about that me and the end of season recap want me to go to the next week you hear me all right yo I ain't going to lie everybody got to play the computer game after this cuz I don't I genely don't know how the game algorithm works with sing foral typ games you looking now I saw you typing when I said I it up so look during the playoffs right I I I simmed it I'm like okay well these teams are the higher rank so let set them to win set them to lose next see we e you w want the [Music] that's exactly what I thought it was [Music] at the kitchen take yeah that was so RUP I'm like why why didn't put like every College in damn crazy thees n like the one Texas talking about oh [Music] [Music] welcome to the swamp the giant that the head ball coach awakened that thrived in urban renewal and now one where only the Gators Get Out Alive today a clash between two teams from the Sunshine State that will resonate from day to doall as we'll see a squad from the Big 12 the south Florida Bulls taking on a team from the ACC the Florida Gator for EA Sports college football Reese Davis with you alongside David poock and Jesse Palmer and guys can't wait to get this started the gator will kick it away to start us off looking for blockers nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the [Applause] 16 you think the fans are ready for this one the bo shaking underneath this guys hand off from the shotgun he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pick up and moving the sticks for a first down when you go on the road man oh man you love hearing the crowd but more importantly you love shutting the crowd up there's no better feeling than coming out getting that juice going getting that confidence going getting that running game going right at him and G out the gates this crowd trying to make life miserable for this offense Brown will throw it fires to the wide out a beautifully placed ball to the outside and the tow drag for the big pick up and the Bulls come to the line with a new set of downs but Jet Sweep pass inside the 30 he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense yeah way to be creative way to get the ball in the perimeter really quickly get some speed outside all you got to do is secure that edge and you're just trying to get that first down nice job nice play call by the offense they keep attacking through the air he's going to take off he's going to be able to pick up a few yards before the slide Here Comes second down and this crowd is turning it up a notch going to the run it's Johnson he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple as college football evolves guys and players have more rights and they capitalize on name image of likess and teams are in different conferences maybe the biggest thing and the thing that keeps coaches up at night dealing with the transfer Port because they got to make sure that everybody in their locker room is Happy of you're re-recruiting your own players and trying to keep the Wolves at Bay and phone calls that are coming in from other programs trying to steal your guys it is not easy probably as difficult as it's ever been David to be a head coach now with the transfer it is and think about players man if I'm not happy if I'm not getting the run I want like I can just leave I can go get some go somewhere else I can get paid by he's got it in the end zone touchdown ball they'll try to add another to their lead and with the extra point they get the first seven of the game they go 83 y on the drive and they finish it off by connecting from 10 y out on the run from inside his zone five good job by the coverage unit to put a stop to that return [Applause] here comes the offense on first [Applause] down from the gun they'll give it on the inside navigates that mass of bodies and gets four out to the 17 and it's just simple simple first down run showing your physicality setting your offense up in a good spot to the air it's flue feeling some heat trying to make on the scramble well this defense looked pretty good last week of course they had two sacks and their coaching staff told us they really wanted to be able to build on that great news they've already registered a sack here early in this game on Third and long a check down would be the last resort quarterback on the Move still looking now he'll turn one loose back to the middle and the pass is intercepted couldn't find much breathing room to return it but the interception has this off business at the 27 all right guys so here's the offense back on the field again wants to throw on first down the sweet feet by a little time fires a full and now it's picked off and they'll drag down after a good return on the interception that's why you love veterans in this defense they stay locked in on their rules and he made the pick Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense after that last pick David they really need to take care of the ball this time no doubt and Palmer I want to know what spur said to you on the sideline after a pick do that again and you'll be right here beside me for the rest of the game you got to go out you got to call your plays and I hope this coaching staff isn't going to be afraid to throw at this Dr and he's brought to the ground but not before he gets it up for the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs wide receiver now comes in motion touch pass on the Jet Sweep each brought down but he went backwards after that completion not the way they had it drawn up got to give the defense credit watching film anticipating they knew that this had this play in their back pocket they knew about the speed of this wide receiver and different ways they were going to try to get him involved everybody on defense on the same page playing together I love it nice run there picked up a few they'll force him out of