who to drop if you miss at the podcast if fits and de bro and I did came out yesterday but my goodness you know Jord that was before I know that was before the Meson news that was before the CMC news baby it was before all of that so I mean we got to just start here can we Jordan Mason Fantasy Football Outlook start with Jordan Mason 28 attempts for one 52 a touchdown 22 fantasy points on my bench in several leagues where I mean he was on everyone's bench unless you had CMC had Jordan Mason had enough time to make the switch the whole thing which is why I use things like my playbook and autopilot so these switches happen automatically uh but Debo we'll get to wawire ads we'll get to Dobbins we'll get to like we'll get to all that stuff but we gotta lead the show with Jordan Mason today because that was an incredible performance against a very good defense uh of course I was enjoying that game on a whole other level after my entire battle all did you give it to ER did you deliver it the text chain between Andrew and myself last night I want to post it on social media I think we should make a Youtube short on it because it is hilarious and then fi you know you know that that that Meme where the guy's like rubbing the other guy's face into the DJ uh the record thing uh that that's going to be me Thursday on betting proos make sure you join us for the show there but right when I really started to give it to him bad that's when the Jets scored again I was like oh no I jinxed it but let's talk about Mason because um this is a guy you know 50 to 60% rostered already in a lot of spots uh he was added a lot of people added him yesterday you know when that happened which is also one of these things I spoke about this on Sunday on the TV show on Sports grd I said look you know add Jordan Mason today just because because if if something happens to mcaffrey if for some reason mcaffrey ends up uh not getting the full workload Mason's going to get awful expensive awful fast what was your takeaway from last night's chaos and the Mason performance he looked amazing and I tweeted this out throughout the entirety of the off season I was like look I know we got a small sample size but Jordan Mason on a per touch basis over the last two years has been freaking awesome man and he put I mean he just put on a show last night and so we we had Subs in the Discord last night I was answering questions right before kickoff of that game and one of our subs uh reached out and said look I'm probably losing this game this week one matchup anyway do I keep the Jets defense right now that I'm starting or do I drop them and pick up Jordan Mason I was like I you're taking the lell anyway drop them now and pick up Mason like so we had multiple Subs in the Discord reaching out with DMs like what do I do Mason's out there how much I mean what do I I mean dude he was awesome and the other thing that also percolated out before kickoff yesterday that we got to bring up here Joey is that there was also talk about CMC is not a lock to play week two they want to be cautious and careful with this so you're G to get multi-week viability out of picking up Mason and I mean it's been talked about as a calf the the Achilles has also been mentioned too so if San Francisco's Really Gonna slow play this you might get two more weeks of Jordan Mason rb1 season and really like that's where you just open up the budget I'm not saying you empty the entire clip because if CMC comes back you're gonna be wishing that you didn't do that but Joey like 40% 45% is that you're also talking about it's not it's not crazy I don't think it's crazy because there's also reinjury I saw deox um he was worried about him I watched it too he was very worried about it and he's like look you know you're basically going to be holding your breath for every single time and and what does this come back to the offseason discussion we had 417 touches when people go over 400 touches and they've been Elite running backs who have done this I mean usually it is an elite running back who does this you know they the next year there's typically issues there's typically wear and tear that happens and nobody's trying to throw a shade at at Chris McCaffrey's Talent like this is just a matter of hey you have the whole board this is a guy that has more risk than I think you're paying attention to and we tried to bring everybody around to that but that that's done and dusted now I know important is is looking at Mason going forward now he looked good in the preseason too and I don't want to take too much out preseason but he was very good in that last preseason game that he played in and again the Jets defense is theoretically very good so Mason is a player that uh look he should absolutely be somebody you're aggressive on because not only does he have value for the next couple weeks theoretically but he might have more value as the time goes on here's my big question to you and I know it's for everybody in the chat too we're gonna get to your questions I see you but I want to address Mason at the top because we didn't address it on yesterday's show because he was already kind of over 50% and we were just kind of looking at each other like well you know Mason is is break glass kind of situation but we didn't know that glass got broken on Friday