[Music] around welcome back to Casual bias rugby once again we are joined by the brother Cedric let's talk sport I said listen the previous time you were on hopefully I see you next weekend with a smile the guy couldn't make it he had a smile but now he's back in the dumps back in the dubs right for the biggest rivalry of the sport I'm just taking the P I'm just taking the sedric how you do no yeah I'm good um yeah unfortunately um I tried my best to stay up for the game fell asleep right before kick off and then you know was hoping to wake up to some good news but um yeah man just South Africa just seems like you guys just have have an over us to won the last three and then D DC beats Israel Adisa and it's like oh is as Chinese bro haven't you seen yeah but no but yeah um but yeah didn't manage s the game but sort of highlight and yeah I guess we can get let me tell you it was an absolutely brilliant game of rugby first and foremost like I wasn't really in a state of of well-being yesterday last night when I when I posted the instant match reaction on Tik Tok or on YouTube I think I made a bit of a fool of myself but that's the whole thing right we just talk from a fan perspective you're just like passionate about the game um but I have to say now that I've got a clear mind and everything it was a great game of rby first and foremost right Andrew brace had an absolute shocker okay and I I'll I'll tell you what happened and then you can give me your opinion on it absolute shocker but I want to come to something first right like right before kickoff I'm sure you s did you see the Haka were you Waker long long enough for the yeah um what what you but disrespectful oh I I just saw like I heard that was disrespect because I think you guys were like doing something over or no paying attention yeah so so first and foremost the crowd was loud over it and then always over Ellis Park they they fly the the airplane right like it's back to that uh what's it 1995 World Cup final where it happened for the first time um it's it's like a tradition for for us to do this but they also played sister batina now we've always had a massive issue with this but for some reason he decided to play it over the AKA um the airplane thing I kind of can excuse it because it's like a timing issue it's literally a plane flying over the stadium right yeah yeah definitely it's just a timing issue but I don't think they meant to be that disrespectful to the AKA until the DJ did it and I was like oh my word the DJ and fireworks during the AKA um yeah I guess yeah that's pretty from what I've always known like when it came to the haa most teams did like just watch or you you've seen some teams like get into like a formation and just kind of face the hu up but then like when people kind of don't like um I guess pay attention to it it does seem kind of disrespectful yeah I guess especially to a lot of like M people so yeah yeah yeah of course yeah it's always been that thing where it's like the Haka is is something that is respected but you kind of want to respect it also by like retaliating so it's like that famous thing of of the Irish standing like that and I don't think that is disrespectful at all to to stand like that it's just like a bit of Mind Games as well but it doesn't mean you're all of a sudden disrespecting you're not screaming over the akaka or dancing your own dance across from it but anyway anyway let's talk about the game and a big talking point bongi manami's dry um apparently it shouldn't have stood and to be fair it should not have stood he definitely lost that ball before he placed it down um but then also you're thinking like should should your first Drive St that mole was definitely obstruction definitely it was definitely a different moall that like the TMO never came either one of the tries you never came into any of the tries that was scored yeah even your commentators said it yourself like maybe they should look at that one um it just seemed like from the start um from what I saw like the riff wanted just move on quickly like make look yeah but yeah because a lot of people I made a quick Tik talk and on the first try obviously I said I shouldn't have sto but then I went on to saying I still think we should have won like even though they scored that we we still should have won being um yeah that we didn't have a comfortable lead but that's for later but um yeah just the Riff just from the gate just seemed um yeah dude he missed so many things like sometimes I thought he was in favor of of the All Blacks and then other times I was like wow he is absolutely cooking the All Blacks at the moment like some of his calls were absolutely ridiculous and I know I'm I'm always just like a bias I'm your typical South African I'm a bit biased like every single team if you lose you're thinking oh the ref cooked us right but at certain points I was looking at at that game and I was like yeah I don't I don't really know about that one especially there at the end AI SAA he was over the ball did he really come in from the side I don't think so he was obviously went on to to score from that as well um so so Andrew Bryce just had an absolute shocker but I will not allow the fact that people think okay bongi knocked the ball over the tri line right to kind of you use that as an scapegoat excuse to say because you had the lead 10-point lead with 15 minutes to go you should be seeing the game out from there come comfortably and were saying um oh sorry you good you good no no no no go go go go yeah um I heard my because I spoke to my dad about the game too and then um he just said it was a really good game like one of the best games he seen in a while and then yeah we could have won and there was a chance where the ABS could have taken a three but they decided not to and um yeah that's exactly what I saying like even though that that that try was allowed and um it like and it seemed like he knocked it on we still had the lead and we had to do our best to protect it because we were basically winning most of the match up until I guess like five minutes left I guess so yeah