bounds well great job there by the defense because they weren't able to get him sacked right away but you saw the coverage in the back end nowhere for the quarterback to throw the football didn't get the sack obviously you don't get the negative play but you also don't give up a big one you're feeling pretty good about where you are right now in this drive [Applause] the playaction fake shoots it to the left and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up yeah and because of the pressure the defense gets pressure on him immediately so quickly that he he makes a bad decision tries to throw it into double cut coverage really nice job pressuring the quarterback up front he'll try to throw and pick up the first down here he goes breaking the pocket throws to the wide out and the ball is picked off God room on the return and they'll CLS in on him after a good return on the interception this is obviously not a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to better job with his decision Mak running back searching for a hole nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry man A lot of times when you Blitz that linebacker it's about timeing you don't show your hand and he gets up to the line of screen gets right through the line makes the tackle for L and as soon as the running back gets the football he's got a face for a linebacker not much you can do there like you got to have a little better block you got to identify fires into traffic intercepted and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick we've just seen in this game the ball has just gotten away from him a little bit a couple of times just hasn't been able to put it where he wants to and as a result that's now his second pick thrown in this game they'll throw it on first down unloads to the wide out got his finally run out of bounds but he has his offense rolling with a first down the G have pushed it inside the 20 motion by the back forces the defense to adjust now he's going to Glide away from pressure he was able to squirt free and pick up a few and avoid a negative play there operating in the Red Zone here on second down looking to throw it's flagway trying to get to it got he gets it in touch down for it on to attempt the [Applause] try and it's up and good quick strike offense on that three playay scoring drive and they top it off with a 14 yd pass for the touchdown and he takes this from inside the five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 South Florida has it back and the Bulls offense will return to the field one of the most valuable things a quarterback can have David shortterm memory just forget that last pick you're dang right clear the mechanism it's over move it behind you some players can't do that real well L one deep down the right side and incomplete on the Deep ball I know that shot down the field was incomplete but you got to keep taking shots those receivers love to go deep it gives them a breath of fresh air they get more excitement they're going to quart back with a little bit more juice cuz you know you're feeding them so fires one high and deep he's got another 25 touchdown USF and once he got loose it was all over well we knew coming into this one guys the offense wanted to get this guy the ball I had no idea it was going to be like this though we're not even done the first quarter he already has over 100 yards receiving about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown and he hauls it in and everybody's on the edge of their seats really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 the gator sending the offense back to work Jesse looking to take it down the field for backto back touchdowns it's really important for them moving forward too to have a lot of balance right you want to be able to keep this defense guessing call yeah and you got me searching for answers after that last Drive you stack another drive on top of this their defense's heads are going to be spinning all over the place as they get set to snap at time winding down here in the quarter back to throw it's flague dances away from the heat he takes a chance and fires it across the field they finally get him on the ground but that's the kind of play that will carry momentum into the second quarter [Applause] back at it to open the quarter with this first down [Applause] play they'll ride the running back and leave it with him NOS is ahead to the 30 yd line to pick up of one the big defensive tackles in the middle always the best pass rushers but they are strong and I say Country Strong they put their hands on you you feel it they lock people out on a line of scrimmage they create separation they wrap running backs up and usually they don't get out of the midst of those big boys he's back to throw on second down got him in it's Hill he's one out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down they pick up the first down on the drag rout I know that seems like a simple route but it's actually a lot more complex than what it looks like because that route changes based on whether it's man or Zone if it's man coverage he's flying across the field if it's Zone he's got to sit down over the ball in a soft spot giving his quarterback a place to go with it nice job of those guys being on the same page there picked up two yard on that last one they need eight on second down moving the running back trying to get the D to tip its hand might be looking to run and he got smacked just as he released the pass it's incomplete I'm impressed with this defense man because that QB is lightning fast you see how fast that Defender was able to get to him and force the incompletion wow after the second downfire looking at a third and eight looking downfield it's flagway now adjusting throws toward the end zone nice job by the defense they mixing up look