though and that glass being Christian mcaffrey uh out now here's the question if you're the mcaffrey manager how much more aggressive do should you be with Mason because I feel like that is the that's where we get to the 45 70% who like I mean but but seriously like if you have CMC at this point like you're not only just like protecting the investment but we've seen we know what Mason can do he's going to be a 20 to 25 touch player regardless and in two of the next three weeks I mean we're talking about he gets Minnesota the Rams and New England two of those games ah positive game scripts for days so you could just see him roll up another 25 freaking touches man so I mean yeah like are you against though Joey like if you had CT on your team and I know that you don't because I know you were going lamb and I know you're going other wide receivers I lamb and Hill L Hill let's play let's live in this fictitious world where you drafted CMC how much are you spending you're right because it means more to me than everybody else and if CMC isn't available two things number one like the only way I can win is if Mason has games like this and the only guy that can possibly have games like this is a guy in an offense built like that and I think that's at the end of the day the conversation all right let's get to some Week 2 Fantasy Football Drop Advice more questions here and then we'll get to the waiver wire ad of the week uh but we had to have that discussion about Mason so hopefully you guys are out there and checking that out but be aggressive uh Jordan wants to know how long should we hold on to chase Brown taji Spears and Rico D I need to drop at least one because I need to replace Ferguson so who's the most droppable of brown Spears and Rico Suave I think going off of the week one usage I want to say it's Chase Brown because Zach Moss LED most of that back field I think he had like 60% of the work um I and again I talked about all draft season like I'm not a huge believer in Zach Moss's talent but I was kind of expecting more of a 50-50 split than what we got in week one and I think you're looking at two backfields with Chicago and Dallas that are kind of a split I will say uh Tony poer does have more of that Tennessee backfield that maybe we were given him credit for in draft season uh but I'm a Believer more in the talent of Taj Spears than I am the talent of Chase Brown um Rico D I understand the concern dude I just got through that game for the primer and neither one of those backs were good but I'm telling you Ezekiel Elliott has nothing left in the tank like it is I with you man I'm buying Roo everywhere people want to give up Rico I'm like give him to me I'm gonna wait this he's going to earn more of that backfield like it's gonna happen overthinking it I thought he played really well for you is it Gino is it Mayfield is it fields or is it Jones I Mayfield and I watched every single second of that game because I wanted to see how Jaden Daniels looked in week one and Baker Mayfield just jumped off the page and I know it was the I get it was the commanders but Baker Mayfield looked freaking fantastic dude he looked so comfortable in that offense he was making Off Script plays he was running some he didn't get that much last year and so I I love Baker Mayfield right now and yeah to deo's point the last 17 games the last 17 quarterbacks that have faced the the Washington commanders only two quarterbacks have finished outside the top 12 in fantasy scoring um in those 17 games was Mack Jones and Trevor Simeon outside of that top 12 weeks now you could say that for Daniel Jones I would much rather make the bet on Baker Mayfield better Talent better quarterback better weapons High total game too there gonna be points in that game high total game uh I know Lions defense is good still but come on all right let's get to the wer wire ad of the week here uh Isaiah likely nine Isaiah Likely Waiver Wire Pickup receptions 111 yards a touchdown 21 fantasy points guy was unbelievable we did kind of a mini breakdown the Pod yesterday but just to kind of recap for everybody too when it comes to likely we all three of us myself Debro Pat all thought that we would be right in the Mark Andrews is you know going to be fine let's not freak out here quite yet um but I think all three of us also believe that likeley is going to have a role in this offense going forward because they really don't have any of the Great Wide receivers flowers was definitely the favorite toy and the wide receiver and it wasn't even close in that market for Baltimore it's a good matchup for them this week against the Raiders uh I I'm telling you right now like I'd be buying Andrews but the aggression unlikely should be there especially it's going to get magnified dbo based upon yeah Ferguson and joku it's gonna get wild it's gonna get wild like I mean Joe what do you think the range is like the the bottom to the top range of like most leagues we're in right now that like the the bids on unlikely I I think we're probably going to see like 30 to 40% am I wrong with that no I think it's going to be yeah I think at some leagues is going to be 15% and some leagues he's gonna go for 35% where it's gonna be crazy and I'm fine like I'm fine bidding like 15 177% on him if you really are in Dire Straits for