[Music] Lexus presents tennis on Sky Sports and so it is curios and [Applause] Novak Novak I mean obviously not the way you want to win but you know he had elbow surgery 6 months ago and to see him back at on court playing amazing how heartbreaking is it to see him having to retire tonight well um it's it's not what we want it's not what the crowd wants you know to see a walk over uh but you know he obviously had uh an injury that uh you know took him out of the tour for some time and he's struggling to come back to uh I I guess physically to his level I mean he's such a good player especially in these conditions and it should have been his second set honestly he was 42 up 1540 uh I don't know whether whether winning the second set uh you know probably mentally put a more burden on him but uh overall um it was a big fight you know over two hours for two sets you know I served uh awful so playing without a serve you have to grind you have to run not everyone serves like you so uh I guess I have to rely on my Baseline game so you've got gold medal 24 Grand Slams every Accolade that this sport has to give what when Novak jovic wakes up in the morning what continues to drive you to come out here because when I asked you before you walked out you said you still feel the Jitters you still feel the nerves so what drives you yeah I I guess it's a fine line you know between uh feeling the Jitters that are kind of uh yeah making you really anxious and nervous coming out on the court and and and also feeling or the feeling the feeling of excitement you know that that's what I'm trying to draw I guess uh and find every time I am about to play a tournament or step out on the court I mean it doesn't get big bigger than this in terms of a tennis stage uh the atmosphere is incredible I mean it's uh it's it's a a great privilege to be able to play again you know at my age just try to keep keep pushing the the bar a little bit more for the young guys and uh see how far I can go so four championships here in front of the best crowd in the world everyone knows you love playing tennis here but what does Novak jovic get up to on his off days what do you like doing in in New York City uh drinking Nick kirio smoothie at the joy and the juice that's what I love um I don't know Walking In A Center Park um I like to I like to dedicate half a day at least to recovery you know things I have to do on the table with my guys uh you know and and and other stuff you know they just try try to get my body in shape you know it's it's uh it's not 21 anymore so I have to pay extra hours uh to um to the recovery process so you know I'm I'm I'm I'm happy with the way I'm playing from back of the court I still have to serve better much better in order to have a chance to go far deep in the tournament you know it's only going to get tougher from here uh Alex poer in next um who is you've been playing some great tennis uh in the last couple weeks so going to definitely have to play better and step it up okay go get some rest guys Novak jovic Give It Up didn't say a whole lot there but the one thing I did he knows who he's playing next