they thirdd and long in field goal range they go Zone coverage so everybody on the back end has the eye on the quarterback and they're able to break on the ball Force the incompletion and now on fourth down they'll try a field goal it's good he hit that one right down the middle and let's check in with Kevin Conor in the studio Kevin guys let's get you up to speed on what's going down in this fun college football game today LSU is currently a big right now and a game they'll be talking about in Valley for some time they're up 14 over to Lan just another week of college football where we've come to expect the unexpected fellas and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere into a massive giant bodies we'll call it a one yd gain to the [Applause] 24 didn't get much on first down it's second and [Applause] he's looking to throw coming after him trying to make magic with his feet picks up the first down and gets down to avoid contact he can throw it he can buy time he can run it what what can't he do this guy's so talented when he does stuff like this there's no way to stop him there's no way to coach a defense up against this he's just really fast and I can't catch him he run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pick up and moving the sticks for a first down well that's why this running game can be so Dynamic this guy is special when he has the football in his hands he can make people Miss he can run with power and he also has speed you saw it on that last play and he found plenty of Running Room on that one before the defense was finally able to get him down first down you know you always want to establish the running game how about this offense nothing fancy run the football be physical get a big game and he could not get loose on the Run well they want to come out and try to get the Run game established but up front defensively they made a play they gave up nothing on that one got to find some breathing room if you're going to establish yourself on the ground and there wasn't any that time yeah ree I wonder now if this offense is maybe going to try to get to the perimeter of the field and see if they can use their speed to hurt this defense Brown wants to pass and he has a solid gain on the play before sliding nice job by the QBs sitting back in the pocket you can tell he wants to throw the football go through his progressions nothing home take off and slide I love the slide at the end don't take a big shot on Third and short the power run here couldn't quite nudge it in not sure you could get much closer but it'll be first and goal and that's all you want right you want that first down understand the situation understand I got to get North and South get a first down get a new set of damage keeping it on the ground on first and goal really nice stop there from this senior leader yeah and I tell you what I I love the Run game down here I love being able to give it to a back and be able to trust him listen he didn't have any touchdowns on the season know want to punch one in and wedges pushes and he's over and in for the touchdown man those are so hard to stop defensively we're just trying to dive in there on the D line and create a pile and you stuff him on first down and second down they go to Old Faithful run the quarterback sneak to Perfection almost ready to kick it away after scoring the [Applause] touchdown he'll bring it out it's Hawkins stopped the 17 and he's probably second guessing that [Applause] return Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense they are trailing by 10 here Jesse but this is the type of team that seems comfortable in an offensive shootout you got to hold serve at this point right you got to drive the field put some more points up on the board yeah they just scored you can answer that now and keep this thing close and I think you're used to that as offense like football is so fastpaced now and you score so quickly it's not that big of a deal to get down 10 you keep being you keep being aggressive just a short pass to the tight end that's a really good tackle there giving up some size and still making the play we've reached a two-minute warning and this thing has been onesided and they hope to at least have something to feel good about going into halftime facing a third down and short from the 26 they'll try to get it through the air buys a little extra time all kinds of time before he fires right and perhaps a touchdown saving tackle as he gets him down at the 37 and the Gaters will snap it on First and 10 on the run it's Daniels ripping off a good chunk inside the 25 and they're set up with a first down all right well look I know the defense was feeling real good about their run de coming into this one and how they've been playing up to this point but finally David the offense breaks through and they finally generate something positive on the ground and I can't tell you how easy it is when you're going to throw the ball consistently and I know it I'm going to P my ears back and I'm going to get to the quarterback it makes life really easy on the defensive line but when you can have balance now the defense doesn't know what's coming they need more of this if they're going to be successful on offense that kind of pick up on first down you can a shot here on second and short they get him on the ground but not before he gets enough for the first down you know you start in day one of training camp running your base runs you need a few yards you run these plays you need a first down you run these plays you re over and over and over again they're not sexy they're not pretty but in the end they're effective and they get you that new set of downs when you need them it first and goal this feels like their chance to give him a [Applause] finish quick pass on the Fly motion knock down for the T