a tight end like there's a world we live in where he's top 12 top 15 we flip over the cards at the end of the year I'm lower on it because I don't think this 30% Target share reproduces week after week this is probably the best game of the season for him and that's not shocking like because he put up just a monster statline but I I'm with bidding for him I'm just not going to out of the all the players we can talk about today Joey like to blow your Fab for and really be aggressive for fine Jordan Mason I'm in JK Dobbins I'm in Isaiah likeley I'm probably gonna like I'll put in like 12 to 15% probably 15% for most leagues but you're not going to see me bidding 30 and 35% so I'm probably not going to get him in most spots well I I think it also gets magnified too because the tight ends were disappointing I mean here's the here you go here's the tight end ones for bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad because conade was also terrible uh so likely was number one Foster Moro was number two my boy Kyle pittz yeah number three Jaan Johnson chika Kongo Brock Bowers who I was concerned with about the foot Kobe Parkinson then leaport at eight and joku at nine who's hurt now at 10 Tucker craft at 11 and Noah gray at 12 there's only two guys three Brock Bowers who are drafted basically in that like top 10 range I I just K you could throw in there too but it's like more than 50% yeah bride was disappointing I mean like a lot of disappointing things in Arizona this week but look at the same time that will bounce back it's one week it's anly Let's Not freak out all right let's go to dp's question here hey Pros Bros shout out to Eric JK Dobbin Ste and Drop DeMario Douglas or Darnell Mooney? Deb did give you you gave Eric I gave him props Ericson was on this the entire offseason dude shout out to Ericson here's one uh should I drop pop Douglas or Mooney or both uh on waiver wire is Madison bsby and Lazard I'm not chasing Alan Lazard he chasing Al Lazard that's a bad no no no no no because Mike Williams is gonna Factor him more especially you know the further I would I would drop Mooney for bsby that's what I would do I would drop I would drop both pop and Mooney for bigs being and Madison um just cuz I New England ran like a four to five wide receiver rotation Kurt Cousins looked like he had no juice on the ball in week one so the Deep ball see who plays more games for quarterback for the Falcons this year panics her cousins I mean right now dude it's what and what I'm 5050 right now because if cousins doesn't regain any of that plant power like and I look I I dismissed it in the offseason I dismissed it in the off season I think better days are ahead for kir but week one was concerning and he was J.K. Dobbins vs. Jordan Mason versus a really good defense we got to throw that out there too yeah definitely you know there's definitely a lot more uh left there um there's a lot of people too you know should I who do you prefer more because I see this question a lot so I'm going just kind of ask it's like in a big meta version JK Dobbins or Mason who would be the bigger priority for you I assume Dobbins right doin would be because he he offers the Standalone value and we talked about this in the podcast and but I'm going to mention it here again I think people are sleeping on how good he was in week one and how much of the backfield because like if you're just looking at the box score you're going to miss this he played almost 60% of the snaps he ran 17 routes versus Gus Edwards four and the other thing about this because I just got through the um the Dallas and New Orleans game I'm telling you right now Carolina's run defense is going to be a bottom three unit Alvin chra barely broke any tackles and walked away from that game with a really juicy stat JK Dobbins is going to absolutely put it on him this week he is going to have another strong outing versus the Carolina Panthers so for me it's Dobbins and this is not any shade against Mason but like if seems he does come back or when he comes back Mason's probably back on the bench or like in a breather roll like maybe eight is all one you might live to regret but I understand doing it now I'm going to pull up rest of season ranks Xavier worthy for Mason who would you rather have rest of season I'd rather have worthy but I'm just worthy throwing it out there can you sell Rasheed Shahed off the big day five for three for 73 in a tutty yeah I I would I would trade okay I got a good one for you I would trade Shahid away in that one Jaden Reed or Jordan Mason I take Mason in that I I know that that's that's why I threw him out there like he's the name that jumped off the page for me it's very tricky because you have you have the next couple weeks which don't look good with Malik Willis but you don't know Mason's long-term value so yeah if you start off 0 and one and you don't like your team I can understand that low-end tight end one and you mush him together with Mason and say you can go out there and you can get a Trey McBride you can go out and get a Mark Andrews you can go out and get George TI situation there you can go out and get an elite level tight end that is somebody could be freaking out and they're doubly freaking out about CMC that's kind of in in a perfect vacuum how I would want to attack
