B sponsor questions hard was it for the yeah you know we're were just bad uh on first and second down I think for a lot of the game and then you know we had a couple drives we converted third downs but overall you know we we uh uh we I feel like we didn't have any third and 10 pluses tonight so that's always a good thing when we look at the stat sheet but uh we didn't convert those third and mediums um you know we had a drop we had a couple uh penalties had a bad throw so um lot to correct but overall I feel you know feel good about our guys thought the protection was really good tonight um we just were a little bit off in the in the Run game couldn't give Bree Cohen couldn't give him enough space um but a lot to build on how did you feel physically being out there for full game for the first time in so long yeah it's been a while I felt great a lot of gratitude uh just to be uh be back in pad so many people help me get to this spot so I'm really thankful for um you know my surgeon my BTS my loved ones you know my friends the staff here training staff to help me uh get back was really cool um obviously wanted to you know take a shot and and uh feel you know the physicality of it once I you know threw a couple balls and took a shot I felt felt good felt like I was in uh into the game you had that the seven minute drive down I think there were three straight third down conversions when you have a drive like that that early in the game coming off your long layup yeah I mean I it felt great you know we had some uh on the ball uh plays there where have kind of a menu to choose from um luckily chose the right ones in those situations and made the proper reads but I felt like the protection I drive was especially good um I mean it was great all night but with that drive I had a lot of time to throw um they you know didn't bring a lot of pressure played a lot of soft coverages um a lot of two High stuff they mixed in some man here and there but uh overall it was uh you know they were they were stopping the run with their with their front and they were playing you know pretty pretty soft in the back end but we had do a better job you know starting second half there um get back in the game we put our defense in a tough spot I did is there anything to there's a lot of haven't played games together on the line a receiver you miss last year does that contribute to some of the struggles you guys had or is that just I mean that's an excuse for sure I mean I'm not going to use that I don't think we should you know we expect uh greatness when we step on the field um there were moments for sure the moments that felt really good um but not sustained you know um felt like if we could just get a first down we'd be rolling um and we had those three and would really hurt us but you know I think a lot of stuff's correctable which is great for coaches um it's frustrating for for players because we know how close uh we were slash are but no time for that we're going to move on to Tennessee quickly and then we got a game for days after that so this is a tough opener for us uh travel-wise and schedule wise but uh no excuses we got to play better I got to play better and U you know we'll bounce back next week you were not happy with the way you play I can play better yeah I mean I I missed a couple throws I missed the one to Garrett there last Drive I was in uh you know the pick I missed his slightly inside on that one um yeah I mean I felt overall I was getting the ball out pretty good but um yeah some opportunities i' like back what happened Series where you had second one third and one why think well we had a we had a completion on second and one and uh you know G just didn't get his foot down uh third and one we had a good play they slanted the line and kind of blew us up and fourth and one we had they played man Jam front we had a nice play call and I just missed the throw low with the running gam R the way it was would you wanted to throw the ball more I always want to throw the ball more but you know we got a great uh great line we run it well all Camp so we expected to to get some of those we just kind of missed some targets Maybe and Just a little bit off a couple more that touchdown drive you you and Garett dve you and Garett connected quite a bit long gap before you did again was that just a lack of plays I think so yeah I mean we just didn't have uh a lot of opportunities um because I'm always trying to look for him moving them around getting him in spots um yeah I mean I don't know if there's any there wasn't obviously the offense is around getting him and Bree the ball um so but I was you know I want to highlight Allen I've been talking about him for a lot of camp and though he had to drop on the first third down I thought he played the a nice game made some nice plays for us and really uh really proud of him was itou he was open he put his hand he put his hand up you know I I the balance I thought they're going to blow the play dead a lot of times they do on that but I guess it was slow enough to where he was trying to get back um and I just kind of looked over to the left to make sure he was off siid next next thing I saw was Alan putting his hand up so throwing the ball last one seen a lot of talented teams I would yeah they are a championship level group um and I hope we see them there thanks everybody room's still open for