and these little touch passes man they're just the easiest completions ever for quarterbacks Palmer I bet you would have love being able to just Flip It Forward that counts as to your completion percentage which is good and then it's all so pretty easy for a QB you wouldn't have been the only allaman in this booth da if I were allowed to have Push passes when I was playing P I'll tell you that it is so hard to defend but so hard to seal that edge especially when this guy's Full Speed Ahead coming around the outside so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty just a few seconds remaining here as they try to put something up before halftime On The Run it's Daniels and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles him to the ground we've got a timeout in the waning seconds of the half maybe a chance to get off a couple more plays they've gotten pushed back but is still third and goal looking to pass it's flue still looking on the move leashes to the end zone and he was going for the touchdown there and they couldn't make the connection they love nothing better than to add a three ball here before the break right on target the first time now he'll try another from 24 yd out it's good easy call for the ref that's the end of the second quarter that means it's time to join Kevin in our halftime update the Bulls will line up to kickoff and start the second half [Applause] he'll bring it out it's Hawkins not nearly as much as he' hoped when he brought it out of the end zone he'll be stopped at the 15 the gator sending the offense back to work a big reason they find themselves trailing to start the second half those two turnovers in the first yeah and I think coaches will tell you the number one thing that you got to make sure to do is take care of the football you want to create explosives you want a bunch of yards but step one Jesse taking care of the football it just goes to show you how critical those mistakes are only two plays that's really what separates this team for potentially having the lead if they clean up the errors they've got a chance to win this game oh he's ready to take a shot he's got it down the left side all kinds of Running Room touchdown Gator and once he found some daylight it was time to make a house call this coach that was trying to identify Playmakers on offense early this year how about the start of the season this guy has had scored in their first game the scored early in this one defenses up to this point don't have any answers for this guy on the move from inside is five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 South Florida ready to send the offense back onto the field there wasn't much need to throw it around on that last drive for the touchdown Jesse they got it done running the ball and David I don't think you have to overthink this thing if they can't stop running it why would you stop handing it on just keep at it here on this drive well and if I'm the defense I'm making some changes I'm bringing in more big bodies I'm playing more aggressive towards the line of scrimmage I am not going to let them have that kind of drive again and how loud is it in this building this is crazy this these fans are going absolutely nuts and I used to love when the fans got involved and I'm on defense because it messes with the snap count it messes with the communication and it can really rattle on offense Brown will throw it and the pass rush is effective and they tackle him at the 19 and this offense has done such a good job protecting their dude at quarterback but the defense finally gets home listen that's their third sack in two weeks they got to do a better job applying pressure on the quarterback trying to play a little field position with that high high punt fair catch called for and [Applause] made Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense this could be a real point in the game they scored a touchdown they got a stop and now a chance to break the tie yeah this offense has got it cooking man and how about the defense great job getting that stop getting the football right back to the hot hand now this offense Palmer has a chance to take the lead you can see the offense too they understand the situation right now they were jonesing on the sidelines to get another opportunity to run back on the field they are ready to drive this ball and go score linebackers have such an amazing responsibility got to play run got to play about this seeing the Run aggressively getting downhill and getting in the back field and making the tackle for a loss off the play F and the quarterback will take a sack back at the 36 this defense they are tenacious and they've got guys up front that are athletic and that are so strong and then can collapse the pocket you saw it right there in that play action attempt tremendous awareness along the sideline and the ability to get the foot down for the big pick up and they just want to give this guy a chance to make a play on third down and more times than not he is going to deliver he's so good so efficient such a good route Runner got the speed got the complete game so you definitely want to highlight him and especially on those Downs that matter the most if something's not open Quick underneath find him they'll make those contested catches going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone back to pass it's Flag he's got the back in the middle that completion will take it inside the four and the off is threatening you know and that's why this guy can play first second and third down you've already seen him earlier in the drive rip off some nice runs but he can catch the football as well they're going to find ways to get him going in all sorts of ways but you're seeing it specifically on this drive really strong job by the defense a negative play on third