the weirdest things was like the the flashing lights uh in a pitch black building you're just watching these lights in this Hall like it was bizarre bad electrical in an old building no it was not electrical there's not electrical in the middle of the floor there's not and we walked out there and about 10 seconds later we both a little pee came out we went back in the studio and locked the door like that there was some stuff early in the morning at Maverick Center that you it is there's already and and maybe I am just spoiled because I've had the opport but when you walk through a dark Stadium or Arena Catherine codington she used to be the pr person for Kobe Bryant has a thing for empty stadium so I used to tag her in photos like in San Francisco at AT&T Park you're stand I used to go and stand at home plate I covered the giant so I was there every night and I go after every game and just stand at home plate and just enjoy it and they turn off all the lights in the stadium and so there are these white lights that just kind of allow you to see where you're walking out in the stadium on the field it is the most calming terrifying eerily quiet atmosphere you'll ever find yourself in inside of Chicago Stadium um or the uh United Center I still call it Chicago stadium inside of United Center way back in the day Wayne Gretzky got traded to the St Louis Blues Mike Keenan was their head coach and it was crazy and I covered the game and uh I was cutting tape and filing audio reports and then I was going to leave and the bulll was dark where the the ice surface and the bowl and the door was open where the zamb it's called the the Zamboni gate was open and I just stood there and leaned on the gate I didn't walk on the ice but I stood there and leaned on the gate and just looked up at the banners and and you just all of a sudden I always get that feeling I'm like am I alone it's just there's something about an empty Stadium that's weird maybe weird maybe it's that we're not used to being alone in a big place like that or maybe when the door opens on its own when you're doing a live show like you're just such a skeptic you will never I am ever ever Lopes fan Gabe says hit the like button yes please do yeah hit the like please do that always helps we're over almost 3,000 views and we only have 114 likes so hit the like button all right couple more uh couple more stories um do you want to go to space I don't understand this commercial spacewalk BS this billionaire paid a ton of money to SpaceX to fly to space this week on a commercial SpaceX spacecraft yeah an engineer at SpaceX and a billionaire who paid to be there did a space walk where they and they didn't like do anything they like went out of the Pod and floated in space went back in the Pod they actually never fully they had contact with the craft at all times yes they tested essentially they were testing the uh movability of the spacewalk suits stop 200 million so this was my my related story 170 million to potentially kill yourself on the football field or 20000 million to go up into space and potentially kill yourself there the weird thing about this space walk is all other space walks that have taken place before this have been with what's called an airlock so uh whether it be the international Stace space space station or this um space shuttle there is something a a a a air locked room that keeps the oxygen with everybody else in the in the craft safe those people go into a room that takes the oxygen out and then they go into space yeah there's no air loock on this craft they literally everyone was everyone else in that capsule had no oxygen other than what was being pumped into their suits they all had suits being pumped with oxygen but if something went wrong and know getting that back all I'm saying is I I don't understand our the human fascination with going to space I'm fascinated by it the fact that they're talking about all these black holes that are going to collide with each other and I love space I was I look at I follow a bunch of um telescope guys who put post pictures and videos of Saturn going around the moon or yeah I have no desire to go to space and I didn't but if I had have won the $800 million Lottery the other night I would not have gone to space no I'd have bought I'd have bought something on the beach and you'd have never heard from me again I'm not I it's good I think that commercial space travel is good for the world because every single person who has gone to space even whether it be like blue origin where they're maybe paying 25 million to go just to the but they didn't really go to space yeah they just broke the atph high atmosphere but whatever every single person who has done that has come back changed with a different perspective of how important our world they can actually see how Flat Earth is they can actually see that the Earth is round but anyways um but they come back changed and with like a A Renewed passion for our planet and I think that's important I think that the more you can spread that message it's important I don't think it should be 200 million but hey if nobody should be going to space unless you're an astronaut not true I actually don't think that's true they had to be trained it's not like his 200 million was for him to just hop in one day and and go up there he had to be trained and he had to know exactly what had to be done it was very carefully well rehearsed because there's no airlock everything in order for him to be able to be involved in this test and if you want to pay that money in order to further our ability to go to space and our technology go for it co and this is the same thing I say about the a-hole that took all those people down to the Titanic and never came back why why I I just don't I don't know why crush your head until you're going to die well because he's trying to get 200 million I can understand trying to play a kid's game and generational wealth you're giving them 200 million to almost die dick like I'm not here for it at all in any I'm not do for me I do say give 200 million to the private space company because we cannot continue to to spend that lavishly with government money so so that's another perspective is that if this guy wants to spend 200 million in order to be able to be involved in this space walk cool we need that money to help progress the company to be able to improve our technology for for space I don't want to colonize Mars or colonize the moon that's dumb that's never happening in our lifetime so I'm going to spend my hundreds of millions of dollars on golf clubs go for yeah I mean everybody decides what they want to do but I think it's interesting and I don't you know if that's what you want to do speaking of which of things