The NFL SCREWED The Seahawks - 2024 Seattle Seahawks Preview and Schedule Breakdown

Intro goodbye Pete Carol one of the longest tenured head coaches in the NFL no longer helping out on the sidelines with the Seattle Seahawks a whole new look of coaches back there what will it mean when it comes to wins and losses in 2024 that's what today's video is all about going through what has changed from 2023 until now breaking down the three biggest stats that I found in my offseason research and then of course going through the schedule week by week game by game which one's a win which one's a loss and what's the final record for this seaw team that was oh so close to the playoffs last year I don't know where we're going but there's a lot of things to talk about this is my second to last NFL breakdown video after this we have those amazingly putrid Arizona Cardinals coming out tomorrow and then Monday morning we're diving into the week one slate of NFL games a video on this channel every day from now until the Super Bowl if you want to see more give me a like but for now we got to figure out what that bet is so what has Offseason Changes changed for this Seattle Team well out went a lot of veterans not only did we lose Pete Carol we lost a lot of his favorites especially on the defensive side of the ball they walked out the door two other teams and yes they did bring in some names like Jerome Baker or raan Jenkins but no one that you know uh uh moves the needle when it comes to free agency however in the draft I loved their first round pick of byon Murphy and already he is wowing in Camp and in the preseason for this Seahawks team I think he's going to be a player immediately and this draft class needs to produce immediately because there are openings on this team that need to be filled and obviously we're going to build through the draft that's how this team should be building we've done it on the defensive side with some of these cornerbacks and defensive backs now we're doing it with the rest especially in the trenches on this team and I'm excited to see how that grows and then of course the biggest change the new head coach the man comes from Baltimore had one of the best defenses that this league has seen in quite some time however had one of the best rosters as well in Baltimore and does not have the same caliber of player quite yet in Seattle offensively we're bringing up the University of Washington play caller and I'm excited to see how that affects this Goos Smith offense with those wide receivers I think we could have a lot of fun here especially fantasy wise with this team however I don't think it's a complete turnaround in year one for this squad we just don't have what I assume to be the same caliber of quality here on the defensive side of the ball that this that this coaching staff had in Baltimore should be a better defense in fact it got to be a better defense it can't be as bad because we're going through the stats next first set I want Three Biggest Stats to talk about this defense was putrid just absolutely terrible one of the worst defenses in the league they turned the ball over some but even that was not a good step but all of these numbers here including 32 in the league and yards per drive awful awful awful defense and it was good that all those veterans left all those veterans who went to other teams altogether it didn't work out under Pete Carol and what was happening here and some of the players that stayed I'm not too excited about some of the players that are still here I don't think they're as good as some of their paychecks deem them to be even the free agencies that came in but if this rookie class can uh uh show up and improve immediately and also this coaching staff it'll be a better defense in Seattle will it be a world beater will it be top 15 I don't know it can't be in the basement anymore it will be better this season the second stat I want to talk about that also portends failure for this Seattle team is the variable stats this is stuff that happened last season that usually teams are 500 in around the median and if you're so far up or down on one of these stats it's naturally going to come back down to the median the biggest one I want to talk about because they were like plus two in turnovers they were plus I think three in return touchdowns plus nine and Sack margin so they were you know on the low plus side of some of those variable stats they could very well be there again however ever they were 4- one in games that were decided by a field goal or less 4- one in those games that's impossible to replicate those games again decided by a field goal it's literally a coin flip who's going to win those games with this new coaching staff maybe Pete Carol was the answer to winning those games and his crazy Penguin on the sideline gum chew himself maybe he had the key to unlocking those field goal wins it's impossible to do that again 4- one is an amazing record in that that's going to come back down to the mean and that's not good when it it comes to breaking down what the win total is for this team and the last one has to do with Gino one of my favorite quarterbacks in the league this guy again came from nothing was cast off he was written off but he didn't write back I've loved the reemergence of Gino Smith and it really has saved this Seattle Squad from doing the full rebuild that they were going to do after the Russell Wilson debacle however Gino did struggle last year went under pressure and every quarterback struggles went under pressure obviously but Gino especially when from being a top 10 top five quarterback when it came to efficiency numbers in a clean pocket to the absolute baseman even below starter level when he was pressure he was 37th in EPA I think he only had 5.3 yards per attempt when he had pressure on him in this Seattle offensive line yes they got rid of some veterans that bringing some new people in especially some rookies they could be better they could be worse they're still not good what they were last year they were 25th in ESPN pass block win rate and 28th in how much pressure they put Gino under last year 40% of his drop backs he faed pressure that could be Gino holding on the ball for too long that old offense it's