down that's a great job executing up front by the defense they looked like they were ready for that play and that was a bit of a more unconventional look from the offense on third down but the defense was there to make a big stun and this one splits the upright and they go back on top let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin Conor Kevin what do you got Gentlemen let's take a look at what's happening in this exciting college football game LSU is currently ahead in this one in Death Valley but I can see Mike the Tiger out there pacing this has been a very close game they're up by a field goal over to we'll Circle back if anything changes in this exciting college football match up thanks for the update on that one Kevin let us know when it goes [Applause] final moving out of the pocket he's got it all right After Burner coming touchdown South Florida and that one will give him the lead that's his third touchdown pass of the day the defense has no clue how to respond right now no and the defense has had absolutely no answer he's been on the money he's been on fire making the right decisions and just carving this defense up lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive he'll start the return inside his spot not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 the gator sending the offense back to work always good to get points on a drive David but Chip Shot field goals can leave you a little empty and I think it's great to get points but the great teams get touchdowns in the red area you got to get out there this time and execute a little better on this drive you're absolutely right David generally the best r Zone offenses are the ones that run the ball best so let's see if they can be a little bit more physical on this [Applause] drive line getting set on second down the receivers often will run their route based on a side adjustment wants to throw it's lague quarterback adapting got away from trou got rid of it finds the tight end they able to get him stopped just shy of the first down Mark well you hear all the time that the tight ends the QB's best friend you saw a perfect example of it on that last play right second down you need to pick up some positive yards to keep this third down manageable really nice job of executing that trying to escape and get it himself nice job there to limit The Running Room and they get him out of bounds after a short gain and he just does enough to get that first down it wasn't pretty it's not going to look great on the stat sheet I know he ran a very long way to go get that one or two yards to move the sticks but at the end of the day awesome individual effort keep this drive going that's a really good job by the defense wrapping them up getting them on the ground take away that run game make them onedimensional put him in passing situations really good job by the defense after picking up a couple at second and eight fing play action fir to the big fella important in the passing game that it's not just receivers doing all the work you got to get running backs involved you got to get your Big Fellas you got to get the tight ends going too a third down try for the [Applause] offense here's a snap ready to cut one loose moves around to clear up the vision he Chucks one out to the right and it's picked off for the third time today and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception well he was rolling to his right because of that I don't know if it affected the timing between him and his wide receiver they just weren't on the same page on that one as the defense comes away with the int South Florida has it back the Bulls offense will return to the field a quick strike touchdown up top the last time they had it Jesse they'd love to do it again no doubt they've got so many Playmakers on the perimeter David just find a way to get these guys the ball in space and you already started man making that big play opening up this offense this quarterback is feeling good about himself I wouldn't be surprised if they give it right back to him Brown wants to pass fires to the wide outs it in he works his way inside the 30 down to the 29 and picks up a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs from the gun they'll try to impose their running game able to pick up a couple down to the 27 and the defense doing a great job committing to the run when you commit to the run like this obviously you can give up some play in the game but you got to stop the run first picked up two yard on that last one they need eight on second down wide receiver coming across in motion touch pass on the Jet Sweep nice solid form tackle from this sof well and on these little push passes timing is so important you're trying to snap but right as he's getting a full head of steam when he gets the ball he's get outside David it puts the defense in such a difficult spot you immediately have to be rotating when you see that motion so everybody's got to communicate and kind of bump over that's why offenses love to run it just it makes the defense communicate and see if you can just get him out of the spot hard running there nice run there to keep things moving before they force him out of bounds [Applause] thir they'll keep the offense on the field on fourth down already with a one possession lead he'll try to throw and pick up the first down he's got him and they convert that was such a risky call with the lead in the game to go for it on fourth down that could have been disaster if they don't get it but with the conversion now the question is that enough to ice this thing and win the game receiver on the Move gets the touch [Applause] pass they'll pick up four second and Six coming going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone the hand off to Johnson and not much doing there as that defense runs him