yeah it was so it was an annoying game to watch it was a great game a spectacle right but it was such an annoying game to watch from the South African perspective because if you look at the the tries that the All Blacks scored and it's like okay the M try fair enough right scored a nice but then it's like Caleb Clark's first try why did Ben Jason Di who by the way struggled a lot and we we I'm talking about Ben Jason Dixon as another Peter St totoy when he went to the ground why is he popping that ball out of a rock when there's nothing on for us and he absolutely threw a rocket right into Yas Pisa it rebounds straight into the All Black's hands and we have no defense out wide because we are under attack right yeah so K gets her walk in why do we run the same line with cak kissi as as like second receiver and then Jordi Barett like okay well if you're going to do it a 10th time we know seak needs that ball that interception try and once again it's just like idiotic stuff um but fair play to Jordi Barrett for reading that and then FY calls a mark Daman McKenzie is in the back field covering everything why is he rushing a mar kick if you're just gonna kick it out right and he kicks a horrible kick because he's rushing it and you guys go and score literally from that line out that that's being over overthrown but you should you should have had that ball past the 50 meter line but now it's just outside R22 mistakes mistakes mistakes and and we've both said it like if you give the all black silly mistakes like this they are going to punish you that's what made the All Blacks the greatest team to play this game it's so it's so frustrating conceding tries like this but Sur it makes you happy as a as an all blacks fan knowing you got still you still so clinical any mistake and you pounce on that right yeah definitely um positives coming off with that like you said um the first try the rolling Mo and then yeah I thought I think you mentioned it in your Tik Tok you thought Caleb clar was absolutely phenomenal it just yeah you can tell he's lost a bit of bit of weight and he's really quick um yeah yeah then they left it and then they try Jordy scored it seemed like um yeah from what I heard from reviews and stuff the the spring rocks kept running that same play every time and then Jord was like oh they probably gonna do it again and a set right in his hand and he was like oh I'm offing brilliant read like a brilliant read cuz if he missed that if somehow that slipped through and SE got that ball SE was in the Gap cuz Jordi was the one marking SI and he fully committed to that interception so if that ball got it good luck chasing down C from there but I mean yeah it was just a sensational game like I'm thinking about it like the massive massive Heats surely surely by now um we know Halloween's coming up would do you think anyone's dressing up like like the the All Blacks nightmare Peter step to tackle you think that at the yeah he he just especially against old blacks just doesn't back down he he's he's in he's in everything and I mean I still get nightmares from him from the World Cup final away because yeah gu Smith as well when he came on he changed the game completely but I have to I I said it last night my my man of the match is still Caleb Clark even in a losing cause he was he was so so good like I mean he was so secure under the eyeball I don't think he dropped a single eyeball um yeah and it just looks like he's he's kind of rejuvenated and got it got more energy from this previous Super Rugby season it's since he Scot his a the guy's absolute Beast I can't see you guys dropping him I can't see you guys dropping him anytime soon it's it's kind of rough because who do who do you think they should start on the wings well I've been a massive fan of markia I I thought he's the best Winger in the world um I'd definitely go Caleb Clark on the left hand side and yeah I believe will Jordan is good but I I see him as a finisher right um I'm not saying he's he's too overrated or anything but I'm not saying he's like his TRC scoring record speaks for itself but I think Mark offers you offers you more but I think why isn't SE ree playing by the way I think SE re class as well go Caleb Clark and SE ree even yeah because I I was surprised he got Dr because I still had Civ Reese on the squad as well but I don't know yeah civil Ree and Kaleb Clark would make sense because they both bring something kind of different um yeah and yeah like you said Caleb he's been playing really well ever since he cut his um and he just seems a lot more like a lot more confident in his ability especially under the high for a while now just seems really safe every time the wall goes into the air but um yeah he was your man of the match spring box um I'm taking a wild shot I'm going literally for the couple of minutes he played it's got to be guaka Smith I think Gua Smith was absolutely Sensational when he came on Al low as well did you see alri low left what's M's ankles there in Oakland bro from the kickoff Al gets the ball steps you that delaya literally tackles the ground Jas Colby had a great game by the way as well jasen goldby bumping Scott Barrett I mean oh yeah yeah see a clip what absolutely crazy that's ridiculous did you have anything else that you wanted to add to this game um or do you want you find to move over to to the wab game to have a quick chat about that um I think yeah I'm just looking forward to next week because now I I think we both kind of know what to expect and what it seemed like it seemed like our Pard what changes would you make for your for the old black team uh to be honest I probably wouldn't make a change um to that starting 15 oh something I did hear a lot was that Al bench played poorly but I don't know can can you your bench was our bench played poorly there was no impact um you could say that yeah you were a lot better with with your starting starting boys there but but we all know it's a drop off when you when you when you take off some of your big boys like the drop off from Scott Barrett whoever's on the bench is always going to be a big