Allgeier Falcons running back Tyler alir ports rumbled throughout the offseason that this Falcons backfield would be more of a split than anticipated that didn't hold true in week one however as bejan Robinson handled 18 of 21 running back carries and played 40 more snaps than alir even despite averaging seven yards per tote his three Rush attempts were the lowest of his entire career yes his entire career looking ahead the Falcons running backs draw a tough matchup visiting the Eagles in week two and even though alir is a premier handcuff it's more important that you roster players who potentially give you reliable production the second player on our list Ja’Lynn Polk is Jaylen pulk wide receiver for the New England Patriots I'm normally willing to give rookies a fairly Long Leash they historically have slow starts to their rookie seasons and see an uptick after their team's bye however we just don't have time for that with Jaylen pulk in this experiment of a Patriots offense the Patriots top four wide receivers all played between 35 to 40 snaps in week one but pul was the odd man out drawing only one target while running the third fewest routes KJ Osborne ran less routes yet LED all Patriots wide receivers with six targets as long as the Patriots Place emphasis on the Run game and continue to roll jacobe Brett out as their starting quarterback the potential shine of jayen pulk will get dimmer by the week and there are other higher upside players on the waiver wire right now another Patriots player you can send to the waiver wire this week is Antonio Gibson Antonio Gibson nobody expected Gibson to steal a significant amount of carries from mandre Stevenson but the worry was that he would siphon from Andre's usage in the passing game well Gibson Drew zero Targets on Sunday while playing 38 less snaps than ra Andre similar to Jaylen pulk this offense just isn't going to be good enough to support multiple fantasy relevant pieces and worse yet there's little to no handcuff value here with the Patriots drawing the Seahawks Jets and 49ers the next three weeks Gibson is nothing but dead weight on your squad right now going back to the Falcons our Darnell Mooney fourth drop this week is wide receiver Darnell money of the Falcons 56 snaps on Sunday Darnell Mooney played 53 of them which is a positive sign what wasn't positive though was that the Falcons offense as a whole and I'm worried Kurt Cousins may end up being a hindrance I'm not trying to overreact after one week but cousins looked relatively immobile the Falcons maybe tried to hide this by lining up in shotgun or pistol formation on 96% of their snaps but even at that there was little to no movement in the pocket from Kirk Cousins at any rate Ray Ray McLoud led the team in targets yesterday and that was not on anyone's Week 1 bingo card and if Kurt Cousins can't drive the ball downfield Mooney is much better off on your waiver wire up next is Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Luke Musgrave Musgrave it was going to be a battle coming into the season between Musgrave and fellow tight end Tucker craft but it seemed Musgrave would potentially have the upper hand with craft dealing with a pectoral muscle injury throughout the off season however that was not the case in week one Musgrave was out snapped by Craft 64 to 17 against the Eagles both tight ends drew two Targets a piece but if Musgrave isn't the primary tight end on the field there's not much upside to be had here then boiling the fact that the Packers will be without Jordan love for 3 to 6 weeks while he deals with an MCL Sprain and Musgrave quickly becomes an Expendable piece on your roster the sixth player we need to talk about is Blake Corum Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum after all of the offseason hype Blake Korum was rewarded with a whopping zero snaps on Sunday night football against the Lions there was believ that corm would be the ti ofler R to kyon's bejan Robinson that corm would allow Kiren to get a breather instead of shouldering a 90% snapshare that just flat out did not happen Kiron still played 91% of the snaps while Ronnie Rivers took the other 9% again really trying not to overreact after just one week but unless your league scores kick return yards Blake Coro May just be another meaningless handcuff early on in the season another Curtis Samuel wide receiver you can drop to the waiver wire this week is Curtis Samuel of the Buffalo Bills Samuel has been dealing with turf toe over the last few weeks which could explain his lack of week one production in a high-scoring game but this is also a crowded wide receiver room Samuel only played 17 snaps and ran nine routes compared to M Holland's 20 routes shakir's 21 and Keon Coleman's 27 he was the OD man out not only in 12 Personnel but an 11 personnel as well the biggest fear right now is that Shakir will continue to dominate the slot snaps ahead of Curtis Samuel and even once he is 100% healthy it's not like khil Shakir is just going to go away again there are higher upside pieces with more opportunity on the waiver wire right now the second rookie running back you can look to drop is Trey Benson of the Arizona Cardinals Trey Benson Cardinal offensive coordinator Drew ping said last week that James Connor was the clear bcow in this run running back room and he wasn't lying Benson only handled three of the team's 25 Rush attempts on Sunday while Connor was given 16 from a snap perspective Benson totaled only eight snaps which was the third fewest of all Cardinal players on offense the camp Buzz for Benson wasn't positive to begin with coming into the season and we don't have time for handcuffs early on sure James Connor doesn't have the healthiest track record but there's also no guarantee Benson takes over his entire workload should Connor Miss time coming in next to Chicago Bears tight end Cole KT the upside was always limited for KT coming into the season considering he would likely be the fourth or fifth Cole Kmet option behind DJ Moore Keenan Allen romad dun and potentially DeAndre Swift turns out KT is also behind Gerald Everett in the pecking order after Sunday KT played seven less snaps and ran nine less routes than the 7-year vet the offense should improve as the season goes on we definitely didn't see the best of Caleb Willams on Sunday but there is little to no room for optimism with KT if this will be the norm for the Chicago Bears if KT is somehow your starting tight end you can absolutely do better on the waiver wire and if he's your tight end too he's nothing but a roster clog to dump ASAP the last player you can look to dump this week is Los Joshua Palmer Angeles Chargers wide receiver Josh Palmer I don't want to entirely give up hope on Palmer considering he led all Chargers wide receivers and snaps on Sunday but this pass Attack under Greg Roman wasn't exactly inspiring lad makoni paved the way with five receptions on seven targets for 39 yards and a score but 39 yards is nothing to write home about the Chargers do get a date with the Panthers defense that got humiliated by the Saints in week one but who's to say John Harbaugh and Greg Roman don't feed the running backs 25 plus times in that game not to mention Palmer would potentially draw JC horn on the outside in that game so if you need more upside on your