out of bounds [Applause] [Applause] TI quarters deep in the Red Zone but they can pick up a first down without scoring third down Brown will throw it and a missed opportunity on third down as the defense knocks it free and fourth down is coming up so on fourth down here comes the field goal kicker in a huge spot it is perfect well that's a huge kick right there because now the opponent has to score a touchdown here in the fourth quarter that put so much pressure on the opponent now nice job by the Special Teams going out and executing in a big moment here he comes from inside his own five he goes out of bounds on that return right at the 20 yd line Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense mistakes are going to happen as they did on that last now how will they respond Jesse and this is the kind of guy who's going to take full accountability that was my bad that's on me I'm about to lead this offense now down the field and score some points dang I wish I would have played with you I didn't play with many quarterbacks I'm just like yeah my bad hey guys I got this sorry about that it was more we should have ran a better route fast motion from the offense quarterback making adjustments with his receivers off the play fake on first down to throw he'll fire to his right and they won't make the connection going for the big play well the defense didn't get caught napping there in this situation you know they have to stay alert for the Deep ball yeah so what defense am I going to call I'm going to keep some DBS back deep I'm going to keep my safety a little bit deeper understanding they're down they're going to have to attack down the field I'm going to stick to my passing sets my nickel my Dives oh loves to fire down field another interception this guy just can't find his own players defensive backs have tough jobs I mean you think about whether you play nickel whether you play dime whatever it is you put more DBS on the field it's more speed it's more guys that can cover open Runway ahead touchdown BS and they take it in for six more points I love execution on that play great blocking up front just to get the ball carrier an opportunity in the second level of the defense and then at that point it was make a guy Miss and use the speed that was a perfectly executed play and the extra point is true and they have a two touchdown lead up 14 in the fourth that's the kind of Drive everybody loves see quarterback One Snap put it in the end zone [Applause] about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown he'll bring it back from inside to SP just never had a chance to shake loose and he'll be brought down with the 24 the gator sending the offense back to work after throwing the pick on the last drive need to take care of the ball this time Jesse we're going to find out a lot about this quarterback right here too how does he fight through adversity after that last Drive yeah clear the mechanism move on that's a part of it right you're going to be a great player got to learn how to handle these mistakes and move on just gets rid of the football nobody to throw it to it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they'd throw it again from the gun running back on the Move really nice job to squirt his way up to the 31 yd line the Gators will hustle to the line receivers telling the quarterback what they see throws to the wide out finds him man on the left oh and the defense in Chase mode and they finally get him down at the 35 and with that one he's now over three bills for the game and there's two reasons why re he's made good decisions and he's been accurate throwing the football all game long getting some heat now he'll throw back into the middle ball into the end zone and it's intercepted trying to take it back and they capitalize not only on the pick but the great return to give the offense tremendous field position they'll start this drive 60 yds in front of them from their own 40 the handoff keep working on that clock creating some space getting just enough good blocking and they've got it up to the 47 yd line and I like the first thought process right here run the football we want to run that clock with the lead thank you to the defense for forcing that turnover setting us up now if we can put a few first downs together we're looking really good as an offense you've got the lead you had success running the football you hope that this play is just the blit because you know you're going to have to lean on your bcow running back to ice this game and close it up brown wants to pass starting to feel a little pressure he steps out of bounds but he's got a first down on the play and such a great job using his feet being smart you got the lead in this football game don't force the ball down the field gets the scramble gets the first down what a clutch play in the fourth qu he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three it's going to be tough sledding for the offense here they're trying to ice this game by running the football and bleeding the clock they've got a pretty good lead here late in the game but the defense knows the run's coming right so they're going to be loading the line of scrimmage getting stops like what they just did be interesting to see what the offense does on this next one a solid pick up there before the defense is able to make the stop third it's third down now they ought to be able to get off one more play before the two-minute warning we reached the two-minute warning and this offense will be quite content just to drain the rest of the time away this is a big third down if they can move the chains they down guys you look at the scoreboard you look at how much time is left I think they're going to lose this football game this coaching staff is going to have to dig deep and try to find ways to get