now going to be a new offense maybe he gets the ball out quicker I don't know but still the pass blocking needs to be better if gin's going to be as successful as he was two years ago because when again there is pressure in his face Gino is not good under that but Schedule Breakdown that's enough about stats about what has changed for their Forester let's go through the schedule how many games is Seattle going to win cuz Vegas right now their win total is 7 and a half that that means if they go eight and N or better they hit the over if they go seven and 10 or worse they hit the under they're not even expected to be a 500 team from Vegas right now and I can tell you why this schedule is difficult and the NFL schedule makers did not really do a good job of giving Seattle an even killed schedule here six games on this schedule and you'll see it on the charts as I go through these six games on this schedule they have three games or Worse rest disadvantage than their opponent that means on average their the team that they are playing has three or more days extra days to sleep to rest to relax to prepare to practice to do all the things you do in a normal NFL Week than this Seahawks team has and that happens six times normally in the NFL and it goes over and over again when you have more than two days of rest disadvantage your win loss record plummets and Seattle got screwed here and the first one happens in this slate right at the start I have Seattle winning the first two games I think they're better than this Denver Squad I think they're better than New England even though they're traveling in New England with an early uh play clock there they'll be playing at 10:00 a.m. on their body clocks I don't care they're winning both those games but Miami even if it's in Seattle has three extra days rest because they played on Thursday the week before I think Miami wins this game and I don't like Miami you can see their CH video on my Channel right now give me a like give me a subscribe help this channel grow Seattle loses this game Seattle loses to Detroit as well I think Detroit is the top of the class of the NFC so we've gone from 2-0 now to 2-2 and then week five again against the New York Giants a team that I despise a team that I have winning two games this year this is one of those two games because of the rest disadvantage that Seattle has going into this four extra days off for that giant Squad heading into this game after you just got beaten up by Detroit who's a very physical team I think the Giants come in and surprise Seattle here we are now two and three and then look at this slate before the Buy San Fran is highlighted in red because that's the third game in 10 calendar days for the Seahawks Monday night Sunday night Thursday night that's a tough tough lift on this Seahawks Squad really every game here on the other other than Atlanta there's some type of rest disadvantage for Seattle going on in this game and even in the Atlanta game that's another 10 a.m. tip off for this Seahawks Squad I see them winning only one game here before the buy and if they do any better in this stretch it's going to yield a lot better results for the future because this right here is the make or break month for Seattle and sadly I think it breaks them three and Six coming out of the buy I do think when Seattle is right they're good enough to beat anybody and with an extra seven days here I do think they win on the road against their division rival the 49ers get a win coming out of the bu they're feeling really good but these next two games two in a row where you're playing the opponent that's coming off of there by full weeks off versus what the Seahawks have and I don't think Seattle wins either of these games even Arizona who I'll do Arizona's video tomorrow the last team I got to talk about I don't like AR Zone at all they have a week off before this game they're getting the win against Seattle but Seattle does get the win back when they play them again two weeks later but again those two games in the middle we have this huge win coming out of the buy lose two straight win another one it's not looking good this season so that's 5 and8 heading into this final stretch and I got to tell you if they're any better at this final stretch they have a real chance of making a run to the playoffs because now that schedule love starts to come back in their favor almost every game here at the and they have some type of an advantage schedule-wise going into these games even though they're pretty good opponents like Chicago and the LA Rams I think Seattle does pretty well at the end here I do think they lose against Green Bay but they win their final three and they go from what was 5 and8 5- n after the Green Bay game I think this team is still going to be really really just a a well put together unit a well coached unit a strong interior strong mentality and I think they get themselves off the mat here and they get a respectable record at the end of this I have them going 8- n and just hitting the over but that is nowhere near my best bet because again there's too many ways this could go wrong and they hit the under here I do not think it's a playoff year for Seattle I don't think they're a basement team I just think they really got screwed over by the schedule and this could be kind of a big off season with Gino Smith and the rest of this team how can we build this team to win in the future because it's not built to win right now and my best Best Bet for 2024 Seattle Seahawks bet has to do with a player prop usually you like to take the unders on the these Bank on injuries but I do think DK if he stays healthy he's going to have a really big year in this new offense uh they said they're going to use him in the romad dun role that this offense had in Washington back in college and that's going to be an amazing fit for DK moving him all around making him the primary target all the time because Gino has shown that he's willing to throw the ball up to DK and let DK go make a play and DK can do that so if he's stays healthy I think it's a big year for DK I think it's a big year for jsn also but over 950 receiving yards is my best bet for a team that I really cannot take a win loss bet on but that is it for