drop off the the drop off from uh Ethan de gr well toarti Williams played but then the drop off from toarti Williams and Tyro LX to offer toaf fasi and I think it was Fletcher if I'm not mistaken it's always going to be a drop off because those the the boys that are starting are world world class that's so it will always be an issue and and the thing's always been like South Africa's boys coming from the bench Malcolm marks like that guy the best in the world I mean so our bench that comes onto the field is arguably better than the boys that are starting like K St like you've most likely not heard of the guy but he's Sensational he's probably one of our best on form like our two best props is and but they both play the same position and it's literally just like they are so good both of them um and then you have Malcolm marks you you have etet coming off the bench you get what I mean so it's like yeah yeah definitely difference in quality was was was there so yeah sorry you were saying you were saying something but yeah um it just seemed like Al backs played really well and maybe our PS needed to step up a bit um and I think right first of you guys four packed really well maybe your backs could change up a couple things here and there just to cuz like um I don't know if you saw that video with the All Blacks they talking about you guys Wingers and South Africa have always had really good Wingers and the likes of Alana and now chisen like yeah when you guys get them the ball to work like a lot and to get them into space here just ch's got the best steps in the world if you want an island with him yeah good luck yeah and but now obviously we have to make a change because because kly orence and and Chasin both equally as as good as as good as each other but C or got knocked out so he's out for next weekend so I'm wondering what we'll see I wouldn't be surprised if we actually go but Wayward and say listen Jessy K slot onto onto the wing position where you played the played the rest of the game uh this weekend and then maybe we see luk am in the 13 once again I wouldn't be surprised if we see that or we'll just go PL and simple and say pimp or Kanan Moody for instance go on to the win I was really impressed with who Kanan Moody like where has he injury long injury long injury he just returned yeah yeah yeah someone that actually stood out and and I think we spoke about it last time was I still see Rico Yani as a Winger but he had such a good game yesterday I felt the guy just got over the gain line literally every single time he touched the ball he looked so hungry for for yesterday's game I thought that was his best game as an like he was good he was really good did you see that tackle he put on um sty toy he like he like grabbed him and fo me I was like okay he was a Hungry Man yesterday R yni was a Hungry Man anyway let's switch over to to the wab Beast game quickly neither of us watched it right because I told you man was not in a state I was asleep you know it's one of those things okay but I'll just give the floor to you just the thoughts of of the Wes winning that game were you expecting that or is this a massive surprise to you um I definitely was not expecting it um I think the way we've seen Argentina play the last two weeks oh wow last week wasn't their best showing the the first week um then I thought just being at home uh the crowd behind him I thought yeah they would have played well but um yeah from what I heard Australia were in it the whole time in terms of like position territory was like pretty close Australia just like ended him a bit and then yeah they're just in around their work and managed to pull off did you see the penalty right at end you see what happened they just take the time take the time yeah but I mean that's that's just game not game management gamesmanship right like you know you're going to kick it over the game's over but I heard some people say they have to like reverse the clock because the penalty was given at 70 uh what was it 7850 or something like that and I'm just like well that doesn't really matter because they only said they're going to post after 79 minutes and then he has a minute to kick right like if there was a scrum and stuff they don't or let's say someone scores a try you don't take minutes away again like relax they they won the game and listen even in the first half Australia had the ball the all time like I watched some of it this morning but then I switched it off again watched the highlights but um college is on was great and but they just didn't have the points in the first half but I thought Australia were were the better team they were the better team in my opinion they deserved to win it I called him to win it because I actually see a bit of a project with Joe Schmidt um yeah yeah yeah I had this discussion and and I'm going to pose this question to you what was our expectations of the Wes after the World Cup right like what or when we playing South Africa they they beat Wales should have beaten them more comfortably they beat Georgia then go goes up against South Africa the the literally the World Cup winners now the greatest defense it's your toughest task that you could possibly have right they got blessed in the first half of the first game they looked a lot better in that second half of the first game they were a arguably the better team in the second half of the first game and then they go and play in torrential rain where it's just a game of physicality then like what was your expectation of this W wab bees team I think yesterday that's the level that they can still play at they can still go go and play against Argentina and beat them I'm going with Australia to beat them again next weekend I think they've got talent you give them some dry dry weather where they can run the ball or whatever which they didn't even have yesterday they can cause some serious damage I think there is a project to to to see a better side of of this wab team what's your thoughts on that um I think my expectation after the World Cup to be honest I I don't really have an expectation the the state Eddie