like in the ocean crushing or you know let's talk about cruising I've never been on a cruise I'm gonna be H we've never been on a cruise I've never desired to go on a cruise I know a lot of people who cruise I know a lot of people love it I don't want to go on a cruise it's like a ten can in the ocean one where all your like I get it they have waste filtering but all your waste is going in the ocean I think that's terrible I think it's bad for the environment I think you're going to get sick and then you might just hit an iceberg and you know that's fun um there there really was recently uh and a ship that had a Titanic moment in Alaska that hit a uh a larger chunk of ice they didn't call it an iceberg I think they probably were careful with their words there Carnival Spirit was sailing in the Tracy arm Ford Alaska a Waterway south of the city of Juno known for its spectacular Beauty Beauty and pieces of floating ice they they know they're there yeah uh video of the incident circulated on social media as multiple passengers filmed the moment the ship collided with a large piece of ice um a woman named Cassandra gski if we die it will uh it was damn well worth it it's a Titanic moment why is that worth it the carnival Spirit finished its 7-Day Alaska cruise with without interruption The Vessel has since embarked on another round trip to Alaska this time for 14 days I don't go on cruises mainly because I don't want to get diarrhea from some crazy virus and I understand everybody's gonna be like money cruising's amazing have you seen the buffet fat ass totally get it the food's awesome on the ship I I understand you can play mini golf on the top deck all right neat first of all like you said Everybody poops in the ocean second of all do you guys see where they what they do with cruise ships when they go to die they essentially Beach them and they sit there and rot it's terrible for the environment and I don't want to die in the middle of the ocean I find you know I like I love sitting in window seats when I fly I on the way to Hawaii I almost always keep my window shade down do you know why cuz the ocean's huge and you get lonely and I'm not here for Sasquatch popping out of the water and murking me on a cruise ship is that really why you keep the shade down yeah I I the ocean terrifies me on some level I almost drowned in Hawaii like 10 years ago and I'm just I'm not here for it I am not um I don't think I was there for that you were I but it's fine I was I was I we've talked about this I was we were snorkeling yeah in Honolulu and the the tide was very high the current oh yeah yeah and we were walking it was a beach snorkel we were just messing around and I got to a point where I got pulled a little bit and I couldn't touch the bottom and I was gassed and I I it was that that was tough and I just there have been times where I've been snorkeling in um like on Kona there's this place called twep and if you go too far out or if you go far enough out it there's a huge drop off like there's a huge expanse that that weirds me out and so then I think about the fact that cruise ships pollute the water unbelievably and the waste in plastic that comes off of cruise ships and then I think about things like the Titanic and this ice I'm just it's just not my thing and if you're somebody that likes to cruise please have a slice of lemon Maring pie for me next trip I won't be there I won't be there I'm not saying you're dumb for going but how many times are we going to get some crazy virus where everybody is like crapping themselves on the boat and they're not allowed to leave man like I'm not doing remember like wasn't it called Mera or poop drop right like where does all your poop go oh into the water like Nemo on the East Australian pipeline is eating your poop like I'm not and they do have like waste treatment on every ship but still that's gross it's gross if you've ever flown over a cruise ship and seen the trail behind it it's it's gross I don't care if you say that it's been filtered or whatever it's gross man that's gross I'm not doing it I do enough damage to the environment on my own like I think they're terrible for the environment between Plastics and exhaust and cars and they're terrible for communities if you've ever been uh in a place where uh lived in a place where cruise ships stock and their thousands of passengers spill out and overwhelm I I get it that tourism helps but it also hurts yeah again the it's the circle of life anyways they don't don't die I don't think don't pay to die all right let me give you guys some locks in college football uh I'm taking Kate tonight they're only seven and a half I'm I'm going to take them to win I think Arizona covers that's going to be a close game uh I'm taking Utah to cover the 18 even without uh uh even without I just almost said Travis Wilson even without Cam Rising I am taking the BYU to have a huge bounceback game uh I think BYU is this a critical game for BYU um they're at w in larmy Wyoming's 0 and2 and I think this is Jake retof cannot turn the ball over tonight no picks or fumbles the fumbles are a bigger problem than the interceptions I think he has a huge game in lar me tonight or tomorrow I guess that is and they win uh I I'm I'm all in um I think I don't know what to make a Oak State Tulsa that's a huge number it's in Tulsa but it's not like Chapman's a tough place to play I think I would probably lean Oak State to cover but I'm not convinced Oak State James yeah or don't uh I'm UCF to upset TCU and Fort Worth I think I think that's a very big one and then the game that I think is potentially the game of the weekend and not perone Notre Dame uh I am talking about Oregon Oregon state that game is in uh at rering core Valas go beas I think you got to lean towards Oregon State to get under the 16 and a half go beas I don't know I'm going to lean I am going to lean to or to win the game but that's going to be a tight game that is going to be a tight game uh I will be on a golf course somewhere so um enjoy your weekend are you what are you excited about this weekend golf we have a lot of good golf we have golf tonight we have golf e yeah we have golf at Rice Eckles golf up in at Canyons in Park City yep um golf golf it's just you and me it's the the weekend's over already which I really hate you I want to work four day week I don't want to work at all I don't want to work I'm so pissed I didn't win the lottery the other day I'm so mad the odds are are even worse against us it's just not gonna happen but it is what it is yeah yep lot of golf be well um enjoy yourselves this weekend if you get into a place where you're injured if you're riding a bicycle your motorcycle it's one of the last great weekends of the Fall um of