Jones left them just kind of live for dead and then like you said they won against Wales um and they played Georgia and they beat them um and in South Africa we weren't expecting anything um like you said uh that the first off in the first game absolutely smacked and in the second half Australia played better but yeah in this game I did have Argentina winning um but yeah for Australia to to get a win and of Jo Schmid as the coach now um yeah I definitely think he has a plan but my question to you cuz some of my Australian supporters are like the blit low is coming home what are your what what are they're getting smoked they're getting smoked they're getting absolutely thrashed listen when when it's time to pitch up and play for silver way the All Blacks will become Prime 2015 2011 All Blacks listen when you that's the thing when it's when it's Rivals right let's say um let's because you guys W obviously w at your best um before this game against South Africa right but when there's a rivalry and stuff form goes out the window all of a sudden everyone just pitches in and they know this system exactly like the palm of their hand they play Beautiful rugby so when it comes to these big games New Zealand will never just all of a sudden drop off to the level to give Australia a chance I wouldn't be surprised if they pull it a bit closer maybe and lose by 30 points instead of 50 but no let's let's not let's not be ridiculous not jump ahead of us yeah yeah no no no I I still back the wab to get it done this weekend but let us low let's let's not fool ourselves out here do you have doubts no no no I was just wondering what you thought CU um yeah just one of my mates like it's coming home and I was like uh never mind we we we'll just see what happens yeah yeah no no no no that that that's that's a bit of a Str that's a bit of a stretch um do we want to add anything on the on the Argentinian game we spoke about it when when we previously spoke I said it looks like this Argentinian team when they beat you guys looks like a team that has finally like turned the page and said we want to get some consistency and whatever they've just gone straight back and said no we are the same Argentina as always because you did you call today you were like oh like watch this um 50 points by the ABS next week and I was like oh no this Argentina team they look really good in the first half I was like oh he was right consistency like and then I've I'm I think Australia will I think Australia will beat them again I'm gonna say after that performance you think I kind of have a question for you because I asked it to to Teddy um in literally like our final thoughts video on on Friday and I asked him I think it's a good thing that Australia's playing away from home at the moment like it favors them to actually play in Argentina because I firstly think Argentina in Argentina is overrated they lose a lot of games there like I think having the pressure off their own fans off their back is a good thing for for the Wes like not being booed by your own fans like if they play they're getting booed but now it's like okay well we don't have any of that pressure in Mendoza and Argentina just crumbles under their own people like they cry so much they forget to play rugby like we play you guys played there right smash them you guys played home they beat you there right or they pull it close we smashed them in Mendoza they come to us should have won the game we win it by one point yeah yeah I remember yeah like they are not that good at home they lost to a third team French side at um I was watching that game and I I was like who are these French players like there's World Cup and they lose and I'm like what is going on with the team but no I understand where they com from yeah you agree that it's better for for the Wes to not play at home at the moment I think so cuz like you say um I don't think anyone um like really enjoys watching a wall be play and especially at the school level like a lot of the boys are choosing the rugby league pathway like the NRL pathway and I think a big thing towards that because of how the Wes are playing and just especially how they went cup but um yeah I think it's a good thing like you said a lot pessure off them they can just go out there and try different things play how they want let me actually check here let's Che what is the rugby championship table at the moment is the Wes in third did they actually surpass Argentina I check on my pH yeah taking no no know they still they still lost cuz Argentina's got five points because Argentina got a losing bonus point now and this was the first point that Australia get yeah but they're supposing them next weekend I'm calling it now I'm telling you guys are clear head right now like yeah yep the spring Bo there was a point yesterday where you guys get five points and we get zero which means we were GNA be stuck on nine um would you have Bas then I no no no because I'm just I'm just adding yeah cuz I'm taking your six points cuz you got two yesterday um I'm just adding five more to it forgetting that you got two points yeah anyway but I don't think it's all done and dusted yet right like Argentina could easily pull an upset over South Africa like they've done it a couple of times if you guys Us in because I said if there's ever a game that you guys are beating us at it's the Cape Town game kind of plays into your hands you've got a lot of support out here in Cape Town I wouldn't be surprised if it's a 5050 split even like there's so much support for for the All Blacks out here Cape Town's been rainy so the wet ball always favors you guys above us we are terrible in wet weather so that goes what's your what's your final thoughts thinking about next weekend before we just wrap it up um yeah I'm GNA make sure to to like nap so I can watch that game make sure I watch the wab game and uh yeah now I'm just looking forward to it nothing more to say and yeah once again uh to clear it up everyone the old black should have won like that that was my view they should have won but um yeah that first try doesn't doesn't mean
